    Eli's Table is a great brunch spot on the UES. They use the freshest ingredients (visit their market next door to see what I mean) and the service is impeccable. It is slightly more expensive than other brunch places in the neighborhood but I'm willing to pay the price since the quality is so good. My friend and I dined at 2:15 this afternoon. The restaurant had business but wasn't packed or noisy and the waitstaff let us sit and catch up, they didn't rush us at all. The best part of the experience: the bread basket. Many New Yorkers know that Eli's is known for their breads. When you visit for brunch they bring an assortment of breads to the table- multigrain, wheat, raisin and nut and gluten free varieties. We enjoyed them with butter and homemade raspberry jam (yum!). Ordered: Mushroom and cheddar omelet ($18)- the omelet was filled with sautéed mushrooms and cheese. I added caramelized onions. It was served with a fresh green salad. It was delicious! If you are looking for a brunch spot in the east 80s, check out Eli's Table.

    Since moving to the UES over 2 years ago I've repetitively been told how Eli's is a staple in the area and I should check out Eli's table for a fab brunch. After finally going, I do not get what all of the fuss is about. It's just all okay, nothing great, just okay. The interior of the restaurant is cute and feels open, and was certainly pretty busy by noon on a Saturday. I just found the service to be okay, and the food to be just meh. It looks like they offered a lot on their menu, some of which seemed quite expensive. I chose to order the Amagansett Egg and Cheese Sandwich on a Brioche, since it was highlighted on the menu so I figured it must be a popular item. I picked Swiss for the cheese and added bacon, it was good but again, nothing spectacular. I feel like I could go to a lot of other places in the area and have a much more memorable brunch experience. If asked to go back with friends, I won't say not, but I won't be going out of my way to visit Eli's Table again.

    I had several great experiences here , Marco the bartender was my server . He really cares about making me the customer totally satisfied . The food is incredible, always fresh and delicious. Great ambiance and the store next door Eli's Market has excellent products but expensive( totally worth it). All of it is great all around, I highly recommend it.

    Amazing for lunch or dinner. Older and very upper crust crowd (which reflects the absurd prices). Lunch is very leisurely, they never rush you. Usually filled with park ave families, usually well behaved and well dressed children in tow. The ambiance is very relaxed. Great coffee. Great brunch items. You can stay as long as you like. Dinner is great as well; we dined here for Valentine's Day and had an amazing experience. Free champagne and amazing wine pairings. I had pork, very alpine in style, and wife had chicken, which was perfection. Dessert was a bit lacking (chocolate cake) but it was V day so that's to be expected. Classiest restaurant East of Madison.

    At $18 we would have expected a portion that doesn't look like the waiter ate a slice before serving.

    In our household we call the proprietor "goniff" a Yiddish term with a literal translation of "thief." That is due to the outrageously high prices at the restaurant and the store adjacent. Usually, however, the quality is worth the small fortune of dining here on a special occasion. Not lately. Today, the French toast we ordered, with a $16 price tag, looked like someone already ate a portion of it before serving it to us. See the photo to believe it. Do the math. $8 per (paltry) slice! When we asked for another slice we were charged another $8. This was our last outing here despite the convenient location in an area of third Ave with too few brunch options.

    The place is really nice inside, a bit crowded but it's NY. Brunch is really good. Also, the best thing is the jelly they serve, DELICIOUS!!! Service is a bit slow, but the food makes up for It. Definitely recommend.

    What a cool concept, a Michelin quality tasting menu at a secret location!…read more I recently discovered this group via Instagram, their menu is always rotating but the price was really good for NYC - 6 courses for $130 (which includes, tax, tip, and wine pairings)! Since the concept was so interesting and the pricing was really good, I decided to give it a try and booked a reservation for 2 people for a Saturday night dinner. Following my booking, I was emailed instructions for location a few hours later as well as what to expect. The dining location for my dinner was in a rectory house, which still serves priests! It was a bit of a trek to find but it's a fun part of the experience :) The food: each of the six courses were served in timely cadence and I really appreciated that the chef offered such a thorough explanation of each dish both from the ingredients perspective as well as the inspiration behind it. The entire meal was also paired with 4 drinks, one cocktail and 3 wines, which was included in the total price of the tasting menu already. My favorites: -dragonfruit granite: this was a refresher between the "apps" and the "main courses" dishes, the colors were so vibrant and the flavors were nice and cool, great way to cleanse the palate before the heavy meat dish -hamachi crudo: this actually reminded me of ceviche, which is one of my favorite things to eat. The sauce was particularly yummy, it had just the right mix of creaminess that was complemented by the zesty-ness of the lime Overall, really enjoyed this unique dining experience. The food was yummy, the chefs were super fun and the price was a great value! Would definitely recommend dining with Chez Nous :) p.s. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. Plus I kept finding myself checking out the mural on the wall. Try it for yourself - but worth the fight to get a table.

It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!
