No mental tabulation, no cheating, always knowing who is in the lead via large displays at each hole. I also enjoyed the extra layer of gamification like putt through here and get points deducted, answer this trivia question and putt the ball to the corresponding answer and get bonus points. There is also no need to deliberate where to set your ball down for the initial putt because you must put it in the indicated spot at each station. I loved it! I did eat some food here. That part was just ok- kind of over priced and not the widest variety of options. While it was very clean, including the restrooms, it was pretty cold so bring a jacket! The food was just okay - the Boston tailpipes were a miss for me, the poutine wasn't as hot as it should have been and lacked something, and the chicken & waffles flatbread had jalepenos which wasn't my cup of tea. We played two rounds of 9 hole mini golf on the Ember & Emerald courses. The concept is cool but for the amount it adds to a normal mini golf game, it kinda takes away, too. The technology only allows one person in your party to complete the hole at a time. I love the taking turns aspect of the regular game so that was a bummer. Also, there's something about the colored balls with regular mini golf that I love. The ones here are all white. Some holes felt too easy - everything we did was under 4. I did like parts of the scoring system.

I ordered one hot dog several weeks ago and because they were out of hot dog buns, (which was totally fine), this is the sandwich I received, $3.50. Picture below. My kids and their cousins came to enjoy it as one of their go to dishes. Just the right amount of spice and good crunch from the crispy nachos. A lot of iterations of Cottage have come and gone since we were first introduced to it almost twenty years ago. They still serve passionfruit iced tea that hits with a nice tart and a hint of sweetness from the orange. Their sandwiches are tasty, I had a blackened cod. The slaw was a touch too runny, it absorbed the heat of the sandwich and overwhelmed the poor onion ring. The cod survived the onslaught, though, and was well cooked and seasoned. Avoid the charcuterie. It was a mess that looked like it was sourced from the deli counter at the local grocery store. Service was friendly and prompt. Still a decent reliable spot in Wellesley!
