Stick with wine or your own custom drink as the cocktails on the menu tasted like juice. The asparagus on the branzino looked lack luster but was cooked PERFECTLY I was impressed. We booked this place for Sunday brunch (2/15/26) and arrived on time for our reservation. When we checked in, the host informed us that our table was not ready yet. After waiting about 20 minutes past our reservation time, we returned to the host stand to ask for an update and were told the delay would be approximately another 45 minutes. At that point, it was clear that waiting nearly an hour for a reserved table was not reasonable, especially in an area with many brunch options nearby. We decided to leave and found another restaurant close by where we had brunch instead. About an hour and a half later we received a text message saying that our table was finally ready, which honestly made us laugh. We never received any explanation or apology for what was happening. I completely understand that unexpected situations can occur in restaurants, especially during busy hours. However, clear communication with guests about what is happening and realistic expectations about wait times are essential for good customer service. I would consider giving this place another try in the future, but I will probably wait some time until they improve how they provide quality service and ensure better customer satisfaction. read more

Now for the not so great... the service. While the waitress was super nice , the service was slow. It wasn't just her, even the bussers were slow. They would bring one thing and then disappear. I asked for water at least 3 times. We didn't get water until practically the end of the meal and the drinks did not come out in the order we placed them. It was not so busy. In fact we went early to beat the crowd but all wait staff moved at a snail's pace and did not seem communicate with others. We were in a big group so we laughed it all off but had I been in a time crunch or something , I would not have been happy. I had a very disappointing experience here, not because of the food or basic service, but because of how we were handled at the end of our visit. Up until that point, the service seemed fine, we were checked on and were enjoying ourselves. We were in the middle of our drinks and conversation and were about to order another round when, without asking or giving us any indication, our server placed the check directly on the table and told us to pay. There was no question, no offer for additional menu items and no explanation. The server did not step away, so we paid on the spot. Shortly after, a manager came over and asked us to leave the table because they had reservations waiting. I understand the need to manage reservations--that part is reasonable. What is not acceptable is spending roughly $400 and being effectively cut off and pushed out without being given the option to continue ordering or even finish the experience properly. I made the manager aware of how his staff handled the situation, but the damage was already done. Being rushed out like that leaves a very bad impression, especially at a restaurant in this price range. They didn't even offer to accommodate us at another table. For a place that positions itself as an upscale dining experience, this felt unprofessional and transactional. Unfortunately, I won't be returning if this is how guests are treated. read more

Beautiful place right on the river at Elia on the River. I was in the area (Thursday)and had this restaurant on my list of places to visit, so we decided to stop by for dinner and drinks while waiting for traffic to ease since we live in Broward County. The service was on point. The bartender, Francisco, was great, and Oscar was also very attentive. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. We had reservations for 7:30pm on a Saturday night. We showed up on time, checked in and were told to wait at the bar. After 30 minutes waiting, they called on us to be seated and took us to the end of the restaurant, just outside the doors, to a small table tucked away behind a large plant that was being used to cover the giant speaker on the floor from where the music was coming. You could tell this table was one of those after-thoughts that someone thought would be a good decision to just throw a small table for 2 into a forgotten corner of empty space to try to monetize an extra 10 square feet of wasted space. We mentioned to the hostess that, no, that table was just not going to work for us and asked if we could be seated anywhere else. She went to check and then came back and told us another table would be a wait of an hour or more. Mind you, we had a reservation for which they sat us 30 minutes late and now they wanted us to wait another hour plus? We expressed our discontent with that but were told there was nothing they could do. So we left and had a wonderful dinner at the Asian place, Tanuki, directly across from Elia where they were able to seat us immediately without a reservation, even though they were fairly crowded and we had an excellent meal. I feel that level of customer service at Elia was just completely unacceptable and showed that they truly do not care about the customer but are more interested in their Instagram photo opportunities and pretentious BS. read more

Customer Service from our waiter felt super rushed like she wanted us to leave the whole time. We were sat down in the busiest part of the restaurant super tight space literally where every waitress was walking through, couldn't even lean back a little if i wanted to. Ambiance was nice but the people sat behind us were louder than the Dj for some reason. Went to Elia on Sunday afternoon there was live music and a great ambiance. The restaurant is well appointed and our waiter Mark provided great service. He offered suggestions when asked and could not have been nicer. The drinks and food did not disappoint. Yum had the grilled octopus with olives and a delicious hummus. Try anything that has the feta so sublime. We went with the specials the pasta was so fresh and the truffle and steak were perfect. My husband had the whole snapper it was amazing and had a great presentation as well as flavor. Ended with the orange cake which is a traditional Greek dessert and is the best we've ever had. So happy with my experience at Elia! Came here with friends for my birthday. We sat outside by the river and the ambiance was divine. It was dimly lit and intimate and it was lovely that at a table of 8, we were all able to hear each other. Food was delicious and well portioned. I got the spicy rigatoni and it looked so good, I dove into it immediately. Half of the table got the rigatoni and the other half actually experimented, but everyone left happy with their meal. The birthday surprise was a surprise that's for sure. The servers crept up on us and scared the entire table with their entrance, screaming "Happy Birthday!" and completely stunning everyone with two strobe lights. If going for a birthday, please be prepared as this really caught everyone off guard and my friends said they wouldn't have requested it if they had known. The pistachio cake was delicious though. We also got a tiramisu to share that was a table favorite, but I preferred the pistachio cake. A bit disappointed with our Mother's Day experience. I had visited Elia for the first time a few weeks prior with some friends for brunch and we really enjoyed it--the food, drinks, and service were all great, and the restaurant itself is beautiful with amazing river views. That visit made me want to bring my mom back for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, this time felt very different. The bottomless brunch drinks, which were $35 on my first visit, had conveniently gone up to $55 just a few weeks later, wh. Some of the menu items we had really liked were no longer available, and the service was underwhelming at best. I understand it was a busy holiday, but the overall experience just didn't match what I had enjoyed the first time--and the price increase left a bad impression. Sweet and refreshing and just the right amount of alcohol. Then we had some bread that was fresh and tasty. For appetizers we had some salads, burrata and cheese and everything was done with fresh ingredients and delicious. Now to our main entrees, they were all very good some better than others. We were a large group celebrating a birthday. The best plates were the pasta and seafood risotto. I'll definitely order the pasta again here. The dessert plate was also amazing. My favorite was the chocolate, but for others it was the pistachios. The reason I took a star off it was because of the service. It was not on point with the ambiance and food. She attempted to scam me by claiming they didn't have Glenlivet 12 Years and tried to sell me the 18 Years for $33 instead. This place is beautiful! I was looking for a place to celebrate my mom's bday and this fit the bill. The decor is phenomenal. You walk into the bar area and it's a showstopper. Our reservation was at 6:15 so there were only like 2 or 3 other groups there so we got to appreciate the whole restaurant. The seating was so so comfy and supportive which is great if you're coming with an older person who has trouble getting up from seats. THE FOOD: Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. We all were raving about our dishes. Very good, so good that my mom spoke very highly about her Lamb dish. I always joke that if my mom speaks highly about the food then the place should get a Michelin star. She's that selective (aka picky) . If you get the lamb dish, don't get a side dish, it's a good size and comes with its own mashed potatoes. We got her a side of truffle mashed potatoes and she really like it but the ones that her dish brought were better. She ended up taking the truffle mashed potatoes home because it was a lot of food. All the plates were good sizes. We left very satisfied. THE SERVICE: First of all... everyone was beautiful and very nice. The hostess was impeccable, gorgeous dusty rose colored satin dress, beautifully done hair and makeup. She really gave you the vibe that you were about to have a luxurious experience. Our waitress was so beautiful, sweet, and attentive. Everyone was on top of their game. THE PRICES: Pretty pricey but compared to other high end places it was doable. We ordered 3 plates, 1 side dish, 1 still water, 1 dessert, no drinks, no appetizers and it came out to $160 with the 20% service charge included. It seems that most trendy restaurants want to include the 20% service fee on there so here's a tip, keep your bill low like we did. Here's another tip, they only give you the option of still or sparkling water. You'd think they'd only charge for sparkling water but they charge for both. Ask for tap water. They do charge for the birthday surprise dessert as if it were a dessert ordered at the end of the meal. The waitress added my mom's name on the dessert plate so that was a cute detail and birthday wishes in the back of the check. I don't know if they do that for everyone or if it was her own added touch. THE PERKS: They have a parking garage at the building and the first 2 hours are free. That gives you plenty of time to eat and walk along the river. They have gorgeous outside eating. It's very pretty and right off the river. There were boats passing by and a nice yacht there which made it more fun. CONCLUSION: I do recommend this place, probably more suited for a special occasion or if you want to pamper yourself and splurge a little it's a good place. Definitely come. Where can I start at with this restaurant. ... starting with the seating. I requested terrace and first I could not enjoy the experience of the terrace because they seated me close to the wall. In the beginning I wanted to be close to the wall I would have asked for an inside seating. Then after a few minutes they sat a couple where I was requesting to be seated.
