Lots of other food enthusiasts have been recommending it for months so finally we made it and don't know why we waited so long. The place is stunningly decorated (make sure you ask for it be history behind the decor). They make you feel at home the second you check in. We had a feast and it was all good! Check out the food photos for reference. Good collection of unique drinks and wine to pair with your meal. Advice, sit outdoors to enjoy the boats passing by read more

Came for Sunday lunch with my best friend. Service was great (shout-out to John). Food was delicious. Ambiance was divine, from the decor and live jazz to the waterfront views. The bottomless aperol spritz cocktails were perfectly mixed. To eat, we had the burrata and meatballs - both were phenomenal, but the real star was their filet mignon pappardelle pasta. It was incredible. We were too full to get anything else, but definitely plan on going back and trying their lobster ravioli, which sounded amazing. read more

Elia - Italian Near Me - Miami, Florida

Did it blow my mind? No. Was it bad? Not at all. THE PLACE: Elia is located in River landing shopping center on the first floor overlooking the Miami River. Parking is free for two hours. The restaurant has seating inside and outside, and is absolutely GORGEOUS (very pink and fem) - making this perfect for a date, mothers day or girlfriends outing spot. THE FOOD: On our visit, we were a group of 11 and decided to only order a few drinks, appetizers and two pizzas. We ordered ALL the apps on the menu (wasnt able to snap pics of all), a cheese and a pepperoni pizza. All were good and felt very fresh, but there wasnt that "wow" factor in anything. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, and that a was quite nice, fluffy, smooth and not overbearing in sweetness. 5/5. THE SERVICE: Rafael (?) was a patient, kind and professional. read more

Gave this place a try with my friends, they chose the spot as we were looking for a place with a nice view. The place itself is extremely beautiful and had nice decorative pieces. The only downside is that this place was extremely overpriced. I do want to say that the cocktails were delicious but alot not worth $22. The hummus and pita appetizer was my favorite. It was the perfect creamy consistency. The pasta was okay, nothing special, but the desserts were excellent. I think this place is nice if you want a riverside view with good vibes, but once for me was okay. The service was great. read more

You know those random stops when after a busy work day, gym and walking but you still manage to wander somewhere fancy? This was me Monday at Elia. It was open around 10 pm and while I wasn't as fancy as the yacht life folks, I secured a spot at the bar. For one, they have live music even on Mondays covering a great mix of Marc Anthony, Celia and others. My burrata salad was a cool creamy bowl flavored with basil pesto, baby tomatoes and seasoned with a yummy mix of balsamic vinegar and a tomatillo sauce. Fresh bread rounded out the appetizer portion. The main event was a deliciously large chicken paillard more casually known as grilled chicken. It was very well grilled yet tender and flavorful, even without the fresh chimichurri. The salad included more of the baby tomatoes along with pickled onions, carrot slices and fresh greens. Since I had come straight from both a HIIT and a walking workout, I skipped on dessert. However, I did indulge a glass of Pinot Grigio which was refreshing enough to unwind and detox from the stressful afternoon at work. As others mentioned, it might've been a little pricier than say the health food store on the opposite end of the mall, but it makes sense to hear you're paying for the vibe, the views and music. I would certainly come back here say on a date night or another more elegant time. read more

Happy Hour on the water with live music. Absolutely!! I pop in occasionally at River landing to go to the shops. And ride past by boat more often and always put a pin in stopping in. Finally timing aligned and I am really glad that it did. Delicious happy hour bites and drinks and my kind of vibes. On top of really good service across the board. Honorable mention goes to our server Mia though for being so sweet and attentive. We tried the spicy rigatoni, margherita pizza, meatballs, caprese, and for dessert I forget the exact name of the pistachio sorta cheese cake. But everything was so good and all came out really quick which was great because I was starved from shopping. I'll absolutely be back for formal dinner soon. read more

Overall, the food absolutely made the wait worth it. Our reservation was for 8:30 PM, but we waited about 40 minutes before being seated. While we waited, we grabbed drinks at the bar. The live music added a nice touch, though it was definitely on the louder side. The drinks were good and clearly made with care, though we did have to ask the bartender to mix our two cocktails together since one was much stronger than the other--even though they were the same drink. He fixed it quickly, and after that they were perfect. We were seated at a table right between the indoor and outdoor areas; even though we had requested outdoor, and it was HOT. Still, the décor and overall ambiance were beautiful, just a bit loud because of the music. Since it was already getting late, we placed our order right away. Unfortunately, our bruschetta didn't arrive until the same time as our entrées: the Kansas steak (special) and spicy rigatoni. The food ended up taking about 40 minutes. To their credit, management noticed and went above and beyond to make things right. They comped the bruschetta and offered us a complimentary dessert and drink, which we really appreciated. And truthfully: the food was DELICIOUS. We devoured everything. Aside from ending up eating past 10 PM for an 8:30 reservation, the overall experience was enjoyable. We'd definitely come back; just wouldn't choose that particular table next time. read more

I had this restaurant on my list of must try places for the past couple of weeks, and I am so glad I had the chance to finally come. I decided to take my mom here for lunch and we both enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. The space was decorated beautifully and the outdoor space was so serene. My mom and I ordered the hummus and salmon and tuna tartare to start. Both items were delicious and the portions were perfect for sharing. I had the chicken parm and it was massive. I was only able to eat a third of it. It came with a arugula salad, which I wasn't a fan of, but only because I personally do not like arugula. My mom had the lamb chops were hug as well and super tender. She loved them. My only critique of the restaurant is that I did feel a bit rushed by my server which was extremely off putting; especially consider we can on a Monday afternoon and the restaurant was more than half empty. I would definitely recommend and plan on returning soon. read more

Couple things kept our group from liking this place more than three stars. Food is above average, but can be pricey on some items. Example: daily special Branzino (Mediterranean Sea Bass) was "market priced" at $46. Typically this should be $30-$40, so make sure you ask unless you don't care what you pay. Cocktails are expensive at $27 w/ tax & tip added. Menu doesn't state prices for these, so wonder if they make them up based on what they think you can afford. An Aperol Spritz should not be $27 when including tax & tip, even in Miami. The glass was filled entirely with ice... Disappointing... The Elia Bellini, @ $27, was above average and with a good amount of liquor (see pic). Another negative is the "forced" 20% "service charge". Typically this is charged for large groups, not for two or four people. Service was good, but this is not something you see at nice restaurants. Anytime a restaurant does this I don't leave anything more regardless of how good the experience was. And what happened to the tipping standard of 15%? High cost is why people are eating out less and less... Ambiance is very "Miami" looking. Inside seating is quaint even though you can see everyone across the restaurant. Some tables have couches on one side. Outside seating is completely covered with a pretty view of the Miami River. Restaurant is located on the ground floor of the River Landing retail center. Parking in the attached garage is free for the first two hours. Then $5 for the third hour. Nice to do some walking around after dinner with TJ Maxx, Ross and Burlington. There are stations to charge electric vehicles, although several non-EV vehicles were parked in these up front spots and not charging... read more

A dreadful experience. I made a reservation for Sunday, April 26th, for an outdoor table. When I arrived, I was told that a wedding was taking place and that they didn't have any tables available outside. I told them that, in that case, I would leave; in response, they hastily set up a tiny table right in the middle of the walkway where people pass by. It was very humiliating. That is why we left. Furthermore, the venue was noisy and unpleasant, and the manager was extremely rude. An hour later, they called to offer me an outdoor table, but I was already at Graziano's in Coral Gables--a place where they actually treat their customers with respect. Juan Blanco read more

This place is absolutely gorgeous I fell in love with it and wants to go back but.... It's very ridiculous I had 1 riverside with Hugo no price on the menu and 1 wagyu bolognese price was $34 and my bill was $88 my mistake was not questioning it or taking a receipt because we were rushing to leave. I went to Elia for lunch on Friday for the first time and thought the space was beautiful, especially the outdoor terrace (although it was too cold to sit outside). When we sat down we were immediately served complimentary bread. I didn't get to try it, but the foccacia looked great. Their list of wines by the glass also had some solid options, which isn't always the case in Miami. I had the rustic salad with grilled salmon. I liked the salad, although the salmon was just okay. They serve it with the skin on, but it wasn't crispy. I didn't love the sogginess of it. My companions had the chicken paillard and the chicken milanese -- they both enjoyed their meals. The service was solid and overall it was a pleasant lunch experience. I'd go back! read more

honestly don't even know where to begin with Elia Italian Restaurant. My experience with this establishment and, specifically, its management was absolutely appalling. A restaurant can have beautiful decor, expensive dishes, and a supposedly upscale atmosphere, but none of that means anything when the people running the place treat their employees like they are completely disposable. The management is by far the worst part of this restaurant. Claudia's behavior toward employees is rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. There is a way to manage people, and then there is what I experienced here. Employees deserve basic dignity, communication, and respect. Instead, the environment felt hostile, dismissive, and unnecessarily degrading. And let's talk about accountability because there seems to be none. I also have to say: save yourself the money on the craft macaroni. There are far better places to spend your money in Miami, where you can actually enjoy your meal without supporting a workplace culture that left such a terrible impression. wouldn't recommend this restaurant to friends, family, or anyone who asks me where to eat. There are countless restaurants in Miami that deserve your money more. One star, and honestly, that feels generous. For example, I was shocked to learn that products being presented as premium ingredients were coming from ordinary local sources. The truffle product I saw was from Publix, rather than being sourced from Italy as the restaurant's presentation might lead a customer to assume. The tomatoes I saw were from Homestead, Florida, not Italy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using Florida-grown tomatoes or sourcing ingredients locally. The problem is the impression being created for customers while charging premium prices. If an ingredient isn't Italian, don't make customers believe they're paying for an authentic Italian product. read more

The water views here made for a superb afternoon lunch on the patio. Everything we had was delicious, light and flavorful with clearly fresh ingredients. Stick with wine or your own custom drink as the cocktails on the menu tasted like juice. The asparagus on the branzino looked lack luster but was cooked PERFECTLY I was impressed. Well seasoned and balanced with the capers and sauce. I recommend the meatballs as it was a bit filling but you really only need 1 - I think it's a good shareable app. They took away our carpaccio before we could finish lol kind of annoying but it was also very well balanced with the fresh salad on top. I'd return! read more

My expectations were high, but sadly, I was very underwhelmed. The service was okay--not great. Don't be misled by the pictures of the food; it didn't taste as good as it looked. The Caprese was the only dish I genuinely enjoyed. The steak? Cold. The mashed potatoes? Tasted like boxed mashed potatoes. The veggies? Cold to the touch--almost as if they had only been defrosted. The octopus? Super chewy, more than you would expect. The ambiance, the look, the décor--all beautiful. But the food? Not great. I don't want to completely bash this place, but I was very disappointed. By all means, give it a try--but for the money I spent, I'd rather go to Sunny's. read more

You know in the movies when they show snooty hostesses at high end restaurants giving the characters an attitude and a hard time simply for asking for a table? Well, if that is what you are looking for, look no further! I was even on the receiving end of the eye roll. I, of course did not stay to eat, so this review does not include thoughts on the food. I passed by on Saturday 1/10 at around 1130. I was looking for a brunch spot for the next day and asked if they have a Sunday brunch. "Of course we do" & she showed me the menu. "Ok. Thank you. I see you have indoor and outdoor seating, a bar....by any chance do you have TVs at the bar?" "We are NOT a sports bar. (Insert eye roll here) If you want something like that, you can go to Lime next door". "Well, there are plenty of nice restaurants that are not sports bars that have TVs like Hillstones or Bayshore Club...." "We are NOT that type of place. That's not our vibe here" At this point, I took a pic of the brunch menu and left. There is no shortage of waterfront dining in miami and definitely no shortage in vibey, nice restaurants, but If you're looking for a spot in a mall in Allapattah next to a 5° Below and Burlington Coat Factory where you can be treated poorly by the hostess, you've found your spot! read more

Came here for a work Happy Hour. I wanted to love this place because it's so close to work and the location and view in the restaurant is amazing, but the service was lacking. First the positives... the location was the best part! Easy parking and beautiful river view. The food was very tasty and the happy hour selection had a good variety! Now for the not so great... the service. While the waitress was super nice , the service was slow. It wasn't just her, even the bussers were slow. They would bring one thing and then disappear. I asked for water at least 3 times. We didn't get water until practically the end of the meal and the drinks did not come out in the order we placed them. It was not so busy. In fact we went early to beat the crowd but all wait staff moved at a snail's pace and did not seem communicate with others. We were in a big group so we laughed it all off but had I been in a time crunch or something , I would not have been happy. All in all, I think the location and food quality were good enough that I will definitely be back but service needs some work. read more

Just had lunch. None of the side options listed on the menu were available. Is it a Monday thing? How hard is to produce mashed potatoes or glazed carrots? I was offered instead extremely salted fries. Asked the waiter if the size of the chicken parm was small and if it came accompanied of anything.. I was told the chicken was small and it comes by itself! Wrong! The chicken was a very generous portion and it came with a nice rocket salad (chicken was good by the way). While ordering a Greek Salad was incorrectly placed on my table, we did not order such a thing. At the end the waiter asked how was the food? Well apart of not having any side orders available and over salting the fries, I guess it was ok? The place was empty and it was 12. 00 noon, It was disappointing! read more

I had a very disappointing experience here, not because of the food or basic service, but because of how we were handled at the end of our visit. Up until that point, the service seemed fine, we were checked on and were enjoying ourselves. We were in the middle of our drinks and conversation and were about to order another round when, without asking or giving us any indication, our server placed the check directly on the table and told us to pay. There was no question, no offer for additional menu items and no explanation. The server did not step away, so we paid on the spot. Shortly after, a manager came over and asked us to leave the table because they had reservations waiting. I understand the need to manage reservations--that part is reasonable. What is not acceptable is spending roughly $400 and being effectively cut off and pushed out without being given the option to continue ordering or even finish the experience properly. I made the manager aware of how his staff handled the situation, but the damage was already done. Being rushed out like that leaves a very bad impression, especially at a restaurant in this price range. They didn't even offer to accommodate us at another table. For a place that positions itself as an upscale dining experience, this felt unprofessional and transactional. Unfortunately, I won't be returning if this is how guests are treated. read more

I would dine here at Elia again. It's a beautiful place with indoor and outdoor seating, with the backdrop of boats sailing by on the river. Loved this place. The food was amazing. Our server John was very attentive. Can't wait to come back for brunch.

Came here for lunch because I heard it had a great outdoor patio and views... safe to say I was not the least bit disappointed! The inside and outside decor is stunning and provides a perfect setting for pictures. They also have a weekday special which offers 3 courses for $25. You get an Antipasta, Salad, and a meal. The drinks were delicious; my favorite was the Lychee Martini. The Caesar salad had a different spin to it which left me amazed. The Greek Salad was okay but I wouldn't order again and would stick with the Caesar. Spicy Rigatoni was also great with a little kick. Service was friendly and the food all came out so quick. We booked this place for Sunday brunch (2/15/26) and arrived on time for our reservation. When we checked in, the host informed us that our table was not ready yet. After waiting about 20 minutes past our reservation time, we returned to the host stand to ask for an update and were told the delay would be approximately another 45 minutes. At that point, it was clear that waiting nearly an hour for a reserved table was not reasonable, especially in an area with many brunch options nearby. We decided to leave and found another restaurant close by where we had brunch instead. About an hour and a half later we received a text message saying that our table was finally ready, which honestly made us laugh. We never received any explanation or apology for what was happening. I completely understand that unexpected situations can occur in restaurants, especially during busy hours. However, clear communication with guests about what is happening and realistic expectations about wait times are essential for good customer service. I would consider giving this place another try in the future, but I will probably wait some time until they improve how they provide quality service and ensure better customer satisfaction. read more

Typical "fancy" miami place, they spent more money on their cheap decor than they do in their food. On that note, the pasta we ordered felt plastic, the kind that would give Tony Soprano a heart attack for sure. The best part was the service, the cross eyed jerk assigned to our table needs better prescription glasses and some hearing aids because I had to repeat our order about 3 times before Mr. Fried curls understood the message; to add insult to injury he kept leering and looking at my husband like a weirdo and while he took the order he rarely acknowledged me even I was the one paying because mind you it was my husband's birthday and I wanted to do something special, but thanks to Sir. Coinslot smile it got ruined, because he made my husband uncomfortable and that was the cherry on top. Save up your money go elsewhere. read more
