Great made to order meals, as well as prepackaged salads and more to go. Large storefront with a deli, hot soups, salads, hamburgers and desserts all available here. Ordered the tomato orange soup mixed with Mama Leone's soup, Hamburger with garlic fries, Fruit yogurt parfait with granola and drinks. Ample tables and chairs available. Restrooms located indoors. Free parking just outside the entrance Handicapped ramp and access into the establishment. They sell treats, cookies, wine and more here. Service is fast and pleasant. Some ambient noise due to patrons and kitchen. Food: 4/5 stars Service: 4.5/ 5 stars Ambiance: 4/5 stars

I've been to many Elephants around the PDX area, and while all have good quality food, this location is especially nice! Beautiful layout and lighting, a covered patio with heating, and a great flow for all the goodies they have. Clean restrooms too. Everyone that served us was friendly, and allowed my family and me as many samples as we needed to make our decision. I ended up getting the chicken pot pie over a homemade biscuit. So warm and yummy. It felt like Christmas in a bowl!

    Good, but not served hot.

5 stars for the design and selection of gifts. At the same time, it was so confusing where to order and where to pay. Then we had to double-back to find the drinks that were clear across the space and leave our food on a plate, on the counter by other customers waiting. Completely weird set up. We ordered from the glass case and the area where they prepared the food. The chicken enchilada, from the glass case, was lukewarm. It would have been good had it been served hot. The food prepared for us was really good and looked great.

Elephants is like stopping by at that loved one who's always experimenting in the kitchen and has a cozy place. :) There is a rotating array of items - both cold and warm - from sandwiches, salads, soups and meats like salmon. Unexpectedly, this is a great place to pick up a memento or small gift - e.g. cute chocolates from across the Atlantic! Granted, just as some experiments are learning opportunities, there is room for growth here. For starters, I'd really, *really* appreciate a larger offering of gluten or vegan friendly options. Yes, there are limited options with both in isolation, but how about in combo, please? I was dismayed that the only salad option in late August (pre-packaged, so great for grab n' go) was a medley of baby spring mix, pepitas and fennel, flavored with some dried cranberries, along with a vegan dressing. At the price point, how about a meatless alternative thrown on top? The salad was fresh, for sure, but so much potential was left behind in the kitchen. Ditto to the chickpeas salad offering: The mango chutney sounds like a great addition, but it's made with corn syrup???? This discovery was a little let down because my hope was that quality of ingredients over quantity. Like, there is a gluten free bun/vegan black bean burger option (yay!), but sourcing some local gluten free bread to pair with sandwiches would be lovely. I hope the Elephants team takes this feedback with open ears, because I truly, truly, appreciated the friendliness of the team working here. Everyone was so friendly and willing to accommodate dietary needs and made us feel welcome. Such kind people, willing to go above and beyond. (Thank you for tossing my salad for me, even though it was in a plastic container!) Finally, while the inside seating area is a little cramped, I honestly prefer the ample outdoor seating area: Covered (and non covered options), heating lamps for cooler weather, and a water station conveniently outside. This is a wonderful place to catch up. The ambiance and friendliness is exceptional; the food, a work in progress. I'll definitely be back, and I hope there's more inclusivity so everyone feels like they can have a wonderful meal!

I came in looking for a bit of a comfort meal, as a result I ended up with a classic combo of tomato soup and a grilled cheese. The soup was so good, it was nice and bright and good flavor. The grilled cheese was nothing special as I find most grilled cheeses are pretty standard. Together they were lovely for the cold and quite filling. I will say if you are a person that needs more to feel full, maybe consider getting a bit larger size as I hot a half pint. I did also take my order to go so the grilled cheese might have been better in restaurant. The servers were friendly and quick. It is also a deli style restaurant so theres quite a few options.

I came here with a group of four at 12:30 PM on a Thursday afternoon. The indoors seating area was already fully packed but there were some tables outside that were still available. You order at any of the register and they can bring it to your table. Everyone at the counter and register was friendly, they also allow you to try samples of any of the soups. I ordered the ELEPHANT CURE soup which was very tasty and really warmed the body. Additionally, I had the FISH TACO. The fish was not fried unfortunately and was a little bit dry but the combination of the veggies and salsa was nice and refreshing. All in all, a nice lunch spot if you're ever in the area.

Stopped by for lunch, browsed the cooler, for grab and go (Lots of great options, salads, sandwiches, desserts) but decided to stay and eat inside. There are a few tables inside, more seating outside under a covered area. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Overall the food was good. The sandwiches had soft, crisp bread which was yummy. We had the Italian and roasted vegetable sandwiches. Both were tasty , however, it felt like they were rationing on the filling. For the price, I would have expected a little more filling in my veggie sandwich, one thin layer of roasted veggies wasn't enough. Had the Elephant Cure Soup and the Mama Leone's soup. That's where they shine. Both soups were delicious with great flavor. The cure soup had nice subtle hints of warmth of lemon grass and spices, very tasty. Mama Leone's was favorite of all the dishes we had. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch. Great lunch option to try.

I gave it average because I didn't eat the food (so I can't say). The decorations were nice and festive. Lots of local products, foods, gifts, etc for Christmas presents. However for me personally, as I walked around the different areas, nothing really caught my attention. The desserts looked okay, was hoping for some mint or peppermint sweets but didn't see any. The other foods looked pretty pricey. I don't know if this is a fancier place since this was my first time visiting. But I noticed they had unique foods but the 'deli' area looked a bit too much for me. However, it was a great place to walk around and maybe on a special occasion, I'll treat myself to something here!

We stopped here for lunch yesterday and I see why it was highly recommended! There's not a huge amount of seating but do have an outdoor area that you can bring your dog with you and some indoor seating as well. Has a happy atmosphere and large variety of foods to choose from: you walk around and place your order and they call you when it's ready. They use a lot of local Oregon products so love to see that. They have 3 separate individual bathrooms which is nice. The food was very good: we got sandwiches, breakfast burritos, fries, garlic fries and desserts: pumpkin caramel cupcake, ding dong cake and salted caramel cheesecake. Everyone enjoyed their food. I would definitely drive across town to get that ding dong cake again it was that good!!!!

We have been waiting for a long time for this Elephants to open up in Beaverton. We were sad to see Bargarten go, though. So on a weekend morning I dragged Minion in here for breakfast. I gave him a week's warning so he could prepare to be frustrated because we know how this goes. First, to address access for people with disabilities. Since I had cancer, I deal with pretty debilitating neuropathy and I have a hangtag for my car but the handicapped spots are west of the building not very close to the doors. The front south facing door has a lot of steps and two sets of doors to go through. The west door says "Handicap access only" with no button to open it and it is heavy. Inside that entrance there is a pretty narrow space with people and barstools in the way. I think wheelchairs would have a tough time. Once inside the service process is effing screwy. There are no posted instructions. You cannot order hot frittata from the employee and have them hand you your plate even though she is right there and the food is in front of you in a hot plate thingy. No, you have to go stand in another line and pay and then she gets sent the order and she calls your name. She is literally two feet from the register. If you want a pastry you serve yourself and carry it to the register. I don't know if you are supposed to pay for it first. The plate was too small for the pastry. You order coffee from the discombobulated cashier who gets things wrong and seems lost. A lot of employees are looking lost, and all the customers are lost. There is a sign on a stand that says welcome to Elephants that COULD explain things but it doesn't. Outside seating didn't have a bus tub the first hour so people were coming inside to bus their tables. Inside seating could not see the hidden inside bus tub so after one was taken outside to the patio they carried their dishes out through doors precariously balanced while hordes of customers came through the doors. And lines of people wound around a pretty big space trying to get their orders in with a cashier. Honestly, it was a clusteryouknow what. It made my head hurt and Minion the engineer lost his mind. The food was delicious. It always is. My coffee and fritatta and shared pastry were great. But the paper straws suck. Pun intended. I have been to a lot of delis and self serve places. This structure isn't working. Fix it. At least give people some posted clear instructions. OMG. The reason they stay afloat is the food is good. Get it delivered, catered, send someone with good distress tolerance skills, but I warn you, take a Xanax or have a drink if you are going to go in.

The newest Elephants opened up in Beaverton in the perfect location! Came around 1pm on a Saturday and it was packed! Only waited about 15 minutes for my hot foods so that's pretty good in my opinion considering how busy it was. It has the same Elephants' charm that the other locations have, with cute candies packaged near the check out and lots of friendly staff. There is kind of limited seating but majority of customers take the food to go. Overall, this place is a true Portland classic and I'm so glad they're branching out into other local spots!

Elephants is such a cute local deli, glad they brought one of their shops over here on the west side. I love the layout of this place, especially the French inspired outdoor patio. Although this is a deli, it doubles as a gift shop, since there's some local food and gifts you can get. The food choices were overwhelming but I settled on the Tuna Melt with a cup of Mama Leone's Chicken Soup. I was eager to eat and both the sandwich and soup were so yummy that I forgot to take a picture of my food before I started digging in. That's definitely a sign that I'll come back for more.

We are so lucky to have the most beautiful of all Elephant's grace us with their presence in Beaverton. It is hard to believe this used to be a German Beerhaus. They did such a nice job, keeping with their brand, but adding a little uniqueness to this location. It is large and open with a wine bar, gelato and coffee in the middle. There is limited seating inside, but they kept the large patio from the previous restaurant. which more than doubles the seating capacity.  If you are ever in need of a last minute gift, I would highly recommend stopping here, they have everything from gourmet prepared foods, wine, cheese, and gift items, such as soaps.  Today, we stopped in for breakfast, you never know how pre-made food will turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised with everything, especially the veggie frittata. I don't eat a lot of frittatas, but I will say it is the best I have ever had. It was so moist and light.
