Had a fantastic dinner at Elements Kitchen and Bar and can't recommend it enough. Our server Terra was absolutely excellent -- attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made the whole experience feel welcoming without being overbearing. The brisket mac and cheese is a must-order. It was massive (easily shareable) and packed with flavor -- tender brisket, creamy cheese sauce, and generous portions that more than justify the price. One of the best versions of this dish I've had. The beer selection was another highlight. Great variety with solid local and craft options, so there's something for every palate. Between the standout food, friendly service from Terra, and a great drink lineup, Elements has earned a spot on our regular rotation. If you're in Emmett, don't skip this one. read more

We came here today, a Saturday, because of the excellent reviews. It was 12:30 pm. The place was surprisingly quiet, though by the time we left at 1:15, it had filled up considerably. We came from Star, and Elements is on the left side of 16 just before you enter the town of Emmet. It has a humble curb appeal, with a dirt parking lot. There were no booths when we entered, and so we were shown a table, which was fine, given that it was not crowded. Thus, it was quiet enough to talk and hear each other. We were fortunate to have Shondel as our server, and I'm guessing that she goes by Shonny, because I've seen several five-star reviews that mention how great she is. She is friendly and attentive, and did an excellent job of taking care of us. My wife had the clam chowder and the classic burger, and I had the Club on rye bread. We both had fries. Everything was delicious. My sandwich was huge, and I brought half home. I would have liked the fries to be a little crispier, and would probably ask for that the next time we come. We have eaten there many times and have always enjoyed the food. Good portions quality bacon! is a MUST. Coffee is weak. Not Strong... When the new owners took over the owners came in,thanked us & asked us were there any areas of improvement they could make I was happy so far but I did specify that I PREFER a Stronger cup of Coffee PLEASE !!! It's a big deal for me... Stopped by here for breakfast before our flight. The ambiance was nice and relaxing and cozy but still a lot of room in the space. service was great. Our waitress was super sweet and recommended a dish for us since things i want sold out. We did came in on a monday the restaurant was not too full. I love my dish , Hunter platter. It has a bit of everything, can come with pancakes or toast. The hashbrowns were crispy and everything was delicious. Portion is big and the pricing is pretty good too! read more

Too many times, we become routine in our lives when it comes to go dine. It is hard to go out and try new food since cost has gone up, service seems uninterested in conversation and I just don't feel like being different. Went to Elements for breakfast since my wife had an early appointment we were coming back from and it did not let me down. The waitress was awesome and gave us perfect spot to sit since my wife is on crutches for a broken foot. Had biscuits and gravy with Edd and bacon, pancakes and hash browns. Perfect match for a cool morning along with good coffee. And customers are called by name as they were being served or greeted which means repeat customers. Enjoyed our bite and time with some old tunes being played, 80's haha. Look forward to grabbing dinner there now that weather is starting to change in their outdoor area. read more

Review since new owners: Coffee wasn't great. We ordered sausage lovers which comes with eggs scrambled with sausage pieces, 2 links, 1 patty, hash browns with sausage gravy and pancake or toast. My husband ordered an extra egg (up charge $1) and English muffin (up charge $2 which weren't told about before ordering). I wanted to sub fruit for toast or pancake and the waitress told me they'd still charge for it. So I said no toast or pancake. The sausage patty was horrible. Links were just OK. Gravy was good. You'd think that because I didn't order any toast that she wouldn't have up charged the English muffin for us, but no. I won't be back. Now I know why Tom's Cabin was packed this morning. read more

Finally talked my husband into giving this place another try after getting NEW OWNERS. Oh, what an amazing treat, we were both overly thrilled with the food and service. We consider ourselves as "foodies" as we usually do not eat fried or processed foods. My husband ordered the buttermilk fried chicken on mashed potatoes w/white country gravy-a true comfort food. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful and crispy wrapped in a perfect amount of delicious crispy batter cooked in BEEF TALLOW, not leaving the batter greasy and the healthier option for a fried food. I took a risk and ordered another fried food-the steak fingers with a loaded baked potato and broccoli , and Wow! Again the meat was juicy, tender, medium cooked and crispy batter, cooked in the BEEF TALLOW as well. The broccoli was mouth watering delicious-seasoned to perfection and flash fried in the tallow to add a little crisp to the vegetable. My baked potato was cooked just as it should have been rolled in a thick layer of salt and roasted offering a moist potato. I can say that as an Easter Idaho farm girl whose high school mascot was a Russet Potato, and we know potatoes. I always order all my topping in the side so I can add the perfect ratio of toppings to my potatoes. We both took home leftovers the servings were large, and honestly very well priced for the amount and quality of the food. Cheri, was our very cheerful waitress and gave us great service, friendly, clean and the wine pours were generous. After leaving my husband said to me, "now this is a place we can bring all our kids to eat when they come see us". We won't have to drive over the hill to have a family dinner out. Walked in tonight to be greeted by an unwelcoming hostess/waitress , to then be seated in the back of the restaurant and waited 20 mins for her to come back and ask what we wanted to drink (she didn't even know if they had Coke, she had to ask another waitress there) didn't ask if we wanted an appetizer or if we were ready to order. We saw her seat another family in the meantime never came back with our drinks, we waited another 5mins before walking out . She was miserable and the environment was very unwelcoming. Disappointing. 2nd time in, this time on a Friday. I ordered the chicken fried steak. Massive steak, cooked as I asked. Server asked what two sides I wanted. I asked for tater tots, ... and then, no idea. I asked where the list of sides was. She pointed to it. First on the list is "soup". "Yep, that works, clam chowder." Tots were also a good portion and cooked as ordered. Chowder was ok. I got charged an extra $3 for the soup, so I asked why. She got kind of defensive (many must ask why), went and got a menu to prove to me it's there and showed me at the end of the list a note. Kinda feels like a screwjob. Not real honest. Servers should tell you that's an upcharge and let you honestly decide. I didn't read the list, first up was soup, and I said "yep, that works, clam chowder". I suspect there's lots more I didn't know because I didn't read the whole menu. If this isn't intended to be a bit of legalism, then point it out and let us make an honest decision. read more

My family and I have enjoyed the Elements for quite a while now... The service has always been great and the food has been wonderful every time. Friday 01/30/2026, my family and I went in for dinner, and we were very disappointed with our server, she seemed rushed and impatient with us. Two of us ordered Patty Melts, and sadly there wasn't any cheese or any kind of sauce on our sandwiches, also the bread was not wonderful. My husband and I had dinner at this lovely establishment. Plenty of convenient parking, there is a cement path that leads from parking lot to door if you have a walker or wheelchair. Once inside you're greeted and shown to a table or booth.The atmosphere is upscale but comfortable. The staff is very friendly and polite. Our server was so kind and guided us through the menu. The owner came out to greet the customers at each table which was very nice. However he only spoke to my husband and ignored me which I thought was rude. I ordered the Fish and Chips with Blue Cheese Cold Slaw on the side. The fish was light, non greasy and a decent size. The fries were crispy not greasy. But the blue cheese cold slaw stole the show! Outstanding! Creamy! The blue cheese was a yummy surprise in almost every bite. My husband got a burger steak. He was expecting it to be bigger but it turned out to be the right amount after all. After being seated, it took 30 minutes to be greeted and given water, another 5 minutes to take our order, food came 15 minutes after which was fine. However, the food just wasn't good. After looking around the uncleared tables, everyone who had been there were not clearing their plates which was a sign. All in all, worse $100 (6 of us) spent ever!!! read more

Atmosphere is pretty stale. Service is questionable, depending on which server you get, and pretty much questionable entirely if it gets even slightly busy (doesn't really get busy often since many of the locals have already tried it, got their dose of disappointment, and decided to go elsewhere). The food is a bit of Russian roulette. You can get something one way, one time, and then have it again another time and it'll have different flavors, be cooked differently, and have different portions, with portion size seeming to depend on how much they like you. Most of the food seems to be overcooked or undercooked, with a sprinkle of in between. It's very clear that there's been no actual training of wait or cook staff for quality and consistency. I'd rather spend 9 bucks at Taco Bell to get something that I know will fill me up, taste decent, and cost a third of the price. The owner seems to have a "if you don't like it, you can go somewhere else" mentality, likely acquired from the fact that Emmett is a small town with nowhere else to really go for a sit- down meal unless you want to pay more to go to the Chophouse, or drive a ways out to Tom's Cabin. Just ONE example: Spent 12 bucks on jalapeño cheese curds and got 8 small, undercooked lumps that tasted like they had been undercooked and left out for 2 hours before being served. I only ate one. Still paid, not trying to get free food, but only ate one and gave the rest to the chickens. You'd have to pay ME to eat that. read more

I am an out of towner but saw this place as I rolled in. We are searching for our forever home and had some spots picked out to go see that day. The exterior appeared enticing to me and my wife and we tried it out. I got the clam chowder, it was ok. I also got a salad, premade with a hair. Service was good but there was no one else in there. Element's has a great breakfast! The location is right off the 16 and has a large parking lot. The inside is cute and clean. Definitely can tell they do a good job at up-keeping the place. We had order the chicken fried steak and an omelet. Both were super delicious. They oil they fry it in tastes fresh and was cooked perfectly. We also shared a strawberry waffle which was good but the dough was a little more dense. I personally like mine a little fluffier. But the flavor was nice. Our server was very nice and attentive. Ordered a BLT with a side salad French dressing. Per the menu the BLT should have been on a fluffy croissant instead received on a burnt dried out biscuit, super thin sliced tomato, 1 small piece of lettuce a 6-7 pieces of under-cooked bacon. The waitress replaced the dressing with balsamic dressing w/ out asking me. When I asked I thought the BLT came on a croissant (which is why I ordered is) she said what I got was a croissant as if I don't know what a croissant is. Don't like being lied to... Same thing happed to my husband he questioned why his halibut was pink. He was told some are pink. Again lieing and it was actually salmon he was served not halibut. We used to go every weekend with a large group for breakfast back when it was Cold Mountain. Since they changed their food quality and consistency has drastically declined.
