The espresso martinis are to die for- perfect way to start the morning. They have a hint of hazelnut which takes the drink to the next level (I recommend ordering it with Grey Goose). We then got the bacon wrapped dates which were incredible! Crunchy, sweet, and savory. We then ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were perfectly cooked and the chicken was so well seasoned. You can tell they hand battered the strips and fried them. The chicken was just so good. We also ordered the Southern Benedict. So delicious! The biscuits were perfectly cooked and the sauce over the benefits was so tasty! Highly recommend for brunch! 10/10!

Spoiler alert--It is all that! Our server shared that it is a mainstay on the menu and how it is presented changes with the season. For our visit it was served with a rice salad. TBH, I would have licked the plate if I could. Also, I wish I could have finished every thing and picked at the bone. OMG Amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Great build out, quiet--great place to have good dinner conversation. Service was outstanding. Wine list was solid. My only regret is that I wish I would have gone with a larger party so we could split dishes and try more. I can't wait to go back.

Susina features a European-inspired, three-course dinner menu that changes weekly and blends local, seasonal and organic ingredients. They also have gluten-free and vegan options. Ambiance: Stepping into the intimate, candle-lit dining room at Susina feels like entering a romantic European bistro. The restaurant is in a converted house in the Bench neighborhood and is decorated with charming vintage art. Adding to the vintage charm, each course is served on mismatched vintage dishes. For our first course, we ordered the Beets and Ricotta Salad and the Fettucine Saisiccia. The Beet Salad was a generous portion of red and golden beets with citrus, hazelnuts, mint and ricotta. The fettucine and sausage are both handmade in house and are both delicate and delicious. I ordered the Wagyu Flat Iron steak with au poivre sauce, mashed potatoes and winter vegetables. Each part of my entrée was executed perfectly. The Snake River Farms Wagyu was exactly medium rare and was tender and flavorful. The Joël Robuchon style mashed potatoes were smooth as velvet, light and buttery. My partner ordered the Cassoulet with braised duck leg, house-made bacon lardons, house sausage, Mayocoba beans, celery root and herb oil. The Wagyu was definitely the stand out of the evening. While I prefer duck confit in a cassoulet, to the braised duck preparation that they offered, it was still very good. Finally, we chose the brûléed cheesecake with strawberry sauce for dessert. The caramelized sugar crust on the cheesecake was beyond heavenly. Pro-Tip: Reservations are recommended. Susina's chef, Alex Cardoza, was just nominated as a semifinalist for best chef Mountain Division by James Beard Award for 2026 and they are very popular. I was a little apprehensive, which unfortunately, my apprehension was warranted. We arrived around 5:45pm on a Thursday night and were asked if we could wait for 20 minutes. We sat and waited...and waited...and 2 other couples came in and were offered bar or outside seating instead of waiting (seriously?!?! We weren't given those options). One took the outside seating, the other opted to wait as well. We watched at least 6+ parties leaving, but we continued to wait. After 35 minutes, we were finally seated....and there were several empty booths around us. It took almost 10 minutes before our server arrived, so we had our orders ready. Drinks came about 10 minutes after ordering. Dinner came out at 7:15 pm. We had no idea this experience would be this long. Food looked great, but after one bite into my Cajun chicken club, I was really disappointed. The chicken was stringy-dry (at least my jaw got a workout) and the buns were borderline burnt instead of toasted. All the other ingredients (bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese) were fresh and thankfully, enabled me to eat most of the sandwich. We rarely saw our server and both me and my husband ran out of drinks (we even finished off both waters) before she showed up for a refill. We didn't leave there until almost 8pm. Server was very nice, but the pace was a tad too slow...to the point of being absent. Hubby enjoyed his Tavern burger.

You can't beat happy hour vibes and birthday celebrations in one visit. Talk about a win win! I was that weird customer and got here exactly at 3 when they opened. To be honest with you, I loved that I got to spec out the bar area before everyone showed up. I got to appreciate the beautiful richness of the bar. It's just stunning. The red just makes the vibe sexy, mysterious and romantic. The tables were all beautifully lit with table lamps. I see people just falling in love with each other over a romantic cocktail here. I didn't really check out the dining area but if the bar area is this romantic, I can only imagine the other half of this joint. Cameron took care of us tonight. While I was waiting for the others to show up, I got myself a coke zero and chilled. I did peep out the menu and of course the happy hour menu. I knew we were in for a real treat. After the girls showed up, an old fashioned and a couple glasses of wine were ordered. And of course we got some food started! Oysters, fried caprese and shrimp cocktail. I know this food line up was going to be banger. One by one our food was coming out. Each appetizer was prettier than the plate before it. The shrimp cocktail was elegantly plated. The fried caprese was delicately garnished with herbs, tomatoes and a balsamic glaze. The oysters looked like they were just brought from the ocean fresh. Presentation was on point. I had to pass on the oysters. I don't eat oysters but I also can't have it cause of the new kidney. But from what I heard, the oysters were fantastic. I started off with the fried caprese, so good! The bread crumbs on the outside were savory and crunchy. The mozzarella in the middle was creamy and slightly melted. With the tomatoes, herbs and glaze in each bite...... wow. The ultimate flavor combo! Sweet, salty, cheesey and crunchy. To only have was hard cause I could have polished all 4! The shrimp cocktail was perfectly halved. Sprinkles of capers and microgreens added some earthy tones to the plate. I appreciate that they were sliced in half. It was easier to eat. I was able to cover each slice with some cocktail sauce. There was a nice heat from the horseradish that wasn't overwhelming. Enough to tickle your nose but not make you blackout. The fresh bread did make an appearance while we were eating. Better late than not getting fresh bread at all! The bread was out of the oven warm. I took a nice piece and slapped some butter on it. Fresh bread and butter will always be the best combo. I love the saltiness from the seasonings on top. It was soft, warm and crusty. I could have came here for a huge chunk of warm bread and left happy. That bread was killer. Cameron was great and got my friend, Laura a piece of limoncello cake for her birthday. Laura saved me a chunk of that slice of heaven. I was outside on a phone call when they started working on it. Grateful my friend was kind and shared her cake with me. Woooooooooww. We were making jokes about saying it would be our birthday every week so we can come in for limoncello cake. It was the perfect dessert to end our meal. I'm so happy we got to come in tonight. Food was chef's kiss. Cameron did a marvelous job taking care of us girls. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. And I loved how diverse the crowd was. The vibe was truly one of a kind unique. I look forward to coming back with my husband and having a romantic dinner here. I got the fun, light hearted happy hour experience. My next visit will most definitely be a romantic dinner with my husband kind of visit. I can't wait!

It started with the stuffed mushrooms, which were disappointing. They were basically just stuffed with sausage and lacked any real flavor or balance. My Hugo Spritz arrived with what looked like only two sips in the glass, which was surprising considering the price. Unfortunately, the entrees were even worse. My mom's steak was served cold, and her twice baked potato looked like it had been made the day before and barely reheated. Another steak and potato were exactly the same. We sent both steaks back, and after waiting quite a while, they came back looking like they had simply been microwaved. Instead of fixing the issue, both steaks were now completely overcooked and dry. We had chicken piccata pasta and that was honestly inedible. My chicken Parmesan was just okay, but the broccolini had such a strong chemical taste that I couldn't eat it. For what should have been a special dinner celebrating my mom's 50th birthday, this was incredibly disappointing. Between the poor food quality, long wait to correct obvious issues, and the fact that the "fix" made the steaks even worse, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. We left frustrated and wishing we had chosen somewhere else for such an important celebration.

They call themselves a Supper Club, the decor totally reminds me of photos of fine dining back in 'the day'. Its walls are dark and there's a lot of wood and pictures on the wall. Total vintage vibe, in a good way! We were seated against a wall in a 2-top with comfortable seats. Our waiter was Joe, who was FANTASTIC. Chatty and polite and helpful with any questions we had. I ordered the Filet Mignon and the hubs ordered the Prime Rib. He said his was good but did mention that it'd been a while since he'd had Prime Rib and we forgot how much grissle there was (not the fault of the restaurant, of course). He said his was cooked perfectly. My Filet Mignon was really really good. It was not the best I've ever had (the Gaylord in Chula Vista, CA, still gets that nod), but it *was* delicious and cooked perfectly. Prior to the meal, a pimento cheese and olives and ... (crap? pickles?) Sorry, I forgot to put it in my notes, but they bring a little trio of yummies as kind of an amuse-bouche. The cheese was really good, I have the appetite of a bird so had a bit and left the rest for the hubs (who devoured it). They were out of Cheese Curds - which struck me as odd, because they hail from Wisconsin. It almost seems like you really need to *NEVER* run out of cheese curds, or am I wrong? (shrug, I did not ding them a star for this - the question is rhetorical) I didn't notice until I got home that their cheese curds are listed as 'beer battered'. I do wish I'd noticed that when I was there because I would have liked to have asked Joe how that happens. The whole point of cheese curds is their freshness and that they have that little squeak when you eat them. Okay, okay, I got sidetracked on cheese. The place is adorable, it looks like a great date night place, our dinners were good. We didn't order cocktails, nor did we use the restroom - so I cannot speak to that. If you're looking for a good meal in a comfortable, slightly upscale, place, this is your spot! Thank you for reading my review.

They suggested Baraboo Supper Club, having zero knowledge that there were any nods to Wisconsin here. Baraboo is a town in Wisconsin and this supper club is owned by a restaurant group in Wisconsin. Also, supper clubs are a very Wisconsin thing. So, does this live up to the Wisconsin Style Supper club hype? It does. It's not an exact replica of how we do it here in WI, but it's close enough to be charming. I enjoyed one of their whiskey cocktails, which was finely rendered. For my dinner, I got the salmon entree, which was delicious. It comes with broccoli and fingerling potatoes which made for the perfect meal. The dining room is warm, welcoming, and just beautiful. The service was friendly and accommodating. Get to it!
