Awesome and Safe ! Let me start off by saying as we arrived to the hotel it was beautiful outside and in. I love the greenery they have everywhere. The concierge was very familiar with the area and places to eat. He also helped us with getting a taxi. The room was beautiful and always cleaned when we came back from the days activities. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing as well ! Pool always cleaned and the breakfast was so pretty every morning. Affordable and a cute hotel !!!

I'm absolutely in love with Elements! Upon check Estefania helped to check me in and provided great recommendations on where to eat and what to do. We talked a really long time and she was very helpful even with booking me a tour to Chichen Itza. The hotel is not close to the beach but they provide free bikes, you can catch a cab, or use the walking trail for ~30 minutes to walk to the beach. The rooms are really cute with a safe in each room. The pool and outdoor area is super cute and relaxing. Free breakfast is provided and it was nice. It wasn't a huge selection, but enough to hold you over until your next meal. I remember cereal, fresh fruits, varying fresh squeezed juices daily, eggs, ham, and waffles or pancakes daily. Compared to other reviewers pictures, Elements has been updated tremendously! It's very chic and beautiful now. For additional pictures I'd recommend looking in their website and TripAdvisor. Tulum is such a relaxing beach town and much calmer than Playa or Cancun and Elements is very tranquil offering a break from the city and beach life. Would def come back again.

So this place is good: I won't lie. However, the lack of real sun bathing and a bar are truly what make this place not deserving of more than three stars. Cons: Insufficient sunlight. The sunbathing can only happen between 11am and 2pm or so. We were actually outside during that time span and I moved my chair to follow the sun. No bar. Super fail!! We've been to other properties and both have had bars, and it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the experience. Shower. The half door is totally ineffective. It would work for a larger shower. I literally had to spend my shower time in the corner to prevent wetting up the bathroom floor. Pros: Breakfast. I think the breakfast is pretty decent. No real protein source, other than beans and eggs, but still sufficient. I'm from Texas, and we love meat (particularly beef), but I was fine without it, and so was my husband, who is Jamaican, and hates meals without meat. Beach. Very close to the road that leads to the beaches and "new Tulum". Bikes. Free bikes and plenty of them. This definitely a plus. Overall, the hotel is nice and the service is pretty good. The lack of sun and a bar are a HUGE let down, especially when there is a roof top set up perfectly for it. It's close to the main road, plus there are bikes, so don't let the distance from the "middle of Pueblo" dissuade you.

A brand new boutique hotel finished in December 2016. It's in that middle area not downtown but not on the hotel row either. Therefore the prices are way cheaper for the same quality as the hotel row places. The area it is in is towards the jungle side of town so it's quiet and away from most tourists and locals alike. Front desk is super friendly and so is the overnight security guard. My only qualm maybe that the pipes are so new post construction that they carry mineral content that you need to make sure flushes through when showering. Otherwise not many better price performance values in the area

    Didn't clean properly

This hotel is an entire scam. I booked through booking.com and was asked to pay an additional fee when checking in because "they didn't receive payment". I paid and when going to the rooms they were disgusting and moldy. There were no elevators in a 3 floor hotel. I was told I would have to pay a fee if towels got makeup or dirt on them. I have never heard of that at any hotel. I could not stay in these conditions and left to go to another hotel. Absolutely terrible.

Dirty bed sheets that was placed by the maid when we arrived back to the hotel one of the days.

All in all I would say that this is a great affordable hotel, reason for giving three stars is that we receive dirty bedsheets one day which is a huge CON. We didn't have dirty bedsheets every single day but this one day this was the case and it was very disgusting for us. The concierge is not available 24/7 so they were not able to change it for us when we noticed it at 11pm. I had to request security guard to bring us some extra sheets to put on top just to sleep for the night. It was our last night so we decided to not complain and make a big deal just to avoid any negativity on the last day. The best part about this hotel is that it is affordable and is very beautiful from the inside and out, appears to be very clean but when it comes to the softness of the towels in the bedsheets as well as the cleanliness of the sheets as I indicated, it needs more work on that. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful going out of their way just to make things right for us and I'm sure that if they were available at night they would've remedy this situation as they were very professional and helpful. when other major problem was the tour. We booked a tour with the hotel for (iTours), Itours was very unprofessional; we had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to pick us up from the wrong location that they had indicated in the morning. The tour guide was constantly begging for us to buy things and making rude comments about how Americans are cheap. He was frequently making dirty jokes about sex, is not something you want to hear when you're with your family or kids. When we arrived to the town he kept pressuring us to buy things for the Mayans to help support the local economy, which we all would've loved to do but at the same time we are hard-working people just like Mexicans. Assume that all Americans and Europeans and travelers are full of money is very wrong, I have us work long hours shifts put ourselves through school and we save our money just to come enjoy our vacation and we do love to spend money when we can but to assume that we are being cheap because we don't want to buy some artifacts is not right it's a Mexican governments job to provide facilities and education and help for the Mayan communities. the food on the tour was very bad, the whole set up was very unprofessional and the cenote set up was rather disorganized. The tour guide took our photo without asking us and put our photos on a bottle of alcohol and demanded that we all buy it, on the tour. It was rather offensive because we never just for this alcohol and you cannot just put someone's photo on a bottle of alcohol there's many people in the world who don't drink because of religious reasons and this was not appropriate. I understand it was something that he wanted to do to generate some income for himself or for the Mayan communities which is great, he could've asked us first before putting our photo on the alcohol bottles. Nevertheless we did not pay for it and a lot of other people on the bus did not pay for it and they returned it to him so I'm sure that he remove those photos from the bottle I hope. Instead if he would have just printed our photos and put them in a small paper or cardboard frame, all would've probably bought it. The end of the tour, Enter a guide began a huge speech about how giving him a tip is it recommended because tips are too small and that we need to give him a gratitude, which basically means that he wanted a lot more money. He basically said that 100 pesos is nothing for a tour guide to survive and gave the whole speech again how Americans are cheap and how they provided such a great service for us and this and that they took care of us and watched over us as we slept on the bus; It was a very nasty type of guilt trip. professional people don't beg for tips, we were going to give him a tip anyways but when he said that 100 pesos is too small; then we don't know what type of tip he's expecting and how much money he's expecting because it seem that he was rather offended with taking any tips if it wasn't more money. Also we paid $75 each for this trip. We don't spend $75 just like it's nothing, as hard-working Americans we only go for vacation a few times a year and we don't need to hear negativity and guilt trips. I'm not sure if this information will ever get back to the tour guide but this is not the way to treat tourists. Not all Americans are rich just as much as not all Mexicans are poor. If you don't want stereotypes about your country then please don't create stereotypes about ours.

We ate breakfast basically every morning at the hotel and we enjoyed everything from the pancakes, granola, oat, avocado toast, teas, and coffees. For lunch and dinner we ate at Mezzanine, casa Maria, and also went outside of the national park down by the hotel zone. The massage was great, we booked ahead of time for the couples massage and really liked it. Overall, we had an amazing experience at Mi Amor, we felt safe and enjoyed our time there.

We were given the information about the property and all the amenities as well as given a tour and then shown to our room, typically when you first arrive, they perform a greeting cleanse to, clear energy, set your vibe and give you a little taste of the beautiful Mayan cultural traditions. Unfortunately, when we were shown over to the location where they perform the energy cleanse no one was there so they said we'd have to come back the next day which never ended up happening. Finally, moments before we were checking out we asked if it was possible just to see what the experience was like before we left. That part was actually really good, especially after our experience staying here for six days, which will make sense by the end of this review. When we checked in, it was already dark out but the design and lighting as well as the bio inspired architecture which fuses art in nature was pretty cool to see. They only give you one key for your room for some odd reason, it was a little inconvenient because it meant that me and my wife had to be together at all moments and couldn't explore or do services separately without the hassle of having to meet up to share the key, or the other option is to go walk all the way to the front desk, which, although the walk is beautiful, the design of the floor is made out of a bunch of branches for the walkway and is very difficult to navigate, especially at night so walking turned out to be more of a hassle, but that's just me being nit-picky. The other option is you can reach out to your concierge and then they can send someone which means you're waiting sometimes 5 to 10 minutes, again very small minor inconveniences but nonetheless adds up when staying there for six days. It definitely has an effect on the overall appeal and serenity that one would expect from a place like this. The room itself had two very small shelf like closets definitely not enough hangers or space to accommodate both of our very limited wardrobe that we brought. I had to put 2 to 3 shirts on one hanger and hang the pants inside and that's literally all I brought other than T-shirts and socks and underwear and one pair of nice shoes I literally packed very minimal and still didn't have enough space... again very small inconvenience but nonetheless 20 different small inconveniences all fused together to make one kind of annoying overall experience. Now I can say that I have mixed feelings about the minimal electricity and necessity to use tea candles for our lighting, but I respect the sustainability aspect of it and it did make very nice environment and mood. The only downside is they tell you that you don't blow the candles out and you can leave them on overnight and we had one explode right next to our heads and over all of our bathroom essentials. The shower is right in the middle there's no protection for water so it gets all over the floor, I nearly slipped a few times because of it. Probably sounds nit picky, but these are things I believe make it or break it for places like this. We experienced some type of mishap daily. We ordered hot water and they brought a dirty used coffee pot. They left the dirty brush in the toilet area. Didn't pick it up until the following day. Asked us if we could place it outside the door. Took forever to bring blankets. They got maybe 8/10 requests wrong and charged us for some and denied that, so wasn't able to get a refund. wasn't much, but principally speaking it's horrible feeling in the midst of many things going wrong. Atmosphere - 90% (small weird sewage smell almost everywhere except the room) Vibe - 80% Cost - 75% should be more enjoyable for the price imo... i dont mind paying extra for experience when its on point Food - 60% (first meal, room-service, was incredible {and cost matched that} every other meal on property lacked in all ways except the sushi which we enjoyed as a snack before going to dinner off site. Really over priced in general but the experience and design makes it palatable. Service - 2 stars overall (except for our concierge who had to deal with her associates lack of professionalism and incredible number of mistakes made each day). Location/architecture,view - 100 (If it wasn't for the sound of the ocean slapping the rocks below our balcony and the sound of the waves soothing us at night, waking up to the most amazing view from bed facing the ocean and the sunrise and also the sunsets each night with a great breeze and insane temperatures than this trip would probably have been all bad. My suggestion. Book 1-2 nights for the location and view then find a better spot elsewhere.

There are no concierge reliably onsite. You are given a WhatsApp number to text and sometimes they can be very slow to respond. First issue I ran into was the concierge's lack of punctuality and poor communication regarding bike rentals. She promised a bike at 8am but 15 mins before the agreed upon time texted me that she could not follow through. I agreed to wait until 10 but was delayed a second time until 11. The second delay was not even communicated to me without my prompting. See chat screenshots. The main issue was my balcony was flooded by careless guests upstairs who left their outdoor tub running (see pic). I was splashed and had to change. My phone also got wet and I could not charge it for the rest of the night until it dried. I could have had other valuables such as electronics out that could have been irreparably damaged and I could not use either loungers, which were soaking wet for the rest of the day/night. The water ran for 10 mins before hotel staff could stop it. No one came to clean my balcony. However, most disappointing was the concierge's refusal to take accountability for the incident (again, see screenshots). I would have been happy with a complementary margarita but instead was completely dismissed. I asked to speak to a manager on site and was told there were none. I asked for an email address or phone number and was given only the reservation email address. I detailed my experience in an email and waited 2 weeks before righting this review. No one replied. It is my experience that guests' conduct at the hotel is within the control and part of the hotel's responsibility and that top tier hospitality establishments, which I had assumed Azulik to be, value customer satisfaction and have accountability. I was sadly wrong.
