Nut allergy warning: Don't trust something even if the written ingredients don't have nuts, because quite a lot of dishes use almond milk, almond liqueur, or macha sauce with peanuts. I did have two severe reactions while here purely due to cross contamination, so I would overall avoid anything Mexican (due to the peanut macha sauce) or grilled unless it's specially prepped (because of cross with marinades). The labeling is inconsistent across restaurants and many dishes that you wouldn't expect have do have nuts (for example, the chocolate cake uses almond milk). I would the Preferred Club is worth the extra cost if you drink the higher-end lounge liquor or really like Greek food for the Santorini reservation. Before going: Look for flight deals; book a private shuttle (we used USA Transfers for $205 round trip for two); men, there is a dress code at some restaurants. BRING YOUR OWN MEDS AND SUNSCREEN. It is very pricey on site. The staff: Incredibly attentive. Moments after a fork clinked on the ground, someone was there to pick it up and replace it. Our concierge (shout-out to Francisco and Luis in Building 6) greeted me by name after only one meeting. Food / Daily Activity Review (I'm at Yelp character limit..oops.) Day 1 Dinner: We got to Bordeaux around 7:30PM and were cited a 35 minute wait for 2. Despite no buzzer, they were true to the estimate. My mom had the escargot and surf and turf, I had the beef tartare and "catch of the day" (grouper), and we both had lobster bisque and creme brulee. I'd say the standout here was the surf and turf, especially the lobster. Saturday morning: Preferred Club a la carte meal at Seaside. Huge fan of their freshly pressed green juice and I woke up with coffee and Bailey's. Mom had the eggs Benedict and I had the light omelette with a side of bacon and avocado. We strolled over to Market Cafe to review the buffet after this, and.. honestly, you can basically get everything you want at the buffet and more. Five different kinds of sashimi for breakfast, even more fruits, tamales, etc. In the afternoon, there was a "fish market" popup outside Oceana that we did. All kinds of seafood - scallops, shrimp, white fish, octopus, etc. Two downsides: (1) It was REALLY salty and (2) Despite us asking, something here was cross contaminated with nuts and I had a pretty rough reaction that put me out of service for most of the afternoon until dinner. On the other hand, I know how much Benedryl costs at the on-site pharmacy now ($21 a bottle.. definitely don't forget your own like I did.). Dinner: I was still feeling really out of it but we went to Portofino for dinner. Well, we tried. Arrived at 8PM and were cited with a one hour wait. So we went back to Bordeaux which somehow only had a 15 minute wait. I found out that the chocolate cake is vegetarian but is made with almond milk and the tiramisu at Portofino has almond liqueur. Duck and fois gras had great texture. Sunday - Market Cafe for breakfast and then back for lunch again. Quite a variety of stations like a Vegas style buffet - Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Hibachi. Here was where I had my second allergic reaction despite having a walk around with the host and pointing out what was safe. The mushrooms at the Mexican restaurant had some kind of sauce they identified as a red wine reduction but I'm pretty sure had to be cross contaminated because I reacted nearly immediately to it. Since I already paid for the Benedryl, slammed some meds and waited it out again. Dinner - 7PM reservation for Santorini Appetizer - we both got the Okeanos appetizer. Very buttery, but tasty seafood all around and one of the only places to get mussels and crab here. A dancer came by after our appetizers (lucky timing?) which was some cool dinner entertainment. We both had the lamb shank (very tender, fatty, and one of the top dishes of the trip), and split the prawns and branzino. They brought out banana ice cream and orange marscapone for a nut-free birthday dessert, which were solid. We checked out of our room at 11:30. They take your luggage to the front lobby but you can stay until your transfer van arrives, so my mom got a burger for lunch (I skipped, too traumatized.) Overall, TL;DR: -Decent hard product, some signs of age and wear and tear, mosquitoes were a problem if you're in the forest hammocks, unlucky sargassum season 7/10 -Great soft product unless you've got something outside of their script 8/10 (really me 6/10 my mom 9/10). Don't trust the estimates for dinner waits if you want to go somewhere specific; just send someone over to get in line 30 mins early if it's a busy weekend. -Truly all inclusive, never wanting for food or drink. The food or drink is decent to good (If these were real restaurants, I would not go out of my way to return, but they're better than cruise ships I've remembered and the buffet was one of the best I've been to despite the allergic reactions)

I just got back from spending a week here for my honeymoon with my husband. We had a wonderful time and the workers here went above and beyond to make it really special for us! We booked through Costco, and did lots of research, until we decided on our destination and place. We wanted to try all inclusive, and it was definitely worth it for a special occasion. If you're contemplating staying here, here is a list of my honest pros and cons. *Pros* - This resort is NOT a party resort. Think relaxation and more of a spa vibe. If you like more boring and romantic (which is what we wanted) this is the place. - Lots of pools and places to lounge. We personally avoided the big pool and opted for one closer to our room, which played relaxation music, and had hardly any people. - We don't drink alcohol, but they had lots of mocktail options which made it worth it! - The concierge/workers go above and beyond to make you happy. This is customer service at its best, and if you don't mind being waited on all the time, this is your place. They are quick and happy to serve. -Everyone here speaks fluent English :) -The best restaurants here are the Japanese and Greek one. Shoutout to Antonio at the Greek restaurant for being such a happy and cheerful server -You're treated like royalty here ^^ -The rooms are nice and large, though I highly recommend upgrading to the preferred rooms, as they have a private section of the beach, and entry to the Greek and Oceania restaurant -Lots of food options to keep you happy throughout the day, along with 24 hour room service, free of charge -there's also a good amount of excursions you can add onto the trip. I highly recommend the "cenotes" one. Def the highlight of our trip! *Cons* -We made it clear that we don't drink, and the employees kept pushing alcohol on us. I didn't enjoy this, esp when workers would flat out ask why we don't drink, which is just plain rude. It took my husband complaining to management for them to finally make a note and to leave us alone in that regard. It was smooth sailing after that. -There is a lack of entertainment. The biggest disappointment was the fire/dance show. The dancers did the show in the water, so you could only see the top half of their bodies. We couldn't see anything from the 2nd row and a lot of us walked out. Please fix this! :( -There is a push to purchase timeshares right when you arrive. They hand you glasses of Champaign and there is a sneaky tactic to get you to agree to a free massage or dinner on the beach. Unless you want to buy a timeshare, don't buy into it. I wasn't aware what was happening but my husband picked up on it, and said we weren't interested. Thankfully they didn't push after that, though the guy pitching it to us "Hans" got a little weird to us afterwards. No biggie as it wasn't brought up to us again. - The beach is full of seaweed and not the most pleasant to swim in. The workers do their best to remove it, but it's still pretty prevalent in the water. -Hack tip! The convenient store is super expensive aka $40 for sunblock. I highly recommend going across the street of the resort to the gas station "Go Mart." They have everything and the resort will even drive you to the front of the gate, to exit and come back! -The spa at this resort is crazy expensive. $300 each for a massage. If you're gutsy, step out of the resort and get one in one of the nearby cities for a fraction of the cost. Most people speak English in the surrounding areas. -Note that the turtle tour through the resort is for good ocean swimmers only. Note that I lap swim 4 days a week, and couldn't handle the ocean. They also didn't fit the life jackets well to us, and mine was falling off in the ocean. There were also lots of rules with how to hold your body in the water. Both my husband and I struggled, along with getting sick and thankfully we were helped back onto shore. They also take you pretty far into the ocean. I don't recommend this excursion unless you are used to swimming in ocean water. Not a fault to the guides, but wet suits should be provided, so one can have better traction in the water. The guides were great though! Unrelated but-- -A big tip. The taxis are crazy expensive and rip off tourists. We did public transportation, and went to Tulum, Playa del Carmen etc for $3 each way. Though, someone in your group will have to be fluent in Spanish, otherwise it will be hard to navigate. They will pick you up right in front of the resort :) Overall my cons are pretty nit-picky. We LOVED our stay here and will for sure come back, for an anniversary or something in the future!

Our experience at Secrets Akumal was absolutely amazing. We've heard of some resorts not having great food or drinks, or hounding guests for extra money for certain things. At Secrets it was the complete opposite. The food and drinks were soooo good. We were shooting a wedding (videography team) and aren't drinking alcohol, so we got all virgin drinks which were fantastic. The atmosphere around the entire resort was so gorgeous and relaxing. We were constantly greeted by kind concierges and all staff who were attentive to our needs and were so kind and gentle. We would 100% come back to this resort to experience the beautiful vibe and experience. The airport was the only negative part of the experience, but had nothing to do with the resort. I would recommend this resort for any brides and grooms either looking to get married or for a beautiful honeymoon spot. Haven't tried many other resorts (especially in mexico), but highly highly recommend this one!

From the minute we walked into the resort I KNEW we chose the right one. The service was amazing. We were given a tour of our suite and introduced to the people who would help us during our stay. The food was amazing and the coffee was strong. My favorite place to dine at was the seafood spot called Oceana and of course Coco Cafe. The amenities and non-alcoholic drinks were DEVINE! i could float in the pool drinking strawberry margaritas all day. It was such a beautiful time and i'd def will be back.

Okay, where do I even start! The location is perfect. The weather perfect! The food was delicious. The staff was the best I have ever experienced on vacation. The rooms were big and beautiful. Jacuzzi outside on the patio was super fun! The activities and the entertainment crew were FANTASTIC!! Jonas, Liz, Oscar, Max, Arantxa, Dani, Alan, Lxchel, Isabella, and Alejandro, thank you all for your hard work and all the fun activities. The Spa crew, Jesus, Reyna, Melissa, and Louisa, I have never felt so relaxed in my LIFE! Perfect, just perfect!!!! And my ULTIMATE FAVORITE is Gerardo, he was our conciergefor the week!!!! BRAVO GERARDO BRAVO! Gerardo, from the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a special one. He made sure to check in with us everyday and made sure we were comfortable. I really am going to miss him. He will always have a special place in my heart and my memories of this special place. Thank you staff and crew for an Amazing vacation.

At Secrets they really know what it means to be a quality resort. While I didn't make it to every restaurant, every meal I had at each restaurant was good and the service was top tier. The room service was also very efficient as well. The various entertainment throughout the day and on each day was enjoyable as well. There was things such as their version of "The Voice", a live band, and a guacamole making class. I also had the opportunity to enjoy the spa by getting a massage. The massage was very nice, I almost very asleep! For all my nursing/pumping mamas, they will freeze your milk for you! Just be sure to have it properly labeled etc. The rooms are very nice and clean as you would expect. Overall a great experience, I would certainly come back.

Amazing resort! They have gluten free pizza cooked in a wood oven, close to the beach. The resort is clean with tons of shade. There is a lot of trees and greenery to keep you covered. The beach is clean and no seaweed like up the road in Playa. I wood never go back to any resort near Cancun or Playa after coming here. The beach and water are clean.

We really enjoyed our stay in Secrets Akumal. The resort is recently built so everything is relatively new. The staff was really nice, especially the entertainment guys- Jorge and Louis Enrique, server - Ayram and bartender- Dmitrio. Himitsu restaurant is a must visit. Me and my husband thought that it would be great for the Desires dance club to list what genre of music would be playing tonight. Also, it would be great to have fresh juices served not only in breakfast but also at lunch at the Market cafe. Importantly, we haven't seen such an amazing service for a long time! We definitely recommend this resort!

Returned for our annual mother daughter trip and once again had a perfect stay. Room 4205 was incredible and we called it our frozen tundra and it felt so good after a hot day in the sun in such an incredibly beautiful resort. I am going to try and review some folks and activities that I didn't have enough room for in my trip advisor review. If you love a jungle feel with the most beautiful foliage and incredible wildlife, you will adore this place as we do. A new thing was seeing two raccoons in the rafters over the restaurant staring down at us. So cute but they let out a scream that makes you think someone is being murdered! Lol, quite entertaining. Beltran and Francisco took care of us by the activities pool and our drinks never went dry. Can't get enough of the pizza oven and the one thing I forgot was the FISH FRY day! Oh my word, the fried fish and biggest fried shrimp taco day was heaven on a plate. They also had octopus and marlin tacos. I am telling you that could be my last meal on earth. Thank goodness my husband and I are returning in August! Oscar, Ivan the Chef and Luis Carrillo and Lucia Antonia from activities ran that fish fry and when I win the lottery, they are coming to my house! Javier took care of us at breakfast at Market Cafe and had my mimosa ready every day. Who ever invented beef tinga is a genius. I just think it should be a daily dish like the black refried beans! Like a warm and spicy Mexican beef stew. I guess you can see how much we enjoy this resort. I call it adult summer camp and love every activity they have . Tiny but mighty Diana will put you thru some exercise and Rene will keep you laughing. We so enjoyed Dania and Tony while snorkeling with the sea turtles. Service is impeccable!

Here is our long but comprehensive review! Happy to answer questions in the comments. We stayed Tuesday to Tuesday, June 18-25. We booked through our travel agent a preferred Jr Swim-out suite and used Southwest non-stop both ways with private transfer to and from the resort. We arrived at the resort around 6:00 pm. Preferred check in was a breeze and they had drinks and food for us in the preferred club while check in was completed. After check in we saw our room in building 6, where we met on concierge, Sergio. Sergio was amazing, you could literally ask Sergio for anything and he would get it. He even got us an item my wife desperately needed one evening after 06:00 pm, when he should have been off. The rest of the night we went and walked the resort, came back to the room and ordered room service for dinner since we were both exhausted from traveling. We had no problems getting chairs by the pool and did not notice the "chair game". Everyday we were up around 8, went to breakfast, went back to the room to change, then headed to the pool always around 09:30-10:00 am there were many chairs available. We always chose to set up at the main pool (the one closest to the beach) with the swim-up bar. Sharon was our server. I don't think our stay would have been the same without her. She just doesn't serve the food and drinks she brightens the day and starts the party. We called her shot Sharon. On Wednesday at Oceana they have a free tuna carving demonstration. When it's over you get to taste all the different ways tuna can be prepared. The grilled tuna is amazing! Overall the food was excellent! I will break up my thoughts into breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast: We were preferred but we never did the preferred breakfast at Seaside Grill. We loved the variety of the buffet. They had a variety of American and Mexican options. Including and omelet station which my wife loved and a shake/smoothie bar which I loved. The shake/smoothie bar is also where you can get any kind of mimosa made or Bloody Mary. In our opinion the room service breakfast was limited and we never chose this option. Lunch: Seaside Grill was awesome for lunch! My wife said the burgers were "amazing because the meat actually tasted like back in the states". We also enjoyed the popups by the pool. The chicken quesadilla that Sharon would bring us from Barefoot Grill was amazing. Pizza is every day, and they also rotate seafood, burgers, tacos, nachos, wings of the grill, and probably others we missed. Dinner: We did not try all of the restaurants for dinner. We were gifted a romantic dinner on the beach for our honeymoon and that meal was by far our favorite. The steak and lobster they served for the romantic dinner on the beach were so delicious. You do have to pay extra for this but it is worth it in our opinion. My wife is not a huge seafood fan so we stayed away from Oceana, Himitsu regular menu, Bordeaux, and we canceled our reservation at the Greek restaurant, Santorino. My favorite of the restaurants you don't have to pay for was El Patio and my go to there was the bacon wrapped shrimp. My wife's favorite was Portofino and her go to there was the Chicken Parmesan. We also thought very highly of the teppanyaki experience at Himitsu and recommend you schedule this with your concierge the day you arrive because it books fast.If you are a non seafood eater, like my wife, there are great options at any of the other restaurants. For drinks our go tos were for my wife Malibu and Diet Coke and for me frozen Bahama mama with malibu rum instead of vodka. We also enjoyed the espresso martinis, strawberry daiquiris, pina coladas, and pineapple mimosas. When in doubt, ask the bartender or server for their favorite drink or shot! There were at least 4 weddings going on during our visit, so there was a mix of couples, friend groups, and families with older kids. We met a lot of great people and made some great friends! Overall you will have an amazing time at the resort! My wife and I have both been to Mexico a few times and stayed at multiple resorts even other Secrets and we don't know how another resort would top this. We definitely recommend and look forward to returning sooner than later. THIS WASN'T GOODBYE, IT WAS WE WILL SEE YOU LATER!!!!

Came here for a solo trip in 2020. It was one of the best solo trip I ever had. On site snorkeling is the best. I have seen so many different fish, turtles, I hang out in the water and many butterflies flying around. It was beautiful. I rented out cabana for the days I was here. Well worth the upgrade. Friendly and efficient service. I did a number of spa treatment on site. Their strength is the skincare and body care. Massage was so so. Food was overall okay. Wait time was long. Shows were good. Drinks were okay. Once things are more settled, I am planning for coming back for another week. Will definitely try scuba diving this time!

We had a great time at the resort. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Preferred club was definitely worth the price as the room and areas to lounge were a bit more exclusive and nicer. We enjoyed many days on the beach and service was splendid. Fransico who worked/served the preferred club beach chairs was very attentive, super funny and made us feel valued. Our time in his area was the best. We loved the market cafe and wish we ate more lunches there than at the restaurants. Super good buffet style food.

Came here on vacation as a girls trip. Had no idea that it was a couples resort... actually didn't realize it till we walked around and all I saw were couples but that didn't stop us of enjoying this place :) We had a shuttle take us from the airport to this resort (this was not included in our package) upon arrive we were greeted with fresh towels and drinks they also checked our temps as covid regulations and then escorted us to the checkin area. We waited a bit before we could officially check in, there were a few parties in the lobby but they did have cookies, water and champagne available as you waited. They also said you were welcome to walk at the bar which was right below the lobby. Once you were with a rep check in was smooth sailing! The rooms were extremely clean. The only downside was our AC was so finicky and maintenance had to come down a few times to fix it. If you mess with the doors it trips then AC somehow. Also, noticed that there were a lot of dishes in the walkways outside the rooms from people ordering room service. I guess room service was backed up. The restaurants were pretty much walk in. there were a few where you had to make reservations...so make sure to call and book a slot. The El Patio Mexican restaurant was by far my favorite. Food was the best her, the service was exceptional and the servers were fun! The restaurant by the middle main pool barefoot grill had delicious food as well as market cafe. I visited coco cafe often for snack on the food, ice cream and the daily dose of coffee. Oceana was my least favorite, they paired a lot of seafood with fruit and I was not a fan! Restaurants are no 24/7 but room service is and the food is decent. They also had a luau but it was first come first seat and by the time you ate there you'd be stuff from one of the other restaurants. They also have a gym and coaches for daily activities. I did CrossFit and yes it completely kicked my ass. As soon as I showered.. I went to the pool and started drinking. Check out was extremely easy and yessss I would 100%%%%% come back here for vacation!
This was my second experience at an all inclusive resort. This is an adult only resort, so no loud kids running around or anything like that. We were here for 1 week and absolutely loved it. Each building has a concierge that is able to handle bookings or notify you of upcoming activities. My concierge was very helpful and communicated with me through whatsapp. You can also use the hyatt app to find this information. The resort offered many things to do throughout the day. There is also a beautiful beach, and the resort is a short walk to the town of Akumal. Activities were endless (in the morning). There are also some activities that have a limit on participants, so you may need to reserve early such as midnight for paddleboarding, or get to them at least an hour early to have a spot. Unfortunately pools were shutdown by 7. There were multiple restaurant/food options. Drinks were everywhere! There was also drink service at the pools. Room service was included and mini fridge restocked everyday. Tipping was not expected here, but they did accept pesos / US dollars. Overall an amazing experience. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is a great place to start. read more

We came to Secrets for our wedding anniversary. It was a very nice experience compared to the previouse all inclusive resort. Secrets is an adults-only resort, so you wouldn't see any kids running around. We were there for a week, and it was a really nice and relaxing time. It was a really nice adult vacation where all you do is eat and drink. Also, the resort offers activities you can join, but some require advance sign-up, which you can do through the app or your building's concierge. There were a good number of restaurants that you could go to. And there was a good number of bars as well. The staff was really nice and frendly always greeting you and making sure that you are okay. One downside is that if you want to lie at the beach, you will need to get there early to get a chair. A majority of the time, we were at the quiet pool, where people would just be doing their own thing, such as reading a book, on their phone, or just taking a nap. Some people would go into the pool from time to time. But definitely more relaxing. read more
I tagged along my husband's work trip back in October and the company put us up in Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya for four nights. We reached out to the concierge before our trip to help us with a tee time and even though they were very friendly, it took a couple more calls to get a response. Once we arrived to Mexico, the Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya team took great care of us throughout our entire stay. They picked us up from the airport and connected us with our personal concierge, José. José personally took us to our room and gave us important details and info about the resort like which restaurants need a reservation, has a dress code, and which ones are more casual. He also helped us schedule dinner reservations and checked on us numerous times. The resort is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. There are several restaurants offering different cuisines such as French, Italian, Greek, Mexican, and more. The food is pretty good for the most part. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant, El Patio! The dishes were just so flavorful and the drinks were on point. Our least favorite was the Greek. They also offer several pools and a spa. The company treated us to hour-long massages and my masseuse was incredible. I requested medium to hard pressure and she delivered! After the massage, we were able to use the amenities at the spa such as the dry and wet saunas and hydrotherapy. It rained the entire week except for one day, and we went on a snorkeling excursion organized by the company on that day. On another day, we played golf so we didn't get to spend much time outdoors. I barely saw the beach, which I was bummed about, but that's October in Mexico. Overall, I would recommend Secrets Akumal! read more

We LOVED our stay here and will for sure come back, for an anniversary or something in the future! read more

Haven't tried many other resorts (especially in mexico), but highly highly recommend this one! read more

It was such a beautiful time and i'd def will be back. read more
Okay, where do I even start! Thank you staff and crew for an Amazing vacation. read more
At Secrets they really know what it means to be a quality resort. Overall a great experience, I would certainly come back. read more
Amazing resort! The beach and water are clean. read more

**Honeymoon Bliss (Mostly!) - 5 Nights in Paradise with a Few Bumps** My husband and I stayed at this resort for 5 nights and 6 days to celebrate our honeymoon. After paying for our own wedding and me recently losing my job, this trip was something we both truly needed--and it did not disappoint (for the most part)! **Highlights - The PROs:** - **Top-Notch Hospitality**: From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Check-in included a cold towel and champagne, and nightly turndown service came with water by the bed, a mat, and slippers. Housekeeping was phenomenal throughout our stay. - **Stunning Resort**: The grounds were pristine and absolutely beautiful! Everywhere you looked was picture-perfect. - **Amazing Concierge**: Huge shoutout to Diana, our concierge! She went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We returned to our room to find a sweet celebration setup--desserts, balloons, rose petals on the bed and floor, and a "Newlyweds" banner on our door. So thoughtful! - **Delicious Dining Options**: The variety of restaurants catered to every craving. We especially loved the 24-hour café--perfect for coffee lovers like us! We stopped by every day for our caffeine fix. - **Fun, Free Activities**: We took full advantage of the included activities like archery and a scenic 5-mile bike ride around town. The staff running them were so friendly and knowledgeable--it made the experiences even more enjoyable. - **Convenient Transportation**: AmStar, the resort's transportation partner, had a helpful rep on-site daily, making it super easy to schedule off-site adventures or rides. - **Best Breakfast Spot**: Market Café became our go-to each morning. The fresh fruit, smoothies, juices, and overall selection were amazing. Highly recommend it! --- **Lowlights - The CONs:** - **The Sales Pitch Saga**: Unfortunately, on our **very first day**--before we even touched the beach--we were approached by a rep pushing a "non-timeshare" presentation. In exchange for attending a 90-minute seminar, we'd receive $250 in "Leisure Cash," which we planned to use for a spa day. Sounded great at first... - **But it Dragged On...** What was supposed to be 90 minutes turned into a **2.5+ hour ordeal** with multiple people pitching us packages that felt more like car payments stretched over decades. We stayed polite, declined every offer, but the pressure didn't stop. - **Inappropriate Comment**: The worst part? At the end, the original rep--who had been sweet and personable--turned cold and said: _"Your marriage isn't going to last if you don't travel. I'm sorry, but it's true."_ WHAT?! Totally out of line, especially to say to newlyweds. It was honestly shocking and incredibly disappointing. - **Post-Stay Follow-Up**: I did report this in my feedback. The General Manager emailed me with an apology, which I appreciated, but that experience definitely left a sour taste during what should've been a dream trip. --- ### **Travel Tip**: Sunscreen at the resort was **$40 USD**--definitely bring plenty of your own! --- **Overall**, we had an amazing time and made beautiful memories during our honeymoon. The hospitality, food, and activities were all wonderful. I just wish we hadn't had that unfortunate encounter with the sales team. If you go, be cautious of that presentation--it's totally optional and *definitely* not worth your time unless you're genuinely interested. read more

We definitely recommend this resort! read more
Returned for our annual mother daughter trip and once again had a perfect stay. Service is impeccable! read more

Dear Denise D,…
THIS WASN'T GOODBYE, IT WAS WE WILL SEE YOU LATER!!!! read more

The "Concierge" is useless. They are always late and they actually don't do anything. The tour desk Amstar are con artists. They are very lazy and don't respond to guest requests. I tried to book a fishing trip and by the time they got to me they said it was booked and there was nothing they could do. I should have reached out much earlier that day. I actually did reach out first thing in the morning and they delayed a reply back till mid afternoon. Unless you want to just stay on the property and not visit other areas, avoid this place. The restaurants are slow. Unless you are just two people, any larger group, expect 3-4 hours for dinner to complete. You either get dinner or a show, but not both. If you want to talk to management, expect to sit and wait all afternoon. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

Will definitely try scuba diving this time! read more

Super good buffet style food. read more

Check out was extremely easy and yessss I would 100%%%%% come back here for vacation! read more

Good food, endless fun drinks, amazing service. Definitely recommend. We felt very taken care!
This is the first all inclusive resort I have ever experienced, and it was a fabulous time. I went with two of my girlfriends for a girls getaway and we loved our stay. I enjoyed the fact that it was adults only, which really promoted a calm and peaceful experience. Akumal Beach is famous in the Riviera Maya for its turtles, and I saw so many during my snorkeling adventure! The resort had included excursions to snorkel so I signed up for one and the instructor showed us where to go. The coral and turtles were so beautiful and fun to see! As for the food, it was so cool to just walk into all of the different restaurants and know that everything is included and not have to deal with splitting a check. We tried French cuisine at Bordeaux, Mexican food at El Patio, the international buffet at Market Café, seafood at Oceana, Italian food at Portofino, seafood at Seaside Grill, Asian food at Himitsu, and cocktails at the swim up bar and Rendezvous. Most of our meals were quite good, with a stand out being Bordeaux and Portofino. There were so many different pools and the poolside drinks service was outstanding. We also took a hotel-booked day tour to see some cenotes and ruins. I can't wait to come back one day! read more
Just finished five nights at this resort. The service was impeccable . Everyone was so attentive and helpful. Many spoke English, which also made it so much easier to communicate. Whether it was a housekeeping or serving food or drinks, or even towel service on the beach, everything was on point. We never lacked for anything. The concierge was so friendly and knew you by name instantly. They made the visit amazing. Definitely looking forward to coming back to this secrets, or potentially others in the future. The resort is well over an hour from the Cancun airport. So it does take a while to get there on the shuttle service, especially if there are other hotel stops on the way. Additionally, if you book an excursion in Cancun or Isla de Mujeres, it will take at least 2 1/2 hours to get there based on all the stops in between. If you book an excursion, I recommend Tulum Instead of going towards Cancun. It will be much closer and you'll have much less travel time. read more

What a lovely experience! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here for a full seven days and so enjoyed our experience. I know people can be meh about food at all inclusive resorts - but I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The French and the steak restaurant were my least favorites - but everything else was exceptional. From breakfast at the Seaside Grill (we had a preferred room) to lunch at the poolside bar, and then dinners, we really looked forward to the options and variety we were offered. (And the drinks - YUM.) For entertainment - we thought the day programming was the best. From active programs like pool biking and beach volleyball, to minute to win it games and trivia, they had a little something for everyone. And the entertainment staff were so so pleasant! The evening program was, mostly, laughably bad - but my husband enjoyed watching with a drink in hand. Our room was excellent and after a very harmless accident with housekeeping, we were comped a front row beach bed for a day, which was lovely. Besides that, both housekeeping and our concierge were exceptional. From small surprises and treats to celebrate our honeymoon throughout our stay, to booking special experience, they were great. While there we had a spa day - hydrotherapy, massage, facial, and reflexology and I wish I could have done that everyday! It was incredibly relaxing and the spa facilities were exceptional and relaxing. Through the resort, we also booked a tequila tasting and Margarito was fantastic! I truly learned so much about tequila - he was personable, funny, and educational, answering all our many questions. Finally, check in and out were easy and quick. Yes, we had to say no to their selling for the vacation club - but they took no for an answer and let us be on our way. While we probably won't be back, as we are not repeat vacationers, we would definitely try out another Secrets location based on this experience! read more

We booked our vacation with our travel agent for a regular swim out room June 19-24. We arrived and the first thing they asked us at check In "any special occasions" We informed them it was our 30th Anniversary. We asked for an upgrade and they gave us two choices ....1. Beachfront, regular room or 2. Swim out Honeymoon suite with on call concierge. Because we were there during the STORM we opt out on the beach front and went with the Honeymoon suite I noticed it took a little long to get checked in because when we arrived in our room there was an Anniversary sign in our door with wine and a personalized letter. So, while waiting they had someone run and do all the special treat for us. On call Concierge was awesome, even got me a Secrets bag. I especially loved our Romantic dinner on the beach. Waiter took our awesome pictures with the moon in the background and they were very attentive. The food in the market was ...just ok to me nothing special. The Japanese restaurant was my fav out of all of them. The French was my least favorite-maybe cuz it was fine dinning snd it was small portions. Got a call 2x a day from our concierge if we needed any snacks/drinks, towels or any additional service. Service here was impeccable! They made my anniversary Worthwhile!! read more

We thoroughly loved our visit to Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya. Staff, amenities, facilities, beach, restaurants, and entertainment were superb. We were so impressed when, after mentioning that the meat at Santorini had been tough, we received not only a phone call but also a visit from the head concierge. That proves a dedication to providing excellent customer service. At our age, we truly appreciated having a quiet pool where we could enjoy serene relaxation all day, again with outstanding service. The afternoon ice cream and/or chilled fresh fruit carts, and the chilled face cloths were especially a welcome surprise. Another facet that exceeded other resorts we've been to is that Secret Akumal supplies name brand products such as Cottenelle toilet paper and Kleenex/Puffs facial tissues in lieu of the cheaper, thinner brands. We appreciated this very much. Lastly, or concierge was wonderful and so welcoming. She demonstrated genuine regard for our comfort and convenience and we enjoyed being greeted by and speaking to her daily. Thank you! We will recommend Secrets Akumal to our family and friends. Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya is now our favorite resort and we are planning a return 10-day visit in March 2025! Hope to see you then. read more

Secrets Akumal is was far more enjoyable then it's sister property in Cabo. We were here late May early June and enjoyed great daytime weather, with afternoon/evening rain. If you want to to take advantage of the activities arrive 15 minutes prior to start time as many fill up. Illl read more

Our stay at Secrets Akumal was an actual disaster. While the resort itself may look nice on the surface, the lack of professionalism and accountability from the staff made our experience beyond frustrating and stressful. After 2 months of being ignored by Secrets and stressing over trying to get our claim resolved, it's about time to warn others who may be considering this resort for a vacation. My husband fell ill during our stay and visited the on-site doctor on December 27, 2024. Once home and out of the HOSPITAL, we later requested basic documentation of this visit for an insurance claim, we were met with excuse after excuse, and denial after denial. Despite multiple follow-ups, the resort staff--including Sergio Chan and Miguel Salas--failed to provide anything official, downright REFUSED, and went out of their way to skirt any responsibility. Their response was essentially, "The doctor didn't write anything down, so it's not our problem." This is complete nonsense, as they KNOW my husband was seen. They ESCORTED us there! They just don't want to deal with it for whatever reason. This level of negligence is unacceptable for a supposedly high-end resort. We still are unable to submit a claim to our own insurance due to their negligence. This isn't just bad service, it's shady. Secrets Akumal wants to take your money, but the second you actually need help? Good luck. They don't care and will point fingers at you. We will never travel to a Secrets resort or Hyatt destination again until this situation is resolved. Don't trust me? Check all their 1-star reviews on Google. They all pretty much say the same thing as what happened to us. read more

This is a nice resort, however, they should do more to make it clear to potential guests that it's much more of a jungle than a beach-type resort. It would go a long way to set the right expectations, and therefore ensure as pleasant a stay as possible. The good: food seems better than at the other Secrets property we stayed at in the past, with one surprise exception, read on. The resort grounds are lush, with 3 pools to choose from, each with a different activities profile. The one evening show we caught was actually pretty good. The bad: 1) The service. At the pool, the attendant for that section passed by me 3x without a glance and took orders and brought the drinks of the couple seated on the next chaise over. Was my swimsuit so small that you didn't notice me? No tip for you, lady. 2) The bread. For the love, why consistently stale?? Also, food-wise, desserts look good but aren't all that great. 3) It's far even from the new Tulum airport; 45 minute drive. 4) Speaking of far: this is a fairly large resort, and the only way around it is by walking. No golf carts. Take that into consideration when you pack your killer stilettos for dinner. The ugly: Don't go thinking you're going there for the beach, especially if you love the one in Cancun. At this resort, the beach is a sliver, the seaweed piled high and stinky, the refreshing waves non-existent, the ocean water not all that clear, and if you want to actually see the ocean from your room, it's a premium room at a considerable nightly upcharge. read more

Secrets Akumal is an Adults only all-inclusive resort located 1 hour and 20 minutes from the airport. Once you arrive you receive a warm welcome with a cold towel Then seated in the main entrance for about 5 minutes then taken into the preferred club for further check in (if you booked preferred). - The check in process is longer than most resorts. It took about an hour to check in... which isn't ideal when arriving at your destination. - The food to us was sub par. Hit or miss at most restaurants. The main restaurants that were hits were seaside grill (we had an amazing dinner here) and the marketplace cafe. They have buffet breakfast and lunch you don't want to miss!!! Men have to wear pants and nice sandals or close toed shoes at dinner to ALL restaurants or you have to dine outside if outside dining is offered. So pack accordingly. - The rooms are very nice, very clean, THEY SMELL AMAZING. We had drinks and water bottles restocked daily. They also have normal size lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. A clothing steamer and hair dryer. A perk, they have ceiling fans and you can ask for a bedside fan!!! Turndown service was also a very luxurious touch. - The spa is costly but 5 stars. It's so luxurious and smells absolutely amazing you'll want the scent in your home!!! Hot stone massage was one of the best we've had. - This is a quiet lowkey resort. There's not much going on. It's very tranquil. Music was only played at the main pool and it was hit or miss whether it was lively or not. We found this report too chill for us. The resort is also filled With lots of foliage lining the pathway to wherever you're walking. You will get lost so as soon as you start walking from your room so make a mental road map in your head. We got lost the entire trip... finding it difficult and frustrating to find our next stop at the resort or even make it back to our room! - The beach has a lot of beach chairs which is appreciated. We always had a chair no matter the time of day. They also have servers servicing the people at the beach and maintenance cleaning seaweed. It's well maintained. Walk down the beach and find Fernando Jr and Sr and pay $30 to snorkel with the sea turtles. YOU WONT REGRET IT. read more
This was a great adults only all-inclusive resort. We did the preferred junior suite and I'm so glad we did. We were able to get top shelf liquor, eat at Seaside earlier than others for breakfast, and have other snacks in the preferred lounge. All of our bags were sanitized when we arrived as well as the bottom of our shows and hands. Our room was fantastic and the AC was very good. The room was spotless and spacious with a tub on the balcony as well as a jetted tub inside. We also had a standing shower and glass door separating the toilet. If you do preferred, you have a specific menu you can order from for room service. Our fridge was stocked with juice, soda, and bottle water. There were snacks and mini liquor bottles on our counter. Room service came and did turn down service and cleaned our room every day which was nice. There's about 4 or 5 pools: one has a swim up bar, one is the quiet pool, and the other is close to Seaside Grill. Staff comes by and introduces themselves as well as asks if you need anything drink wise. I loved that there was so much shade available if you wanted it. The pools were very clean as was the beach. If you ever got lost, the wonderful people working there could easily help you and were happy to help. There were shows pretty much every night we were there and they started with a dinner buffet. There was also lunch buffets available if you didn't want to go to any of the restaurants. I definitely recommend this resort for those who aren't sure of it. This was our first time and it was great. You can also book excursions through the hotel if you want to. read more
We went for a wedding and I have to say that the service was absolutely phenomenal. The staff, concierges, everyone was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It is a beautiful resort. Adults only but in the quieter side. Very relaxing, cool activities. The beach is gorgeous too but there is a ton of seaweed. The team there rakes it up but it's a lot. I think the signage could be better for the different buildings. Also be prepared for the condensation, it's really humid. The restaurants onsite are delish! Lots of different options. Our room had an ocean view and outside tub. They also had swim up rooms and a swim up bar. I highly recommend and will be back! read more

This secrets is actually an awesome resort the food, drinks and staff were on point about everything. The check in process went smoothly, they showed you around the resort before taking you to your room. The room was really clean. I always bring my lysol sheets to wipe down the room but housekeeping did a great job. The staff was extremely nice and it wasn't because they were getting paid to be nice. When we go on vacation we look for different things. This vacation we were looking for an great view and a lot of relaxation. There was a huge serenity pool on one side and if you want more action there is another pool on the other side of the resort with a swim up bar and activities. The beach was clean and there were plenty of chairs with umbrellas in the sun or in the shade. The nightly entertainment had really talented staff not the waiter trying to multitask. It was well organized and put together. The breakfast buffet was great they switch up some of the items. You have to wear a mask and they give you a plastic glove to use but most of the food was served to you. The seafood restaurant had great seafood and it taste really fresh. We were amazed how great the coconut shrimp taste. The only downside was service at this particular restaurant was slow. All of the bars were pretty consistent with making great drinks that taste and look good. Everyday they had a different drink special. The wet bar in your room only consisted of water, juice, soda and beer no tequila or rum was in your room. Finally they were definitely in compliance with the Covid 19 guidelines and they also provide a free Covid test so you can return home. read more

This is our last day at this resort and I have to say I'm going to miss it Everything is going perfect ! The staff are amazing , so professional and hard working , always with a smile and really welcoming. Most of the restaurants have amazing food, but in my experience slightly cold when served, still very delicious. Rooms are so clean and beds are so comfortable! They have night shows every night . Overall very relaxing and enjoyable The only downside"if you consider it a downside" is the ocean view rooms are not really ocean view due to lots of trees , which I found it even more attractive and the infinity pool is not actually infinity since it's blocked by the chairs and trees on the beach .no seaweeds this time of the year, they clean the beach daily and the sound is powdery white!! Beautiful and very memorable Christmas this year !thank you Sectet Akumal. read more
Absolutely beautiful location. Lush foliage, iguanas and coatis. The layout is such that almost anyone will get lost. Not enough signs at the forks in the road. I had a partial ocean view building 7 near the 24/7 cafe but a good 5 minute walk to beach. All rooms have in room jacuzzi and minibar stocked with beer water and soda. Service is almost overboard great. Hand sanitizer is everywhere. All toiletries are sanitized and wrapped until you arrive. Includes toothpaste sunscreen soap body wash sewing kit. 24 hr room service on your in room tablet. Food is good to great. Restaurants rotate with 1-2 being closed every night. Staff wear masks and try to enforce guests wearing masks indoors. The guests don't always comply with masks which made me uncomfortable. Just like home right? Buffet is served to you by staff. Dinner restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating. All bars serve top shelf liquor with nasty artificial tasting mixers unless you request fresh made drinks or do jack n sprite etc. Not even a decent margarita. What a waste of all that top shelf liquor. The red wines are tolerable. The chardonnay is not drinkable. FYI: there is a $600 hold placed if you give a card for incidentals. Men need pants and collared shirt for dinner. January nights are cool. Can get down to 60s. I wore jeans some nights and brought a serious heavy sweater to go over my dresses. Service is some of the best of any resort I have been to. Recommended read more

We had the most amazing trip, this resort is better than the pictures. It's gorgeous, clean and the food is amazing. They even have a talented pianist at the Italian and French restaurant! It's only an hour away from the airport and it is pure luxury. Toni and Dany from the activities crew were so awesome! We did paddle boarding, Kayaking and archery with them and had a blast! They even did a water rescue! Sofia was also so sweet and kind while we attended the evening events in the lobby and the theater. Jose our concierge at building 8 always made sure we had all the scheduled activities and helped to book our special dinner, spa appointment and even checked on us when we wet paddle boarding. The Buffet is also amazing but the staff is even more amazing! Giovanni and Francisco treated us like family. Book your trip! You will be glad you took my advise! Luxury with a home feel. read more

We just got back from our wonderful trip to Secrets Akumal. We stayed at 8 other Secrets properties in Mexico, Dominican Republic and Jamaica. This time at Secrets Akumal, was absolutely perfect. We can't decide between Secrets Akumal and Secrets Maroma Beach, which one is our favorite. Definitely this resort has more pools and lounges than any other resort we've been to. It's a plus that you don't have to wake up at 6am to reserve chairs by the pool. People are phenomenal; Eliezer, Lilly, (just to name a few) thank you for all! I think that this time we will return to this property. It's absolutely perfect! Our 10 days vacation was not enough! read more
Secrets Akumal A well needed vacation. This was the perfect resort after the move from the last one. Everything matched the vision that I had for a resort vacation in Mexico. Food was great, activities were great, shows were fun, the pools were amazing and the staff was awesome. we didn't have anything that we didn't like to eat the restaurants were spectacular. We love the upgrade of our room with the balcony, we ordered room service one night so we could get chicken wings, lol. The cleaning staff was great, the entertainment staff was great, the waiters and waitresses were awesome. I had no complaints about any of the above stuff. 1. What I do want you to know is that they really push the time shares, and we wanted nothing to do with that. 2. They pushed it so much upon checking in that they forgot to give us the details about what they have at the property. 3. They gave us some coupons to get, for instants, $10 off a little wine. What we pay $72 for their they wanted to charge us $400. 4. They pushed the very expensive gourmet meal on the beach even after their $60 coupon it's still at a cost $240. And a bottle of wine was extra. LOL, not. 5. We didn't do the spa treatments either because it was so stupid expensive in price. It cost a lot for this place, we didn't wanna spend any extra money. I WOULD RECOMMEND Here are some special people; -Lobby; Salvador& Daniel Elaine Alexandra Victor -Barefoot bar; Alejandro -Seaside grill; Alberto,Alma, Guadalupe -Concierge; Araceli -Bellman; Juan -Preferred club; Mario,Victor, Roberto, Sandiego, Diane, Esteban, Jesus -Barracuda; Marco -activities; Metz & Renéé -Room service; Mario -Housekeeping; Angle -Mexican Showtime Dinner America Elezar Alejandro Diana -Oceana Guadalupe & David Oceana; Guadalupe & David were awesome and my heart goes out to the amazing chef's. They created works of art for the palate. From Scallops Shishimi, amazing coconut shrimp, grilled octopus, fig salad, smoke octopus for the appetizer and main course. I couldn't stop eating. My favorite restaurant at this resort! Preferred club; Mario, Victor, Roberto, Sandiego, Diane, Esteban, Jesus Barracuda- Marco, great employee. Activity Metz was so fun, I loved her enthusiasm. Bingo in the water was fun and I really did enjoy the pool biking. Today we kicked Renéé bottom playing BOCCÉ, loved him. I WOULD RECOMMEND #WorldofHyatts #SecretsResort #Seaturtles #Akmal read more
Secrets Akumal was beautiful, it makes you feel you are situated in the middle of the jungle and truly away from reality. Services are personable and impeccable, food from all different restaurants are very nice, with the exception of the Italian restaurant, food there was very so-so. Programs are well curated, and facilities are great. We spent four day at Secrets Akumal and three days at Secrets Moxche. If I had known, I would choose to stay at Secrets Akumal for the entire week. Even though Secrets Moxche is brand new, it was disappointing in many aspects. read more

Amazing property, their attention to detail is impressive. We had lunch on the beach several days (on the sand, not near the beach)and after lunch the ice cream cart shows up on the beach. All of this is included. Room service is 24-7 and each building has a concierge to help with anything. read more

We returned to our Secrets stay in Akumal for a sixth time and I have to say that it was the best trip yet! Everyone at the Secrets resort in Akumal treated us like royalty from the minute we stepped off the shuttle. From Abraham, Erik, Esteban and Orlando bringing us refreshing drinks at the pool to Antonio making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. We never had a want for anything. The food at the Italian restaurant (Portofino) was excellent. Diego and Luis provided a fabulous service experience. Araceli, our Concierge went out of her way to seek me out and wish me a happy birthday. She had our room decorated in celebration. These great people are all amazing and are the backbone of the resort. Four people deserve even higher recognition. They went above and beyond our expectations and should be acknowledged separately because of how they treated us. On our first day, Oliver (on the entertainment team) recognized us from previous visits and welcomed us with open arms. He stopped by almost every day with a warm hello. He and another gentleman named Eliezer (pool concierge) brought me a birthday cake at the pool. Eli had a great energy about him accompanied with a warm smile. He sought us out on our last day to say goodbye even though he wasn't working in our area. He was very special! Marco in the sports bar was awesome! He made the best cocktails! He even memorized our pink and black yeti cups, knowing exactly what went in them every time. You can tell he cares about the quality of the cocktail he makes. His blackberry margaritas are the best of the resort. He even personally delivered coconut's filled with the perfect concoction poolside (something a bartender does not typically do). Thank you for the excellent service Marco! Lastly, Francisco was our server at the third (quiet) pool. He is the hardest worker I have ever seen. He never stops serving drinks and piles of plates filled with food. A refreshing and positive experience followed with questions of what he could do to make our experience even better. He should be recognized as a great asset to the company and the business model for what service should look like for any business. Overall, we had an excellent time at Secrets Akumal and would highly recommend this beautiful property and the surrounding area. Can't wait until our seventh visit read more

had to take a moment to recognize the incredible team that made our stay at Secrets Akumal truly unforgettable. My name is Regina, and I visited as part of the Bundle Birth nurses group--and from the very beginning, the experience was beyond anything I expected. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the staff waiting for us set the tone. They were warm, organized, and genuinely happy to welcome us. After traveling, that kind of energy makes all the difference. Check-in was seamless, and being greeted with cold water and refreshing towels was such a thoughtful touch. Our luggage was handled effortlessly, and we were guided to our rooms with care and professionalism. A very special thank you to Jose, our concierge in Building 9. He truly elevated our entire stay. Every single day he greeted us with a smile, checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, and gave us great guidance to explore the resort. His kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Alan and Oscar from the turtle excursion were absolutely amazing. For many of us, it was our first time doing something like that, and they made us feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Keeping the groups small made the experience feel personal and special. Mario and Oscar, who led activities like water polo and salsa dancing, brought so much life and connection to the resort. They created such a fun and inclusive atmosphere--it really helped people come together. Honestly, the only thing I'd suggest is making these activities longer because everyone was having such a great time! The shows and events were phenomenal, and the food across the resort was truly 10/10--authentic, delicious, and consistent everywhere we went. At Coco Café, Liliana (working the night shift) stood out for her exceptional service. She remembered names, greeted us warmly every time, and made each visit feel personal. And Mario Castillos at the bar was consistently friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Every single staff member we encountered contributed to making this experience so special. I've never stayed at a hotel where the team is this genuinely kind, attentive, and dedicated. Thank you all at Secrets Akumal for making our trip so memorable--you truly made us feel at home. --Regina, Bundle Birth Nurses Group read more

This resort is very nice. However, there's a few things that people should know before coming here. Everyone's experience is different and I get that but I'm only speaking for LGBT AND BLACK. Now there were some great waiters and concierge workers that were 10/10 for what we needed. The culture here was a bit off sometimes. Certain bars would skip over me and focus on the other races specifically white and Spanish straight people. As far as the other guest, now there's a lot of older white people at this resort so they only really talk to each other so we felt alienated at the pools. The black straight people all seem to be in competition so they don't talk to each other nor do they loosen up to have a good time. You will see most of the straight black people only being friendly to white people. It's just weird. If you want to come and just stay to yourself and enjoy with your partner it can still be enjoyable. My partner and I have been to 8 resorts. Our recommendation is SECRETS PUERTO VALLARTA for lgbt family. Theres an entire gay strip in town and the resort is super lgbt friendly and guest are all chill and welcoming. Overall the food and atmosphere here is 6/10. Lastly, There's animals like cats and raccoons that will come out. read more

Hands down this resort and vacation overall was the best I have ever been on. From the service we received to the overall location and tropical feel, it was amazing. Our beloved travel agent, Julie with Postcard Getaways, recommended Secrets Akumal after we gave her some basic ideas of what we were looking for. This place far exceeded our expectations. Felipe at the pool was the most sincere and attentive server I have ever encountered. Guadeloupe our housekeeper always had our room serviced, bed turned down & minibar filled with cold beverages when we returned to our suite after a long day of fun activities, dinner shows or simply Sun by the pool. The beach was gorgeous. We cannot wait to return. read more

My stay at Secrets Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa was absolutely unforgettable! The soft, sandy beach was like a dream, making every moment spent by the ocean magical. We stayed in Building Five in the Preferred Club, and the service we received was beyond incredible. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our every need, ensuring our experience was seamless and luxurious. From the attentive service to the beautiful surroundings, this resort exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for a perfect getaway, this is the place to be! read more
