Do not trust this place for acrylic nails! The first set of nails I had by Elegant put a hole in the nail of my thumb. After having a real, respected nail salon remove the horrendous job from Elegant I was told I had to wait until my thumb nail grew out to get a new set. I returned in hopes of just getting a fill while in town and the woman didn't know how to do fix basic pull on my nails, and then continued to argue with me. Someone who has been apparently doing acrylics for over 20 years should know how to do the most basic fill. Needless to say, I won't be returning for my acrylic nail needs! Stay away! Quite rude and know it alls . I had a fill 2 Days ago and half of my nails are chipping. Kim said to come in and she would fix them. According to Kim, it's my fault because my nails are too thin and I need a new full set. My set is fairly new and they got thinner after she filed the old acrylic too thin. Worst experience I have ever had with a nail appointment came in just for a fill and they turned out all different sizes and a completely different shape I started out with. Also had to pay 45$ for a fill and they ended up looking horrible. She removed one of my nails because she said it broke when she was drilling it and she replaced it for another 5$. I wish I could give this place 0 stars!! Honestly the worst nail salon I have ever been to. My boyfriend and I are here visiting so we decided to check this place out, we sat in the chair for over an hour and a half waiting, and then when someone finally came over, they did my whole pedicure while my boyfriend just sat there! The point is to have both of us done at the same time. I would have never gotten one if I knew that would have been the case. Then an older woman came over to do my boyfriends pedicure, she did about MAYBE 10 minutes of services, which were SUB PAR, and said ok you're done. He has very rough feet and she didn't even LOOK at them. She trimmed his toes and that's about it, not even a decent foot massage. They charged us $70 for shitty service. DO NOT COME HERE!! A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. The owner is also extremely rude to her employees and customers. This place needs to not be in business!! She did an ok job on my nails, the acrylic was put too close to my cuticles and so when she was drilling cut into my cuticles. They were sore for two days. They are all now peeling back and look horrible. The acrylic is also bumped up at the cuticle and looks funny as they are growing out. Worst experience there today. The manager was a rude bit** to me today. She started yelling in my face and told me to leave because my sister asked what she got charged extra for. She wanted to make sure what she was paying for. A paying customer has the right to ask what they are being charged for. The manager also said men's feet are an extra 5.00 because they're yucky feet. They have almost always been able to get me in the same day I call. My nails look great and always last easily 3 weeks. Lily and Kim are incredibly hard working ladies that keep the place running. Unsanitary!!! They were nice, and I understand the cultural differences that would make them seem too direct, even "rude" to Americans. But the state of Oregon has very valid laws regarding sanitation in nail salons, and they did not seem to follow them. When the woman got the clippers out to start trimming my cuticles there was a clump of someone else's cuticles in the clippers still! Scheduled wedding party mani-pedis here last week. Because we had appointments, we got right in. I'm not sure why this place gets such bad reviews. Maybe it's because these Asian nail places are a dime a dozen in Portland and up here you know you are getting a decent service at a moderate price. If you want a spa, go to a spa and pay double. A week later, both my shellac manicure and regular pedicure look good. We did get the hard sell for upgrades many times and we just nicely said no. These types of places don't offer anything for free. If they offer you scented bath scrub, you'll pay for it. If they offer a flower detail, you'll pay for it. They'll ask you if you want your brows waxed. If you do, great, you'll pay for it. If you don't, just say no. They place was clean and pleasant. The ladies seemed to be treated well. The music ranged from techno to Christmas. But I had a good time with my bridesmaids and was happy at the end of the appointment. read more

We were scheduled but greeted and if we had not. The facility was understaffed. Kim was nice but running her head off. She kept adding people to the stations but there were not enough people to work them. Plus she did all the wax walk ins. It was one of the worst experiences I have had in a nail salon. I have been going to Elegant Nails for years.I have tryed other place in town but no one is as nice or sweet as the guys at elegant nails. I am a homemade so I am always cleaning and my nails dont broken, lifting they always look like great. I have had friends try to get me to go to other places cause they just opened so they have good deals but I always get bad nails and end up back at Elegant Nails. They also treat my kids like family so its nice when I have to take my kids with me. read more

Horrible, horrible service. I came here for a simple manicure and have paint all over my hands and fingers. The women I had was very forceful and got very angry with me when I had asked for her to cut my nails shorter. I am only seventeen and they definitely took advantage of that, I was still a paying costumer just like everyone else there. Elegant Nails seems to be one of the more popular shops in Bend for getting acrylic nails. They do an excellent job. Keit and Lily are two nail techs that I've heard great things about. I've gotten acrylics there just once and the owner did them for me. He did a great job. Wasn't extremely professional (talked with other technicians while doing my nails, swore a few times) but was friendly. I got a pedicure here because it's close to my house. I read the bad reviews but also figured I could advocate for myself and get a decent pedicure. That's definitely what needed to happen. I had to ask for them to file my nails. I had to ask to get the dry skin scrubbed off and I had to point out that I requested a delux plus which states that it comes with a massage (it doesn't). Overall it was a pretty bad experience... 3 people switched off to do different things. At the end I still had dead skin around my cuticle area and the polish was all over my toes. Also, I was waiting for my toes to dry and the guy says to me "you're done, pay and go". I understand language barrier but they couldn't even let me sit for 5 minutes to dry the polish?? I sat in my car waiting for them to dry. Beyond disappointing for a $36 pedicure. The deluxe plus is $35 but they charge $1 for the file they have to use on you. read more

I've had some pretty bad manicures, but this place did by far the worst job. It started with me calling to ask if they had availability for walk-ins, and the lady on the phone said that they had walk-ins all day long. So I was expecting to be able to relax and unwind and take my time, but nope--not today. I ended up arguing with my manicurist the whole time and the manicurist next to him, and I asked about five different times for him to cover the tips of my nails with the polish, and then there was polish spilling off of my nails and onto my skin and he very obviously saw the mistake, realized the polish couldn't just be wiped away because it was dry, and was going to leave my nail that way until I asked him to then fix it, and that's when the manicurist next to us came over, snatched my hand, and told me that it was just the shape of my nail that made the polish spill out and that it wasn't his fault, when it definitely was. And, when I walked in the door, it looked like my manicurist was being trained and he looked like he had no idea what he was doing the whole time. It was a rushed job from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left, and if I could write a review and give this establishment zero stars, I would. I should not have had to pay for this service, because if I wanted to have a messy nailpolish job, I could have just done it myself instead of paying the $35 I did. The gel manicure was $30, and I tipped $5. Never going here again, except to ask for my refund. Rude from the start to finish, rushed, and terrible polish job. read more

Just read other reviews below. Any small business shouldn't have this many bad reviews. Its not that hard to be good or great when you are a smaller business and have the time to attend to each customer. Besides that fact this is a "tending to pampering needs" type of business. Walked in with no appointment around noon. Greeted by the owner with a huge sigh and a glance at the clock. If she had appointments coming up she could have said "sorry we can't take a walk in right now can we schedule you. Instead she spoke in a different language to an employee. After a little back and forth she said "ok sit in chair". Which began the worst pedicure I have ever had. Along with a rushed pedicure (probably the fastest I have ever received), a pretty bad massage, and not all the treatments given that were on the list of extras I paid for I experienced something like never before. Let me set the tone. I personally like to sit back and relax in the massage chair sometimes close my eyes and drift off for that brief period of time away from work, away from worries, away from distractions. Isn't that part of the experience we pay for? Well part way through my pedi a door-to-door sales woman came in and pitched sales to the owner (who was still up towards the front of the business and should have stopped the sales woman there.) Then proceeded to come all the way to the pedi area and offer products to the tech working on my pedi. What in the world? The tech stopped what she was doing, got up and walked away to go discuss the items being sold. After a few minutes the sales woman went outside to her car, got whatever was being sold came back in and sold things to my tech. What in the world is going on here? Again, small business. So you mean to tell me this sales woman who has some sort of small business, who should understand the exact definition of customer care, is going to interrupt a relaxing moment for another small business patron? It is beyond me how so many people failed here. The owner first and foremost for letting this sales woman even breach the lobby. My tech for engaging in complete nonsense when she is in the middle of services a paying client. And the sales woman who has the audacity to put herself and her gimmicks above others. Bottom line, I'm just bummed. I feel like I was robbed because I was. Of time, of treatments I paid for, and frankly of respect. It's really too bad in a smaller town that prides itself on being nice and supporting local that above all else respect of a customer is so low on the list. If I could stand outside all day and share my experience with people before they walk in I would. Its not just about me and my bad experience. Look below my review. Review after review after review about how this place does not care about their customers. Please understand that respect is priceless. The $25-$85 you make on a client is gone before you know it. My sister who is visiting from Australia took me for a manicure while she had a gel mani/pedi. When we got home she realized that she had given $150 instead of $105 for her $90 bill. To her the currency being all the same color is confusing. We called the salon back and was told to return. We did and were shown a $100 and $5 bill and was told 'no $50 bill in jar'. The owner set it all up. When I showed up, Lisa was not there. She was in Vietnam on vacation and had been in Vietnam for weeks and was going to be there for several more.
