I scheduled two pedicures for my friend and I to run consecutively as they were a little short staffed and only had time for that. When I booked, I wasn't advised that it was cash or check only, but that's not a huge issue because there was an ATM and store near by. They were running behind, so my pedicure didn't start until about 30 minutes after the start time, pushing back my friends as well. The tools used were not sanitized, but washed in a sink. My nails were not cut straight, with 7/10 sloping toward my big toe. After completing my pedicure, they seemed frustrated to have to do my friends as well, and again, the tools were not sanitized, but washed. I came here visiting my mom and thought I would get my nails done. I got a dip manicure which is not good. The girl only did one coat of the pink and one coat of the glitter and charged me 10$ extra for it. And she said I had nice cuticles and didn't even do those. It's been over a year since I got my nails done and she said this after I told her that. Not only this, but she scraped her boot on my toe and didn't redo it. Called early this morning to see if I could get acrylic nails done this afternoon and not only did they fit me in right away, they did an AMAZING job! Coming from Portland, I'm use to paying at least $100+ for quality acrylics in the Pearl and I'm extremely pleased to have found a place in Bend that matched the quality and professionalism I am use to from the nail salon in The Pearl that I use to visit. Ended up with acrylics and airbrushing a design on the tips plus two diamond gems on my ring fingers and for $41 (before tip)! Tyler took his time shaping my nails and prepping them prior to the design phase so they're proportionally equal in length and pointed how I wanted them. I went in for a full acrylic set and was disappointed. I've definitely had worse sets, and the staff were pleasant. However, it was the most basic experience. No hand massage, no ambiance, and the nail tech didn't have any creative abilities whatsoever. I was hoping for a place I could get nail art done, get pampered and relax. But this was not it. They had a loud TV program running the whole time playing a "man food fire" episode and seemed more interested in it than in doing my nails. Instead of the usual techniques I am a custom to, he just did the clear acrylic and put normal nailpolish directly over it. Overall, I plan on going somewhere else for my next fill. read more
