The staff was very friendly and the decor is kind of Italian modern. Two things were missing. 1. Cleanliness - They didn't wash out the pedicure bowls or the nail bowls and used the same instruments on me that they used on the prior customer without washing or sterilizing them. 2. Pedicure - I had the basic. I went in with flaky skin on my feet and came out with the same. I felt they should, at least, have given my feet a good scrub. Also, no cream massage for my manicure. I was visiting from out of town and decided on a whim to try this place. Sadly, I should have checked the reviews first. We were seated right away which was nice. But they didn't tell us they didn't have staffing for both of us and left my sister sitting in spa chair for 30 mins before helping her. When I asked the technician not to cut my cuticles she gave me a dirty look and kept making jokes that I was too sensitive. She would randomly get up and disappear for several minutes. Later during my manicure she left without saying anything and didn't return for 15 minutes. I asked her again not to cut my cuticles and she laughed and called me high maintenance. She rushed through the shellac manicure leaving large bumps of product under my nails and rough edges. She kept jerking my hands and telling me to relax which was really uncomfortable. This is also the first nail salon I've gone too that didn't offer a hand and arm massage with a $35 shellac manicure. After my services were done, she refused to take my credit card and made me go get cash. I could see a credit card machine behind the desk and a tiny sign that said please help us keep costs down by paying cash. It would have been nice to know they preferred cash before I sat down. I paid $71 for a "deluxe" pedicure and a rushed shellac manicure and then find out the flower she offered to paint on my toe was $5 extra. After I paid she stood over me while I went through my wallet for her tip and looked very displeased I wast leaving much of a tip after lackluster service. They did a decent pedicure and were very nice but the woman was on her phone for half of it and then got up and walked away after doing half the polish job. She said nothing to us and I was left sitting there for 5 minutes before anyone came over to let me know I was all done. I won't be returning to this place. read more

My friend and I had an appointment. Waited 45 minutes until Someone finally started my friends pedicure. Another 30 minutes later someone started mine. Yet our pedis finished at the same time. Both charged $31. I still have dry calluses. Paid $31 to get toenails painted. NEVER going back. read more

Had the worst experience with Elegant Nails yesterday here in Bend. Working in customer service my whole life, have I EVER treated a customer the was I was treated nor will I ever! I had the WORST Pedicure I've ever had!!!! To have the "what I believe to be" owner named Kim, tell me that redoing my pedicure or giving me money back for such a poor job just wasn't "FAIR"...... Flat out refused to correct her mistake! Needless to say for what I paid and the treatment I received, I'll never return and will now look into reviews on establishments like this in the future before spending an overabundance of money on something my four year old could of done for free. read more

A friend and I went here for pedicures. The gentlemen that did them seemed rushed the entire time and weren't thorough. They missed covering parts of the nail on my friend's toes and seemed annoyed when she asked for it to be fixed. My pedicure chipped 2 days later and when I took off the polish, I found some of my previous polish color under the new one. My friend had been there before and said it was better last time she was in. She thinks that maybe the women in the shop do a better job than the men. Who knows.... For now, I would not recommend Elegant Nails. Also, they only take cash or check, but they do have an ATM right next to the cash wrap...seems weird but whatever. read more

Wow $30 for a spa pedi and what a waist of 15 minutes !!! Horrible service. The only reason I gave a star is it was a clean salon!! The young lady who attempted to give me a pedi cure did not remove the old polish off my skin ugh my toes look awful she didn't do a Calais removal at all but charged me the extra $5.00 she didn't clean up the cuticle areas sound my nails and did a terrible job of applying the polish. I have never been so disappointed with the services received anywhere as I was with Elegant Nails salon. In the defense of the shop, we were 10 minutes late to our appointment so it got off to a bad start. We had made appointments for 4 mani/pedis for a bride and her party the day before the wedding. The shop opened at 10AM and the second they opened we called to tell them we were going to be late because we were lost. We apologized and were told repeatedly it wasn't a problem and that they weren't going anywhere . We arrived at 1010 and were set up for our pedicures, which initially weren't going to be together. The bride asked the man who seemed to be in charge if it were possible to all sit together, and instead of explaining that it wasn't in a respectful way he said, "Well, If you would have shown up on time it would have been." Again, this is reasonable, we were late to our appointment. It was just the manner in which he said it which was totally unprofessional. Eventually we all sat down together. The pedicurist working on my feet and my sister's were great, very friendly and gave good quality pedicures! However the man in charge was attempting to do the pedicure of both the bride and her mother simultaneously. He neglected to turn off the water to the foot tub of one and it overflowed and soaked all of our things. Again, honest mistake. Her mother hadn't even noticed it was overflowing because she had been talking to us and facing the other direction. The reaction of the man in charge was again to blame the mother, loudly and in front of all the other customers. She then sat in the chair for another 20+ minutes waiting for someone to even come start her feet. When the bride and my sister finished they went over for manicures. The bride asked if she could sit next to her friend and the man again, instead of professionally explaining that the manicurists had assigned stations, he loudly and rudely told her no, that wasn't how they did things there, she couldn't sit wherever she wanted. At that point everyone was addressing us so rudely the bride and maid of honor decided that they did not want to get their manicures there. The bride came over into the waiting area and was talking to me when the man in charge came over, stood very close to her, threw his hands up in the air and said "So what's the problem today?!" She said, "Everything is the problem, from the time we arrived." He repeated himself and launched into an angry explanation about how we had been 20 minutes late and rude from the time we walked in the door. Keep in mind this was in the middle of the waiting area in front of at least 10 other customers and all the employees. She told him, I'm not going to have this conversation here, in the middle of your store. He stormed back to his station and we waited outside for her mother, whose pedicure had just been started. While we were waiting for her he came to the front door, kicked the door stop out from underneath it, and slammed the door shut. Feeling obviously unwelcome to wait there we moved to our car to wait. Five minutes later while still in the car he stormed out of the shop again, shot us a death glare and stormed across the parking lot. It was obvious that this guy was probably having a rotten day, but the difference between good/average/ and mind blowingly terrible customer service is being able to control that and interact with the clients in a respectful manner, even if you are not always being super friendly or letting them get their way. All of this could have been avoided by simply saying, "We're really sorry, but we're busy today and you were late for your appointment. The next time we can fit you in together is..." or something along those lines. Instead, it was obvious he knew we were tourists who wouldn't be returning and didn't give a crap about our experience. read more

I don't know if it is a language barrier but the staff seems unfriendly and unhappy. They always try to push the Spa deluxe and when they find you only want the simple pedi they seem to not do as a good job. I paid using my debit card and the lady said, "next time you come you NEED to pay with cash or check" They are set up to take visa and mastercard, why bother? That is a little inconvenient for me, as I always use my debit card. I have been debating whether to go back or not and have tried other nail places. I too, was concerned over the sanitary conditions of the implements they use on me and how clean the pedi bowls are. read more

I'm writing this to save others. The last, and I do mean last time I went for a shellac, they ground of the polish with one of their drills and along with the polish, removed a great deal of my own nail, leaving them extremely weak. Even the shellac they used afterwards did not strengthen them. I went home an realized that my nails were so soft that I filed them back really short so that they would eventually grow out strong again. I put a nail hardener on over the shellac to make them a little bit better. Last night I had my nails done again at another shop and they soaked off the shellac and did a wonderful job. A lady at this shop, having her nails done, had a similar experience at Elegant Nails. She doesn't go there anymore either. Besides poor quality work, she had contracted an infection from tools that had not been sanitized. read more

This has to be the worst nail salon I have ever been. First of all they do not honor appointments.My daughter and I had appointments at the same time and I was done before they started on her. The quality of work is bad. The person doing my pedicure was talking on her phone the entire time and slapped my leg when she wanted me to move it. They act as if they don't know what a credit card is and led me to an ATM machine. read more

Terrible service from the moment I walked in. The woman painting my nails was insanely rude to me and my friend the entire time. They yelled at us to pay during the middle of painting our nails. In addition to the bad service, it is also bad quality. After they were finished there was nail polish all over my fingers, I had at least 3 nails with medium to large air bubbles in them, and the polish looked unfinished. I feel bad giving such a poor review, but I was beyond disappointed with this place. My best advice; go somewhere else. read more

1 star doesn't even cut it. i used to love going here but i will not return. i asked for certain nails and didn't get them. the length, color, and style was 100% off and she wouldn't put any effort to improve them or re do the colors. really poor work. i'm disappointed. $60 down the drain!! read more

I've gone here three or four times. They do decent work, but really are not friendly at all. Talking very loud to each other the entire time. Not a very polite, particularly the women. The men are more friendly, but they really don't make you feel extremely welcome. It's really just a service, not an experience. But, as far as the nails they do they are decent. Last couple weeks, they do great shape and for all different types of nail styles. Have a good amount of colors. They also do pretty quick work, great at eyebrow waxing! Not sure I would recommend them, but if you do happen to find thats the only place you can make it into, they do the job. read more

I am in town on business and desperately needed a fill on my acrylics. When I called she quoted me $18 so I went in. The shop is very nice- Ill give them that. HOWEVER, not only did they not drill out my fill all the way- they used a different color fill than the one I had (I had glitter-they used clear) so my back nails are half pink glitter and half clear... BUT they tried charging me an extra $7 for putting on a top coat. My bill was $26 for a cm long fill that didnt even match. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Then when I confronted her on her price quote she aknowleged it but said it was my fault for not explaining that I wanted my fill to match?! I ended up refusing to pay more than $20 and handed them that and walked out. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

This salon was the epitome of the Vietnamese Nail Salon that I won't go to. First off, I want to say that Boun was very good, however, I think my service was a bit rushed as the manager/ owner kept taking walk in's, along with customers with appointments. This is why I will not return to this salon......I had made appointments for the two of us, with the manager or owner. We were sat at the pedicure stations and Boun began my pedicure. My sister had her feet soaking in the tub for 25 minutes past our appointment! This is unacceptable. We told Boun that we don't have time to wait for her pedicurist to do her service. We were continually told....."Five more minutes.....five more minutes....." My sister ended up having to forego her pedicure which she had an appointment for. I have been in many nail salons and I can tell how long an acrylic set will take, or a gel manicure. This salon is greedy and severely lacking in customer service. Unfortunately this is very common in Vietnamese nail salons where they string you along and keep you soaking in a pedicure tub. It is not rocket science, I have a place I like to go to in Aptos, California where they set a timer to ensure that every client gets the full amount of time that they paid for, for their service. They also don't overbook, and they will have walk in's return at a later time. I will not come back to Elegant Nails. read more
