Worst service ever. Took over ten minutes to get a glass of water and there's only four other parties in the whole restaurant. Didn't get a refill on my water until after my food arrived. On the bright side, the bartender has the craziest big butt I've ever seen. Should've asked for her to come over to rest my drink on. Amazing!! We just had our friends baby shower brunch there we were bit disappointed! We made reservations for 20 and the waitress was amazing at getting drink orders quickly. Came here for my first time tonight and was very delighted with the food and service especially from Sharon who greeted us with a smile and even gave us a tour of the taco bar which was super good made with handmade tortillas and an amazing salsa bar which included their signature corn bread ! Went there yesterday 3/27/17 & they must have had the beginner Cooks & Bartender working when my party of 4 arrived at 6:30pm. My Melon margarita only had the color of a melon. It literally tasted like blended ice. I returned it for a mojito which was way better. Their Chile Relleno was NOT like they once were. I ordered the create your own with 2 Chile relleno's rice & beans as always someone please tell me when did they start giving one side of a Chile ? Only the top was a chile, the cheese was cold and the bottom was only the batter. What happened to the food ? El torito's has always been a favorite of mines but no longer !!! Avoid this place at all costs. I Have never liked El Tomaineo, but the group I work with had a Friday night get-together there and I went unwillingly. I wish I had stayed home. I ordered a beef nachos platter. What a rip!. The beef was canned stew meat. It was over-cooked. The chips were burnt. It was the worst plate of crap I have ever seen at a restaurant. My hubby's favorite restaurant in the AV. Not my favorite but it's ok. Sometimes they try too hard with the party vibe. Margaritas are yummo and really don't tast like you're drinking any alcohol (be careful they can catch up with you quick). Their food is good but kind of oddly spiced. They do have delicious little corn cakes they serve on the side. Kind of weird decor as well. read more

The food tasted like they just pulled it out of the freezer and microwaved it. Also, the service was excruciatingly slow. But because it was so slow they gave us free fried ice cream. That was nice. But it didn't make up for the bad meal. We won't be going back. read more

I will give them one star just because the server that I had was pregnant and she couldn't move that fast but for the rest!! We receive the worst service I have ever received in my life last night. It took 15 minutes for somebody to come take our drink and appetizer order. It took another 30 to receive our drinks which one of them was missing and the server didn't even know what it was so we had to reorder it and wait another 15 minutes for it. We waited 45 minutes for appetizers at which time we had to ask the person making our guacamole could we order from him our dinner and he said you have to order from the server so we asked him to send them back. That took another 15 minutes before he came. At that point we just asked to order our food to go and get the check and waited another 30 minutes with our food to go. We ended the night not eating dinner at the restaurant being there for almost 2 hours and spending $80 to do it. So so bad. read more

Two of us went for lunch here today. We were there at noon and there were very few customers. That always is a sign that food isn't that good. I had the chicken fajitas and other person ate a chicken burrito. My fajitas came with rice and pinto beans. The beans were okay but a very small serving. The rice was very dry. The chicken had a nice flavor but a overcooked. The vegetables were grilled and very tasty. There wasn't a lot of chicken on the platter for $15. The other diner ate a chicken burrito with rice and refried beans. Said it was very good. The chips were a little thick and I was not crazy about the salsa. I do have a tendency to base mexican restaurants on their salsa. Service was great and meal came quickly, I don't think I will ever eat here again, but if for what ever reason I do, I will order a salad or something they can't mess up. After the air show we stopped by to eat...After they sat us down they took forever to take our drink and food order...And the restaurant wasn't busy... The first server we had not only took long but didn't bother to look our way... She Was too busy chatting and laughing with the employees in the kitchen. My mom and I are regulars here. We love to order the Tableside Guacamole! SABRINA is hands down one the best waitresses in this town! You can usually find her working in the bar, but on Wednesday's she rocks it solo for a private group of 30-50. If you can, request her as your waitress! My family and I where seated. 15 minutes later we where still waiting for a waiter. My husband had to go to the hostess and notify her we where still waiting for service. I'm not the one to give out bad reviews if I have nothing nice to say I don't say anything but today I'm very frustrated and upset... we are a Party of 4 we walk in and they greet us politely, it only takes about two minutes to get seated, unfortunately ITS HOT and no shade we understand there is limited seating and we ain't no karen so we wait until someone comes to ask to be moved somewhere else the only available place is the tent, ok no problem let's go to the tent. We get there and wait, no drinks no chips no one around still ok because again we understand, it's now about 30 minutes and we see a couple come in and there is a table available in the shade they get seated and NOT EVEN 2 minutes go by and they get chips and salsa that I'm sorry its not ok.
