This location was absolutely horrible. My family waited for our food for over an hour. Once it came out the food was cold and looked microwaved. The restaurant was not clean that should have been our first red flag. Once the cold stale food came out, I refused to eat and called the manager to come to the table. The manager was so unprofessional didn't even apologize for the poor service. I was appalled by the lack of service. I paid for our drinks which was the only thing that was semi good and stormed out. Never again! Avoid this place at all cost. read more

It has been a LONG time since we have come to El Torito for their brunch...mostly due to cost vs options/quality etc.. well they have completely revamped! I actually like the fact that they serve you now instead of everyone reaching in. Our server Jose P was on it! My bottomless mimosa was always full and he was making sure our plates were cleared right away so we could enjoy more food. He provided us with excellent service eventhough they were extremely busy we felt like valued customers! See ya next week! read more

El Torito - Michelada and Bottomless Mimosa - Mexican Near Me - Cypress, California

We stopped at El Torito in Cypress and Gloria, our server was very friendly and gave us exelente service!!

The Thanksgiving buffet was amazing. Other restaurants' buffets are usually insipid. El Torito's selection brought flavorful & fresh food from a traditional Thanksgiving menu to more traditional Mexican fare. Felipe the manager & Jackie the hostess were amazing. Their service was attentive, fun & kind. The outdoor patios were a great way to enjoy our meals. Best buffet at a restaurant I have ever been to!!! read more

I actually really like this El Torito, surprisingly. I was not a fan of their location on orangethorpe and valley view or the location in the Long Beach Town Center, but this one is so much better. The service, the lunch buffet, and the quality of food you're getting is well worth the price. I really like coming here for the lunch buffet. It's great for those who work in the area because if you only have a limited amount of time for lunch, you can easily get seated, go grab some plates of a variety of food items from their menu from the buffet, eat, and go back to work. The quality of the food items doesn't suffer, despite the variety, and I am so thankful for that. Here are some of my favorite items from the lunch buffet: -Salad (surprisingly, but yes, there's lettuce, tomatoes, tortilla strips, and your choice of dressings, but the most important part is that they have ranch) -enchiladas (if I'm not mistaken they have both chicken and vegetarian ones, and the veggie ones are stuffed full of gooey melted cheese) -corn cake (you can grab as much of this as you want from the buffet, and I'm so thankful for that because that tiny scoop you otherwise get along with your meal is never enough) -tacos (you can build your own and they will come out exactly how you want them) -rice and beans (always flavorful and delicious) I would come here for dinner as well. Obviously the prices are higher than for the lunch buffet, but the quality and freshness of the food is unmistakable. This is definitely one of the better El Torito locations. read more

Authentic, delicious, Mexican cuisine. I came here for a date night with my spouse because we were craving some Mexican food. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and seated. The menu consisted of various different types of each category of food. For example, there were at least 5 different styles of enchiladas to choose from. I got the shrimp enchilada while my husband got the chicken enchilada with the verde sauce. We also ordered desserts. While waiting for our food we were served fresh salsa and chips. You could tell the salsa was very fresh and house made as there was literally a giant piece of bell pepper inside of it (I'm guessing they didn't notice it wasn't chopped up.. haha). Anyways, we absolutely loved the free appetizer! Our enchiladas were also very delicious and spicy! They had this spice to it that really fired up the taste buds. I'm not personally a fan of spicy foods, but it was so good that I could not stop eating it. Overall, I really enjoyed this experience and would recommend anyone who loves Mexican food to come try El Torito if you haven't already. They have various plates to order or a choice to have a buffet on Tuesdays for taco tuesdays. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I ended up getting the wrong dessert. Our server was very apologetic though and even offered the dessert for free next time. Great customer service for that! read more

We tried Cypress El Torito, last week, after a rude experience a few years back, when they refused to honor an advertised promotion. I loved the Santa Monica El Torito, so I really wanted to give it another try here. Unfortunately, again, we had a horrible experience at Cypress El Torito. We waited an hour for our food, and the food definitely looked like it had been sitting for an hour. The cheese had hardened and the plates looked small and unappealing. The manager was apologetic, but we ended up just leaving. read more

Their website states curbside pick up is available but when you order it and go get it; the restaurant says no curbside is available. If it is not available please update your site. There is no way to use gift cards for an online order through their site. There were bones in the burrito. Same filling from burrito was in kids meal for a toddler so they won't be eating it. read more
