Taco Masa is bomb some of the freshest and authentic flavors and cleanest ingredients ever

Tacoma's is one of my favorite places to go. Their tacos are always good and the staff are always kind.

A Wonderful Surprise at Tacomasa in Cypress Today, I was driving through Cypress and was actually in the mood for seafood. Then, for whatever reason, I noticed Tacomasa on Katella Avenue. The restaurant looked beautiful, clean, and inviting from the outside, so I decided to take a chance and walk in. I ordered a steak burrito, and honestly, I can say without exaggeration that it was one of the most fantastic and delicious burritos I have ever tasted in my 40 years of living in the United States! The flavor was incredible, and I truly enjoyed every bite. After I placed my order and was given a number, I sat down at my table. A wonderful woman named Stephanie brought my food to me. I couldn't help but notice her beautiful smile and her genuinely warm and pleasant personality. Her kindness added something special to the whole experience. Sometimes you walk into a restaurant simply because you're hungry, and you leave thinking, "Wow, I discovered a special place today." That is exactly how I felt leaving Tacomasa. Thank you to the entire Tacomasa team for such a wonderful experience, and a special thank-you to Stephanie for making my visit even more enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back! Food was 3 stars Cleanliness was 1 star I have had the catering trays from this place several times and they have always been good so I was excited to try it in person. Unfortunately the state of this location is pretty poor. Doors were wide open our entire time there letting flies in and the AC out. It's 90+ out. The tables were filthy. The location wasn't busy, so I wiped them down. The wipes I brought in from my car were black after. When's the last time they cleaned the tables? When we were eating the girl "cleaning" was just pushing in chairs. No wipe down of anything. Every guest we saw (the place was 20% capacity) trying to find a clean table to sit at. If that's the customer area you gotta wonder what's acceptable in the kitchen?? A good burrito was ruined because they scooped in tons of watery beans. The asada was soggy because of it. Unless that's how they make it here? I have had burritos all my life and I can't remember the last time in 30 years I had one that leaked all over from bean juice. Taco was solid because it wasn't filled with bean juice. Food was decent but good enough to be cleaning tables and swatting away flies during your meal. Hopefully the Brea location is better. I'll try that next. Feels like no one working at Cypress that day cares at all. read more

I prefer the tacos.. the ambience is good (small) I know it's really hot out but leaving the doors open there is plenty of flies soooo annoying. This place is so good. The tortillas are fantastic. My favorite items are the bean and cheese with rice burrito and the chicken tacos. The cheese quesadilla is up there too. The rice and beans are consistently good and complement the taco meal. Oh, and the horchata is also totally worth it. I've only had takeout, but there are tables to sit if dining in. The meat (adoboda and asada) was so flavorful! The people were friendly and allowed me to sample before I purchased. It was great. Also their all you can drink includes their agua Fresca with multiple flavors. Highly recommended. read more

The various meats were flavorful, asada was smokey. Probably liked the adobada the best, but I am partial to al pastor. The torta bread was nice, but I wished it had a refried bean spread. Saw the place has lengua. Came in and got the taco combo plate. Fast service and staff is friendly. Disappointed with the lengua. No taste at all. So bland like it's just boiled in water. A coworker recommended Tacomasa, so I decided to give it a try. Boyfriend and I went and as soon as we walked in, Jacob greeted us. He asked if it was our first time and we said yes. He immediately offered samples of their meat and we opted to try their chicken and asada. I prefer the asada but both were seasoned well. After, he went above and beyond and handed us a cup so we could try all of their drinks! The service alone is 5 stars! Angel took our order, and my boyfriend ordered the carne asada burrito and I ordered the carne asada taco plate. Both meals were good. We tried the medium salsa which was a little too spicy so we will try a different one next time. Overall, good service and food. We will definitely return. read more

I love TACOMASA! I love it so much I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet, haha. 5 out of 5 stars for sure. The burritos, the elote, the tacos which you can request pineapple with the adobada so bomb also free grilled peppers, the quesadillas, and my fave carne asada nachos are all FIRE. We ordered 4 catering boxes for a baby shower. We had about 65 guests and it was great! Ordering online was easy, the food was ready on time, and everyone loved it. I loved that it came with enough salsa and guacamole. The only thing I wish we had ordered extra of was rice and beans. The amount in the boxes was limited but the amount of meat, salsa, and guacamole was perfect. Solid taco spot! It was a short walk from my hotel and I'm glad I made the walk. It's a good size restaurant with large tv screens and plenty of seating. Decor-open kitchen, large TV screens, and cool cultural pictures on the wall. It's bright and clean inside. Service-very friendly staff. They flexed on me couple times and they seem very happy to work there. Food-large tacos. I ordered the Quesataco Trio. Two of Al Pastor and one of Tripa. They were big tacos packed with meat and loaded with gooey cheese. The chips were freshly fried and the guacamole was very creamy. Just left this place 5 min ago. First time here. And boy was it terrible. Smh ‍. Young lady at the register was very nice but my carne asada tacos were cold. Both the tortilla and meat. Also. My chicken taco was raw. I threw it away. I was going to complain but I'm beyond exhausted after a hard days work and honestly did not have the energy. Zero stars if I could. Everything was cold. Also important to note that I paid 21 dollars for 3 tacos and a small drink. Not worth it. Also. Salsas were extremely salty with no flavor. Only thing that was good was the guacamole. Tacomasa is a total gem! From the moment I walked in I knew this place was going to be good but wow it completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the lengua taco and the Abadaba pork taco and both were bursting with flavor. The meat was tender, seasoned to perfection, and paired so well with their fresh tortillas. Each bite felt like it was made with care. I also tried the elote corn and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly grilled, creamy, and full of that rich smoky flavor that makes you want to order another one right away. I could not help but notice the burritos coming out for other tables and they looked massive and mouthwatering so you can bet that is on my list for next time. The service here is excellent. The workers are super friendly, always ready to help, and they keep things moving fast without ever making you feel rushed. You can tell they truly care about making sure every customer leaves happy. Now I have to talk about the cucumber lime drink. It is honestly one of the best drinks I have ever had at a taco spot. So fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. I could not stop refilling my cup three times to be exact and no shame at all. It is the perfect complement to the bold flavors of the food. Tacomasa is not just a place to grab a quick bite. Everybody knows that if I'm at a Mexican food joint, then I'm going to place a whole order for the fattest plate of loaded up with whatever and lettuce carne asada fries on the menu. I ordered the carne asada fries, and I waited for the order, and I waited for my date to arrive. Staff made certain the food arrived quickly. Not a big challenge because I was pretty, pretty much the only person in the Tacomasa that particular evening--until she arrived. The texture of the carne asada fries stole the show flavor wise. Not too soft; the right amount of breaded or fried crunch waiting in each bite. The toppings did not disappoint; they were nowhere near as good as a deep kiss in a parking lot that seems to last for hours. Thank you Tacomasa for being the first place my GF and I kissed. Your later business hours made that possible, and I cannot really separate the memories of my second date from the dining experience at Tacomasa. Way to luck out with 5 stars. read more

This place is a Taco-oddity. It has no business hitting this hard. Fresh made tortillas, their Adobada is actually Al Pastor on the spit. Most places call their Adobada Al Pastor which is not. Al Pastor is a cooking technique not a flavor. Their Aguas Frescas were good, place is super clean and inviting. Legit did not think their food would taste so good. I also tried the Jamaica Taco. Def for the vegetarians, but might taste off for carnivores haha Its shredded hibiscus plant marinated in the Adoboada mix. Has a nice consistency its not too weird. But just a one-timer for me. This is a great taco masa! I've never had a taco I didn't like here. The salsa's fresh and the drinks are cold. Service is quick, nice seating outside, and parking is easy. Currently there are 4 Tacomasa locations across LA County and OC as of June 2025. Tacomasa specializes in Tijuana style tacos and all tortillas are freshly made in-house. [Parking]: Easy and free plaza parking. [Ordering]: I was so surprised when the cashier first asked 'would you like to sample any meats?' - I can't even remember the last time I got to sample any meats at a taco shop. Customers can also order via the self-ordering kiosks. [Ambiance]: Plenty of indoor tables and the shop is super clean. 5 TVs were mounted within the taco shop and I could hear Spanish music playing in the background. [Menu]: Asada (steak) and adobada (pork) tacos are top two Yelp highlighted items. Customers can order a combo which is two tacos, rice, beans, and a small drink for $12.95. They also sell mulitas, vampiros, quesadillas, burritos, tortas, fries/chips, and elote. No alcohol is served here. *** Asada taco + adobada taco (cebolla, cilantro, guacamole, salsa - $4.95 each): Everything about these tacos tasted amazing - I sampled both meats and talked about love at the 1st bite. Huge taco portion, flavorful and juicy meats, guacamole = chef's kiss, and amazing mild + spicy salsa. Elote or corn on the cob (mayonesa, mantequilla, queso cotija, Tajin, salsa valentina - $6.50): While corn tasted super fresh, the seasoning was not my cup of tea as it had a strong salty, sour, and spicy taste mostly from Tajin. *** These tacos are somewhat expensive comparing with street tacos, but I think they are worth every penny as these are some of the best tacos I have had in LA County / OC.
