Usually the butter or compote is sub-standard, and I usually feel like I should've gotten something different. Silver Dollar Pancake House makes some majestic Swedish crepes. Yes, it's more of a cranberry than a lingonberry, but otherwise the compote and Swedish butter are spot-on. The crepes came out nice and thin, but still super flavorful. Everything came together so great. Even the fact the special comes with six sausages after you switch out the bacon is amazing. I would get this deal over and over again. The service at the counter was frenzied and focused. Every time I needed my coffee refilled, the server was on it. The food came quickly and there were frequent check-ins. It's literally everything you could want in customer service at a counter. Yes, the ambiance is bit crowded and a bit hectic. I don't envy trying to get a seat in the dining room because everything is but cramped up in there. That being said, I don't think anyone waited longer than fifteen minutes and folks seemed genuinely glad to be there. It's the price you pay for eating at a popular breakfast spot with breakfast entrees this delicious. Plus, eating at the counter always seemed open. And from someone who hates eating at counters most of the time, that's saying a lot that I would suggest it as a viable option. Overall, this is the dream place for those like Tara who can't get enough of pancakes and a damn good option for those like me who are content to keep their amateur status intact by only occasionally indulging in the Swedish signature dish.

By that point, the other couple at our table was almost finished eating. Our server mentioned that he had only started working there the week before, so I don't want to put all of the blame on him. He was clearly still learning. However, this is also where I would expect the restaurant to step in when something goes wrong. What really bothered me was that when we received the bill, there was absolutely no acknowledgment of what had happened--no apology, no adjustment, nothing. Mistakes happen, and we weren't looking for a free dinner. But when a simple request is missed, your meal has to be remade, and you're left waiting while everyone else at the table is eating, a little acknowledgment from management would go a long way. Overall, the food and drinks were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the delays, the service issues, and the lack of any recognition of what happened took away from what could have been a much better experience.

What happened at this establishment raises serious concerns about food quality, customer service, and, most importantly, the attitude of the person running the business. During our meal, I discovered what appeared to be a bug in my food. Naturally, I brought this to our waitress's attention, expecting some concern, an apology, or at least an effort to address the situation. Instead, the waitress responded with absolutely no empathy or concern. She simply stated that she had no control over the situation and would get the owner. Her tone and demeanor were completely dismissive, as though finding a possible insect in a customer's meal was nothing worth being concerned about. Unfortunately, things only got worse when the owner arrived. Rather than acknowledging our concern or making any meaningful attempt to resolve the situation, the owner insisted it wasn't a bug and told us that if we didn't like it, we could leave. But what he said next was even more disturbing. The owner proceeded to tell us that he wasn't there for "give outs" and made comments about not accepting EBT customers for this very reason. Let me be perfectly clear: We never presented an EBT card, never mentioned government assistance, and never asked for free food or money. We were paying customers who simply brought a legitimate food-quality concern to the restaurant's attention. Why would an owner immediately associate a customer complaint with EBT recipients or people looking for handouts? The assumptions and apparent prejudice behind those remarks were astonishing. What should have been a simple opportunity to address a food complaint turned into an unnecessarily hostile and degrading encounter. And that's what makes this experience so troubling. Finding what appeared to be a bug in my food was concerning enough. But watching both an employee and the owner demonstrate such a complete lack of empathy, accountability, and professionalism was arguably worse. Restaurants make mistakes. Food preparation isn't perfect. But customers should be able to raise concerns without being dismissed, insulted, or subjected to inappropriate assumptions about their financial circumstances. The owner sets the standard for the entire establishment, and based on what I experienced today, that standard is deeply disappointing. I genuinely question how an establishment can expect to maintain the public's trust when a food-quality complaint is handled with this level of hostility and disregard. I encourage prospective customers to consider this experience before choosing to dine here. No customer should have to tolerate this kind of treatment simply for questioning what was served on their plate. I will never return to GoodFellas Cafe, and based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I visited this restaurant on April 10, 2026, around 5:30 PM, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to what appeared to be significant staffing shortages and poor management. From the moment I arrived, there was a long line of people waiting to be seated, yet there was no hostess at the front desk to manage the flow. It created confusion and frustration right away, and set the tone for the rest of the visit. Once inside, it was clear the staff was overwhelmed. There were long wait times just to be acknowledged, and service remained slow throughout the entire meal. Employees seemed stressed and overextended--not due to lack of effort, but because there simply weren't enough people working or proper direction from management. Orders took an unusually long time to arrive, and there were noticeable issues with coordination with part of my order left out. When the food finally came out, it was extremely salty, especially the chicken tortilla soup, which made it difficult to enjoy and added to the overall disappointment. The atmosphere felt chaotic rather than welcoming, and the entire experience reflected a lack of proper planning and oversight. Management needs to ensure there is an adequate number of staff scheduled, especially during busy hours, and improve organization to avoid situations like this. Not busy in Tuesday 2/9. I went with a group of friends. Just a party of 8. Got seated at a booth (tight fit). Asked to be seated somewhere else. They were moving us to the bar, and each of us would have our own chair but the table was too small! The booth table was longer. They did add one more table so we would have more space. Only part of our group got a chance to look at the menu (since they were seated first ). Our waitress took a long while to come take our order and we inform that we will order our drinks but we need menus brought to part of the group. They did eventually bring them and we placed our order. 2 of us ordered the same entree (1800 flaming fajitas, which were delicious ) but one was ordered with flour tortillas and one with corn tortillas. They only brought corn tortillas for both. We ask the waitress to exchange the tortillas... that didn't happen. Did our waitress even check on us after that, no. The meal was finished and the flour tortillas never made it to our table. I'm not usually one to complain so we left it at that. Were they short staffed that night? From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly hospitable wearing a warm and bright smile, great energy, and she made us feel right at home. Her communication was spot on; she explained options clearly, answered questions cheerfully, and just had this positive, upbeat personality that brightened the whole experience. Been eating at this El Torito for about 1 year now, food is great new bar tender Jaylyn is great, she just got hired on in December 2025. Has a great friendly personality for this type of restaurant. I've notice Jaylyn is a very hard worker in the short time I've known her. More customer service businesses need great out going workers with great work ethics like Jaylyn. I'm pretty sure if she leaves, I'll probably stop coming to this particular restaurant. I'm retired and eat out everyday. We all work hard for our earnings no matter what field we're in. Whatever This particular employee Jaylyn is getting per hour is not enough. I feel that great hard working employees no matter what position in their field she be paid fairly. There's nothing worst then losing a great employee to another competitor because the present employer took that particular employee for granted. I recently visited El Torito Mexican Cuisine and was blown away by the delicious food and friendly atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and promptly seated at a cozy booth. I made a reservation a month in advance for Mother's Day brunch at 10:30 AM. I arrived at 10:20 AM to check in, but after waiting around, I hadn't received any text updates. By 10:40 AM, I followed up with the front reception and was told our table had been given away to someone else. After speaking with the manager, we were finally seated at 11:10 AM. The biggest issue here was that I had 8 kids with me, and the extended wait made the experience pretty frustrating. Once we were seated, I went to get some food, but the brunch area was messy, and many of the food trays were empty. It took a while for them to replenish the items, which added to the disappointment. However, once the food was restocked and everyone settled in, the rest of the brunch experience was fine. While I understand busy days like Mother's Day can be chaotic, the waiting and lack of communication could definitely be improved. If it weren't for the frustrating wait, I would've rated it higher. read more

We are so used to having it at home w/family and friends but due to circumstances both sides of our family were out of state, which didn't allow us to celebrate together. We are regulars at this location which is the one on griffin way, we like to come here because usually everybody is friendly and nice and we get great service. But for our surprise that did not happen Saturday night (01/24/15) we came like usual for Cadillac margaritas and a nice dinner... This server MARTHA gave us the worst service we've ever had in our life.. She is just rude not attentive seems she was on a rush to get us out of there... Needed refills and we were trying to get her attention but she was on her phone, Honestly I feel today was such a horrible experience I don't know if I would want to go back again because I don't want to get that kind of treat.
