Went for brunch today. I got my new go to favorite the pick 2 benedicts. I got the golden state and tried a new one the sope benedict. The sope was a little tough, but the toppings were great. My home fries were over cook and cold. It was like eating potato chips. I let the server know and she kindly got me new ones that were nice and hot. Connie was very friendly and attentive. She made the experience very pleasant. Side note for management ladies restroom. 2 stalls one of them has no lock. I don't know how long its been that way, but it been like that when I last visited a few months ago.

It really comes down to service and food taste. For me, both were underwhelming. Our server, Ricardo during a late morning, early afternoon visit this past Sunday, disappeared for most of our meal. He didn't check on our table once the food arrived. I literally had to flag him down. I had to do the same thing to close out, sadly. The presentation of the food was a little sloppy and the iced matcha leans towards very sweet. Our meals were decent. The menu does offer a ton of brunch item variety but I would be prepared for a diner like experience

Our plans finally made it out of the group chat and we met up for breakfast at The Broken Yolk in Corona. I try to read Yelp reviews and check out pictures before trying a new spot, so I was a bit nervous about long waits or rude service. I'm happy to report my experience was the opposite. Even though half of our party was late, the host still seated us right away. We chose to meet at 9:00 am to beat the crowds. We were catching up so I knew it was going to be a long breakfast. I appreciate that we were not rushed or had the death stare to leave. But we were mindful of the crowd and got up to leave when we saw there were a lot of people waiting. I didn't try anyone else's food, so I'll stick to my plate: Green chilaquiles with eggs over medium. If you've read my other reviews you know I'm picky about eggs, but these were cooked to perfection--not runny. The carne asada portion was generous. My only wish would be a bit more sauce on my dish. The one negative thing I can say is we chose this place because the website has a join the waitlist button. We thought to be safe we should join on the drive there. Well it doesn't work so don't be fooled. Lucky for us it was not needed but I can see why for others it could be frustrating. Overall, the staff was friendly, the coffee was solid, and the conversations were flowing! Definitely worth another visit to explore more on the menu.

Good was Amazing as always every time we come to Broken Yolk cafe. Love all the breakfast options. We were extremely satisfied with our food, everything was very flavorful. The waiters and hostess were extremely nice and brought our food out promptly. The Cafe atmosphere is always welcoming and love the different seating options they have. We love sitting in the booths. Truly one of our favorite restaurant/ cafe to eat breakfast & brunch. We'll be back soon to enjoy The excellent brunch once again.

    lemon ricotta pancakes

The food is amazing!! I loved the lemon ricotta pancakes and the kings hawaiian french toast. the hash browns are perfectly crispy and the bacon, sausage, and eggs were delicious as well. The crispy french toast was good but had a slight artificial taste from the fruit sauce on top. I also got a pomegranate mimosa that wasn't super strong but was very tasty. Our server Ricardo was very kind and efficient. We were in and out in about 45 minutes on a Thursday afternoon. It's cute and cozy inside as well. We were only one of 5 tables which confused me but may be attributed to the high price point. Everything is on the steeper side, especially beverages. I went with the brunch on the smaller side menu for only 11.95 though and that was a great bang for your buck. Overall we had a great meal and will be back :)

Unduly cooked pancakes. Raw batter leaking out

Placed a pickup order and ordered the lemonade at 8.25, just for it to be handed to me in a kids sized cup and when I questioned it they said that's the cup it comes in for all their juices. Like what kind of ridiculousness is that, also the blueberry pancake stack wasn't even fully cooked in the center, still leaking raw batter. If that's the way they cook even there to go orders and overcharge on their drinks I will not be coming back.

It's best to go right when they open if you want to beat the weekend rush! I came with my family on a Sunday morning and was lucky enough to be seated right away. A line started to form maybe about 20 minutes after. It's your typical breakfast joint. Our server was nice. He kept checking in on us and refilling our coffee cups. The food came out pretty fast. I ordered an Iced Latte and the Meat Lover's Skillet. We also ordered the Sweet Trio to share amongst the table. The latte was okay. I typically like my coffee on the stronger side. It was a bit watered down to me. Probably wouldn't get it again. The skillet on the other hand was tasty. I enjoyed the sweet trio because you get to taste a little bit of everything. We couldn't decide between french toast and pancakes so this was perfect!

WARNING: Do NOT expect this location to meet an of the Broken Yolk standards. Per our waitress, they are franchised and they follow the Broken Yolk standards "half and half". ----------- I'm feeling so flustered by this experience that I'm writing this review as I got into my car. We walked in and there was no Broken Yolk long wait which should've been a tell all. 1: The Mimosa Flight and Bloody Mary Flights have more tomato juice and juice than actual alcohol. Spare yourself the $19 and just drink water. Their flights are NOT made the Broken Yolk way. I was also advised that they cannot remake them because they're "premade/pre-measured". We returned our drinks. I'm not paying $19 for juice with a splash of mimosa. 2: Chilaquiles - The most disgusting form of chilaquiles ever in existence. I'm sorry, but it's junk. It's disgusting. It tastes and looks like risotto. My daughter was kind enough to eat it because she doesn't have the gull to express her disdain. (Photo attached) 3: The machaca was good. The green salsa was good. The rice was microwaved and was hard and plastic'ey. The beans, definitely from a can. The waitress said they're made "fresh", but I'm old enough to know what "fresh" rice tastes like. 4: Crepes: Definitely still raw and not fully cooked. The service was good, the food was a total disaster. I appreciate the waitress giving us a discount for the terrible beans and rice, but that gesture doesn't make up for the $110 we just spent. Never again. Do yourself a favor and go to the real Broken Yolk in Rancho. Do not expect the Broken Yolk standard here.

    Chilaquiles Bowl

Visited on a Sunday morning and was fortunate enough to beat the rush for brunch! Inside the atmosphere was that of a casual breakfast spot. We were greeted when we walked in and seated right away. The service was great and we got our food in a decent amount of time! I have been to another location and I think I just didn't like the menu item I ordered. But this time I tried the Chilaquiles Bowl and it was pretty good! I actually enjoyed it and it had good flavor. I would give it a 4/5! I decided to try the iced latte as well. It was a bit too sweet for me and seemed watered down. I like my coffee on the strong side so I probably wouldn't order that again.

I'm lucky to be an assistant to people that need rides for doctors appointments and stuff. I was waiting for them in the doctors and I got to come here for breakfast. It was delicious. The service was perfect. It was really quiet inside. I couldn't believe it. I signed up for the email club and I plan on coming back soon. All good

By far my favorite location, I love that they have so many options on their menu. I prioritize coming here when I'm in the area. Staff is always so friendly. We usually order a full bottle for mimosa and have a great time. Benedicts Choose Two- great for indecisive people and want to try more items. I usually choose this when I'm feeling benedict. Chilaquiles Bowl- come fully loaded and I love that. Tortilla comes out crispy and drenched in sauce, who doesn't love a saucy chilaquiles? I prefer green sauce and theirs is great. I always choose shredded chicken and it's never dry. Omelets are great, they're huge and flavorful. Their omelets have never disappointed.

For the main meal, I had crab stuffed ravioli, and my wife had the steak beef bowl, which was enormous and could easily be shared with two people. The ravioli was excellent. The sauce was excellent. The flavor and the subtle sweetness of the crab shined through. My wife's steak bowl was also amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth tender. A very subtle heat in the seasoning from red chili, I believe. Chefs kiss. Our server was amazing and I feel horrible for not remembering her name, the woman who was working the front area was helpful and knowledgeable and just very welcoming. A special bonus was the old school 50s and 60s music. My mom would have loved it. This place is a definite guarantee for anyone who enjoys great quality food. We will be there again. My wife ends up getting the same tot scramble every time because of how good it is and I think it's amongst the best things of their menu. A few negatives this time: - asked for an empty plate and was given one that was pretty dirty (almost noticeably dirty) and had leftover food on the side of it from last use. - the price has become a little much. I'd like to see the prices go down about 25% and it would be perfect. - added cheese to my eggs and in my opinion, it could have been a bit more cheese on it. - not much a negative but more a personal preference. The waffle I got had almost too much butter on it. Again, not a negative, and I could have just put half of it to the side, but almost every bite ended up with too much butter. That's my fault. Other than these few things, very enjoyable and I would come back. I loved the bacon and my wife's farm skillet. Last time we came they gave us an envelope to use next time for a surprise discount. I would like to see more of that going forward to fix the price issue.

Next thing I know, the manager Clark comes over and tells me he wants to take the pot pie off my bill. I told him that it wasn't necessary, that I did eat some of it and I should pay for it.
