Fantastic brunch spot! The place is large, the staff is friendly, and the food & drinks are tasty. I'm a huge fan of Eggs Benedict and they have such a great array of options. I love the choose two, where you can try two different types of them at once. Delicious bloody Mary's and mimosas. Michelada was alright. Depending on what time you go, there may be a bit of a wait but it's usually worth it. There's not much for ambiance, but it's clean. I will say that some of the fruit n veggies (mainly in the bloody Marys) has been a bit gross recently. And the home fries aren't great. Otherwise, pretty solid. read more

The food was just okay. I ordered the salmon avocado toast with a side of eggs, and the eggs were cooked wrong multiple times. I asked for over medium, but they kept bringing them out over easy. The waitress seemed bothered by the correction, and on the final attempt the eggs were overcooked. At that point, I just accepted it. My wife and I agreed we'll eat at home next time. Do NOT order from here on Uber Eats, my order was over an hour late and the app stated it was due to the restaurant. My courier also waited saying my food was done late. My iced chai arrived completely melted becuase it sat and was extremely diluted by all the melted ice as though they made my drink and just left it till the food was done. my chilaquiles were SOGGY, COLD & my eggs were so cold the yolk solidified even though it was supposed to be runny. The eggs Benedict also arrived cold and inedible. Over all do not order delivery from here. With fees it was about $70, prior to that the food alone was about $60 and it was definitely not worth it. Went for brunch today. I got my new go to favorite the pick 2 benedicts. I got the golden state and tried a new one the sope benedict. The sope was a little tough, but the toppings were great. My home fries were over cook and cold. It was like eating potato chips. I let the server know and she kindly got me new ones that were nice and hot. Connie was very friendly and attentive. She made the experience very pleasant. Side note for management ladies restroom. 2 stalls one of them has no lock. It really comes down to service and food taste. For me, both were underwhelming. Our server, Ricardo during a late morning, early afternoon visit this past Sunday, disappeared for most of our meal. He didn't check on our table once the food arrived. I literally had to flag him down. I had to do the same thing to close out, sadly. Our plans finally made it out of the group chat and we met up for breakfast at The Broken Yolk in Corona. I try to read Yelp reviews and check out pictures before trying a new spot, so I was a bit nervous about long waits or rude service. I'm happy to report my experience was the opposite. Even though half of our party was late, the host still seated us right away. We chose to meet at 9:00 am to beat the crowds. We were catching up so I knew it was going to be a long breakfast. I appreciate that we were not rushed or had the death stare to leave. But we were mindful of the crowd and got up to leave when we saw there were a lot of people waiting. I didn't try anyone else's food, so I'll stick to my plate: Green chilaquiles with eggs over medium. If you've read my other reviews you know I'm picky about eggs, but these were cooked to perfection--not runny. The carne asada portion was generous. My only wish would be a bit more sauce on my dish. The one negative thing I can say is we chose this place because the website has a join the waitlist button. We thought to be safe we should join on the drive there. Well it doesn't work so don't be fooled. Lucky for us it was not needed but I can see why for others it could be frustrating. ​I will never return to this Broken Yolk, and I strongly suggest nobody else goes here either. ​Getting a decent table took multiple attempts and constant insistence because staff refused to accommodate us initially. Even worse, despite clearly telling our server about my religious dietary requirements, my eggs arrived mixed with bacon. Cross-contaminating or ignoring explicit religious dietary requests is completely unacceptable. On top of that, they tacked on extra charges for swapping toast to hash browns. It's time to update my review considering that this is one of my family's favorite brunch spots. And the last time I reviewed Broken Yolk was during the pandemic. This is not a fancy place. But it's a place where we walk in and just feel comfortable and welcomed. The booths are comfy. The hospitality is always warm. The coffee always piping hot and refilled constantly. I've been in an omelet phase lately. I've tried the mom, mile high, no name, rancher, and California omelets. You can't go wrong with any of them. They're savory and satisfying with great portions. It's best to go right when they open if you want to beat the weekend rush! I came with my family on a Sunday morning and was lucky enough to be seated right away. A line started to form maybe about 20 minutes after. It's your typical breakfast joint. Our server was nice. He kept checking in on us and refilling our coffee cups. The food came out pretty fast. I ordered an Iced Latte and the Meat Lover's Skillet. We also ordered the Sweet Trio to share amongst the table. The latte was okay. I typically like my coffee on the stronger side. It was a bit watered down to me. Probably wouldn't get it again. The skillet on the other hand was tasty. I enjoyed the sweet trio because you get to taste a little bit of everything. Went with my daughter and family, long wait, servers were overwhelmed but very polite. My biscuit and gravy was hard and my bacon was on the biscuit smothered in gravy and soggy. Spare yourself the $19 and just drink water. Their flights are NOT made the Broken Yolk way. I was also advised that they cannot remake them because they're "premade/pre-measured". We returned our drinks. I'm not paying $19 for juice with a splash of mimosa. 2: Chilaquiles - The most disgusting form of chilaquiles ever in existence. I'm sorry, but it's junk. It's disgusting. It tastes and looks like risotto. My daughter was kind enough to eat it because she doesn't have the gull to express her disdain. (Photo attached) 3: The machaca was good. The green salsa was good. The rice was microwaved and was hard and plastic'ey. The beans, definitely from a can. Visited on a Sunday morning and was fortunate enough to beat the rush for brunch! Inside the atmosphere was that of a casual breakfast spot. We were greeted when we walked in and seated right away. The service was great and we got our food in a decent amount of time! I have been to another location and I think I just didn't like the menu item I ordered. But this time I tried the Chilaquiles Bowl and it was pretty good! I actually enjoyed it and it had good flavor. I would give it a 4/5! I decided to try the iced latte as well. By far my favorite location, I love that they have so many options on their menu. I prioritize coming here when I'm in the area. Staff is always so friendly. We usually order a full bottle for mimosa and have a great time. Benedicts Choose Two- great for indecisive people and want to try more items. I usually choose this when I'm feeling benedict. Chilaquiles Bowl- come fully loaded and I love that. Tortilla comes out crispy and drenched in sauce, who doesn't love a saucy chilaquiles? I prefer green sauce and theirs is great. The food is amazing!! I loved the lemon ricotta pancakes and the kings hawaiian french toast. the hash browns are perfectly crispy and the bacon, sausage, and eggs were delicious as well. The crispy french toast was good but had a slight artificial taste from the fruit sauce on top. I also got a pomegranate mimosa that wasn't super strong but was very tasty. Our server Ricardo was very kind and efficient. We were in and out in about 45 minutes on a Thursday afternoon. It's cute and cozy inside as well. We were only one of 5 tables which confused me but may be attributed to the high price point. Everything is on the steeper side, especially beverages.
