I don't even know where to start. Well, the girls at the door and an older man who I would like to assume is the manager are NOT organized at all. Even if you have a reservation you will wait at least 45 minutes. The server took 20 minutes to get to our table. When he served our drinks we noticed the straws they used at this location are not paper wrapped which means the server grab the straws with his dirty hands and put them into the drinks which is gross. We just moved from Torrance and we used to visit our local El Torito restaurant and we can tell the different on everything from service to food and as soon as we got our food we noticed portions served were smaller, the was different and the service extremely poor. While we were eating for some reason the lady who cleans the table thought it was a good idea to take away my drink without even asking if I was done, they barely serve my food but she took it anyways ‍ . The kids meals offers a do your own Sunday, well that's not how it works here, they give you a pre made mini Sunday. The whole purpose of having a do it yourself is for kids to add the topics however they like but again that's not the case at this location. Sizzling combo and sour cream enchiladas are my two go to dishes. Kiddo likes corn dogs and quesadillas. Mother likes two enchiladas plate beef and chicken- mildly spicy. Salsa also spicy. Beers margaritas and sodas available. Save room for dessert. Chis and salsa are bottomless. My Mexican friends "say" it's not authentic here-- but that's okay-- I like it Americanized. DONT COME DURING A FULL HOUSE! The Back of the house/Cooks can't take a full house! They do not read the tickets and will not adhere to what you want! I am a vegetarian for the last 10 years due to health problems, I came in with my family and my order was taken by a very sweet girl. She wrote our orders down and confirmed multiple times there would be no meat on the taco I ordered. We proceeded to wait 15 minutes for our drinks from the bar, which consisted of a glass michelob bottle and a cucumber cocktail, then proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for our food. When I got my food I ate some of my sides and my Enchilada before taking a bite into my taco. On my second bite I realized my taco was PACKED with EXTRA shredded meat. I immediately felt sick and told the waitress, trying not to make a scene although I have not eaten meat in over a decade! She rushed over, excused me meal and apologized greatly, but proceeded to tell my family she wrote it on the ticket explicitly that there was to be no meat on my taco, and that she had a stern stern conversation with the chefs, who were seemingly not even reading the tickets fully as she proved they ended up seeing the "No Meat!" signed at the bottom. I just am writing to let everyone know that if this restaurant is packed for a game or happy hour, the Chef's get lazy and will not thoroughly read and adhere to requests or modifications. On a less serious note yet still mentionable, they also put tomatoes on my daughter burger after she asked for no tomatoes and even joked with the waitress about their mutual disdain for them. I hadn't been to an El Torito in a long time and was looking forward to an early dinner tonight. I ordered the Fajita Duo Plate with sautéed shrimp and grilled chicken. It was smaller than expected and it didn't come with any limes or bowl of beans like it showed on the menu. I did ask the waitress and she brought us the beans, but we managed without the limes. We ordered a Michelada and a Strawberry Margarita. Both were horrible tasting. The Margarita had no flavor and seemed watered down. The Michelada was worse. There was little to no clamato or tomato juice. It was basically a modelo with ice. One lime (which I also used for the fajitas), and was also very watered down. Of we come here again we will not get the fajitas and definitely no alcohol drinks. Whoever made those drinks needs to learn how to make a proper Michelada and Margarita. I won't be coming here anymore because this was a terrible experience for what was meant to be a nice night. I plan to call corporate Monday morning to see/hear their response... I have been coming to this place with my family, by myself and with my dog (she is a Maltipoo) for a few years now. It was actually one of my favorite places to visit, I usually go once every week or every other week with my dog, friends, family or for business meetings. Before I started bringing my dog with me, I called El Toritos and asked if they allowed dogs. They confirmed that they did after checking with the manager and let me know that I would just have to sit on the patio. Awesome! Since then, I had been coming to this place often, so often that the servers know me and my dog. I am so disappointed and frustrated with how I was treated tonight by one of the managers after I have supported this business for nearly 4 years. His name is Jon Larrazabal and he is actually the Assistant General Manager. While my friend, dog and I were eating, Jon comes out of the restaurant walking very fast and stops in front of us and began yelling that I cannot have my dog here, do I know that I am going to get people sick, dogs are not allowed in his restaurant. He never introduced himself and was very unprofessional. I had to ask who he was and why he was yelling at me instead of calmly explaining what was going on. He asked us to leave, rather than let me say anything, he kept talking over me, putting his hands in my face and laughing. I can't believe this guy is one of the managers of this place. Jon said he did not mind losing a customer because he was that passionate about dogs not being in the restaurant and if anyone told us that I was allowed to bring the dog, they would get in trouble and were wrong. It seemed that the servers and other staff were surprised at his behavior. That was completely unacceptable and unprofessional for a manager to behave this way. It is also very frustrating that he kept insinuating as if I lied about my dog being a service animal when I never said she was, he just assumed. Even when I let him know that I never told the staff or other managers she was, he angrily stated that this means the dog is a pet (duh...) and that as a pet owner, I should know I can't take her in restaurants. There are plenty of businesses/restaurants that allow pets in California and we were on the patio outside where no one else was sitting (the patio is always empty), so I thought this was odd to say. Instead of just calmly/professionally educating the public and a customer about what he prefers to do in the business or a change of policy, he decided to yell, insult customers and kick the customer out the restaurant. When I let him know that his behavior was surprising and unacceptable/unprofessional as a manager, he just responded with "it is unacceptable as a pet owner for you to think it is okay to bring your pet here." I only started bringing my dog because I asked if that was okay. I come every week or every other week to this place with my dog and usually get the same server (she is always very nice). I asked Jon what his first and last name was, and he walked away (unbelievable!). I walked into the restaurant to retrieve his name. He did not make this a priority and walked around the restaurant for 15 minutes before I was provided with his name. I also asked for the number to corporate. I called the number and guess what? The number was wrong! I went back into the restaurant to make sure I was provided the right number and waited another 10 minutes for Jon to provide the right number. I won't be coming here anymore because this was a terrible experience for what was meant to be a nice night. I plan to call corporate Monday to see/hear their response... read more

I've always wanted to come here and try the food. My family decided to come here for my grandpa's birthday We didn't wait the long for seating but we did have reservations to help us not wait long. The food was all really good! We have the Macho combo and was delicious! My brother start ordering us some Cadillac drinks they were freaking strong . On the way to Palm Springs and stopped in for a bite. There was a 10 min wait even though the place looked fairly empty. Ordered a drink (watermelon margarita with fresh watermelon) at the bar that was delicious. We shared the bacon wrapped shrimp and two us ordered a side Mexican Cesar salad.
