This place is pretty busy and the food comes out fast so the quality isn't that great. We ordered and I went to the restroom and our food was out. Per our Airbnb host quality goes down during busy season as they are trying to get people in and out. The flauta was burnt on the ends and it was pretty dry. They said they couldn't do pork in it because it falls out and then I got the pork enchilada which was fine. The fries were terrible they were soggy and didn't taste cooked. My husband got the burrito and he said it was okay.
This place was recommended by the hotel concierge. I should say, this place is good! The service was fast. I noticed they have a lot of staff working from receptionist to waiters. The food came out real hot! The food is good. I ordered the combinaciones biria.. love it. My husband ordered the tacos, he was impressed too. The place is family-oriented!
This Mexican restaurant is a solid choice for a casual meal. The food is flavorful and satisfying, with classic dishes done well. Tacos, enchiladas, and sides hit the mark, and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive. Not the fanciest spot in town, but definitely dependable for a tasty Mexican meal.
Great spot in Page. I'd say food options are slim in this town. Service was great, food was delicious. Their michelada is solid. It's a clean convenient spot.
I never do written reviews for restaurants as in my opinion it takes too long and the chances it will be read are slim, this restaurant gave me a reason to write a review. I went here based on a recommendation and took my mom and sister thinking we were getting authentic Mexican food (we're from Virginia). Overall the service was mediocre, nothing to cry or gleam about. The quality of the food was meh, but for the price it was horrendous, especially the meal for 2 which was around 54 dollars. Tacos were greasy and just met the edible level. The reason for the one star is due to the tip issue found in the pictures. They automatically included the tip in the total price and then expected us to tip based on that, essentially meaning you could leave a tip of around 40%!!! The quality and service is maybe 3 stars, but this shady tactic to target tourist is unacceptable. Really shameful on a business aspect.
I almost wasn't going to leave a review but decided I should at least give my opinion to warn others... the reviews on yelp seemed solid enough to try this place. Everything was less than mediocre at best. Chips: very stale. Salsa: way too much cilantro (and I like cilantro). Then I order something simple, Veggie Enchiladas. It was composed completely of frozen veggie mix (string beans, lima beans, cauliflower, carrots, etc)! Think high school cafeteria quality. I had almost ordered Veggie Fajitas. I wonder if they would have just dumped this mix into a skillet! The best thing on the plate was the rice. Service was fast but... scolding hot plate (not warm) was merely dropped off at my table without mentioning this. I found this out when I tried to move it. Ouch! Really no reason for it to be this hot. I was never checked on. I don't usually care about this (I'll ask if I need something) but other waiters seemed to be attentive to other tables. I did finally ask another waiter for my check. Lastly, middle of the night wake-up call and my stomach tolerates most things.
Carne asada plate was delicious! Free chips with salsa. Lots of food for one order so shared it with the wife. There is a misleading sign next to the table that states that you will have 3% deducted from bill if paying cash. It also states that 3% will be added if paying card. However, they charged me full price with nothing deducted from the bill when I paid cash. The server was aware of this as it looks like everyone points it out to him every time. So be aware you will not be getting 3% deducted when paying cash.
(2/5) We stopped in hoping for some great Mexican comfort food, but the nachos left us a little disappointed. While there was plenty of cheese, it was way too much -- almost smothering everything else. There were barely any beans & not enough tomatoes for my personal liking, so the flavor ended up being kind of flat and one-dimensional. The salsa was just okay -- almost mild with only a tiny hint of heat. Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was friendly and the kitchen got the order right, which we appreciated. Overall, not terrible, but not a place we'd go back to for nachos. Overall, place is festive but cold use a deep cleaning.
3.5: first time in Page and not a bad place for a meal, with a large selection but not cheap prices and lackluster but relatively quick service. It looks a bit like a fast food place from the outside but it's a step up from there. They give you chips and salsa complimentary. The veggie quesadilla was "ok" but I didn't care that much since I was hungry: the filling was kind of spotty and the tortillas were a little hard. The steak tortillas were also ok. Service was quick but seemed disinterested, which again wasn't that important if you're just looking for food. If I lived in this area, I don't think I would return regularly but haven't tried anything else in Page either. Close to Antelope Canyon tours.
Disappointed. This was recommended by hotel employees and trip advisor. It was not a good experience. I was met by a nice host and the wait staff was amiable. I was unable to eat in the restaurant. There was a pervasive odor that was extremely unpleasant. My booth was right next to a portable ac unit and was not too far from the restroom. Perhaps the odor emanated from one of those sources. No idea. Trust me. It was bad. I placed an order to go and got out of there as quickly as possible. Upon returning to my hotel, I discovered that no cutlery or napkins were included. I was able to get a set from the hotel bar. I ordered tacos al carbon which came with rice and beans. I also ordered chips and salsa. I do not think the chips are homemade and the salsa was unremarkable. Not spicy or particularly fresh. The rice and beans had no seasoning. Perhaps adding table salt would have helped. But as I took my food to go that was not an option. The tacos were good. The meat was well prepared and the tortillas were tender and wonderful to eat. Again, however, it was under seasoned. There was some type of sauce smeared on the top of the tacos, but the sauce had no taste. They charged $29.00 for three tacos and tasteless rice and beans. I should have left as soon as I smelled the odor. Oh well, live and learn. My rec is to eat elsewhere.
We found this restaurant while visiting Page, AZ. We walked in and were seated right away. They didn't look too busy at that time. The menu is huge and the tables and chairs are very colorful. We were given chips and salsa right away. For entrees, I got the enchilada suiza and my husband got the seafood fajitas. They were both large portions and tasty. The food came out very quickly as well. If you happen to be in Page, I would say this is a good place to try out.
So glad we came here after a very long drive and hiking. The wet burrito and the chimichanga were so good! The portions are very big so definitely great to share!
Mixed Experience at Tapatio - Great Guac, High Prices, and Spotty Service I've visited Tapatio in Page, AZ twice recently with a party of five. Our first visit was generally enjoyable. The fresh guacamole was excellent, and my friends raved about the birria. I ordered the molcajete, but personally didn't care for the flavor profile. Still, the experience was decent overall. The real shock came with the prices. In my opinion, nearly everything on the menu is 25-50% above market value without a noticeable difference in quality. For example, a soft drink costs $4.25 and only includes one refill. One couple in our group--visiting from Europe--suggested we return for a second visit. They don't have a local price reference and aren't as concerned about cost. On our return, the food was similar. Another great $15 bowl of guacamole, and my wife and I split the fajitas for two ($41). A single margarita ran $14. However, service took a major downturn. Our fajitas arrived without tortillas. When I asked, I was told they were on their way. I asked again after a few minutes--same response. Eventually, I turned around and saw seven servers standing around a computer, including ours. My wife finally had to walk to the kitchen herself before the tortillas were brought out. In summary: If you're okay with fairly good food, indifferent service, and inflated prices, this may be the place for you. For me, it was a disappointing return visit and probably our last.

El Tapatio offers delicious Mexican food with generous portions. The service was very friendly and spoke to us in both Spanish and English. We were seated promptly and the food came out pretty quickly, too. The restaurant is colorful and has a lot of painted booth tables and wall decor. It's very lively. The music is cheerful and fun. The guacamole is delicious and has huge chunks of avocado. We loved it but only made it through half of the portion! I had two tacos: the quesabirria and the carnitas. Both were great! My husband had one of the Specials that included chicken, beef and bacon-wrapped shrimp. It was a lot of food, and it was all nicely plated and very tasty. We were super happy with the food and the whole experience! We would definitely recommend eating at El Tapatio. read more

Visited the restaurant after 12 years on its first day of operation! Previous time uploading its first yelp picture of menu. What can I say, nothing had changed.. same good tasty food!!! Good service.. same nice colorful ambiance.. read more
Place was quite busy on a Tuesday night. The decor is very bright and lively. We were seated right away as a party of 5. Bonus points for having a NA beer option! The menu is big and offers lots of options. It is pretty pricey, but at least it's the food was actually pretty good with 2 exceptions. The tripa and the queso fundido app. We ordered: *Shrimp cocktail - very good, like most places...it gets better when you add salt and spice to taste. *oysters - fresh, good taste *campechana tostada - very good and big! No wonder one costs $14 *tripa tacos - disappointed it was mostly fat *queso fundido - VERY runny/greasy plus the only time I've ever ordered it (in US and Mexico where they don't give you tortillas w it) read more
The service alone was 10/10!!! We were seated right away (party of ten). Our server was so nice, funny, and accommodating! The food was amazing! At first we were a little shocked at the prices, but the amount of food you get is insane! So so good! If you're looking for good mexican food in Page, please go here! Free chips and salsa, huge portions, awesome service! read more
This place is definitely the hot spot in this very small town. It was PACKED! When we arrived they told us it was going to be about a 30 min wait, they gave us a buzzer and we went to wait in the car. We were called within 10-15min. As soon as we sat down they already had warm chips and salsa waiting at the table. The waiter quickly took our order and our food was out with 10min. Quickest service I've ever experienced. They were non stop! I ordered the veggie burrito and we had the guacamole for appetizer it was delicious. It's more of a chopped avocado salad which o loved. My husband had the alpastor tacos which he said they were really good. Not pictured but it was a huge plate with rice and beans. If you're visit Page AZ I highly recommend. read more

Since a tour guide in our group recommended this restaurant, I tried this Mexican restaurant. The Enchiladas were delicious. I was glad to eat vegetables. The people who served me the dishes were attentive and kind. The restaurant seemed to be popular and got full around 7 pm. I felt relieved to have decent dishes during my trip. read more
Page, Arizona is a small city that many visit once or twice in their lifetime for the famous Antelope Canyons and the Horseshoe bend. If you come visit then you gotta eat. And when you gotta eat, come hit this place. It's cramped, it's noisy and it serves hella good Mexican food. We got the flaming tapatio that comes with taco plates for two. All were darn tasty and great in portion size. The place got a massive menu selection so you certainly won't be lacking in choices. Services was fast, which is all I ask. Not your cheapest Mexican in the neighborhood but the quality makes it worthy. read more

Here's my rundown Pros: 1. Close to Hyatt Place where we were staying 2. We were seated immediately. 3. Guacamole is delicious 4. Food came out quickly and portions big 5. Friendly staff 6. Colorful place with giant menus Cons: 1. NOT peanut allergy friendly-there are warnings all over the menu and they even use peanut butter in their enchilada sauce, which is odd to us because coming from Texas, we have never experienced this with Tex-Mex, so it was new to us 2. Prices are higher than what you would expect for a restaurant in a town and not a restaurant onsite at a resort. 3. Food was good, not amazing, but the guys finished their plates. As you can see, there are more pros than cons, so maybe it's worth giving it a try, if eating peanuts won't kill you. read more

If there was a 0 star option, I would pick it. I travel the country trying out Mexican joints and this was by far one of, if not the worst I've ever been to. Carne asada tacos came out. They were so greasy I couldn't pick them up for 15 minutes from all the grease being so hot. Shells were soaked and wet from all the grease. Shells were also the cheap soft corn shells you buy at Walmart. Like the exact ones. I finally ate one taco and had to stop there. All the grease was all over my face and just waiting for it to screw my stomach up. I can't believe they even brought out a plate with that much grease on it. Do not recommend. Save your money. read more

Honestly some of the best Mexican food and margaritas I've ever had (and I've had a lot)! The service was amazing, and everyone was super friendly. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but would highly recommend the fajitas and Mexican Molcajete. read more

We wanted to try tacos again while in AZ, so for lunch in Page one day we found this spot. It had good reviews so we thought we'd give it a try. There is plenty of parking and the place had a good number of customers. The decor is bright and colorful, with brightly colored seating benches. The menu has manh options, and the staff is courteous and attentive. Before our tacos, they brought in chips and salsa, along with a kind of slaw to eat with the tortilla chips that was really tasty. That was, in fact, my favorite part of the whole meal. The tacos we ordered (asada) and chicken (we asked specifically because it wasn't on the menu) were average. I could have made a meal with the tortilla chips and the slaw i the photo--it was very good. read more

We visited this place on the 2nd week of December this year. The ambiance was quite praise worthy but not the service. We ordered a guacamole bowl, family size flaming fajita dish, seafood platter, fried ice-cream, and a lime mojito and a sangria, an orange juice. The food standard is quite average. This place gave you a feel of the season for sure. Must go and grab . read more

They menus are so large that they don't fit on the table. There are so many different options. I wish there were more tamale options though. We loved the free chips and salsa. Plates are huge and they're big portions, perfect when you're hungry. If you're not starving, opt to share a plate. The mole was delicious. Asada was cooked and seasoned very well. The service is fast and ambiance is what you'd expect from a Latin restaurant offering giant margaritas. read more

This restaurant is so fun. It's a family owned establishment. There were so many employees on staff. We had a very lovely lady as our server. She was attentive but never intrusive. The menu is huge. The octopus ceviche divine. My husbands burrito was the best he's ever had. They have Modelo Dark and my large margarita did the job;) We highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Service and Food was excellent! Servings were plenty! My parents and I came after exploring Antelope Canyon, it's in a great location, so much to see and they will definitely satisfy your hunger! I had the birria tacos, my dad had the ranchero steak and my mom and fish. The "regular" size margaritas were huge and everything was delicious! read more

Food came out quickly. It was good and portions are huge. 1 person had a vegetarian plate but the rice has chicken broth- we always check before consuming, so it wasn't eaten by this person. The service in our section seemed fast, except for our table. read more

Of my nearly 1600 reviews, Mexican food is my most commented on category. I've experienced authentic hole-in-the-wall to chain restaurant crap, so my expectations were low in middle of nowhere Page, Arizona. But this place rocks! First, there was plenty of staff buzzing about in a festive environment. Prices are higher than what you might be used to, but the portions even it out. The Tequila cocktail special with a sweet and sour rim and fruit stick was so satisfying. I thought, "here we go" when they brought the low grade chips and salsa, but everything afterwards was a pleasant surprise. The guacamole tasted fresh and at a fair price, while the delicious pico slaw was more than a throw-in freebie. The menu is vast and overwhelming so I'm glad we went off script by ordering the Tortas Ahogadas: that sauce was heavenly! I'm a big chile rellano fan, but never had it fried. It was good, but I'd opt for the soft version next time. Carlos the server was excellent and fast. read more

I ordered over the phone and the worker was friendly. When we arrived to pick up our food, the wait was out the door! There was atleast 15 people waiting to be seated. The place was poppin'. It seems to be owned by Hispanics who more than likely serve authentic Mexican food. So I'm sure that's why the line was so long - because it's that good! The service for to-go could use some work though. They didn't have anyone at the hostess stand and I had to flag someone down at the register a few steps away. We ordered their largest nacho and carne Asada tacos. The nachos were okay. We didn't get much protein which was a bummer and it was over $20. The portion is huge and would be worth the price if they offered more protein on it. The tacos were really tasty. Those were loaded with a lot of meat and I loved the caramelized onions too. Our biggest critique was everything was a bit dry. We wanted a spicy salsa but weren't given any. I'm not sure if it's because they don't offer salsas (which I doubt because what Mexican restaurant doesn't offer salsa!?!!) or they just didn't give us any. It would've been so much tastier with a spicy salsa! It was a good meal and I'm sure it would be a lot of fun to sit in the restaurant and have a meal with a drink, if you're willing to wait awhile. read more

Came here for dinner after a day of exploring Page ! Nice cozy atmosphere with warm servers ! Drinks menu has lot of options, we tried their Jumbo Margaritas and I recommend them! For food , we ordered the Guacamole which was very average , the chimichanga was very good with a creamy sauce and ample Chicken stuffings in the burritos , but the fish tacos were terrible ! Fried Fish was very oily , the taco shells were not good mostly felt store bought ! Overall the salsa and the toppings were also very dry . Don't recommend the tacos here ! The churros for dessert were amazing ,they are stuffed and served with chocolate dip. Overall , average food but good drinks ! read more
Portions here are HUGE. The food itself was okay/not bad. I was craving Mexican food though and it still hit the spot. The chicken enchiladas had large chunks of chicken in it (a little dry). Would have preferred if it was shredded. The rice and sauce were good though. The guac is the chunky type with large pieces of avocado. I didn't try the tacos but my friend had no complaints. I would come again if I'm in the area and craving a hearty Mexican meal, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Great service, friendly staff. read more
This place is AMAZING! I got the asada, carnitas, and birria tacos and they were all soo good. The birria slow-cooked beef was my favorite. It was so tender, soft, and savory. The portions for each taco were huge, they definitely do not skimp. The service was really good too, the waiter was funny and very friendly! I will be back! read more

This Resturant was amazing. Caring staff and very authentic Mexican cuisine. They have so many choices for a variety of eaters. Please start with their margaritas. I had a spicy skinny and my friends had a blueberry and blackberry. Very delicious. Chips and salsa were served with a cabbage salsa. It was very tasty and with fresh cilantro. I asked for a spicy version and boy was it hot. Loved it. We had enchiladas, burritos and fajitas. All were outstanding. I would give this restaurant a 4.5 rating. read more

Stumbled upon this spot for lunch since there weren't many highly rated options in Page, and I'm so glad I did! The tacos were flavorful, no matter which meat you chose, and the portions were generous. Service was excellent--they even brought out complimentary chips and salsa. While the exterior of the restaurant might not stand out, the inside was vibrant with colorful art and decorations. read more
