Tried this restaurant cause it had good reviews. I asked for my fish to be breaded it came on the plate unbreaded. Beans we slightly under cooked. Salsa is blan no taste. I had to ask for lemon which I was brought a lime that was as dry as the Sierra desert. I had to request a side of salsa. Rice was tasty Service was good. Restaurant was nice and clean. Over all this restaurant is not on one of my top eateries to dine at again.. read more

Delicious authentic cuisine. Small and intimate restaurant with the burritos and churros being my win. Enjoy a margarita and the guac to go with your chips and salsa to start ;-) read more

Best Mexican food around. My order of Carnitas tacos was spectacular! I always eat here when I'm in town.

Portion size, let's start there. If you go hungry you will leave stuffed. It is rare when a restaurant has such huge portions. The menu was also extensive almost too much. Great margaritas and some creative flavors like a Red Bull margarita which I had. Solid prices for good food what else could you ask for? read more

We tried the new location on N. Humphries tonight and it was outstanding! Same cheerful, uplifting decor as the original place in 66. Service was great, margaritas good, and the best mole I've had in town! read more

Even thought it has chainish vibes it was surprisingly good. We did pick a day that was busy, but I think they moved through the line relatively well. All the servers were kind and patient we started off with margaritas and guacamole dip. We really love the guacamole dip because it had chunks of avocado versus the smashed version you find in most places. The menu is a little busy, but by everyone's reactions, the options were nice to have. I'm usually not a big refried beans, guy, but they make theirs extremely well. The ceviche was excellent with nice amounts of fish. The tortillas could've been a little bit better but still good and the chips in salsa were also good. Services fast and attentive. Cool little spot for a quick dinner and a margarita or two. read more

Good Mexican food. Huge menu. The salsa was spicy & very tasty. It came with a basket of chips & a small cup of a spicy cabbage "slaw",also very good. The chips themselves were average & didn't taste very fresh. I had carne asada, beans & rice. The beans were fresh & tasted homemade. The other items were good but average. The staff was OUTSTANDING. Super attentive, friendly & fun. read more

Absolutely fabulous place to eat authentic Mexican food. Real Mexican food, not American/Mexican. Very friendly staff fun legit Mexican decor. read more

We came in here for a late dinner (845-9PM) and they still had a lot of people eating and/or coming in for dinner. Great energy in this restaurant with everyone enjoying their dinner and laughing. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. We ordered tacos and the carne asada. The carne asada was the star of this dinner - lots of flavor and great quality. Our tacos were just ok. We tried Adobada, Carne, Carnitas, Barbacoa. The meat flavors were very dull and did not have a lot of flavor at all. The best part of these plates were the grilled jalapeños and side salsa that both had a great flavor. read more

The food was excellent!!! Everything had so much flavor and was definitely authentic Mexican food! I recommend calling a head of time to get your name on that waitlist as they tend to get very busy. Food did take a bit to come out but it was totally worth the wait. The service was awesome! Staff were very friendly, polite, and attentive. The restaurant was definitely your traditional Mexican cantina, clean, music not too loud which is always nice especially when going with other people. Decent amount of parking, and definitely good for large parties. I would definitely come back here!!! If you're in the area looking for some good Mexican food, El Tapatio is a must try! read more

Good food. Good service but a bit pricey. Lots of seafood options but you will pay for it

As long time El Tapatio #9 patrons, we absolutely love this restaurant for the quality of the food and the friendly family atmosphere. We recently discovered the newly opened El Tapatio NUMBER TEN at the top of the hill by the Bashas Grocery Store right in the middle of town. WOW! Same menu, same great service and same special Birthday celebration! And (wait for it...). NO WAITING! Simply because the community is unaware of the new location. Give it a try. You certainly won't regret it! read more

Food and service are always excellent! Nice atmosphere. It's my favorite mexican restaurant in east Flagstaff!

From the staff to the owners (Manny rocked it out) they are great people. Coming from Fort Mohave and BHC AZ. We spend 4-5 nights a week at our couple of favorite mexican places so we eat a ton of mexican everywhere. The Carne asada tacos are legit like in Mexico and Baja, not the commervial crap either. Thier tomatio is so good, that after the owner gave me the standard Tapatio hot sauce i asked for, he said try it with just the tomatio...good greif, i had almost forgot how good real $hit is. We are coming back to hang out. Yep call me crazy, but we will hang out on the Can Am X3 for the day and hang here in the afternoon. Oh yeah, they have 109 different tequilas, bomb margis! Good job folks. read more

We stopped in here on our way up to camping outside of Williams and LLOVED everything we ordered. The atmosphere is fun inside and the staff were super nice and accommodating. They were pretty busy for a Wed evening in a downpour! We had tacos and tostadas, all very delicious. We may make this our camping tradition from now on! read more

I've been here several times and am usually very pleased with the food. My only complaint is sometimes the red sauce is over salted. Other than that the food is very good. My favorites are the Chile Colorado burrito and their variety of enchiladas. Reasonable prices for the hearty portion of food you get. read more

We just wanted a bean burrito to go, and was wondering why it was a little pricey but it was a complete meal and the homemade red sauce smothered on the burrito was the best we ever had. Next time we are in Flagstaff my wife and I will definitely be back for a sit down dinner. Highly recommended read more

Birria Taco (3 corn tortillas) plate with beans and rice was an amazing choice for me. Every bite was delicious. I ate too much, but I don't regret eating it all. Server was friendly, attentive and professional. I will be back when I visit Flagstaff again. read more

Off the hook Carnitas tacos. If you order anything before you die, have the Carnitas. Two tacos is plenty as these are no ordinary streets taco's that you down in two bites, These are to be savored. The plate is thermonuclear, so be forewarned or forwarmed in this case. The never ending chip bowl is awesome. I always judge Mexican food by the rice and beans and these are awesome!! read more

Came in at 4pm on a Friday after a day of boarding and man did the food hit the spot! My husband got a chicken, ground beef and shredded beef taco plate. I just ordered the tostada de civeche for a meal. And man oh man. Delicious! Manny helped us and he was efficient and kind. We took his recommendations and they were spot on. Our kids got cheese quesadilla and a corn dog. This is our new favorite place when we come visit. Reminds of our favorite place in tucson. read more

Food was okay. The carne asada meat had no flavor. The waitress seemed like she didn't want to be at our table but was upbeat and happy with the table next to us. The decor was absolutely beautiful though. Food is decently priced. The churros were yummy though but you can't really mess up churros. I did find a hair in one of the dips they gave us. read more

This place was amazing! I absolutely recommend it. The food was all great from steak to fajitas to the torta, tostada, churros, and flan. The margaritas were fantastic and you can get normal sizes and jumbo. The best was our waiter, Jose Luis. He was such a great hype man and so friendly and helpful with chosing what to eat. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food be sure to stop in here. Based on the stellar yelp reviews we decided to check this place out for lunch a couple days ago, especially because there are Carnitas are supposed to be amazing. Our server was delightful couldn't of been friendlier and happier. My husband ordered the Carnitas plate and I ordered two Carnitas tacos, we did get a couple margaritas and some chips and salsa are complementary with your meal. We both tanked up and had plenty of leftovers to make a delicious dinner. This is a small chain have locations in the Southwest that I will be on the lookout for when we are on the road. We ordered carne asada tacos and a burrito with carne asada and the difference in the meat between the two were insane. Our tacos were real carne asasa, while the burrito tasted like hamburger meat. We asked someone about this and she disregarded our comment and said they were the same, yet they looked and tasted completely different. If she's correct, great! but the person we talked to did not even acknowledge our question and didnt even look at the difference in the meat texture and size is what threw us off about this place. If you work in the restaurant industry you should at-least acknowledge the persons question. We then paid cash, which our server did not take off the credit card fee, which we were going to tip 20% despite the asada fiasco because that's not her fault, but to try and snag extra money from us is ridiculous. read more
