I have tried this place two times since moving to flagstaff and the food just isn't good. Both times got different items the first time time I went to the restaurant I ordered chicken tacos and a bean rice and cheese burrito I couldn't even finish it the cheese tasted like it went bad and the chicken in the tacos was in a sauce but that made the taco fall apart. The next time I went I tried the carne asada fries and got a bean and cheese burrito it cost me $26 that is expensive the fries had almost no meat and guacamole I was fries with cheese and sour cream. I could've drove down the street and sat at la Fondas for $30 and got a 3 item plate chips and salsa and a drink. I hate giving mom a pops bad reviews but the cost was just way to much to not write a review read more

This is one of the local taco shops I stop by when I want some quick tasty Mexican food. It's definitely not the healthiest, but it sure is yummy! Since COVID-19 is making us all eat drive-thru or take out, they've been pretty busy lately. Gotta support those local restaurants during these hard times! Back to the food. I'm a big fan of their tortas, chili relleno and carne asada burrito (which is ginormus!). Only thing in not a fan of is their breakfast burritos. Don't be fooled by the picky Yelpers. This is a 5-star taqueria that makes the few other places in town that I've tried seem awful. Portions are as they should be (likely exactly as they were when the place first opened and erected their now-hilariously-faded drive-thru menu) and the food is delicious. 5 Years of reviews on Polibertos. What a ride. Its been great all through. Its a Bertos. Their portions vs the cost is amazing here, to be honest. $2.10 for HUGE fish tacos. Had those today. The shredded chicken ones were hard shells and were so so flavor wise, but still filling. One tip for the cooks there: try to throw some more FLAVOR into your salsas and products, I know that generally means more $$ so I'm not too worried if I gotta throw my own salsa on. The line for the drive-thru always going out into the street should speak for itself, but in case it doesn't, I wanted to put in my two cents! I always drive by this place because it's on the way from my house to the nearest grocery store. I've never thought to try it out because the line for the drive-thu is always so long, but this time I wasn't in a hurry so I stopped by. The line moved surprisingly quickly and they asked if I wanted salsa when I went to pay for my food - SO glad I said yes because their salsa is AMAZING. the red is great, but the green is my favorite and has a serious kick to it. I just got 2 shredded chicken tacos. The tacos were bigger than I expected and topped with a generous amount of shredded lettuce and cheese... the meat was so tender and flavorful, too! They open early, are open late, and for being some random "hole-in-the-wall" looking restaurant, they have INCREDIBLE, authentic Mexican food. Oh yeah - and the prices are the same as taco bell, so there's another great reason to support these local guys. Can't wait to go there again and try something new! The good; Adobada burritos. The bad; the Carne Asada. The adobada are perfectly done (one step past spicy). The Carne Asada tacos and burritos are boring. The only flavor from the Asada is the overwhelming amount of minced onions. The refried beans have too much lard for my taste. They are very rich but not very flavorful. The rice is the right color, but an extra dash of tomato would make them more savory. Their chips are crispy and the salsa is good. Biggest complaint is having to wait an hour for my food. They are not allowing dine in yet so the line at the drive through is long. I had to pull over and park and sit for an hour till we got our food. Some of the best Mexican food from a small mom and pop place in Flag. Regrows beans are off the chart, I can't find a place that even compares to theirs. This place is always packed, even up to when they close. Parking is limited on the east side of the building, and directly behind. They do have a drive through, which helps when the place is busy. Rolled tacos are bomb, especially the Supreme ones. Carne Asada nachos are delicious. Definitely large portions, so be prepared. Anything I've had here over the last 10 years has been awesome.
