Creative and fun global menu, cocktails and beer. We had great service and a great dinner in the Ironworks courtyard. Ceviche with tostones, arepas, Philly Cheesesteak, Currywurst with fries, elote corn: all delicious. But don't miss the Perro Caliente, wrapped in bacon and topped with onions, picante, mustard, ketchup on a toasted bun. A fun safe, socially distant night as Fall begins. read more

Awesome food- 100% a Must- try place. The menu is filled with small bites of street food from around the world. Most likely you will try something new, that you wont be able to get any where else. The ambiance is really cool, graffiti and tin decor makes it welcoming for a fun crowd. I visited on a Friday night & the place was packed, yet we had no wait getting a table! The service was good and our waitress made great suggestions for our meal that we loved. The only reason I cant give this place 5 stars is because it is so loud, this is not the place to go if you have important things to discuss. read more

This place is awesome! Honestly 5 stars restaurant in my eyes! The servers were really kind and their only intention was to give us a good experience. BONES helped us out tonight, it can be said that he has hard work ethic and a kind soul. Food: to die for, godly, mouth orgasm the food is the culture of this restaurant, with three different continents to choose from (Asia, USA, and Europe) there is room for complaints for variety. We got the shrimp tacos along with the savory chicken waffles their sauces are so flavorful too! Philly cheesesteak with that order and to top it the jarritos! Service: kind, happy to help, friendly Decor: cool graffiti art, hot date night, steampunk look, definitely a lot of culture glad I swung by this restaurant :))) read more

Really enjoyed this place. Stopped in for lunch and totally enjoyed it. The decor is not what you would be normally accustomed to but it worked. If you are looking for high end dining and high end decor you will not be pleased but if you want a laid back environment then this is the place to be. No plates, no silverware but it is all good. The food makes up for the lack of plates and silverware. For starters we ordered the chicken empanadas and was blown away. Normally we order them elsewhere and they give you a mini empanada or they serve you one but cut up in pieces. Not here you get two large empanadas and you spread the hot sauce and they are off the hook. For our lunch my girlfriend ordered the mofongo and I had the Bulgogi. The mofongo came with pork chicharrón. Now you may get away with it from someone else but not us, it was not chicharrón, it was a good serving of pernil but it was not crunchy. I ordered the Bulgogi and I was totally impressed by it. Did not know what to expect but I loved it. Shredded ribeye over white rice, sprinkled some of their hot sauce over it and it just took it over the top. For drinks we had the jungle juice (Sangria) and our only complaint was that it was served in a glass which was too small. I would have loved a larger serving. Overall we loved the decor, the laid back feeling and the food. By the way the servers were great also, very attentive and helpful with their explanation of the menu. Oh almost forgot, we had dessert, you have to try the churro sundae- so good!!!! Churros, caramel, pecans and Dulce de leche. Awesome! read more

Ended up here because a chunk of Norwalk had no power. Was good. Not great, but good. Everything is served on disposable food containers and plastic silverware. Portions are on the smaller size so good to try some things and share. It wasn't busy but service was slow, although food came out crazy fast. We got food before drinks! read more

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Horrible experience! Did a reservation for 8 people for my daughter's 13th birthday party . They first put us in a table that was way too small and it was surrounded by boxes. After telling the staff about the small table they put us outside where it was cold and the tables were still wet from the rain. Our food came back cold and in cardboard box containers. Our food was in sauces that was spilling out of the containers. When we asked for plates they ignored us. They did not accommodate to one of our guest who had a gluten free allergy . She ask them what are her gluten free choices and they didn't respond. Lastly I asked for my check for over 30 minutes. Frustrated we walked out of the restaurant. Our waiter came outside to the street and said you didn't pay. I then responded I have been trying to pay for over 30 minutes we have an event to go to. I paided and left no tip. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional dining experience. I would have a better experience eating at McDonald's read more

Bryan is incredible! Request for his service at the bar for fantastic service and agave recommendations.

4 stars for the food. Bonus star for excellent service. Our waiter was so helpful I asked if he was the owner. He replied, "No, but I approach my job like I am". I wish more people in the restaurant business had this mindset. The shrimp & carnitas tacos were both packed with flavor. The Churro Sundae with coffee-vanilla swirl ice cream is even better than you're imagining right now. The restaurant is creatively designed incorporating authentic tagging throughout. Cool vibe. Amazing service. Great food. Unlikely I'll be in the area again, but I strongly suggest you check them out if you are. read more

Been my fav spot for years now, still never lets me down , hard to veer from my favorites but when I do it's still awesome

Really sucks that I wasn't able to enjoy this place like I wanted to. I have been here in numerous with hopes it will get better. I have to say the service is always good. The concept and visuals of this place are really cute. The menu holds a variety of street food dishes from all over the world. Pretty unique ideas for a menu. The food was just alright. Very bland. Every item was missing something from it. Possible more thought into the ingredients maybe. The drinks are ennh, I ordered the jungle juice which tasted like nothing juice . The items that were place to order were tostones which were cold. Shrimp taco was alright , shrimp was heavily breaded. The empanadas were good. Elote off the cob was ok. The fried noodles were ok. The shrimp that come with the fried noodles were cut in half and heavily breaded. I think the establishment could use a menu revision. Last dessert was cool. We had fried dough with sugar. The best item I had off the menu. I really like the concept and look of this place , the food just doesn't cut it for me . Nonetheless best wishes. read more

Vibes were good. Drinks were okay. Service was terrible. There were 3 servers just starring at us for a good 20 minutes until someone else came to check up on us and had to tell them to come to us. There was also a slight language barrier as. Also they forgot to bring out some of our orders. Overall I wouldn't go back. read more

I had a little bit of an issue with an incorrect charge at this place. After getting no help from one of there employees and leaving a bad review, Andrey, one of the owners, stepped in and righted all the wrongs. he understood my issue and was a professional. Thanks again Andrey! read more

El Segundo - Menu with false prices. - Beer Bar Near Me - Norwalk, Connecticut

It's with a heavy heart that I give this a low rating. It certainly didn't meet my expectations. The menu is varied, and exciting. It's a great nod to food trucks and street food. Anything you can find on the street in another country, they have. The big sticking point is the use of disposable plates, utensils, etc--the reason I will never come back. I can't support a restaurant that does this. Sure, it stays with the theme of the restaurant, but when I am not sure if I am eating cardboard or arepa, the line has been crossed. The amount of waste this place produces must be astronomical. I support the environment, and compostable forks or not, I don't like to see such rampant and obvious waste when it can be avoided. Is it laziness, lack of space, or an intentional decision, I may never know. Next, the service wasn't good. The original waiter seemed great, but then they moved our table (no problem, we were happy to help and move), and then the service basically disappeared. Everything took long, and it seemed they didn't care about us. To the food: I shared an arepa and churrasco with a friend, and a tacos al pastor for myself. The arepa was fine, but just go to Valencia for a real arepa. The churrasco was the best thing I ate, and they nailed the cook on this. It was perfect medium rare, and had great flavor. But it was like $11. The taco was average, go to Rincon or the Southwest for real tacos. The sauces that were on the table also left something to be desired. Either they were too spicy, or didn't fit with the food. I hate to be this harsh on a restaurant with such potential, but I expected better. What did I miss? So, all-in-all my big disappointment was the combination of factors at this restaurant. Once they change to actual plates and utensils, I will go back and give it another fair shot. Until then, Environment 1, El Segundo 0. read more

Great ambiance and menu. Love the around the world theme. When I saw they have Presidente ( Dominican Beer) had to try it and sticking with the Dominican theme order the fried plantains. It was good but I wish they had a dipping sauce for it. Also tried the corn on the cob ( elote) it was the best elote I have had in CT. I will even say that it almost was as good as the corn on the cob from the street vendors in Texas. That says a lot!!! We sat outside and played some table games. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely stopping by when in the area. read more

This place is amazing everything from the Decore to the people and food was off the hook ( it was really really good) We had elote, perro caliente , empanada, souvlaki, ceviche, scotch bonnet beef patty, mofongo, and the drinks WOWOOWOWOWOWOOWOWOOWOWOWOW! This is my favorite place in Connecticut I will al ways take my family and friends to try it. Dont just walk by go eat. It's dope (it's really good. Like quarter waters in the hood good when they used to put real sugar in it lol.) just go and try it read more

The manager is the most absysmal and rude person I have ever met in my life. Great star, neat setting and decor, lots of outside seating and truly fabulous creative food.

The food is a lot better than the customer service. There was no hostess at the door so we had to hunt down a bartender to get us a server. Then the server proceeded to tell us that the kitchen was switching to the late night menu soon but didn't come back to take our orders. Throughout the night we didn't have one consistent server and frequently had to flag down servers just to get a drink. Visited this place on a Saturday night so I'll have to come back at a less busy time to see if the service improves. I've never seen any restaurant like this one. It's like an indoor food truck. The decor is very street, but they could use the help of actual graffiti artists/muralists to make the place pop more. Their menu features street foods from all over the world but it is lacking in real substance. It was difficult for me, someone who doesn't eat pork or beef, to make a complete meal of the menu items. They didn't even have chicken tacos which I feel is pretty standard. I settled for the shrimp taco which ended up being pretty great despite the baby sized shrimp. The chicken empanadas were decent but a bit too salty. My mate had bulgogi and also complained that it was salty. We were both impressed by the tacos. I wish the menu featured more tacos because they were great! read more

Great atmosphere, This is the type of place where you can walk in years later and it would be as though a day never passed. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is dependable, with a steady menu and something for everyone. One recent addition they have added is the five dollar mocktail menu! I love it- when I'm somewhere and they charge full price for a mocktail, I don't end up ordering any fun drinks. I'm happy they have a mocktail selection where I can enjoy some drinks with my friends!!! Shrimp taco is always my favorite, but really most of their food is great! Oh- minus one star because of the cleanliness of the bathrooms- I usually hold my nose and don't look too close, but everything else is great about this restaurant! read more

Outside was fun. Sat at the bar. Bartender was nice and attentive. Cocktails were fresh and delicious. Food was ok. Verde Ensalada was delicious. My lamb chops were drowning in oil, taking any sear away, over cooked and lacked flavor. They were tender though, so I ate them and the bartender was sweet, so I didn't say anything. The mofungo seemed dry at first, but there was another layer of pork underneath. It was tasty, but I'd try something else next time. The menu is fun. I'd definitely give it another try. read more

Service is great. Food comes out quickly. Food portions are small/medium. I ordered souvlaki and it was okay. Wasn't the best. I was still hungry afterword and usually they are filling. The drinks are better than the food. read more

I'd give them a 1-star if it wasn't for the food being so delish (empanadas? Yes, please!! scallion pancakes?? double yes!) but tonight's experience was pretty bad. We came in here to escape the snowstorm and get some dinner. Upon walking in we saw there was one guy sitting at the bar with a drink and five or so employees with the loudest music I've probably ever heard in a restaurant...... with one customer. We were seated and we asked the server if she wouldn't mind turning down the volume. She said it wouldn't be a problem then walked away and did nothing. Five minutes later another couple followed by a single guy then a dude with two kids under the age of ten joined the impromptu rap concert. Throughout our meal we enjoyed the rapper's soulful ballads about the "hooker he f*cks" and shared in his gratitude that she "still bleeds once a month." I'm sure the small kids at the table behind us appreciated his lamentations just as much. ....but probably not as much as the next rapper who dutifully "pops her pu$$y for her nigga" or the next song about suicide by cop and how much he enjoys "bangin' with his girl" as they drive around "the hood looking for hits." Seriously, who plays music like this in a restaurant at 5:30PM? on a Thursday? with kids? at full blast? *eye roll* read more

This place has a great ambiance. Excellent service and a great location with plenty of outdoor seating. With an extensive menu and plenty of options, the tacos were solid. Best bar in SoNo, hands down. Awesome atmosphere and music, really friendly staff and open kitchen. The food is LEGIT; eclectic offering of three global regions, and the portions are substantial but never overwhelming. Cool spot in SoNo! Atmosphere is casual and really fun - different from any place I've been. They have a good size bar area and seating space. There is a cute outdoor area with a small bar and picnic tables that you can chill and have lunch/dinner at - turf area so it's dog friendly! Menu is very interesting... you can't come here for a standard Caesar salad, be ready to branch out and try new things from all over the world! The menu is a little confusing because some items are small tapas and some are larger portions but mostly everything is tapas style, so it's fun to order a few things and share. Service was great and the food was good too! Will come back :) read more

I have been following El Segundo on Instagram for a while now and telling myself that I need to stop in. I came in the other day for Taco Tuesday. We were greeted immediately and sat at the bar which ended up being a great choice. The kitchen is directly behind the bar, I ordered 4 tacos, the Chicken, shrimp and carne asada tacos were all amazing but the real star of the show was the Al Pastor tacos. The meat was juicy and flavorful being cooked on the vertical rotisserie in the kitchen, the pineapple complimented the pork to make a great combination. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Before leaving we ordered dessert to go. It was a coffee and vanilla swirl ice cream with fresh Churros and pecans loaded with dulce de leche and cinnamon sugar. Chef Carlos introduced himself and spoke with us for a bit, they've got a winning combination of great atmosphere and amazing food. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. read more

I like the cool theme they have but they need better drink options as we just drank water. Overall the food is better than the customer service. read more

Mediocre food, and very poor customer service. I suggest if you go to this establishment pay in cash..currently going through a dispute with them due to an over charge ( split a $246.21 bill with friends and was charged 123.11 and the full $246.21) and they have refused to correct their mistake..El segundo, if your hope is I get tired and stop the dispute..guess what? that won't happen, I will not let you rob me as I am sure you have done to others.
