Super fun bar/restaurant spot. Food is more American / Mexican but totally fun vibe. The back area turns into a little nightclub after 9pm. Fun place for a date ! read more

I have had food from here before and have enjoyed it. However, the delivery service is Awful! I ordered Seamless the restaurant gave them the wrong delivery. When I was to get a redelivery not only was it delayed making it over an hour from initial delivery, they delivered the wrong meal a second time! This is the restaurant's fault! Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

Boy we had a time last night! My BF and I came here on a Saturday night around 10:30pm. Upon arrival you're met by security which do a quick search and let you in. Inside there was no seating available and barely and standing room. It was a vibe! People dancing, eating and enjoying themselves. So we opted to sit outside. Our waiter came over shortly there after to give us menus. For my cocktail I went with the Mezcalita. I'm a Casamigos / Mezcal girlie so I was super excited to see a drink with both. It was GOOD! Stuck with it for the rest of the night. Great Smokey drink for the ppl that are into that. My BF had the Margarita Suci (mix of sangria & margarita). That drink was STRONG.... You've been warned. For my meal I had the Salmon Vallarta which was very good. Salmon was covered in a mango sauce and on a bed of mango slices. Loved it! To the right of us was a friendly older couple having a great time. Dancing, singing, totally enjoying life. Watching them just have a great time was really a joy. Riviera Maya is a great vibe! Good service and even better food. We'll be back! read more

Food is okay - nothing spectacular unfortunately. My husband and I shared fajitas, which were decent. Priced appropriately for the portion we received, which was enough for 2. Salsa seemed jarred, and chips store bought. Nothing wrong with either, but I would've expected something different I guess! I've had so many fantastic homemade chips and salsa that it's just surprising to run into a place that doesn't do that. Drinks also were not really great, but still bearable. Overall I think the food was pretty forgettable, and I don't know if I'll find myself coming back anytime soon. Maybe I came at an off time, or didn't order the right things, but this was my experience. read more

I ordered the vegetarian burrito. It was a tad small and had mostly spinach inside. Less spinach inside would be better. It had a good amount of Muenster cheese which I liked. The quesadilla was not bad. The rice and beans were great tasting. read more

Our first night here in Stamford CT we stopped in for dinner. My fiancé had the steak fajitas which I tried - Delicious despite being on a very very hot sizzling plate the steak was juicy and so good. It came with rice, beans, and pico de gallo. For some odd reason or unless its a gringo thing there was no shredded cheese. I had the beef flautas I opted for no avocado sauce. They were good. In my picture I got a frozen strawberry margarita which was yummy. Also in my pic had a nice refreshing margarita read more

Table sode guac (chef's kiss) ftw! They are not stingy with the chips and salsa. Crow pleasers available for the children! I got the octopus meal which was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked down to the tip of the tentacle! I gave 4 stars because the waiters werent very attentive and it is pretty expensive. read more

Went during Christmas vacation on the Friday night with my family. The fajitas lived up to their reputation - Excellent! The food and service were very good. They do have music that starts rather early. It's great but is a bit loud if you are wanting conversation so be aware read more

Honestly, just go for drinks and nothing more and you won't be disappointed. The food is terrible and overpriced. The empanadas are wrapped in puff pastry I assume they keep them frozen and then reheated through a microwave. One of the worst experiences ever! Saturday evening 15 of my closest friends joined me at Riviera Maya for my Birthday. One of the managers Juan, whom I spoke to earlier in the week, said it was great, being your party "here". I called Friday to give him a estimate headcount and he set it the next day. I arrived, and with attitude and a serious upset face and tone said to me "I might need to take a table from your party." I said ok no problem let's wait and see who shows up. He was never seen again except giving my guest attitude. The server was rude, horrible and was just wanted to be there to quickly make her money, never offered or brought waters to the table. She flat out told me that she cannot do separate checks, to tell my guest to figure it on who will pay. I was starting a check for my guest for food and drinks, she went ahead and started started checks per table too. Adding auto gratuity to every check including mine. When I questioned her and gave her feedback of service, she shrugged her shoulders without care. I was never offered water or even a bday wish. Birthday fail, Embarrassed for my guest, and $1500+ of garbage food and drinks read more

The only good thing about this place is the customer service. The ambiance is okay, but I don't think I'd ever come back to eat here. I ordered the ground beef tacos, the meat tasted like it was squeezed out of a bag or canned. The serving sizes are absolutely terrible, the quality of the food is closer to Taco Bell so please save your money. At least at Taco Bell, you get free refills. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is definitely not it. read more

I have been here multiple times to dance though I have never eaten here. The drinks and atmosphere are fantastic. If you are looking for a nice place for drinks and dancing on a Saturday night this is a real go to! The sangria is always fresh and amazing! You can get a whole pitcher for 35 dollars! I have also never heard a song I didn't like here. Everything is super upbeat and fun. read more

Walked in during happy hour, but they unfortunately don't have any happy hour specials. I was seated immediately as it wasn't busy. The staff is friendly and atmosphere was clean, colorful and upbeat. The chips were warm and crispy and salsa was balanced. I drank the pomegranate mojito and it was refreshing but I feel like it could have used a little more mint. The octopus appetizer was tender and the fresh squeeze of lemon perfected the dish. Crunchy bell peppers and saluted spinach was a nice accompaniment with the octopus. The steak fajitas was beautifully presented on a sizzling plate and smelled delightful. Steak was juicy and tender and the accompanying fajita veggies were sweet and crisp. However the refried beans and rice were definitely lacking flavor. read more

I really enjoyed my first time here with new friends. We bonded over chips, pitchers of beer and good value mex food. However, my 2nd trip here was a nightmare. I didn't believe the reviews about the patrons being overcharged, but yesterday night's incident made me realize the truth. Our group of six ordered 2 pitchers of margeritas, appetizer sample platter, and guac. Chips and salsa are always free here. Our total bill cane out to $168. How? Bc they charged us $50/pitcher. I remember seeing the margerita price listed by the bar near the DJ and took a picture of it to argue with the waiter. "Something something about happy hour price." Look! The sign says $30 normal hours and $20 during happy hour. Like the other patrons, we couldn't pull enough cash together to pay what we should have owed. RUN OUT OF HERE!! Fun place to dance at night though. Just skip the food and drinks. You've been warned! read more

The food is good here, but the security staff is aggressive to the point of harassment. I saw a young patron being shoved out the doors by a man who was threatening to "disrespect" him for a perceived slight. The victim was not being loud or physically intimidating in the least. What I witnessed was an a abuse of power inflicted on a queer person of color and I simply felt compelled to document it here on Yelp. read more

My husband and I had dinner after a going to Shen Yun at the Palace Theater. The staff was awesome, very accommodating, friendly and attentive. I had the seafood paella and my husband had the beef tacos. Both of our meals were very good. Seasoning, temperature, presentation, and timeliness of delivery were excellent. We also had two different margaritas and they both were very well made and all ingredients were properly in balance. Will definitely visit this restaurant the next time we are in Stamford!!!! read more

I've eaten here outside in the summer and it's really nice to enjoy drinks & guac with good people! I recently came here on a Friday night around 10..the drinks were flowing and the music was bumpin! All Spanish music..the lighting was like club lighting and it was definitely super fun (and different from what I'm used to!). The waiter danced and joked with us, which was awesome. As it approached midnight more people came and went to dance . Fun! read more

Quite authentic family oriented Mexican restaurant. Large selection and reasonable prices. Municipal parking across the street. Street parking too. Very attentive service. Bar scene is tumultuous. People having fun after work. Nice walkable neighborhood. We had steak fajitas that was plentiful and steak cooked rare as requested. Very tasty. Perfect accompaniments. Large margaritas w good amount of alcohol. We were there on a weekday at 6:30 and bar was busy but were first to be seated in the dining room. There are several dining rooms. Two families followed us. Large screen playing soccer match. Nice atmosphere. I stress very nice and attentive service. read more

A great Mexican restaurant not only for a vegan (me) but for my omnivore dining companions too! They start you off with a basket of fresh chips and salsa. We ordered guacamole, which is prepared table side to your liking. It's fantastic! A must have! They have the best veggie fajitas anywhere! Not just the usual tired looking peppers and onions, but a sizzling platter of fresh veggies heaped on a bed of vibrant multicolored peppers, onions, including asparagus, carrots, mushrooms, spinach, and zucchini. Served with a side of rice and refried beans, guacamole and poco de gallo. One friend had the hangar steak, and the other a fish dish they both enjoyed. The drinks were great too. Chardonnay was really good and a generous serving, and the margarita was a hit. read more

Tex-Mexy food style, classic. The food is yummy and has well sized portions. I like that the food comes with different sides, variety of ingredients, and flavor combinations - see photos! The bean sauce is really good. By the way, the place is enormous-- beyond the main bar room, there are about 2 more large rooms, including a semi-outdoor one. At night, they sometimes turn into a nightclub with cover. I'd go again for eating. read more

This place has a great atmosphere. The bar area is very lively, the main dining has mariachi players and later towards the night they have a DJ. The beef taco is delicious but come on how hard is it to make a taco. The guacamole is very good and I love how they make it fresh at your table. However for the rest of the food it is very very basic nothing special. I would come back again to hang out at the bar and drink while snacking on chips and Guacamole. Be warned if you choose to dine in during the weekend prepare for a long wait to get your food. Not sure why is takes so long to get your food but I noticed it took long for everyone around us to get their food. read more
