Food & drinks were great but the service & price not so much... Definitely won't be stopping in here for lunch again any time soon. We probably should have left when the waitress came over and didn't acknowledge that I was sitting at the table. She only spoke to the man & i was with and started to walk away before I put in my drink order. It was by far the weirdest & most off-putting restaurant experience I've had. When it was time to order our meals, the same thing happened. Straight up rude. At least the margs were good & the drinks were strong.

This restaurant is in the old dinosaur bbq space in Stamford near the water. The parking is ample as there is a lot and they do take credit card. The drinks start at 14.00 and the large picture of drinks starts at 75.00 After a certain time this place becomes a club w live dj. The staff try hard to be helpful but they are overwhelmed and super busy The food is subpar I think people come for the amazing drinks and club Definitely not my scene The flautas tasted like they were frozen and reheated . Chicken paella tasted like plain chicken and rice and not cooked like a paella the appetizer of steak frites was good but super small for the price

Service was great. Business was slow. Price is reasonable. $$ Felt the food was a little salty and bland. Beautiful ambience. Definitely will come again for happy hour. Drinks were great.

Eric was a super server! Very attentive but gave us lots of time to make decisions and talk. Guacamole was delicious, as were the margaritas. Eric's recommendations were all spot on- shishito peppers, empanadas and quesadillas. Good music level, fun atmosphere, all good!

I love the live band. I got the California nachos and they were delicious. I will say the place is a bit pricey for what it was, but the live music and the dancing makes up for it.

I went to Tequila Escape for their Happy Hour. It wasn't a bad place. The Decor was really nice, the staff was really nice and the food and drinks were good. We ordered the shrimp tacos and nachos. The shrimp tacos were really good, I was surprised that we only received 2 tacos usually it's 3 but I guess it's Happy Hour. The nachos were good, the chips were on top of the beans and cheese, usually it would be the other way around. We had the spicy Margarita and it definitely was spicy. It was so spicy we couldn't taste the tequila - but I think they used the spicy tequila. I would definitely come back because I would like to try their brunch.

Excited to visit a new Mexican spot in Stamford. Disappointed that I probably won't make it a regular spot due to high prices. Food was overall good, the best thing was the quesadilla but it was made with Monterey Jack so tasted a little less traditional than I expected for the price. Mushroom tacos were not very memorable and rice and beans barely seasoned. The best thing was the drinks. Service was very friendly, but just a few things that would improve the experience: - Less (or more subtle) up-selling: it felt like every thing we ordered the server asked if we would like to add x or y to it. Drinks weren't even finished and server asked if we wanted another (and later took mine away when I was still working on getting the last dregs). - Maybe I'm asking for too much but I think a sit-down Mexican restaurant should offer complimentary chips for the table, maybe even with free salsa. We did ask for chips and while the server graciously brought them without a charge, they came out without anything to dip (and unlike the rest of the meal, the server didn't ask if we wanted to add that). For those who are curious, a small thing of guac here is $16 (and the portion I had with the quesadilla was very garlicky and in general not something I would pay for at that price) I know Harbor Point is an expensive place to rent so food prices must match, but I think some of these changes can be implemented without really impacting the restaurant's bottom line. I would definitely come back to try more off their wide drink menu.

Came here for brunch and it's a do not miss for Stamford. We got the steak empanadas the pan con chicharrón sandwich and a chicken quesadilla. Everything was delicious down to the bread they used for the sandwich. The empanadas were actually my favorite. I loved the sauce that's as served with them. Their are grass fed and or organic and the cocktails are made with fresh juices.

Once we were seated the waiter arrived asking about drinks which we declined in favor of bottled water, i ordered coffee as well and was offered 1 whole cup. Nobody came around for refill the rest of the meal We each ordered an appetizer and a main, both of our mains featuring 2sunny side up. 15 -20 minutes later BOTH entrees and my appetizer arrive WTF? After that our server just seemed to disappear. My daughter had hangar steak & eggs. I had the pork carnitas and eggs. Both our order's eggs were ordered sunny side up. Typically it's the yolks that are runny but both of our orders had runny whites as well. All this time we waited on the other appetizer to arrive. For a place that was not very busy the service was galactically awful. The food was passable but not great. The banana bread appetizer arrived as the busboy came to take our entree dishes. And that was after 2 reminders to our waiter (both appetizers were taken to go). Whoever is running this place (nobody game by asking how our meal was) should be embarrassed. When i spoke with our waiter about the abysmal service he passed it off on the busboy! There is no sense of teamwork nor pride in doing a good job. Sad.

All three were fantastic. The breakfast pizza had us craving more, and the oysters were fresh, delicious, and delicately shucked. I tried the chilaquiles and the short rib hash. The chilaquiles were very good, despite being a bit different from the red-sauce version I'm used to. But omg, the short rib hash was SO GOOD. This is an absolute killer dish. I've never been a huge fan of hollandaise sauce, but they put it on the side for me, and honestly, it blended extremely well with the flavors of the hash. The "5 O'Clock Somewhere" cocktail is refreshing and gave me a very light buzz that paired well with the delicious options we ordered. The staff is friendly and very attentive, and the spot itself is very clean, spacious, and stunning. I would definitely visit this spot again.

The overall ambiance of this restaurant was family friendly with a holiday feel. We ordered cocktails, which were delicious! Got there early ahead of our reservation to get drinks at the bar. I ordered a dirty vodka martini and my husband got a gin martini. They got the order wrong and gave us both dirty martinis. I was briefly excited by them asking if I wanted blue cheese olives but even those were dry since you can see them on the bar pre-skewered, sitting in a container, not in brine. We finished our drinks and then moved to a table. We were not given water when seated. Placed an order for another round of drinks then (smartly) made the decision to order a mix of apps first before our entrees. Placed an order for another round of drinks, got the gnocchi, dumplings & wings. Food hit our table before our drinks arrived and we had to ask for water. Now onto the actual food - sadly, nothing good to say about it: - Sticky Gochujang Wings: well fried wing but WAY too much vinegar in the sauce not at all a Gochujang flavor - Sweet Chili Dumplings: Panda Express sauce a cloyingly sweet. Would expect more from a place like this. Also the filling of the dumpling tasted like it had curry seasoning? Curry + sweet chili are not flavors that mix - at least not in this dish. - Gnocchi: The sauce was broken/so grainy and gritty and the gnocchi itself SO DENSE. After this bad show, it was a no-brainer that we were gonna take our night and appetites elsewhere. So disappointing. Feels like they have a lot of service issues. Staff felt new even though they've been open for a year or so now. Unless some big changes happen, I have no interest in coming back.
