Seamore's restaurants focus on sustainable seafood, and I've been to the Chelsea and Dumbo location. The one in Darien is relatively new and is very conveniently located right by the train station. The decor is stylish with a nautical theme that is very nice fitting for a seafood restaurant. They have outdoor seating and a nice bar area. We sat in one of the booths, which are high up but have a bar where you can rest your feet comfortably. James was our server, and he was great at explaining the menu and answered all of our questions regarding the food. I ordered the miso salmon entrée and my friend got the reel deal with salmon. The salmon was very nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were delicious, cooked al dente so they were firm and full of flavor. I only wish they would have given a bigger piece of avocado since the slice was tiny. Prices are on the pricy side but not outrageous. read more

Nestled in the corner of a cute shopping center in Darien, this restaurant is a must try! Located off the metro north station and with various parking options, it's easily accessible! From the cute interior, to the friendly service and good food, you're bound to have a great experience here. My family and I went here to celebrate my dad's retirement. I ordered one of their gin based signature cocktails, as well as their clam linguine. My sister ordered their poke bowl (highly recommend!) and my dad ordered one of their salads with salmon. We had an absolutely amazing time last night!! We brought our 6 month old baby boy and they were beyond accommodating. Our drinks were delicious and the food was spectacular! Apparently it's a new menu and our double date + little guy enjoyed all the different dishes! Everything from raw bar oysters and shrimp, lobster, bass, fried chicken sandwich, artichoke dip, and chicken Milanese was on point. I liked our server making recommendations and I tried a few of them from the cocktail, fish special and sauce recommendation (red curry sauce was SO GOOD). My friend and I were craving mussels + fries and Seamore's did not disappoint. Went for lunch - ordered the "Coconut Shrimp" and "Jonah Crab + Blackened Shrimp Dip" apps. Both super delish, the coconut shrimp had a good crunch and the dip was gooey and seasoned well. We split the "Classic Mussels + Fries" main. Sauce with the mussels was good, but the fries were top tier. Super chill atmosphere (tons of natural light) and wait staff was attentive. Love the area, great options to eat and shop. Only suggestion would be to offer a lunch menu with smaller portions. A little pricey for a lunch, but seems pretty on par considering the location of the restaurant. What happened? This place used to be a decent fish restaurant but they changed the entire menu of mostly blasé foods and now I will not go back. I had their marinated chicken and potatoes dish and it was not good at all and small portion for a dinner. Wife ordered the poke bowl and it was ok. Our daughter had the ahi tuna and it was also fair. Our server had no personality and no real internet serving us. Too bad but this place has gone down hill. read more

The vibe is chill, really nothing stands out other than free parking which is always a plus. The location is amazing, and very convenient to I95. I have to say one thing did rub me the wrong way. Seamore's sends out these coupon deals after you have eaten with them. I received one, and tired to redeem it online to receive I believe 10-15% off my take out meal, and of course it didn't work. When I got to the restaurant and explained to whom seemed like a manger he had no idea what I was talking about and didn't even try to help me nor give me the discount anyway. His dismissive unwillingness to satisfy a returning customer off a coupon from this establishment for a discount which I showed him on my phone left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish I knew his name but he had a light beard and slick hair. Be more willing to help and not dismiss a customer when paying for a meal. read more

First time trying this place and it was good! Just shared a bunch of apps that were all pretty tasty. The place is super cute inside with some booths as well as some regular tables. The bar is very classy looking- I just usually prefer bar chairs with back support so these were lacking there, for me anyways. Nice wine list. Would def try again. Service is also great- our waitress was super attentive and even the manager kept walking by and making sure all was good. My fiancé and I had a nice date night at Seamore's! We were so excited to check out their first CT location, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant itself was clean and modern with an industrial feel, and the servers were professional and attentive. We loved their menu choices, especially the option for the Reel Deal, which my fiancé took advantage of. We thought the rosemary butternut squash spaetzel was such a unique choice, and it was delicious! All of the seafood was so fresh, and we were really impressed by the generous lobster chunks in the Mac and cheese. The churro ice cream sandwich was an awesome way to end our meal! I was excited to try a new restaurant here. This place is ok. The food is good but kind of pricey and dishes are hit or miss. - tuna poke is very salty - oysters are fresh - firecracker cauliflower is quite tasty, spicy and crunchy - my shrimp and grits had a hair in it. While the waitress saw and immediately replaced the dish, no one apologized. For such an establishment, I would have expected the manager to come over with an explanation and apology. Meh. Great ambiance although it was loud. Inside acoustics are bad. Service was really great. The food, however was meh. Oddly, the guacamole and chips were the best. I know, who orders Guac and chips at a seafood place? We did and we were shocked at the flavor. Loves the pickled onions. We had Sancerre and a rose for drinks. Personally, I'm not a fan of the stemless wine glasses. I did however, notice that some tables had stemmed wine glasses. Where it goes south is the mains. Lobster roll had an option of warm or cold - French fries, chips or sweet potato fries. We chose the hot lobster roll. Also got the choice of scallops with red curry sauce and spaetzle. The lobster roll was kinda tasteless. No drawn butter I suppose for $34 we were expecting something fabulous. My dish felt like I could have ordered it from Cava. And that's not a dig on Cava just that it had an engineered, lack of culinary creativity that you'd expect from a seafood place. The scallops were large and cooked well, but not seasoned with anything memorable. Very disappointing. The red curry sauce was actually the star. Creamed spinach was good. So, we really wanted to love this place as a supporter of local businesses. But alas the flavor fell short. I would like to add that the service, friendliness and host were lovely. If I could Id give it a 2.5 as the price for taste was not commensurate. It's hard to give a 34 dollar lobster roll that tasted sub-meh anything but 2 stars. Had a good ole time at this place! The ambiance is relaxing and inviting. The food was great, had lobster Mac and cheese and I will definitely circle back for it! Very good food and beverages and our waitress guided me carefully through the menu to accommodate a gluten allergy. The daily oysters were fantastic, and we enjoyed the other items we ordered very much: fish tacos, vegetable salad, miso salmon, and a dry rose wine. Subtracting a star because we were forgotten for a while after being seated (more than 15 minutes) and then the bartender opened the door to take out the mats and garbage and left it open for a long time when it was below freezing outside. Seamore's is situated in the newly developed Noroton Heights shopping center. The atmosphere is relaxed and not too loud for conversation. The service was very good and our server friendly. However the food was mediocre and very overpriced. $10 beers, $18 glasses of wine, and $20 mixed drinks is pretty excessive for canned beer. My shrimp and pasta were both overcooked, which is a relatively easy dish and could have been great. I will not be returning. read more

Tasty food and great service! I've been here a few times and have had a good experience every time. I agree prices sometimes are a bit steep for the dish but it's expected in this location. I've always liked what I ordered (baja tacos, grilled shrimp tacos, firecracker cauliflower--so good!, kale and avocado salad- good but sorda bland, Seamore's salad, reel deal with salmon- very good too!) . I've tried several of their cocktails which were all very good. My husband did order fish and chips once and guacamole didn't love it. In all, good food and service, cute ambience and has nice outdoor seating if weather allows it. Some dishes better than others but definitely recommend trying them out! read more

Came in for a quick drink during happy hour. Total winner - $1.50 oysters! For $40 (tax and tip included) ended up getting two glasses of wine and a dozen oysters. Really amazing deal. I think the deal's only available around the bar, but in my opinion totally worth the trip considering i haven't heard of any other good oyster happy hours nearby and the bill would've normally been double. Left a lot to be desired. Sat at the bar; disorganized service. Was able to order fairly quickly but bartenders were all over the place so took more than 10 minutes for them to make our order. Margarita I ordered was terrible. Bar was a mess with dirty glasses everywhere and dirty dishes piled up on the floor. Ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice and two sides for my meal. Food took a long time; they never brought one of the sides and the spicy tuna was flavorless. Would give zero stars if possible. read more

Had a great dinner last week at Seamores. Great add to the Noroton Heights area. The fish was excellent. However was turned off at how expensive the drinks were. My wife and I came in for brunch on a saturday afternoon with our 1 year old and we could not have had a better experience. Dining out with a small child is never easy, but the staff was incredibly welcoming and made sure to expedite the kids items so that our son didn't get fussy. They brought out a bowl of water for our little pup as well, which was very sweet. Service was quick and efficient, tables on the patio were nicely spaced out, which made us less nervous about our little one potentially impacting neighboring diners, and the food was delicious. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and would be great for a birthday party. Food wise - the lobster benedict is a must and their pancakes were absurdly good, which I wasn't expecting. My husband and I LOVE this place. I've never reviewed a restaurant before but I had to with this one. The staff is always incredibly friendly and the service is spot on. We really enjoy the energetic ambiance and the vibe is very welcoming and fun! Obsessed with the firecracker cauliflower and our frequent main dishes are the tacos, shaved Brussel sprout salad, and lobster roll. The last time we were at Seamore's, the chef came over to introduce himself and inquire about our meals. It was so busy and he didn't seem rushed to check in with us and a few other tables that night. Everyone loves to voice their negativity and I can't understand reviews putting down a new restaurant in town. I hope Seamore's stays around for a long time!!! read more

We really enjoyed our evening at Seamores last night! Big energy, music and bar was filled. We appreciated the hostess letting us know the kitchen was backed up a bit and apologized. Our server also let us know the same. Drinks and appetizers arrived quickly and were excellent (crispy rice and poke bowl, and oysters). When our food did arrive - sea bass and tilefish- it was hot and cooked perfectly. The churro desert was to die for. Didn't think the drinks were any pricier than other Darien restaurants- it comes with the territory. Our server and the staff were excellent and responsive in a packed restaurant. I'm sure Seamores is getting its feet on solid ground after a couple of weeks, but off to a great start! We'll be back! read more

Incredible food and atmosphere! Easily one of the best seafood restaurants I have been to. The crispy rice is certainly the best I have had. Amazing lobster rolls, fish entrees and desserts!! It's also in a fantastic spot within a new center that has plenty of parking and is very close (walking distance) from Noroton Heights station on MetroNorth.
