Food is good when they're on point. They're on point like 80% of the time. This last time, the really annoying thing about this place was we ordered a 12 piece FAMILY meal and it came with 1 set of salsa. They usually add 2 sets which still isn't enough. Just really annoying. Corporate must love this trick, saving them on salsa. Another thing is sometimes the person on the drive-thru intercom is completely brainless or blitzed out of his mind. read more

Fresh fast and delicious with extremely reasonable prices you get quite a lot of food for what you pay for also. You don't always want fried chicken. This is the perfect place to go for moist delicious grilled chicken. I opted for the original chicken bowl and added guacamole. There was definitely more than enough food to share. I couldn't finish it all. Looking forward to return to get their two piece mail combo that comes with two sides as I was waiting for my food. Walking in, I noticed one of the employees being kind of dirty with her gloves. I hope when she walked in the back, she would change them out. I went and put my canister on a table so I can go wash my hands. I noticed this place was disgusting food all over the floor and tables looks like it hasn't been clean in days. I went to wash my hands and to my surprise the soap discrepancy was mostly water. I don't know if you're employees are stealing the soap or the owner is frugal, went back out and waited for my food then I saw the same lady who was touching on herself, was doing it again, but this time she was scratching her head with the gloves I had a discuss on my face and the male/female employee asked me what was wrong and I explained that the other employee was disgusting and he said sorry and didn't do anything about it. The order was missing a quesadilla and when I tried to call the restaurant to tell them I get nothing but the answering machine. Otherwise the food left a lot to be desired.. the tostada bowl I had tasted like the bowl was stale and the chicken tasted like it had been reheated a couple different times... there was no salsa although it was requested. Ice cold, right from-the-fridge avocado with black rot, iffy lettuce taking up most of the space and packed into a two-day-old dried out flour tortilla, with chopped up flavorless chicken that's been sitting around for hours or days. No sauce on two of three tacos and almost enough cheese to find if you dig around the lettuce innards with a fork long enough. We tossed most of it in the trash on our way out. Food is great, sometimes it can take a minute but if you've ever cooked chicken you know you'd rather have it cooked correctly than under cooked. When it first opened up they had issues with quality but the last year they've really improved. I'd say 4 star but some reviews were a bit harsh so I'll give them a 5. read more

Don't come through, they close at 10pm not 11pm even though it says 11. Got there at 9:50pm, no one answered the intercom for 10min. Went inside to ask whoever that was like what was up, and they said we close in 5 min and I said "well I drove over here because it says you guys close at 11" like you can't make this up it's on your page. Just opened here on Irvignton. My first time Ever at a pollo loco here in Tucson. I am a picky Mexican foodie and I avoid a lot Mexican food places for the same reason. I stopped to get give this place a try and I was very pleased with service and food. . I placed my order through drive through, Michele was the person who attended me and she delivered professional service, She was very attending, and happy. The grilled chicken was very good! I LOVE this place! They have never gotten my order wrong, always been overly kind, and they always take the time to wave hello to my dog when I bring him through the drive through. Honestly I was worriedfor this place being right met to a taco bell? But it's the taco bell who needs to watch out! Customer service was good but the quality of food was horrible. Tacos were so wet I couldn't separate them from the tinfoil. They were a big sloppy disgusting mess. We also ordered a chicken Tinga burrito with breast meat. It definitely wasn't a Tinga burrito and it definitely wasn't Breast meat. Not sure what that slop was they served us. I was happy to see this fast food spot open. I love their chicken and we ate at the San Diego location often. But this spot -well I was disappointed. The chicken was dry. I ordered the 10 piece thigh and leg meal. The sides were good, you can't mess those up too much. But the chicken was dry enough that I really doubt I will go back. There are plenty of other fast food choices in that area these days that I don't have to settle for below average food. Sorry El Pollo Loco - you could do better. read more

Normally the food here is good but I don't recommend getting your food from drive threw. It's been at least 3 times where I get home and realize they gave me the wrong order or made the order wrong.
