Chipotle is great! I love the a la carte aspect of everything. Being able to customize my meal is the main reason I come here. I also like knowing that the quality of the ingredients is good. Chipotle has an app that allows me to order ahead and just run in and pick it up. Phenomenal!! I knock off one star because the rice is sometimes not quite cooked thoroughly. This is disappointing when you take a big bite of an otherwise perfect burrito and get a mouthful of crunchy rice. And sometimes the guacamole is a bit oversalted. None of these things prohibit me from coming, but I probably don't come as often as I otherwise might. Also, the location is a bit tricky to get in and out of because of the traffic on Grant and Tanque Verde. I know the store can't do anything about that, but it is a factor. read more

This is now the second time that I have come to this new location. And both times I've had the same girl take my order and she is so incredibly rude. She won't even greet you when she approaches you to take your order. She acts completely inconvenienced and annoyed the entire time, especially if you ask her to put anything Into your bowl or tacos, which is odd considering that's literally the he point of the restaurant. I've never felt so uncomfortable going to a Chipotle before. The food is fine, but I definitely won't be going back to this location. I suggest training your staff on being kind and respectful. Chipotle is usually a good option for me and I've been going to their restaurants for a long time (like 10 years). I've usually been happy with their consistency in terms of price and product, but I have to say I have been super disappointed the last couple times I went...to the point of totally avoiding now. Not sure if it's just this location, if it has to do with the struggles that COVID has presented for businesses basically everywhere, if there's a lack of care, or maybe a different supplier...maybe all the above. Regardless, the last two times I've gotten anything with meat, specifically the barbacoa and the steak, it has been super gristly and fatty to the point of completely putting me off and not being able to finish my meal. Chipotle is Chipotle, for the most part. A friend and I stopped in here for a quick lunch and while the parking was a little cramped, we managed to find a spot and go inside. Fortunately, it wasn't too busy and we didn't have to wait long in the line. The interior was clean and there wasn't a pile of trash at the trash can, like I've seen in other places before. I ordered the usual I get here: a burrito with chicken and a bunch of fixings, while my friend got a salad. The employees who helped us with our food were friendly and we paid and were out of there in no time at all. We ate our food at home and it was good. I've passed up on guacamole that was almost completely brown on top. Why aren't they paying attention to how their food looks on the line and properly taking care of it? Oh, I know, cause the employees are always screwing around. On our last visit there, one employee kept screaming so loud that I couldn't hear the music over him and other customers were giving him dirty looks. But, on the plus side, they always give me a big portion of everything, and when I ask for more or less of something, they gladly oblige. The drinking fountain and seating area are also usually clean as well. I really hope this location gets itself together. I don't have quite the affinity for Chipotle as most people I know do, but Chipotle is usually a solid choice. It's fast, and I don't feel terrible after eating it. A burrito or bowl is usually two meals for me. I like their business model, and the ingredients are always super fresh. They have queso now, which is pretty awesome, but I do prefer Qdoba. Unfortunately, we don't have those in Tucson. The staff here is usually pretty good. Though, on my most recent visit, I got a trainee, and he was having a bit of a hard time. This is the nicest chipotle I've been too. Came here for Halloween and got two chicken bowls for $4 each because we were in costume. It was a crazy good deal. The chicken was super good and they hooked it up ingredient wise pilling that sucker with guacamole, black beans, cheese and sour cream. The staff were super happy and nice too. This Chipotle is a total crapshoot. The food is pretty much standard Chipotle fare as far as flavor goes, but sometimes you get someone who knows what they're doing and sometimes you get someone who clearly would rather be anywhere else. The last time I went, I had someone who was not only incredibly rude and didn't listen to what we ordered, she did something abso-freaking-lutely disgusting as well. Allow me to paint a picture: Three hungry people walk into Chipotle, ready for a delicious meal of non-GMO burrito bowls. We walk in and see this girl hurl her ungloved hand into the pan of chips in the back, shovel one into her mouth, and without washing or gloving her now saliva-smattered hand, shoves her hand back into the chips for another one. I was in shock and ready to go, but the gents I was dining with refused, mainly because they were starving, but also because they convinced themselves that if we were not getting chips it was okay. This same girl was in charge of salsafying my bowl, and I asked for one scoop of the pico and two scoops of the corn salsa. She ladeled two ginormous scoops of pico onto my bowl. Ordinarily, the difference between one and two of their regular sized portions of salsa isn't enough to get me agitated, but this had to have been the biggest scoop of salsa Chipotle has ever made, times two. When the cashier asked her what we had, she told him, in the worlds quietest voice, one chicken bowl and one veggie bowl. When he repeated what he thought she had said back to her, she said "No, try again!" This went on for several times, her refusing to repeat herself in the most condescending tone of voice possible. All I could think was, you aren't one to talk, being that you didn't put my requested amount of salsa on my bowl (I KNOW it's trivial, but I asked for it a specific way and my request was totally disregarded). Look, the times when they sort of mess up my order, or put things together in weird fashions are not enough to get my really riled up. But when you put your slobber in the chips you are going to serve to customers, patronize your fellow employees and not bother to listen to your customer, it is bothersome to me. And for this, they get two stars knocked off. read more

I don't know why people are so hard on this location. Maybe it wasn't so great when they first opened but now that they've been there for a while and workout out all the kinks I'm all about it. I'll go out of my way to come here instead of the one by park mall. That one always has a line and this one is way faster. The employees are always super friendly - even when I come in 4 minutes prior to closing! Last time they even gave me free chips. The food is always fresh and they usually are pretty generous with their serving sizes. I've used the mobile ordering before and my food is always waiting for me which is great. The only negative for me is the parking is usually tight unless you drive to the other parking lot which I always forget about. Super glad to have a chipotle close by now! read more
