What a great surprise! El Pinon has a fantastic, comfortable atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed in mid-century modern. You must check out the basement! They just opened in December 2025. They serve very good Servant coffee and delicious Rebel pastries. The foam on the latte was extra thick, made by Jared. Jared was friendly and delightful to talk to. He made us look forward to returning with our friends. El Pinon plans to start happy hour in February. El Pinon is a wonderful addition to the coffee cafe scene in Denver. The patio, upstairs, and downstairs all offer plenty of seating. El Pinon has their own parking lot shared with LaVista Motel.

Newly opened El Piñon is the bar/cafe that is connected to the renovated La Vista motel along Colfax. The renovations inside the "lobby"-which isn't really a lobby- are adorable. Really brings you back to the 60s/70s with modern day appeal . I loved it! There are many, many options to choose from- beer, wine, cocktails- you name it, they'll make it. The espresso martini is very well crafted-not overly sweet which is what I prefer in my espresso martini! The White Russian was a bit of a let down, perhaps they used coffee liqueur instead of Kahlua? Service was great; everyone was very friendly. Very excited to see places along Colfax get updated!

Went to the newly renovated and opened El Piñon bar at La Vista Hotel off of Colfax the night before their grand opening. They have put in tremendous effort to make this space a place you want to hang out with friends. There is an upstairs area with bar seating and tables, and a downstairs space known as "Grandma's Basement," complete with wood-paneled walls, records, and lava lamps. Creative cocktails, beer, and wine are on the menu. Their espresso Martini is espresso-forward, just how I like it. There are a few snacks and baked goods, but plenty of good recommendations for a meal close by. Bartenders are friendly, and one of the owners stopped by to chat with us.

Was so excited for this space to open and it did not disappoint! The decor is so fun, especially "grandmas basement" complete with linoleum flooring. The main floor has great natural light and plenty of seats to get work done. The coffee was very good and bonus points for the crushed ice. Who definitely be a regular spot for me!

Yay! This is such an awesome spot. Super cool vibes. Great coffee. East Colfax and Denver need more like this.

We had a 5:45 PM reservation but the dining room was already full, so we sat at the bar and were immediately offered menus, water, and house-made chips and homemade salsa (Aaaah-mazing salsa!). Service was friendly and welcoming from our server Hunter to the bartenders and food runners -- everyone was happy to chat. We sampled a couple cocktails (Elderflower Prickly Pear and the Spicy Mezcal). If you like mezcal, the Spicy Mezcal is a perfect balance of heat and bright citrus. The prickly pair is too sweet for my taste buds but love the presentation. For my entrée I tried the Nomada's Best of Plate -- a grilled taco, chicken enchilada (I added green chili), and crispy carnitas (I ate these with a tortilla). All three were excellent and distinct; the chicken enchilada was my favorite and likely what I'll order next time. My wife had the crispy carnitas fajitas -- a generous portion and very easy to eat thanks to a thoughtful presentation. Highly recommend -- just be sure to make a reservation.

Had a pretty bizarre experience here. We came in at 7:45pm on a Saturday (3 of us) and were told we…read morecould sit but the kitchen had to shut down for 45 minutes. Ok no big deal I guess - it didn't look very busy, but these things happen. We were sat and our server took our drink order right away. The cocktails were very good - I tried the Living on a Pear which was very refreshing and the rest of our party had the 1858 which they liked a lot. Once we got our drinks no one came by for 30 minutes and I had to flag someone down to bring us some water. At 30 minutes we asked if chips and guac was an option while the kitchen was "temporarily not serving food" but the server said all the fryers were full with fries so no they can't do that. Ok... so we continued to wait. It was around the 45 minute mark we were able to order so they were true to their word. This is what we ordered: - Pork Belly Bacon Scoops - these were just ok. The fries were nothing to write home about and there wasn't a lot of toppings. The pork belly bits were very small and kind of hard and chewy. The sauce was decent, but just not enough of it. - Li'l Wig - I'm sad to say this was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. I requested medium rare and I don't know what the patty is made out of it, but it resembled more like meatloaf than a burger. It was very dense and had a strong gamey taste, reminded me more of bison or venison. Idk, it was just not very good. I only took a few bites and left the rest. The brioche bun was tasty and so was the W sauce. The fries were really good and had a nice crunch. I wish the appetizer used those fries instead. The service was inconsistent. We were barely checked on until the very end when we had a few different people come by and refill waters / bring the check. We never saw our original server again. It is a nice vibe inside, great lighting and decor with both indoor and outdoor seating, but I don't think I'll be returning. The bill was $133 for 3 drinks, 1 app, and 3 burgers. Felt pretty let down leaving still hungry and over $150 in the hole (after tip). Hoping it was just a fluke and other people have better experiences there.

We stopped in recently on a Sunday evening and we were glad we did. They have an interesting wine and cocktail list and we took advantage of the 4.00 beer with entree. Service was laid back, friendly, and fast. Exactly what you want with teenagers. Portions were appropriate and prices are about what you'd expect for the area. Ambiance was light and breezy, with chill music playing overhead that wasn't too loud. I'll come back here for a happy hour with friends or to celebrate an occasion without hesitation!

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.

My friends and I tried a number of the signature cocktails and had a few hot toddys that were super good. I'm personally a big gin and soda fan and loved ther housemade tonic that was in their classic G&T. Did not try any of the food but the dawgs were definitely would be tempting if I was hungry. Loved the decor and the plants all up in the space. The space is a bit more dimly lit and I think of a reasonable volume for a date. Would love to come back and spend some more time here.

As our walk got longer and extended we found ourselves in this little pocket of business area in the Park Hill neighborhood. Come to think of it, I have utilized a good handful of the restaurants in the last 5 years or so and Neighbors was one of them. I remember one of my friends (out of touch) and I came here for a flight of mezcal or tequila or some sort. The Yelp review I wrote back then dated over 5+ years. It all of a sudden became a moment of "walking back the memory lane". The time was 8:40pm or so. Although the restaurant doesn't close until 10pm, the kitchen was about to close (at 9pm.) Our stomach was still quite full from the dinner; we only needed after dinner drinks. Monday night at 8:45pm, the bar barely had any people in it. Dimly lit, the ambiance was quite exquisite. We noticed all sorts of wine cork art decorations on the walls and even the ceiling The kind waitress of ours allowed me to sample a few different reds (a Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi and a blend from Washington state.) Although the blend smelled better on the nose, the Cabernet tasted better on the palate. Decision making as to which one came easy: the Cabernet was the winner. I'm not much of a jammy Cabernet person. This Cab from Lodi, no wonder, appealed to me. Very structured, not necessarily velvety either and yet it's got a good character to it. The name of it is Klinker Brick (and the vintage is 2023). As of early June 2026, a glass of this solid Cab is/was $14.25. It became a nice "after dinner" wine to settle into the late night. As I stated earlier, this is a little picket of neighborhood that's mostly consisted of beautiful homes with $900k ranges. Unless you specifically do searches for restaurants in the very area, this will easily escape many people's notice. But that's the charm of it. Being away from the so-called "hip town vibes", I like this little quiet spot. And this wine bar's existence in it perfectly fits the description.
