    Guacamole and Chips
    Ben F.

Warm July evening- Friday, waited about ten minutes for a seat on the deck. Friendly service, if maybe a little...aloof? But whatever...they were super busy. Chips, salsa and guac to start. It was nothing special. Tasty but not unique...just chips and salsa. Drinks next- house marg for me. I had two so ‍. Skinny marg for my friend. It lacked flavor. Horchata for the kid. He liked it but was not overwhelmed. He wasn't underwhelmed either. I suppose that means he was 'whelmed.' I had the carne asada enchiladas with red sauce. Pretty good, though the main spice coming through was salt. Others had chicken enchiladas and the chimichangas. All around we enjoyed it but were not raving. The atmosphere was pleasant. Loud music dominated a little... The price was reasonable, I suppose...$100 not counting tip, for three people. I ordered two enchiladas and could only eat one. Everyone else cleaned their plate. I'd go again but the food is not a highlight.

Visited El Chupacabra's deck on a gorgeous July noon. The place was quiet, allowing for instant self-seating. The shaded deck created a relaxing vibe, perfect for sipping margaritas, munching on chips and salsa, and enjoying a burrito. The deck's ambiance is fantastic, with full shade across all seats--ideal for lingering with drinks and browsing the web. I didn't check for Wi-Fi, and my iPhone signal was weak, but it didn't detract from the experience. The chips & salsa portion was massive, easily enough for two or more. The salsa reminded me of a watery Pico de Gallo. I only ate about a fifth the chips and, since they came with my meal, I'd skip ordering this separately next time unless with a group and having drinks. The 10" burrito was substantial; I ate two-thirds and couldn't finish it. They offered to pack it up, but it was too messy to save. Next time, I might try a crispy chimichanga. Overall, lunch was enjoyable, though the bill for drinks, chips, and an entree hit around $40--higher than expected, but fine for a carefree day.

Skinny Margarita Tall with extra soda

My friend and I like to come here late on a Sunday night after she's done her work for the day. Usually should get the Pacifico and I'll get a margarita of some kind. I don't like the sweet but I like the citrus, so bartender extraordinaire Matt models the lime really well add extra soda to make it tall and delivers the perfect bitter fizzy cocktail for me. Recommend you always get the chips and salsa, because they have three side salsas to come with the fresh pico -- and the pineapple salsa is outstanding. My friend always gets the same thing, two enchiladas all beans no rice with red sauce. And I usually get some form of Christmas burrito -- meaning red and green sauce -- usually carnitas but sometimes Carne Asada -- and it's delicious. There's always enough for leftovers for the next day, if you order the large. I like to take the leftovers home to my son who appreciates the deliciousness. This place delivers. On a rainy night, there's a fireplace and plenty of locals who know where the Hospitality is. Try to sit at the bar if you can. Our neighborhood is lucky to have this place.

Not the place for veggies, but always the GOAT for vibes and good gnosh. Great vegan options always.

We visited El Chupacabra in Greenwood with a large group to celebrate my cousin's graduation, and it couldn't have been a better choice. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly--service was smooth even with our big party. The menu had great vegan and vegetarian options, which was a huge plus for our group. Everyone loved their meal--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was another highlight: spooky, eclectic, and full of character without feeling overdone. It made the whole experience feel fun and unique. We sat on the patio, which was a really nice option on a pleasant evening. The bathrooms were clean and acceptable, and everything we needed was easy to access. Highly recommend for a casual but memorable night out with friends or family--especially if you appreciate great food and a quirky, fun vibe!

El Chupacabra is an accommodating Tex-Mex type of spot that seems to really appeal to groups and a younger crowd with its red lighting and industrial metal sounding tunes pumped through the speakers. It was mostly average from start to finish here. It wasn't really that busy on drizzly weekday evening. A few groups eating and Dashers here and there doing pickups, but it took a couple minutes to locate someone to help us be seated so that was a bit choppy. Waitress points to an available table we can sit at which was clean but looked like it could use a sweep under it. To start I got a house margarita at $7 that was pretty good. we got Tacho's for the table. I was expecting something a bit more interesting, maybe it's my fault for not simply asking but they're basically Tater tots with queso dip and some garnish. Very shareable with 3-4 people but forgettable beyond that. Wouldn't recommend. I got a burrito bowl, and the portion again is quite large, enough to save for leftovers unless you're real hungry. The presentation was ok, on a nice sized plate but everything was in a separate corner which I found a bit weird rather than it be stacked or side by side like maybe a chipotle burrito bowl. The Salsa was all on the left, the cheese all at the top of the plate, the meat on the right and the greens just kind of all over. The Carne asada was pretty decent actually. Decently seasoned and a fair portion. So again, not bad but the ambience, service, and food just don't cross into the "Let's hit Chupacabra later!' status for me beyond a couple drinks for me.

So after a doctor appointment in Seattle we decided to go hear again! I'm surprised the price seemed like most food was 13 to $15 I think it's expensive mostly my Al pastor salad was so so salty I could barely eat it so I said to the waitress She said they could make a second one but my husband was done eating So she was nice and took it off the bill My husband likes his meat dish So we have gone two times and it was good Al pastor So I don't know what happened ????

Ask the Community - El Chupacabra

Do you guys fry taco chips and meat items in the same fryer? I am vegan want to make sure that before ordering taco chips. Thank you

The fryer is shared. But most menu items can be substituted and made completely vegan.

What's the best thing to order here that's not spicy at all? Hard to infer from the reviews.

I would say anything! Simply remove or put pico on the side, choose whole beans and a non spicy meat (all but the chicken tinga). You may ask your server, they are great at re-arranging dishes to suit your needs!

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

    No. They are not

Is this place good for a party of 8?

Why is this bad for kids? I took my toddler with us and she ate the chips and beans happy as clam.

It's not divey, but not hipster either which I really appreciate. They also play good classic rock in here, but switch the music to something up-tempo when it becomes evening. I feel that anyone can feel comfortable here. Ok so the food and drink. I was told that this is a whiskey bar, but I'm a tequila girl so I wasn't able to explore their whiskey library. I didn't want any of the happy hour drink options, so I just asked for a margarita and it was damn good. I had too many to admit on here. The main food attraction at Triangle Spirits is their fried chicken, which has been dubbed by some as the best in the city. You can get the chicken as a slider or sandwich, boneless skinless thighs on the happy hour menu (great deal of 10 bucks for 3 pieces and fries), or as a meal (dark or white meat with a side, or half a chicken with 2 sides). I tried the happy hour chicken basket and the dark meat meal. After trying both, I feel that the chicken on the happy hour is better than the meal. The happy hour chicken is boneless, very tender and more flavorful than their chicken on the bone. The secret mix of seasonings is more pronounced on the boneless chicken than it is with the bone in. The bone in chicken was just ok to us and didn't blow us away and it was also ridiculously expensive. I would not pay 35.00 again for what I tasted. The bone in chicken was fried well, but didn't have as much flavor as we were expecting. Also, the mac and cheese was the most disappointing. I suggest skipping that as it's obvious that the cheese is some kind or processed concoction from a box. This is still an awesome bar in Fremont. Stop in for a good time and atmosphere.

I've only been here two times and they were both for Happy Hour…read more The Happy Hour prices for drinks are pretty darn good. My go-to HH cocktail here is the Vieux Carré, but I like herbal sweet & bitter, so it's right up my alley. Currently there are five HH cocktail options and they are $7... hard to find in Seattle! I've also had the rainier & rye for $9- the rye is great, forgot to ask what kind it is. I've had a few other HH drinks, which were alright, but these stand out the most. As for food, I've only tried the spicy Seattle dog, and I would get it again. The hot dog is cut up & shaped weird (see photo), but it tastes wonderful. I heard the fried chicken is great so I'll try that next time. Also, I was excited to see that they had buckeyes on the menu, but they didn't have any when we visited. Inside is spacious and woodsy, & outside there is an enjoyable patio. Servers are nice and seem happy to be there, which always elevates my experience anywhere. I definitely recommend coming to Triangle Spirits for Happy Hour (available daily 3-5pm, dine-in only).

My friend and I walked in at 9:20 (~40 mins before closing) and got a seat at the bar. They have happy hour from 9pm-close so we ordered the curry from the happy hour menu ($10), kra pao with an egg (~$20), and drinks (lychee martini $9, Thai-Tini $9). Such a great deal!! My favorite thing had to be the yellow curry, it was so creamy and had a nice kick. The kra pao was also very good, we picked spice 2 which was pretty hot but manageable. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance, we got pretty lucky to get a walk in spot but the place was totally filled. A nice place for an upscale meal with a friend or a date!

Vibe - When I walked in, it felt like I was in a nighttime district on the streets of Thailand, eating and drinking whatever they had available. The vibe was that of a dark ambiance, with neon lights shining throughout the restaurant. Hospitality - The front-of-house staff was well-mannered and courteous, and they seated us quickly on a Monday night at 8:00 PM. It was a relatively busy night. However, we ordered fairly quickly, and the food came out within 10 to 15 minutes. Food - Food-wise, we ordered the Fried Papaya, Crispy Fried Rice, Khao Soi, Tom Yum, and Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice. Gosh, I have to say, I was blown away by the flavors and the portion sizes! Typically, four dishes can serve three people, but I felt like these could have served five. The fried papaya salad was lightly battered with a typical papaya salad dipping sauce featuring a base of fish sauce, green beans, tomatoes, and chilies. It was good. The crispy fried rice was served with lettuce wraps, and OMG, I kid you not when I tell you this is some of the crispiest rice I've ever had. It's hard to find, but when you do, you can't wait to take another bite. I thought the khao soi overall was not bad. I enjoyed that they put the fried noodles on top so that you can mix them into the curry when it's brought out. Lastly, the pork belly was well-cooked with a crispy, crunchy exterior, and served with delicious Thai-flavored fried rice! Drinks - We ordered the Thai lemon iced tea and the Thai tea cremosa. Both tasted good. Overall, I was very satisfied with this place, and if I lived here, I could see myself grabbing some late-night bites with the homies.
