If you are looking for the ultimate vineyard dining experience, do yourself a favor and book a…read moretable at Mellow Grapes immediately. From the second you pull up the driveway, you are greeted by rolling rows of vines and an atmosphere that instantly makes you drop your shoulders and relax. It completely lives up to its name--the vibe is effortlessly mellow, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Here is why this place has officially become my absolute favorite spot: 1. The Wine & Food Pairings are Masterful The culinary team here clearly works hand-in-hand with the winemakers, because the pairings are flawless. We started with a crisp, beautifully balanced white blend paired with an artisanal charcuterie board featuring locally sourced cheeses and a phenomenal house-made fig jam. For the main course, the slow-braised short rib literally melted off the bone, and when paired with their estate estate Syrah, it was pure magic. Every bite was an absolute home run. 2. Breathtaking Atmosphere & Ambiance The design of the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between rustic vineyard charm and modern elegance. We sat out on the covered patio, which offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the vineyard. As the sun began to set, they lit the fire pits and turned on string lights, creating an incredibly romantic, warm glow across the entire space. It's the kind of environment where you just want to linger for hours over dessert and another bottle. 3. World-Class Hospitality What truly elevates Mellow Grapes is the service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable without an ounce of pretentiousness. They walked us through the tasting notes of each wine, shared the history of the vineyard, and gave us brilliant recommendations based on our personal palates. The pace of the meal was perfect--we never felt rushed, yet we were perfectly looked after the entire evening. The Verdict Mellow Grapes is an absolute gem. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a perfect date night, or just want to treat yourself to an exquisite meal and fantastic wine, this place delivers on every front. The passion behind the food, the wine, and the hospitality is evident in every single detail. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit. Cheers to the team for creating such a spectacular experience!

The evening started well with great drinks and dumplings. When ordering, I explained my cheese allergy and requested risotto without cheese, confirming that cream was okay when asked. After taking our orders, our server returned to say the chef wouldn't accommodate the request because it would change the texture. I repeatedly explained that I understood the texture would be different and was completely fine with that. Given what I'd seen in the video, I found this refusal especially hard to understand. I asked several times for reconsideration and insisted on speaking with the chef directly. Despite our server going back to him more than once, the answer remained no, and he never spoke with us--even when passing our table. When I requested the general manager, I learned she was also our server. I was shocked that she couldn't resolve the issue or clarify whether refusing modifications was the owner's policy. My parents and I canceled our entrées and left very disappointed. What bothered me most was having to insist repeatedly without getting a direct conversation or an explanation beyond texture. We arrived excited and left feeling unheard.

On the outside it's a little unassuming even though the plaza itself is nice, but the decor inside was elegant. Our server was really friendly. Unfortunately, she di forget to bring into our appetizer. But we even forgot until after we were eating dinner so we didn't say anything (and it turns out it wasn't on the check either). We went at around 8:30 pm on a Friday night and there were only a few other tables, it they're open until 3am so we assume it is more of a late night spot. We both thought the food was incredible though. I had salmon (which was cooked to perfection) and cilantro rice. I ordered vegetables (zucchini, tomatoes, and broccolini) which were also surprisingly tasty. My husband had the mofongo. It was just different from the typical Puerto Rican mofongo in that didn't come with sauce other than some garlic sauce, but the taste was still great. He also liked the chicken that came with it. We will def be returning here in the future!

Breakfast here also never disappoints, and I'd even stop by for a sandwich at lunch, which tends to hit the spot too. Where it falls flat is the rest of the menu. The chicken soup, which should be a Cuban staple, is surprisingly mediocre, and overall the larger entrées just don't stand out. On the flip side, the people are friendly, the service is good, and they remember your name, giving the place that homie neighborhood feel. It's a solid stop for coffee, breakfast, or a sandwich -- just don't expect too much from the full menu.

The experience was top-notch. We started with some Spanish croquettes--crispy, creamy, and seasoned just right. Three of us had a lobster bisque-style soup that was on another level: rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. I had a fresh, simple salad, and one of the teens ordered a churrasco that was grilled perfectly. My wife had the Chicken Alfredo, and let me tell you--it was outstanding. Creamy, flavorful, and done to perfection. She's picky when it comes to pasta, and this one got her seal of approval. The bread they brought out was warm and fresh--one of those little details that sets a place apart. We enjoyed a great red wine recommended by our server, and it paired beautifully with the meal. The service overall was very good--polite and attentive--and they even sang Happy Birthday for the guest of honor, which made the night even more special. Desserts? Yes, we went all in. We shared a tiramisu, a crème brûlée, and another dessert with ice cream that I couldn't quite name, but it was ridiculously good. Everything was plated nicely, tasted homemade, and gave the meal a sweet, classy finish. The only real critique was the clearing of plates. They were clearly understaffed, and at times, our used dishes stayed on the table longer than they should have. In one instance, the next course came out before the table was cleared. Not the end of the world, but worth noting. On the way to the restroom, I caught a glimpse of the kitchen--it was spotless and organized. That says a lot. Yes, the prices are on the higher end, but it's absolutely justified. This place is one of those Miami culinary gems that gets it right. We'll definitely be back.
