Oh sure the food is great too, but the people that wait on you actually seem to like what they are doing which is such a bonus these days when everyone seems angry at everyone else. We came during Sunday brunch. The place was packed but soon enough we had a table outside on the walkway and began to peruse the menu. My go to at brunch is always Eggs Benedict- I could write a book on where to get classic Eggs Benedict in South Florida. And EJ's would be high on the list of those who make a nice hollandaise sauce. The muffin was crispy and browned, the eggs cooked just right and the hollandaise was perfection. My friends had avocado toast which looked good and the omelette. Also quite tasty. My bloody Mary was well poured and all in all it was worth the trip to Naples for breakfast (all right, I didn't JUST go for brunch but it was an incentive!) Now I only wish I could remember the name of the woman who waited on us as she was so friendly I wish she could have pulled up a chair and joined us! While there is garage parking in the complex, if you are lucky, you may get one of the many spots on the street. And if you find humor in watching people who don't know how to parallel park, try to parallel park, this place will also entertain you over and over again. Enjoyed a fantastic breakfast outside on a Saturday morning. We were seated promptly and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and cheesy potato casserole. It was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had and the only complaint about the potatoes, was that there wasn't enough! I do wish you got more food but the price is reasonable. My copilot had the Southwest Chicken Sandwich and enjoyed it as well. Overall, this was a great option because breakfast is available all day while also having lunch items. I originally went to one of Yelp's other highest rated restaurants in the area. They had a long wait so I decided to come here instead. The friendly host/manager took my name and cell phone number and told me it would be a 30 minute wait. I was seated in approximately 35 minutes. My server was Cheyenne. She was awesome! I asked her multiple times about food/drink recommendations and she was honest which I truly appreciated. She was spot on with her recommendations. I tried the strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry mimosas, all recommended by Cheyenne. All of them were good but I liked the Raspberry one the best. They were only $6/apiece which is a bargain in a hot area like this one. For breakfast I ordered the monkey waffle platter which came with a waffle with chocolate chips, macadamia nuts, pineapple, and whipped cream, along with 2 eggs and ham. The waffle was absolutely delicious. It was sweet but not too sweet and had a great texture to it. I used a little bit of the syrup they provided but I didn't really need it - the waffle was amazing on its own. The eggs and ham that came with it were also good. I ordered the eggs over medium and they were closer to over easy but still good. The ham was good. Definitely a solid spot for breakfast/brunch in downtown Naples. The place is located in an apartment complex where several of the retail outlets are vacant or in the middle of closing and leaving (e.g. the steak house and the beer pub). Kudos to the host/manager for hustling, closely observing the operation, and getting folks seated as quickly as possible. Service was good and friendly. So that was all good We ordered a chicken mozzarella panini and a turkey panini. The chicken panini was not good. It was dry and way too bland. It needed more pesto Mayo on it or some additional seasoning. I've never had to add salt to a sandwich before, but that was the only way to battle the bland chicken. It was a 3/10 The turkey panini was better. It was good and much better balanced for flavors. 8/10. We both got sweet potato fries which were actually very good. 8/10. The server can really change the whole dining experience. This is our 4th and probably last time here. Every time we've visited Naples we make an effort to come to EJ's. On this occasion our server never greeted us, didn't offer any recommendations after I asked him some questions (his response.... everything on the menu is popular to eat), didn't bring us an extra plate like we asked, never came to check to see if we needed anything after dropping off the food. Only spoke to our serve twice, to order and to pay. If the place was busy I'd understand but they were not. He just didn't care. We waited over 30 minutes for a table and by the time we got our food it was one hour total from the time we received the text that we are on the waiting list. It's a very popular place so plan ahead, we had a less enjoyable experience only because we were stressed that we were going to miss our 11:30 boat tour lol. The food did come out without an extensive wait but don't come here if you have other plans and are in a rush. Our server was super sweet and knew all of our questions in an instant, making some great recommendations to help my girlfriend decide what she should go for on the menu. My orange juice really did taste fresh squeezed which i think they do onsite. My eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked with a medium poach where the yolks we're slightly runny. I wasn't much a fan of the cheesy potatoes because it was mostly just fried cheese with shredded potatoes mixed in which I felt was too heavy for a side for my liking. First time trying eggs Benny and my friend is a big Benny enthusiast and she loved them! I got the most basic platter but it's a good sign if they can't mess up something so simple. Their drinks! My friend and I both got the same drink (after both agreeing we wouldn't drink, I don't know why we both lie when we know we're gonna drink) We got the Bay Breeze, had to look it up to remember, which is Pineapple, Grapefruit, and wine distilled vodka. We visited EJ's while vising Naples last November. The weather was perfect, so we sat out on their patio. The restaurant seemed very busy, but the service did not lack. My family of 4 ordered Garden benedict, french toast platter with bacon and eggs and one of kids dish. Everything was delicious! Of course my kids devoured their food before anyone else, and my husband and I enjoyed our food. Garden benedict was light and refreshing and little sweetness from french toast complemented our meal. Parking is along the street which leads into a marina, and EJ's has a very ample outdoor seating area. The area has very ornate buildings that are residential. We sat outside, service friendly and attentive, very clean bathrooms. The coffee was very good. My wife had her usual bacon and eggs with fruit. I had the EJ's omelette. It's corned beef hash, mushroom, onion and cheddar. It was good, not omg. The sourdough toast was a little too sour, and unbuttered which I'm not fond of. The butter packets are always too hard to spread. Also, another single slice serving. The grits were ok, I added butter and salt. The coffee was good.
