I really wanted to love this new café on Marco Island. My first visit was during their second week of opening. I grabbed a matcha, and it was pretty average, but I figured they were still getting settled and I'd give them another try. Came back a second time with my family, and unfortunately the experience was even rougher. The place was completely packed inside and out, which is great to see for a new spot but almost every table looked like they were waiting on something. We walked in and weren't greeted at all, then waited about 10 minutes just to be seated. Once we finally sat down, we waited another 20 minutes and never saw a server. A few other tables around us ended up leaving too, so clearly it wasn't just us. We ended up walking out, which I rarely do. I love supporting new local businesses, and I understand growing pains, but the service issues here were hard to overlook. I'm hoping they work out the kinks, because the space has potential but for now, it was a disappointing visit.

Finally, an amazing Mediterranean restaurant in Marco, Cafe Marquise. On any Saturday evening in Marco there are many options but not if you're wanting Mediterranean food. We arrived at Marquise's restaurant and were greeted by Ahmet with a great welcoming atmosphere. A beautiful and simple decor that reflects the quaint surroundings of Marco. We started our meal by ordering several plates as we wanted to try the different flavors and experience the Mediterranean style offerings. First, the Humus Falafel Bowl, it had tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled onions, toasted chickpeas, hummus and the falafels. What an impressive combination, all the flavors perfectly complement each other. We also had the Carrot Tarator, an amazing blend of carrots, walnut, dill and yogurt; it was the creamiest most delicious thing I've ever eaten! The Braised Artichoke, tender with peas and feta. A light and rich flavor. The wine recommendation went perfectly with all our choices, a great selection. Our mains consisted of the Sautéed Calamari & Leek, the combination of the calamari sautéed with the orange and dill glaze had us coming back for more. Then there was the Manti, delicious tiny dumplings filled with lamb on a beautiful tomato, paprika and a yogurt topping that when combined, just melted in your mouth. We completed the meal with a delightful chocolate and pistachio baklava. So light and delicious. We would definitely recommend Cafe Marquise if you're looking for an amazing, authentic Mediterranean experience!

We had a very pleasant time here. The atmosphere had a nice Mediterranean feel, and everything was very clean and bright. The waiters were quick, kind and professional. One of them even gave my toddler an extra serving of toast. The prices were relatively high, but so was the food quality. The portions were enough to fill you up, without being too large. If you are looking for a nice relaxing Mediterranean atmosphere, higher quality food, and good service I would recommend Cafe Marquise.

The food was exquisitely fresh and flavorful. We had an appetizer, 3 main plates and wine from their well curated selection. The dessert was fantastic as well. The service was great; so friendly and helpful. We felt like long time patrons. The ambiance is nice. A very clean and simple decor.

Great food and atmosphere. Service was very good. We got a bunch of entrees and shared family style. Would recommend highly.

A hidden gem in large outdoor mall. Breakfast/lunch place recently started serving (Turkish) dinner. Carrot Tartor, Borek and Marti were all gourmet quality. Quiet but tasteful outdoor dining area. For now, at least, one of the few good restaurants on the island where there are not huge crowds at dinner time.

Initially, the service was slow, and I'm not sure if it was because of how busy it was. We got our water quick but drinks and pita took a good 10minutes. It's not a quiet place, as they are busy, but worth the wait and trying the food. We ordered the Beirut platter and a mixed kabob platter. Both were portioned for 1 person each and it was so delicious. I would recommend!! We also tried the baklava, which was perfect in every bite. It wasn't super sweet or dry.

For the first couples of years we dined here at least 3-4 X per season, but have stopped coming since after Covid for no particular reason. We came back for the first time in years, and were reminded how Outstanding the food is. You start off with the puffy bread. OMG!! The best bread ever. Comes out warm. Yummy. Then we had to get our favorite appetizer. It's Chef Rachid sampler platter and has a variety of mezzes. I highly recommend this appetizer to try different samplings of Turkish food. Be aware though, this sampler is eggplant heavy with 4 different preparations. All is delicious. 2 -3 types of hummus. The original is tasty, but we loved the beet one. See picture for the different samplings. For dinner, I had the branzino special; whole fish fillet. My husband had the half chicken. Both were delicious. Honestly the food is what you would expect in a high-end "chefy" restaurant - it was that well prepared with special spices. The vibe of this restaurant is very casual, with ceiling exposed with exhaust pipe running across. Seating is tight, especially for 2 people. Though the food is outstanding, we wouldn't bring out of town guests here who want to get a Naples experience. It would be great take-out however. They opened up a takeout counter since we were here last. Good idea. It was crowded the night we came, and have always been in prior years we have dined here. In future, we may just take-out if we can't get a table. The prices are reasonable. If they upgraded their dining decor, they could probably charge more. However, I don't think they are trying to compete with the 5th Avenue restaurants. For the most part, service was very good. Sophia was our waitress and she was exceptional. One of the waiters gave us a detailed explanation of each of the mezzes. The lady at the front desk reception was professional but not friendly. She sat us in a small 2 seater when there were open 4 tops. From a business perspective, I understand that they wanted to keep it open for guests with larger numbers than a couple. However, it makes dining not as comfortable. Overall, very good experience and will definitely come back. The food really is that good.

The restaurant had a huge patio (but with many tables) and is connected to its indoor dining area, so even if you sit inside you can still have a taste of the surroundings. The tables are arranged close to each other so it was not convenient for me to get out of my seat -- even if I was pretty slim. For food, I got the beets salad and the Beef tajine. The beets salad was disappointing -- arugula was just-unfrozen and tasted crispy (unbelievable), the roasted beets only weighed 2.5oz, even less than the feta cheese. The suace of my tajine was rich and flavorful. It was a good idea to add sundried tomato to the sauce. I did enjoy the diced green beans and butternut squash. However, the beef was too chewy. They could have used much fattier cuts. Pita was OK, at least not overly charred. Service was good. My server was quite friendly and the food came out in reasonable amount of time. And when I asked him about the ingredients in the tajine, he could not answer it accurately but he helped me ask the kitchen.
