Cilbir and Spicy Potatoes ($24)Turkish-style poached eggs with a spiced yogurt base. The eggs were slightly overcooked, which was a bit disappointing for a dish that's otherwise hard to get wrong. That said, the Aleppo pepper-infused butter and spicy potatoes were standouts and added great depth. The carb ratio felt off: there were too many potatoes, especially with the pita included. The dish could benefit from some vegetables or a bit more balance overall.
Pistachio Pancakes ($26)A stack of three pancakes topped with pistachio sauce and two scoops of ice cream. The sauce was pleasantly not overly sweet, and the pistachio flavour came through clearly. Definitely a dish to share, it can feel quite heavy if you tackle it solo. read more
