A+ for service, efficiency and just for being close to my gym. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in the busselling downtown Glendale area sits someones answer to a quick breakfast spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].. One of the few chain places I like. BB

Sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and the truffle hash browns

I figured this shop would be overrated because it's so popular but it's sooo good! I was browsing the menu when I walked in and the cashier asked if I've been here before then explained the popular menu items. She was really sweet! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was also a bit empty in there since it was a Tuesday morning so I was able to easily grab a seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sausage and egg sandwich: it was okay! Nothing to write home about but the brioche bread made it super filling. Not a ton of flavor but I'd get a different menu item next time. The truffle hash browns: amazing 10/10 no notes. I'll definitely be returning for those hash browns and to try the other menu items!

Eggslut is one of those breakfast chains that just hit every time. First of all the cashier is so friendly at this location. I ordered the Fairfax and the egg was perfectly fluffed and cooked, I did add a chicken sausage which I felt like was a little too salty for my liking. They unfortunately ran out of the truffle hash brown bites, and it was only 12:30 PM, however, I ordered the slut instead, and that is always really yummy too.

The customer service was fantastic. The cashier was very nice and welcoming. The service itself took a little bit but it is nice seeing them cook everything to order. The staff appeared happy and looked to get along very well too which is always pleasant to see [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was pretty empty but very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were a few other people there but nothing crazy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food! So the orange juice is definitely a must! The hashbrowns were alright. They were nice and crispy and also pretty thick. They kind of lacked some seasoning though, maybe some extra salt and pepper would've made the difference. They were also a little soggy in the inside. The Fairfax sandwich with their Dijon-aise was pretty good. After a few bites however, the "wetness" of the eggs got a little bit too much for me. I'm not sure if it is the Dijon-aise sauce that made them like that or what, but it kind of became a bit overpowering after a while. The eggs themselves were delicious and nicely seasoned, just too soggy for me.

I always wanted to get eggslut to see what the hype was about and was overall not disappointed but not fully satisfied either. We were glad that there is a Glendale location so it was more accessible to us compared to the other location. Service was nice and quick and it wasn't a bad place to eat at. We had the Fairfax and the egg salad sandwich. At the time they didn't have hash browns available. The sandwiches were honestly good, but not having like had browns or fries kinda made it overly simple, or something just felt missing. I realized how much I'm used to it or how much fries or some kind of side and such would complement it well!

It looks so good that I started eating it

I finally made it over to Eggslut and the food was good but not exactly earth-shattering. The sandwich was fine, nothing I'd go chasing across town for, but the potato tots had me weak. Crispy, salty, golden perfection. Honestly they were the Beyoncé of the whole meal, stealing the spotlight from everything else. The service was a rollercoaster. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The business was open but the restrooms were mysteriously locked, and then suddenly everything opened right as the crowd started rolling in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Luckily we beat the rush, but it all felt a little chaotic. The saving grace of the whole experience was Sonia at the register. She was warm, she was bubbly, she asked how everything was, and when we said it was good she lit up like she just won an award. If I could rate her separately, she'd get five stars on her own. Overall it was fun to try once, but between the restroom drama and the slightly messy vibe, I don't think I'll be rushing back. Sonia, though, if you're reading this, you're the real MVP.

    Vanilla Cold Brew
    Jason M.

First off, Sonia was very polite and offered a sample of the orange juice, which was very friendly of her. The Fairfax sandwich was a 9/10. It was creamy, full of flavor, and very savory. The vanilla cold brew coffee was delicious. The cold brew alone without the cold foam was good. Once I mixed the cold foam and coffee, it was a perfect combination. The orange juice was hands squeezed, which as a person who likes natural fruit drinks, was a huge plus. One of the best orange juices I've ever tried. Overall, the service from Sonia was a 10/10, friendly and polite. The food and drinks were a 9/10. The only thing I would change is that I wish they added strips of bacon to the Fairfax. Will return again and order something different to see what other food sandwiches they have! Thank you EGGSLUT!

I love the Fairfax so much, I had one delivered to BUR after arriving early for a flight that was then delayed 4hrs.

TLDR: Order the Fairfax, thank me later. Consider taking a bite before leaving, and if stale (a complaint I'm seeing in many 1-3star reviews), talk to the employees about a remake -- they want you leaving happy with your order! See my 2023 review for Venice location: https://www.yelp.com/biz/eggslut-los-angeles-8?hrid=hDnCa1RjVF50pbOaad_usg&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Longer: I saw a photo on social media years (over a decade??) ago when social media was poor quality photos with weird filters (RIP) and bookmarked in my gMaps to try whenever convenient while in LA. I'm a big fan of breakfast sandwiches, but don't usually bother to eat outside of my house 'cause paying someone else to make something I make really well (at a fraction of the cost) does not usually compute. Eggslut, for whatever reason, felt like it would be different. Boy, oh boy, am I grateful I finally got the chance to try a few years ago, and now make every effort to sink my teeth into a sandwich at least once per trip to LA. Looks like locations in Hong Kong and Singapore recently closed. Since global expansion isn't the move, how about SF? Or is the cost of eggs (half joking) causing friction in the business? Seems plenty of people reviewing this location are new to the club, so the market is not saturated stateside. I can't speak to the ambience nor IRL service, as I've only ordered delivery from this location, but my deliveries have always been packaged perfectly for transit, arriving as if I just walked into the shop and picked it up myself. I can see how a stale brioche would turn the experience sour real quick, but thankfully for once I've landed on the upper side of luck.

Every time we go to the Americana, we always try a new sandwich from Eggslut hoping for an amazing breakfast sandwich. This time was no different and we tried the Sausage, Egg and Cheese. We've tried four sandwiches so far and they were all just average. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Staff is extremely nice though and the place is very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sadly, I think that was our last sandwich here.

The Fairfax, egg salad sandwich and hash brown
    Karen L.

If you love eggs you'll love their sandwiches. We tried the Fairfax. It's served on a soft brioche bread and their eggs have a soft fluffy texture with a little kick of spice. We also tried their egg salad sandwich. It was also tasty with their honey mustard aioli. The only complaint I had with our meal was the truffle hash brown. It was a little on the salty side. We went on a Sunday around 11 and there was a small line. We also had to wait around 10 min for our food. Street parking is available around the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some seating inside as well as some on the outside as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall a good experience and would visit again.

This was my first time having Eggslut when I've heard about it so much for so long and I was NOT disappointed AT ALL. The service was wonderful, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and friendly conversation. The cashier asked if I had been there before and when I replied no, he kindly went over the menu for me and gave me some recommendations, which answered all the questions I had in my head. He was patient while I took time to choose and made sure anything specific was noted. When my food was ready, another person gave it with another genuine smile and wished me a happy day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior looked quaint, we took our order to go but I'd love to stay next time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food, THE FOOD!!!! It was DELICIOUS!!! Literally mouthwatering, I almost went to get more to take home. I'm going to find any excuse to go back and I really wish I had one nearby. I don't know how I will ever live without it

Truffle hash browns - a bit salty but good!
    Hiromi R.

Pretty good breakfast sandwich with all the goodies that I usually look for in an ideal breakfast sandwich! Personally I still prefer "Muffin can stop us" down the street, but it's still worth a try. For 2 bacon/cheese/egg sandwiches, 2 orange juices, and 2 potato hash browns, I paid $50. I found this to be a bit overpriced, however everything in this city is just sky rocketing in price, so unfortunately this is reality. The staff had an assembly line of sandwiches going simultaneously, so I'm not quite sure why it took 20mins for our meal to be ready. But thankfully I found the meal worth the wait, and enjoyed my (very messy!) sandwich. Adding the avocado (for additional $2.50) was worth it, in my opinion. The orange juice was also really good! I'd recommend it :) Overall this was a nice experience and I'd come back!

I was shopping at the Galleria and I really needed a good breakfast to tide me over. Eggslut was right around the corner so we had to try it. We got their breakfast sandwiches (turkey, egg & cheese) and we also tried the French toast sticks served with maple custard. It's kind've the ideal breakfast sandwich. The brioche bun is so soft. The eggs are perfectly cooked, not over or under. And the cheese and honey mustard sauce bring it all together. My biggest qualm was that I could probably have eaten a second one, it was over for me in about 4 bites. The French toast sticks were equally awesome. Every edge of the brioche bread was crispy fried, the bread inside was soft, every millimeter was coated in cinnamon sugar, and it went great with the sweet and creamy custard. That is worth splurging on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It does get crowded, you should mostly just come here for a quick breakfast or take it to go somewhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have some seating but it gets busy and can be limited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're nearby, and craving quick but delicious breakfast food, this is a great choice.

The flavor was ok, but nothing to write home about. And the shrimp were very small - what my husband and I call "bait" shrimp. Not the large shrimp you usually get at a nice restaurant. Since i was still hungry, I ordered a cobbler. It was fine, but not great. Texture was a bit strange - not traditional. Probably won't come back. The food is just not that interesting. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

The menu has a lot of offerings but isn't too overwhelming. We got the crispy pork belly, which came with some pork rind chips and guacamole. This was probably the best thing we had at the restaurant. The pork was thick and crispy. The guacamole was delicious. Our kid loved the pork rinds. I got the regular tostada w pork. It was a good size and tasted like a salad w beans. But I typically love tostadas so this was fine! My husband got the burger which was literally just a burger. No frills. lol! We liked the fries. We got a taco plate for our kid. We didn't get the milk that I think was supposed to accompany it but we got the churro dessert which came w two churros, a side of ice cream, and some cream. Overall, a good experience. Plentiful parking around the area at designated free lots. Outdoor seating available. We saw a lot of people w their dogs sitting outside.

We thought he was a new employee because he had no clue what he was doing. He had NO personality no interest in general. When he first came to our table he didn't say hello or offer us appetizers or a cocktail. He asked for our dinner order. We ordered the fajita quesadilla and a combo plate. Daniel brought me the wrong taco; the taco was mostly lettuce and cheese very little meat ~ I was surprised because when I ordered this in the past it was excellent and done right (Not his fault tho he did write down my taco order incorrectly). He never came back to our table to check on us. When we were done we asked for a box because we had a lot of food left. He looked at it and brought us a tiny box. What was he thinking?? We asked the bus boy for another and he brought us the correct size. It was hard to get Daniels attention; we tried a few times to flag him down but he wasn't looking at us. We watched him a few different times throughout our time there, to see how he was with the other tables. We came to the conclusion that he looked like a fish out of water. Maybe he was overwhelmed even though the restaurant was a little more than half full last night at 5:30. Then he brought us our check while we were still eating! I told him I wanted to order dessert. Again, he had no clue what he was doing. I suggest the management take a look at this review and address this issue with him. Our experiences here have always been great, been coming for years. We love this place but we would never have Daniel as our server again.

The service was outstanding; they refilled said chips and AMAZING salsa three times. The food (generous portions) came our quickly and they refilled the waters before being asked. What can you make vegan? I asked, since the menu didn't mention anything specifically. The waiter, unbothered, began listing what they could make me but I stopped him pretty quickly at enchiladas. They ended up being good but the star of the plate was their vegan rice; it was clearly different from what all the meat eaters got on their plates. There's was yellow/orange, but mine was green and fragrant- cilantro and lime clearly central in the cooking. SO GOOD! I will definitely come back for the service and to try something else from the ready list of vegan entrees they seemed happy to offer off-menu.

Very attentive, patient with our decent-sized party, and very professional and friendly the entire time. He makes an amazing margarita and gave us great food recommendations as well. He also handled all of our party shenanigans with friendliness and good humor, which definitely did not go unnoticed. Huge thank you to Javier and all of the staff for making our experience so wonderful. We'll absolutely be back again!
