The food was beyond what expected. The fluffy texture of the pancakes was delicious. (though it would be best to share amongst a party) Service: The employees are friendly and helped us right away when we checked in. The yelp eaitlust feature was something I haven't used before and it's quite convenient as we had put ourselves in the waitlist as we were heading to the restaurant. Great feature. Ambience: we had the chance to sit on the patio with a nice view. Great and cozy place to have a breakfast. read more

Had a wonderful experience wanted to show my wife and authentic Waikiki business from the 70s. Is it not a fancy storefront you're not paying for the building you're paying for the experience. Wonderful group of local people run a local business that serves great food at reasonable prices staff was hospitable and polite, and willing to offer suggestions for local activities. Local Moko was on point corn, beef hash just the way I like it. Amazing aloha spirit. Highly recommend anybody who wants an authentic experience of the way things used to be. One of my friends came late and we had sat down before she arrived so we had to pull up a chair. She was given a hard time by Ryan (the manager I believe) - rudely asked to put on a jacket as she was in a tank top, then asked to sit alone away from the rest of us because she wasn't here when we first sat down. There was absolutely no reason for this because there was several empty tables and no one was at the restaurant. Not sure why my friend was targeted, but she was only person of color present at the restaurant and the way in which Ryan was speaking to and looking at her was extremely disturbing, unwelcoming, and disrespectful. He should not be working in the hospitality industry. read more

We found this place by accident. A happy little accident! The food was so good. We got the vegetable omelette, banana pancakes, waffles with strawberries and Nutella. It was quick, easy, and delicious. The waiter was confused and did mess up a bit on the order but all forgiven bc the food was so good. Maybe it's the NY in me but the coffee has to be good. And the coffee was meh. Not bad but not great. Leave your hotel buffett, take a walk to eggs and things. Save some cash and enjoy! read more

Food was great. The portions were hearty. I had the island fried rice and unfortunately it was cold. The waffle was delightful and fluffy and flavorful even without the great fruit addition. Server was friendly and informative. read more

The food and service were great. The restaurant is cozy and warm environment. The only drawback was the long wait to be seated. But then again, that's what you have to expect from a good restaurant. read more

Awesome place to come if in Waikiki and wanting a breakfast that isn't to over priced and where service is good. Parking may be quiet hard to find but besides that everything is good. Being seated for us was quiet fast. Seating was upstairs and food tasted great. Everything came out in a timely manner. Great experience with a great atmosphere. Feel free to stop by I'm sure you'll be happy with the service and food but most especially the bill haha. read more

I used to love this place. The prices are reflective of a place capitalizing on its history. Food is still yummy but portions are a shadow of what they were. The staff seems to be going though the motions. Sorry to see this hopefully I just had a bad day. read more

My wife and I always come here when in Honolulu! ItS really known for its sweeter side of breakfast. The pancakes are phenomenal! I get the bacon spinach omelette which is never disappointing . The whipped macadamia pancakes are perfection! The whipped cream is perfect and I'm usually not even a fan of much whipped cream! Tip- get on the waitlist virtually through the yelp account! It will save you time as this place can get very very busy with a long wait! read more

Great great food - good prices a lot of hawaiian pineapple dishes. Would highly recommend as a great brunch spot

All I'm going to say is the eggs benedict n things w/ Portuguese sausage was worth the waiting time. I would recommended joint the waitlist because they do get busy! But their service is great! They bought out the food within 10-15min after ordering! Staff were very kind & generous read more

A bit over rated. Join the waitlist before going. French toast was a bit over cooked, hard. I've been here once before and had a way different experience with the food. It gets a 3 because of that. read more

Found this place on my iPhone map. Just a short walk from our hotel. They told us about a 40 minute wait. Turned out only to be about 20 minutes. I didn't give five stars because we had to eat upstairs. They have dining downstairs. Not sure what the deal was / is. The food was very tasty. The service was great. Oh, the stairs are outside. The vibe was very good service was extraordinary fast. Definitely try one of those funky good pancakes. They are amazing.

Yum yum yummm! At this location, you check in on the first level and when your table is ready, you go up the stairs for dine-in seating. I ordered coffee, the Kona Au Lait for my drink. For food, I ordered the No Ka Oi Set A: Portuguese sausage with 2 over easy eggs and a scoop of rice AND a pancake sampler (banana, strawberry and blueberries). The food was cooked to perfection and the pancakes were SO DELICIOUS. In addition, the guava and coconut syrup are to die for . Definitely coming back when I can!!! read more

Eggs 'n Things (or ENT) serves yummy and very filling Hawaiian breakfast with great service. Last time I was here was 5 years ago and I remember distinctly pouring that amazing coconut syrup on some macadamia nut pancakes! This time, I went with the original Hawaiian Loco Moco and it did not disappoint. It wasn't the best I've had (shout out to Rainbow Drive-In), but it was worth the try. Beware it's a lot of food so plan for leftovers! The Portuguese sausage was yum and I eye'd the award-winning cajun aji for a minute that I might just have to get next time. Basically, ENT is a great joint for breakfast in Waikiki. There may be a wait given the popularity and proximity to all the hotels. They do 5% off for military or Kama'aina! read more

So. Many. Mixed feelings. I came with my tour group of 8 Japanese students and my partner, because ENT was on their list of "must-sees" in Waikiki. We shopped around the retail section of the store while we waited for our table at the upstairs restaurant (wait was estimated to be about 40 minutes). The two workers downstairs, Samantha and John, were SO sweet and helpful, making small conversation and whatnot while we waited for our tables. They were super helpful with my students, getting them as many deals and discounts as they could. 5+ stars for the retail section! Now, here's where the review goes downhill. We made our way up to the restaurant side after our buzzer went off, and there was a table for 10 waiting for us, which I was pretty excited about because at first we were told we would be broken up into two tables. As we walked in, I asked the hostess if we could get separate checks in which she proceeded to scoff at me. She stated that it's a hassle for the server and it's up to him whether or not he'll do it. As a server, I know how terrible it is to serve a large party at prime times, especially when that party is filled with foreign children who don't know the tipping etiquette, who also all require separate checks. I tried to be as polite as possible to our server, I believe his name was Aaron, and he agreed to separate our checks. He did his work quick, going around the table and using proficient Japanese to speak to my students about their order. All the food was great with large portions - I got the Spinach Bacon and Cheese Omelet ($12.50) with the side of 3 buttermilk pancakes, upgraded to the mac nut pancakes (+$4). We got our separated checks and were told to bring them to the register. The lady at the cash register (who shall not be named) gave attitude the entire time she was ringing us up (being rude to my students, snatching the receipts from their hands and tossing their cash to them - mind you, not even properly handing it to them like actual humans). Prior to being seated, I asked if they could automatically add 18% to all of our checks, so that they knew we wouldn't be gypping them, and it would be easier for my students to pay. With that being said, she did add on the 18% to each of or checks, but for some odd reason, everyone's 18% was a whopping $3.02. I noticed it after a few of my students paid that everyone was paying the same amount. My check, before tax, was $16.50, so 18% of that should be $2.97 On the other hand, one of my girls' total before tax was roughly $9, and she still ended up paying the same $3.02 - almost 30%! I pointed this out to the cashier, in which she snapped back and said it was correct. I corrected her and told her that $3 is 30% of $9, in which she said something under her breath, and gave my student a dollar back. She then continued to charge all my other students the same $3.02, and at that point, I knew I would be writing a yelp review and didn't bother to fight her any further. As a prime tourist restaurant, I would have thought service would be better to those said prime customers (aka tourists). I wanted to show these Japanese students the aloha spirit of Hawaii, but instead was left with a bad experience for all of us. I may be returning to the retail portion sometime in the future with my next set of students, but I don't think I will be encouraging anyone else to dine at the restaurant anytime soon. read more

This is one of our favorite breakfast places! Love the food and atmosphere! We go every time we are in Hawaii.

Amazing place for good and local breakfast/brunch. The only bad thing is the place does not take reservation so you have to queue ( for two we waited 30 minutes) Nothing fancy but the place looks authentic and friendly. Great and efficient service We ordered one iced cappuccino and a regular hot coffee. We shared the loco Hawaiian set B for two. It includes : a loco moco with mushroom onions gravy sauce ( delicious) and three fluffy pancakes( coconut, pineapple and macadamia nuts). Everything was good and tasty. But the quantities are huge so I'm glad we shared ! Definitely a place to visit for brunch. The other locations are to try read more

Part of why I originally chose to come here was the cute name - it felt unique and homely, which Eggs 'n Things definitely lived up to! I heard the wait cold be long, so my family and I got here 10 minutes before opening. Thankfully, we were seated very quickly and got right to ordering. I got the salmon benedict with an upgrade to macadamia nut pancakes while the others with me got omelets. We had to customize one of the omelets because they didn't have any with Portuguese sausage on the menu even though they offered it as a meat side. The food came all at once after 15ish minutes, so not a bad wait time. I was a little disappointed by my Benedict because the eggs weren't as cooked as I liked - the whites were still runny and the yolk was completely liquid. The English muffin was rather large though, which was a pleasant surprise! My pancakes were pretty crumbly instead of fluffy, but I enjoyed them with the special guava syrup they had. Throughout our meal, our coffee was refilled several times and the waiters were all around very helpful and sweet. Overall, it was a nice breakfast with some friendly staff, but the food left something to be desired. Not sure if I'd come here again if I had the option... read more

Food was decent but sad for the service. For some reason our waitress had a bit of attitude, rushed us to order and moved on. I didn't see her once after ordering and had to find someone else just for water. We asked the guy for the check and he said he would get our waitress. Silence......until we got up ourselves and went to the cashier to get our check. Very weird and not that serious to come back here. read more

Having eaten at this very location pre-pandemic, I thought I would still enjoy the food here. Unfortunately, the service and some of the food were questionable. If you are traveling with someone that has a disability, do not expect any accommodations or considerations to be made. Though not pictured, the chicken and waffles were glorified chicken nuggets and waffles. Be prepared to fight the wildlife (birds) for your food. You will not get much support from the staff on that front. Our server seemed to be bothered when we asked for condiments or silver. Not to mention having my plate taken from me while I was eating. Sadly, I don't think I would eat here again. read more

I could see this restaurant from my lanai for eight days before I visited since I don't usually eat breakfast food in the morning. It's a good thing that I didn't discover this place sooner. I would usually see a line every morning but now I now why. This is one of the best breakfast places I've ever eaten at. The pancakes are perfect whether use the coconut or maple syrup provided. I haven't had pancakes this good for over 30 years & that's not all. The potatoes they serve are truly delicious too and their prices are reasonable as well. The whole experience was memorable to say the least and I haven't even the bacon yet. Wow, spectacular perfectly cooked bacon. I'm glad I didn't but If I would have discovered this place earlier, I'm sure I would have returned with some extra weight. The perfect breakfast place for me. read more
