This has been our go-to weekly breakfast place for 40 years. Although they have moved locations and have two more locations, this is consistently the best breakfast in Waikiki. When the line at the Saratoga location is long, we ask if we can sit at the counter. It faces out and it's peaceful. One of my favorite places to be. read more

This restaurant was recommended, however, reception guy taking the wait list could use more courtesy/people skills. Not a good first impression being on the rude side dealing with customer. The waiters upstairs were pleasant and food (breakfast) was delivered timely. Some of the food items were not as hot/fresh as expected but overall decent. Other breakfast locations were tried during our Hawaii visiting, which rated much higher than Eggs and Things. Wait times were also a bit lengthy. read more

Great place for breakfast. They actually know how to make an over easy egg. Great service as well.

Loco loco is a must try Great food and service pulse large portions. The coffee is great. Had to come twice during our vacation and we will definitely be back next time. read more

I love this place! If you're looking for a fancy place this isn't it, but it definitely gives you that local feel. From the time I walked in until the time I left I received excellent customer service. Due to the size of the place there was a short wait, but it's worth it and the wait wasn't long for receiving our food. There's so many authentic selections you don't know which one to choose. If in town, you should definitely try it out. read more

100% yes. The food was so yummy, the staff was incredible, and it was a perfect little spot that made me feel welcomed!

They have everything you could possibly want for breakfast. The best coffee I think I've ever had, and I'm a barista. We had the honey chicken and waffles, the donuts and a traditional Hawaiian breakfast and everything was amazing, service was fast and everyone was happy to be there. The servers were so sweet and generous! The acai bowl, pancakes, and eggs Benedict were delicious!

My family of 9 popped in here for breakfast on a late Tuesday morning. We waited about 45 minutes and then we headed up the staircase to where the main dining was located. When we reached the top, we were standing there for 5 minutes without directions until an employee saw and assisted us. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, quaint, and none of us felt squished or overcrowded. Our waitress was nice, but did not regularly check up on our table, so we went with no drinks for some period of time. Otherwise, the food was quite nice and the price was decent for the outcome. I would recommend checking out this place, but ask for a menu when you get there. The online menu had little to no information or clarification. read more

Honestly I am not sure why there is so much hype around Eggs 'n Things and why there is such a ridiculous wait. We've come about 3 times, and each time walk away still just as confused why it's so popular. It's a pretty solid but normal breakfast place - with a good amount of options for omelettes, local Hawaiian dishes, and pancakes, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary. We ordered the Veggie Omelette, which I would give a B-grade to it. Pretty typical omelette with a fair amount of veggies inside. A small side of salsa included for some extra flavor. We got this with a side of their famous pancakes. We also got the Portuguese Sausage + Eggs - again, nothing out of the ordinary. If anything, everything was a little on the oily side. We also got this with their famous pancakes. The pancakes are indeed fluffy - but I'm honestly not quite sure why they boast it as so delicious when it's a seemingly simple and unassuming dish. The highlights of Egg 'n Things were the guava syrup and their coconut syrup = which were where all the taste was really at. Portion sizes are large and super filling, but nothing to really rave about. They're very strict here as well! No take-outs, no phone orders, and no seating unless your entire party is present. You ARE allowed to bring back food if you ordered it at the restaurant and couldn't finish it all. With a minimum of 30-mins wait for a party of 2 (and much much longer for a larger party), I don't think Eggs 'n Things is worth your time - even if they have delicious syrup options! read more

Eggs 'n Things is one of those places where I would not wait a single minute for a table. We got there right around 6:15 am and were seated right away. I liked the loco moco (definitely not as good as Cinnamon's), but my husband ordered the waffle, which tasted like any standard waffle that you can get at any standard breakfast spot. What soured our experience though, was the fact that they charge $6 for a side of bacon, and it's not even good quality bacon - it's like literally 2 slices of the cheapest bacon that you can buy at the grocery store. For an early breakfast it's ok (we had to leave for the airport early so we didn't have time to wait around for the places we wanted to go to since they didn't open until 7:30 am), but I would definitely choose another spot if you have the flexibility. read more

Went there at 8:15 on a Tuesday morning. Had a 45 minute wait. Went upstairs and was seated. Niece ordered pancakes and I got the Ahi with eggs and pancakes. Took about 20 minutes to get food. Waitress took order and checked in when we got food. We never saw her afterwards. Had to flag down people to get water and syrup. Food was excellent and unique but service was just okay. Prices were an average of $16.95 per plate of food. We will go back. read more

Yummy pancakes. Great service. Fresh strawberries. Great family fun location. Totally recommend.

This is the best place to eat breakfast in Hawaii. The eggs were perfect and the pancakes were delicious. The Hawaiian Loco Moco was great! I suggest eating here! The service is amazing! Reccomend the banana pancakes. I'm not a banana fan but they were amazing. They are very buttery !

We have tried to have breakfast at this restaurant and we have were not successful so we decided order via Yelp using Grubhub we waited over an hour. I called the restaurant and the recommendation was to go their and wait 30 minutes to pick up the food. We canceled our order after waiting for two hours - The manager did call however he called after I was waiting for 30 minutes with Grubhub to cancel. Overall terrible experience. read more

This is a good breakfast spot. They have everything you would want. Try the Macnut pancakes with the coconut sauce it taste like hawaii. I always get the smoked salmon eggs benedict my favorite. The eggs were perfect. There are only a small number of tables because of Covid but they were well spaced and I felt safe eating here. read more

Great food. Tables get a little crowded as they are pretty packed in there but overall the food makes up for it

3 senior citizens and our cousin visiting from Texas enjoyed an "ono-licious" (delicious) and more-than-ample breakfast of waffles, pancakes, and fried rice. Outstanding and efficient service on a busy Sunday morning! Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food which would have cost more at a finer dining location. Waikiki is not a usual destination for the locals, but the service and food are worth the drive and quick service. Take the bus, park at the zoo, or even at the Intʻl Market Place. Itʻs worth the exercise if you have to walk a few blocks :) read more

As a local, I was curious about trying this place out so the boyfriend & I dined in for a late weekday lunch. We checked in at the front desk & was told to go upstairs when our pager buzzes (downstairs was the café & gift shop). In less than 10 minutes we were seated at a two-person table outside. The restaurant is open air so watch out for the little birdies! Anyways, I ordered a medium-rare Ribeye Steak & Eggs, with a side of Buttermilk Pancakes. The boyfriend ordered the Island Style Fried Rice. While we waited, I caught glipses of extra powdery pancakes topped with six-inches of whipped cream ordered by other patrons. Apparently everyone was getting one. Moments later, our sever made his way to our table & I was already a little disappointed... Unlike steak I've had recently, this platter wasn't sizzling in steak juice. The server offered a bottle of steak sauce, but I politely declined. The steak was good nonetheless, but it was bland by itself. I had about two small pieces left before I gave up. So I moved on to the buttermilk pancakes with three choices of syrups--maple, coconut & guava. Unfortunately the pancakes weren't fluffy at all. The Island Style Fried Rice was pretty good, but it was a whole plateful so we requested a take-out box for our leftovers. Nevermind the Waikiki prices & the constant crowd--majority of whom are fashionably dressed Japanese tourists; I should of known just because it's in Waikiki doesn't mean it's that great. But then again, it's my fault for ordering steak for breakfast. read more

We ate at Eggs n' Things twice during our five day stay in Oahu. That should tell you something right? Oh yes, the banana pancakes lived up to its famous reputation. Sing it for me Jack! The coconut syrup on top of my banana pancakes made it one of the best breakfasts I've had...ever. I love that it tasted like real coconut and not coconut-flavored syrup. There's a huge difference. Thank goodness I'm a nosey eater and peeked at all the orders coming out of the kitchen or else I would have missed out on the Hawaiian fried rice (giant portion could easily have fed my kids and I). The second time I ordered it, I took half of it to go...and right onto a plane heading back to the mainland. So much better than plane food even at room temperature. My only regret was not trying more entrees but hopefully, next time will come around sooner than later. It's been weeks but my daughter and I still reminisce about those pancakes and that syrup! read more

Eggs 'n Things Saratoga - Hawaiian style fried rice with eggs! So good & large enough to share. Banana pancakes with coconut syrup: ridiculously good. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Food here was average and definitely not worth the 1 1/2 hour wait. Portions were small compared to other similar spots (e.g., Egg and I, The Broken Yolk, etc.) on the mainland. The coffee was severd pipping hot, so handle with care. Seating was upstairs and the floor was somewhat slippery. The whole experience of dining there was underwhelming, can't think of anything that stood out. read more

Eggs 'n Things is to Hawaii AS Wings n' Things is to California. Ummm, not quite! The Hawaiians do it bigger and better than us. Eggs in the food, check. Cartoon egg logo and cute photo-ops, check. The1st floor of the restaurant is dedicated to "egg" souvenirs, check check check. 1st floor (right side): Souvenir shop 1st floor (left side): Smoothies, drinks and a quick bite to eat. 2nd floor: The restaurant! The perfect tropical Hawaiian vibe! Felt like we were dining in a tree house with the birds flying and chirping on the balcony. The slightly humid weather meshed w/ the sea breeze. Very relaxing. **THE FOOD GIST** ISLAND STYLE FRIED RICE & EGG ($11.45): Dude, this fried rice had almost everything you could imagine that existed on the island. Bok choy, bean sprouts, fish cake, green onions, Canadian bacon, Portuguese sausage, spam, ham, eggs, carrots...the whole nine yards with a fried egg plopped on top. A CRAZY dish and a bit too much at first. But, after a few bites I was hooked. Couldn't put my fork down. Nicely seasoned w/ good texture on the rice. Enough to share with 2 ppl. PORTUGUESE SAUSAGE & EGGS ($9.95): can't go to Hawaii and not have Portuguese sausage and banana pancakes, it's a must. Especially for the hubs. His meal came w/ sausage, rice (or potatoes), 2 fresh eggs cooked HIS way (scrambled) and we upgraded from buttermilk pancakes to BANANA pancakes. Gotta make Jack Johnson proud :). Savory sausage along w/ sweet fluffy pancakes drizzled w/ their signature coconut syrup, we were in heaven. Comfort food at its best. Had to get some fresh PAPAYA (kiddo begged), which was pretty darn expensive since it is an island grown fruit (something like $5 for 1/2). Wasn't even that sweet. GUAVA, PINEAPPLE, PAPAYA DRINK: refreshing, tangy tropical juice!! Eggs 'n Things offered good food with a cool ambiance. A bit on the pricey side since it was more commercialized. We did our touristy thing, now off to look for some hidden gems. TID BITS: 1) About 1.5 blocks from the beach 2) Expect to wait during peak hours 3) KID friendly 4) Clean bathrooms p.s. I couldn't resist and bought a bottle of coconut syrup for home. So GOOD! read more

Just another ok breakfast spot that gets PACKED! I do like that this place has a good variety of breakfast items, from the sweet to savory! I suggest getting yourself any breakfast meal since it already comes with a side of pancakes- and you can pay extra for the specialty flavored pancakes! So get yourself some meat n' eggs or omelet and choose the pineapple, coconut, banana or mac nut pancakes- and you must, must have it with coconut or guava syrup! You must! We had the Portuguese sausage n' eggs and the Spam n' eggs- I asked to make my Spam extra crispy, and unlike some places they actually were happy to do so! The coconut pancakes with coconut or guava was yummy, I liked the coconut sprinkles for added flavor and texture. The pineapple pancakes with an extra sprinkling of mac nuts won me over tho! Alternate the syrups to figure out which one you like best- or be like me... use one pancake per syrup! The waffles are also yummy if you're not too hungry! One day I had a coffee and pastry for breakfast, then a couple hours we came across Eggs N' Things and saw there wasn't a wait- so we took advantage! haha I got the chocolate chip waffle cause I wanted something chocolatey- and it satisfied!!! Also, they sell the syrups so you can take it back home. And ordering an all pancakes breakfast here is 5 pancakes- I can't do it! I need a little of everything and the meals are perfect for me! read more

My trip to Oahu is not complete without visiting Eggs 'n Things. I was sad last time I went there because they were in the process of moving to a new location and closed down the old place. They re-opened at Saratoga Rd days after I already left. The new location is more convenient as it is closer to tourist area. I generally prefer breakfast over lunch or dinner so this explains my love for Eggs 'n Things. My favorite thing to get there: Macadamia nut waffle with coconut syrup; not the pancake. Waffle is always better than pancake anyways. Ask for extra madacamia nuts and shredded coconut as toppings. Pour coconut syrup generously on top and enjoy your crispy, nutty waffle. I don't like their regular maple syrup and guava syrup. We also got spam and green onion omelete and it was very good. They also serve crepes, french toasts and other meat with egg combos. QUICK TIP: 1 FREE DESSERT WITH THE PURCHASE OF ANY TWO MEALS FROM ALOHA KOREA MAGAZINE. 4 stars!! I am a fan!! Eggs N' Things is yummylicious!! read more

Great food that was worth the longer wait. Service was poor, was out of coffee for most of the time in the restaurant.

So we happened to stumble across this for breakfast. Talk about a happy accident! We were greeted immediately. They will give you a pager to make your way up the the second floor dining area. Since we were there early, it wasn't very busy yet and our pager went off quickly. Our waiter was awesome. So polite and helpful. Our drinks were filled often and with a smile. I ordered the spinach, bacon and cheese omelet. I comes with a short stack but you can upgrade the type of pancakes you'd like. Of course I had to order the macadamia nut pancakes. The omelet was delicious. Served with a side of salsa to give it a little kick. The pancakes? Fricken awesome! To top them off they have maple syrup, guava syrup and coconut syrup at every table. It was my first time having coconut syrup. Delicious!! Went perfectly with the macadamia nuts of course! I would come back here every morning if I could. Mahalo! read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for years and I found out a couple fun facts. It used to be located near Ena road. It relocated but it did more than that, they now have 3 locations in Waikiki. This is happy news! The menu is simple Hawaiian style breakfast entrees with Hawaiian size portions! Keep that in mind, if you're a small eater - you might want to consider sharing entrees. From loco moco to eggs with fried rice down to the amazing fluffy and spongy pancakes with maple, guava, or coconut syrup, this restaurant will provide you with a light or hearty selection from their menu. I am a fan of the Portuguese sausage omelet with added cheddar cheese. The eggs are perfectly fluffy and filled with chopped Portuguese sausage! The country potatoes that I ordered as a side, it was crispy crunchy on the outside and delicate inside! They do potatoes right! If you're visiting Waikiki and want a different option that is local to us kamaaina's, then sign in, wait for your party to be called, get seated and enjoy and a meal made from aloha! :) read more

Still my fave breakfast spot. Moved to a different 2nd story location but food and friendly service still 5 stars. Highlights: - Macadamia nut pancakes: with coconut syrup they're still one of the best breakfasts on the island. Lowlights: - Hours change: closes at 10pm so no longer late night breakfast service. After landing in Honolulu early in the morning, we headed straight to Eggs and Things. We heard it gets packed so we made sure to come early. We got seated right away and everyone was so friendly that it put us in the Aloha State mind. Since there was 6 of us we pretty much ordered half the menu and of course everything was delicious. The best was the Mahi Mahi with rice, just grilled on a flat top and a squeeze of lemon juice, heaven. The chocolate chip pan cakes were so fluffy with coconut syrup it tasted like an almond joy..so ono! read more
