When in Waikiki you must try this popular breakfast spot right in the middle of the action. You're right in front of the famous Waikiki Beach and you're eating amazing food! We went with the ube pancakes and the waffle with acai sorbet and mixed fruits. Both were absolutely amazing! Never knew ube and pancakes went well together but the ube sauce poured over the pancakes were the right amount of sweetness and maple syrup wasn't needed. And I love personally love Acai and tend to eat a bowl nearly everyday. Never though to add acai sorbet on top of a waffle though. Servers here are friendly and attentive, and they refilled our coffees several times. It doesn't get better than eating good food and eating enjoying the island/beach atmosphere. read more

It's been a minute since we've been here. It was during the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl. Honestly, the food was better that time. My SIL got the French Toast and it was so stale, she had to use a knife to cut it. That's disappointing. She said the strawberries were delicious though. My BIL had the pancakes and he couldn't finish them because of the amount. He said they were good though. The whipped cream and crushed macadamias were a nice touch. My wife had a Strawberry Belgian waffle that she said was ok and would've been better if they used a sweeter waffle batter instead of plain pancake batter. She also loved the fresh strawberries. I had the pineapple and sour cream crepes and they were delicious. Hot as magma initially, which was good. I also had a side of bacon which was outstanding. It was thick cut and cooked perfectly. My husband is in Hawaii for work and just had breakfast at this restaurant before heading to the airport to come home. He said the restaurant was bright and spacious and well-maintained. It had a nice vibe to it. He ordered the Hawaii Hawaiian style Loco Moco, and said it was very good. The portion size was great, and the food was seasoned well and very flavorful. He said he was sad that he hadn't had a chance to go to this restaurant until the day that he was leaving, because he would have definitely gone back multiple times. I haven't been to Eggs 'n Things since post pandemic in 2023. I used to go regularly to the Piikoi location so I was hoping for the same welcoming atmosphere. This was quite different. This location feels like your anywhere mainland diner except no ice cream sundae on the menu. We ordered the special chocolate and banana french toast and a plate of kalbi with a side of pancakes. Drinks were POG and cold brew coffee. French toast didn't reinvent the wheel for me. What we noticed was they had no coconut syrup or guava syrup like their other locations. I reach for the coconut syrup normally. The kalbi was super thin and not what we thought it would be. There are many other places that serve kalbi that are cheaper but have more grnerous portions. Overall I'd stick to the Piikoi location. This was convenience for us since just outside our hotel. It felt like the staff was more interested in getting us seated, fed, and out as fast as they can to get the next person in so it was in ways a rushed experience. read more

This local breakfast joint came highly recommended but they seriously missed the mark. The wait on Sunday morning was more than 90 minutes and you can join the waitlist on Yelp. The inside was pretty small which makes the wait time make sense. Our server was not attentive and was very obviously not in a good mood. We ordered the egg scrambled n things, the pineapple chicken and waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, and the breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was delicious 5/5. It's also a pretty good size. The chicken was really good and flavorful, but the waffle was overcooked. The pancakes were cold when they came out and were not soft and fluffy. They were hard to cut and rubbery when chewed. The "whip cream" they charge extra for is just Cool Whip. The scrambled eggs were also cold when they came out and were overcooked. They were out of green onions so they subbed with white onions. I thought they'd be diced but they came out slivered instead. The price thst you pay for the quality of food you get isn't worth it. I'd find somewhere else to eat. read more

I heard a lot about Eggs 'n Things so I had to give it a try! Upon arriving, I expected there would be a wait as we had gotten there around 8am. Overall wait was around 30ish minutes. Upon entering we were greeted and drinks were served pretty quickly. We then met our server and put our order in. I had gotten the Plantation Pork Chop which is pretty much a piece of Ham. It tasted nothing like a pork chop unfortunately. My girlfriend had gotten the Eggs Benedict which when eating, there were eggshells in it. We decided to try Eggs 'n Things because it was close to our hotel and it was already getting late. The food was okay, but nothing particularly memorable or worth going out of your way for. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. It took quite a while for our server to greet us, and after taking our order, she rarely checked back on our table. We specifically requested that mushrooms be removed from one of our dishes, but that request was overlooked. It was a simple modification, and it felt like little attention was given to our order. I understand that this location stays busy, especially being right across from the beach, but being busy shouldn't come at the expense of customer service. The restaurant itself also feels outdated and could benefit from some renovations and updates. With its popularity and established reputation, I expected a much better overall experience.
