Line is always long call ahead if you can. Small place decent food meh service. Took forever to get noticed and then served

Don't know what the hype was about this place. Definitely not worth the wait. I could've had the same, if not better, breakfast from Denny's. read more

My 5 year old and I have eaten most breakfasts here while on the Island. We usually get there around 625 so we miss the first initial 6 am seating. The wait has not been more than 30 minutes at that time of day. Staff is quick and friendly. read more

Great service, amazing food. Wish I had taken a before photo of the Hawaiian Moco Loco but I was way too excited to try it - definitely recommend. We will be stopping by again before we leave ! read more

Considering that I'd seen the long lines before, I should've reconsidered coming on an empty stomach. We were staying at a nearby hotel and my husband wanted to try it so we got up early to avoid the breakfast rush. Lets just say we didn't get up early enough. When we arrived there was a long line, but not unbearably long. We were told that it would be 30 minute wait and since it would take 30 minutes to figure out where else we could eat (unless we went to the McDonalds next door) we decided to wait. Once we got to the host about 40 minutes later, he was very nice and polite. We learned the correct way to order from the mistakes of the party before us. We were asked if we'd be dining in or taking out food to go. My husband asked if there were tables available and we were told "Yes, there are tables for available for everyone". That was true, in a sense. After we ordered our food we were given a number and told to pay inside. Then we saw exactly what we were dealing with. There are only about 10 tables and a bar style booth inside, so more than likely you have to wait until a party finishes before you can have a seat. That was about a 20 minute wait, but luckily there was a rather irrational child behind us in line to make the wait more exciting (insert extreme sarcasm here). Finally, a table opened up and we were able to be seated. Considering that we'd been waiting in line for 20 minutes for a table, I thought that maybe we'd eat soon after we were seated. Instead, it seemed like maybe our food order was prepared after we were seated. I've been to enough pancake joints in my life to know that it doesn't take 40 minutes to make flap jacks and scrambled eggs. But another 40 minutes is what it took to get our food. I'd starting seeing mirages of the waiter bringing our food to the table. When the food finally arrived I was three notches past hungry. I got the strawberry pancakes for myself, banana for my husband and silver dollars for my toddler. For the price, the strawberries served could've had a little more life to them. They looked like they'd been thawed, boiled, refrozen and thawed again. Needless to say they were pushed to the side of the dish. I had my first experience with Portuguese sausage and it was really good, wish I hadn't waited so long to try it. My pancakes were good too, but they would've been even better with edible strawberries. My husband enjoyed his meal as well, so there aren't many complaints in that area. Although the food was good, I don't think I'll be going again, at least not to this location. There was far too much waiting: 40 to place the order, 20 for the table and 40 for our food. The food was good, but it's not worth the wait. I'd rather drive to Cinnamon's. I may have to wait be seated, but at least the service is prompt afterwards. So no, I don't recommend going to Eggs n Things Waikiki unless you just ate right before and have time to kill, because you'll certainly be waiting an insane amount of time to be fed. read more

FINALLY made it in for breakfast!! Frequent visitors to the island being daughter in University. Woke up starved this am at 0800 and immediately thought of pancakes n fish n eggs n Eggs n things just happened to be near our hotel. Went online to research the menu and found the option to reserve a table at a specified time. I reserved for a party of 4 our wait was for 2 hours so had time to slowly wake up my hotel hold n grab our table after only a short wait at the door. The long messy line did not intimidate us like in times before where we walked up and turned around. I would strongly suggest reserving on the app your table and being on time for suggested time. Inside we were greeted seated and served and checked in on coffee refills and leftover box and checked out by a different employee never the same person 2x ha normally may be vexing but it was seem less they wrk together and we enjoyed the Ohana varied personalities. The food ... was so darn good .. so good We had Fresh mahi breakfast, generous slice of perfectly prepared fish with side of eggs and unbelievably good hotcakes with whipped butter. Also burrito wrap with Portuguese sausage. All while gazing out at the beautiful blue ocean aka Waikiki beach. Darn just remembered I forgot to buy there pancake mix take back home mainland. The restaurant closes at 2 pm the list was closed hours before that for online reservations so glad we got in! read more

Old school breakfast - delicious food, good service, reasonable prices. Most breakfast entrees come with a Swedish pancake appetizer.

The food and service was great. This is a must go to breakfast in Waikiki. Great view of the ocean as well

Great service great food the omelettes were great and the pancakes were excellent must try when In Honolulu Hawaii

Clean, relaxing atmosphere. Coffee and pancakes were top notch. Both full of flavor and just delicious. Wonderful wait staff.

Very good food and excellent service! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Hawaii. Be sure to plan ahead because the only downside is that it had a long wait time. read more

The wait was about an hour for breakfast but the service and the turn around were quick! Food was large in portion size and tasted great

Absolutely worth the wait! The food is incredible. Staff is very accommodating and friendly, and work together as a team. Was impressed with the efficiency of service from the time we joined the waitlist through payment. We will definitely be back! Great experience. read more

This place was within walking distance of our hotel and was recommended to us, while vacationing in Hawaii. We got here around 8am, and there was already a line. When you get there, you order first, and then they'll seat you. I ordered a steak and eggs, with a side of macadamia pancakes. ALL of it was delicious! Service was great also! I highly recommend trying this place out! read more

Reasonably priced. Good food. Menu had lots to select from. Favorite of the locals. Long wait time.

Really solid! Had their pork eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Egg was cooked just right level of runny and the holindaise sauce paired really well with the pork and yolk read more

Food was good but waited very long to get seated. Tried: Hawaiian style loco moco. Delicious. Will order again Island style crab cake benedit. Was ok. Probably won't order this again. Ordered and prepaid for meal before seating which saved some wait time. This place is not for big party and staffs don't know how to handle this. We saw few empty tables for a long time while there's long line outside because staffs were trying to accommodate big party to sit together which is nice however made the wait even longer for people behind. read more

Amazing!!!!!! I got coconut pancakes with whipped cream, the Portuguese sausages, eggs and açaí bowl. Food is yummy, priced well ($8-$12 per dish) and the service is great. Get there early like by 9am because there's a line usually after that time. Also, free refills on coffee. read more

Quick and friendly service. My kid's ordered and loved the chocolate chip pancakes (loaded with chocolate chips in the pancakes and topped off with more chocolate chips). The original mochi waffle was excellent. The corned beef hash was tasty. read more

We got up early to be on the waitlist took about 1-2 hours so used that time to get ready for the day , good things take time and it was def worth the wait !! Loco moco is by far one of the best I've had !!! Love the vibes here and service was amazing! Mahalo read more

We were able to avoid the crazy long line by coming at 4:30. Breakfast for supper is always a fun treat while on vacation. Having to order before being seated was annoying, especially with kids in tow. There was a nice view of the ocean fun people watching while we waited for our food. Food wise, my daughter ordered the package sampler and was pleasantly surprised with the mountain of whipped cream. Definitely a meal to share, three giant pancakes that were deliciously fluffy and covered with pineapple, strawberry and coconut. I wouldn't recommend New York streak and eggs. The streak was dry and had no seasoning. The potatoes were stale and and tasted freezer burnt. Not the colorful potatoes pictured in the menu. read more

Awesome food and staff!!!I would recommend to anyone in Hawaii to go there for breakfast. Great experience! ate there 3 times on vacation!

I'm sure the food here tastes amazing and the staff are very nice but I wouldn't know. I waitlisted twice on my trip and never made it because I waited 2+ hours. This place doesn't have accurate wait times, it will say 60-90 minutes but after 2 hours I'll still be 20th in line. I would suggest accurate wait times, putting a limit on the wait list, and having reservations available instead of FCFS. I'm sure it will be easier on everyone. Hopefully next time I can get a chance to eat here :) read more

+ordered the crab cake eggs benedict and loco moco; food was good +decent portion size +i like how you pay up front when you order -place is smaller than it looks in the outside so the line moves slow. We arrived around 830am and even though the line didn't look long, it was about a 30m wait would go back if there wasn't a line or try a different location read more

Poor service, no friendly greeting. I asked to dine in & also place a takeout order. They brought both dishes out at the same time. I've never had to spell out I needed the take out order made when I'm Almost finished my meal. I ordered banana pancakes, eggs & bacon. The eggs & bacon were mediocre, but the pancakes were bland, rubbery, & topped with mound of whipped cream. I was underwhelmed to say the least. For $42 it was probably worth $15 read more

Tourist trap.. I live a few blocks away and always seen its really busy. We finally go and try it out since it looked slow today. Upon arrival we notice that its not like other restaurants, the ordering process pretty awkward. While you wait in line to be seated, you read through the menu and order at the host stand. Not a bad concept if you want a high turn over rate for the restaurant, but then again you also pay before sitting down. This is where it starts to go down hill. You pay and then also tip before you even sit down to eat, what restaurant makes you tip before you even get sat...? We ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes for our food which seem normal for most restaurants understandable. Only thing wrong is that we ordered before we sat down, the whole idea is to make service faster. After finally getting most of our food, that was the last time we got any intentional service. Server comes puts our drinks down and walks away, nothing else said or asked. After awhile food comes out, small portion, and a burger that was cooked on the flat top with a weight on top. No taste or flavor, since juices where pressed out while cooking it. Server ended up giving our fries to table next to us, so we ended up getting them after all other food was gone. No refills since servers were non existent or uncaring, seriously they didn't wanna be there either..lol Only thing good about the place is the view of canoes, nice but proves its only for tourists.. Much better going off to Denys if you want a real breakfast, and then save $20 in the process. Oh yeah didn't mention the occasional dirty ass pigeons that fly in a waddle around before fly off over your food.. read more

Great restaurant with amazing service and food. Amazing spot to get a real Hawaiian breakfast. The people who eat here regularly are also very kind, one guy even bought meals for my friend and I, after talking about what was fun to do around Waikiki. Read so many good reviews we had to try. Not long of a wait. Staff runs one smooth operation. We had the best view with our breakfast and the best breakfast. First off this business has been run for years and they know how to do it. Most of the staff are Hawaiian locals, so very pleasant, and you truly felt as if you were in Hawaii. Service was quick, pleasant, yummy, and so enjoyable. Staff were amazing. Would recommend to anyone to give this a try. They won't disappoint in any aspect:) read more

Great breakfast spot if you are visiting Hawaii, make sure you join the waitlist on Yelp or else you can be waiting a while.

Great spot! Customer service and food. There's usually a wait. But definitely Worth it.
