Decided to try this place after hearing good things about it. I enjoyed it and it was OK! Service was great and fast. Couple things. You wait in line and look at the menu...and still people don't know what they want to eat. Yes, there's plenty Japanese visitors and they do have menus in both English and Japanese. Well, our ordering went pretty smooth...then we stood in an area (thank goodness there wasn't a line there) and paid at the cashier..then was told to go back to where we were just standing to wait to get seated. Um. not the most efficient. I did like the fact that we paid first and didn't have to worry about the waiting at the end to close our bill. Also, no mention of a kama'aina rate or anything, just the advertisement of the iDcard. We were lucky enough to get a seat by the open wall looking out to the beach. And I give props cause there was space to navigate this gigantuan stroller my friend had. Not to mention her baby is super cute so everyone took a peek as we went by. I do feel for the folks that got seated at the "bar"seating looking at the wall. Self serve drinks but they had coffee and water on the counter.. ? Yet I still had to go fill my own coffee at the self service area...That's ok. Food was good. I liked the portion size and I ate everything, surprisingly...I musta been quite hungry. I got the corned beef hash plate with rice and pancakes - girl at the front said it was cheaper than getting the plate with pancakes and a side of rice. I still have no idea how much it cost. But, the food was cooked fresh, came out hot and quick. I think the prices could be slightly cheaper since everything is served on paper plates with plastic silverware. Like I said, service was great. Dane, (I think that was his name) brought us water and offered to refill a couple times and checked up on us to make sure everything was tasting good. He's actually the only person I remember but there was another server who came to the table. I think next time I would try just the pancakes. I saw a plate go by and it looked so ono! read more

Ok. - nothing special Good basic breakfast. But not a "Wow!!!" either. Not worth the hour+ wait. read more

Really great food! I definitely recommend adding yourself to the waiting list prior to arrival. Staff was super nice. Huge portions! We ordered 4 items to share amongst our family of 5 ( 3 kids under the age of 11) and had plenty of left ove . Overall really enjoyed everything! read more

Sucker ... that was me for going here. This is IHOP with a different name. Location is very convenient. The line and ordering process was very organized. Got eggs, home fries, and some spam w/pancakes. $50 bill for 2 people ... average food ... sounds like my typical IHOP experience. Nice view though of Waikiki Beach. read more

Very good breakfast. Take advantage of the waitlist online. The waits can be close to 2 hours.

We stopped in around brunch time, and luckily we didn't have to wait long, maybe 15-20 minutes. The kalua pork pork benedict was delicious, and came with pancakes with different flavors of syrup (including guava). read more

This restaurant is very popular! They have a pretty efficient method of serving such a large volumes of customers. It has a 15ish min wait & a little pricey, you also have to order before entering the restaurant, and in addition the dining area is quite small but that doesn't affect the deliciousness of the food! This was my first time here, I ordered island style fried rice with eggs. This was a very filling and tasty dish! This fried rice was full of a variety of veggies and had a savory flavor. I was thoroughly pleased with the service here and with the food! read more

Visited this Eggs N Things location for breakfast the morning after my son's prom. I had only visited their location that is on the other end of Waikiki once many years ago and I was not very impressed at the time so I have never returned . . . until now! I don't remember the menu they had years ago being as vast or as interesting as the menu they had on this day and I don't remember the food that I had years ago being as delicious as it was on this morning! We had crepes, steak and eggs, corned beef hash, strawberry pancakes and Portuguese sausage, eggs and hash browns. Everything was absolutely delicious! The breakfast potatoes that came with the crepes were soooo good and so was everything else. We stayed at the Hyatt, but my son's friends were staying at the Aston which gave a 10% discount here so that was really nice. The prices were reasonable however and the service was quick. The wait, of course, was long, but I'm so glad that you can get on a waitlist on your phone because that sure beats just having to sit outside and wait for 1 1/2 hours. Just be careful and make sure you select the right location as we noticed a few people who got there and then realized they had put themselves on the wrong location's waiting list and they were quite upset. The dining area is really small but not claustrophobic feeling and I like overlooking the outside. I would definitely go back to this location if I'm in the Waikiki area, but might opt for the Ala Moana location as a better alternative as there is parking and I think the wait times are shorter. Hopefully the food and service will be the same. read more

The food was delicious I personally loved their home fries and the service was excellent !

I honestly don't understand the long wait. The pancakes are okay. A place for a very casual, quick bite. read more

Good food, very friendly staff! It was a long wait to get in. Unfortunately several other people had missed the iPad checkin process when you get there. Felt sorry for some of them. They walked by it and waited for staff to come up to the front, that made their wait time even longer. Nice location, Waikiki Beach is right across the street, good ocean views. read more

Best eggs in town. Friendly staff and fast service. Was on the waitlist in 27th spot but was sat down in less than an hour., definitely worth waiting read more

We went there twice in a 5 day span because it was a great breakfast place. The Belgium waffle was really light and fluffy with extra whip cream and macadamia nuts. The breakfast burrito was legit. Make sure you put your name on the wait list because wait times will be up to an hour. But it goes quick. Also, it has a great view of the beach. read more

Just absolutely amazing. Their food is great. The staff is amazing and the wait isn't too bad for it being a small diner.

This is just like a typical diner but with better food. I've heard the wait is generally very long so we got there early and joined the waitlist and we sat down less than 10 minutes later. Service was great and fast. We ordered the Fresh Strawberry Whipped Belgian waffles. The strawberries were fresh, the whipped cream was so good and the waffle was nice a crispy. We also ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which was also very delicious. Only issue was there was mushrooms on the Benedict but that was a minor thing. All in all fantastic experience. Definitely recommend that you join the waitlist early! read more

I wish we had an Eggs 'n Things back home. The Aloha Food Factory is not quite the same. I ordered the Portuguese Sausage with Poached Eggs and a side of Macadamia Nut Pancakes, and my husband ordered the Pork Chop with Over Easy Eggs and Strawberry Nut Pancakes and Plantation Tea. Everything was good. The meat was flavorful. I've never had a pork chop Hawaiian style, before, but it is like a hybrid between ham and pork chop. It's really good. The pancakes come with Macadamia Nuts, toasted and sprinkled on, rather than in the batter. It tastes just as good as if it was inside. The syrups were delicious. I thought the Coconut Syrup was a really good, not too sweet compliment to the flavor of the pancakes. My hubbie preferred the Guava Syrup. If you get the pancakes as a side, they give you 3 cakes. It was more than enough food for me. I gave some of my sausages and pancakes to my husband. We got a great view, next to the beach, with the windows wide open. read more

We heard great things about this place but unfortunately, we didn't order the right food. Garlic shrimp, rib eye steak. Should have stuck with breakfast. Our server was eggcellent!!! That's why I'm giving 4 stars. read more

My dad's friend was telling us about this place so we decided to try it. The line was out the door, down the stairs, and onto to the sidewalk. It was a Sunday morning so I expected to wait for breakfast. We were in line for like a hour before we got to the door. The host told us that it was taking a long because the card machine wasn't connecting to the internet or something. I didn't know this was a order first, then get a table kind of place. I'm not a huge fan of that style. We wanted to sit by the window but there were no tables open so we got to sit facing a wall! Yay....it was sad. The view next to the window would have been nice. I ordered a Plantation Iced Tea, which was iced tea with pineapple juice. It was good. For breakfast, I ordered the Today's Special Omelet which had Portuguese Sausage, spinach, zucchini, and cheese. You can pick between mozzarella, cheddar, and pepper jack. I chose pepper jack. You could get potatoes, rice, or pancakes as the side. I got rice and added macadamia nut pancakes. The pancakes were good! They have macadamia nuts in the pancake batter plus they had nuts on top. AND they have maple, guava, and coconut syrup on the tables. The coconut was good. My omelet was a little runny inside and I hated that. The service was okay for the most part. The food came out pretty fast but they forgot my rice. Not too much of a big deal because they brought it out fast after I asked for it. I probably won't come back here, but glad I tried it. read more

Writing this review bc I was so surprised that they only had 3 stars. Eggs n Things is our favorite breakfast spot in HNL. Yes, there is always a wait but it's only because it's SO good and so centrally located. And yes, it's slightly overpriced but you're in Waikiki... what else do you expect? The pancakes are the fluffiest I've ever had. My husband and I regularly get their potato and bacon omelette with chocolate chip pancakes. It always hits the spot!! read more

Despite all the negative reviews on yelp, I actually enjoyed the food I got here. The system at this place is more Japanese rather than American dining and it is surely not express either. You have to get in line and they take your order while in line and once you get to the registar, you pay for your food. And then you have to wait for an table and your order to come. You also have to get drinks yourself, and I hated the water cup they have. It is so Japanese size...you take one sip and you have to go back to refill. However, the food was great. I got strawberry macadamia nut pancakes and loco moco. Their loco moco had bacon and that bacon makes the plate so much better! The pancake had the perfect balance of sweetness. I love the whipped creme they pile on top of their pancakes. Their pancakes are pretty addictive. Their price is pretty affordable too, considering how everything is so expensive, expecially in waikiki area. read more

We had brunch here, party of 4. We ordered banana crepe, banana buttermilk pancakes, and Portuguese sausage omlette. Simply, just below average foods, not worth waiting 45 minutes. Small restaurant with view of Waikiki Beach(maybe the reason why they are busy) and place wasn't clean with stick floor and trash on the floor. I wouldn't recommend it and will not return to this place. read more

Great view of the beach! If it wasn't for that and the staff being very friendly, I would have given this place a 2 stars. The food was very mediocre. We had the fried rice and eggs, loco moco, and the sweet bread french toast. We didn't finish any of the items. read more
