I've been wanting to try this place for a while since I first heard about it. I chose the location on Clark rather than the one on Michigan because I figured it would be more accessible and have less foot traffic. I got there early enough to be the first customer of the day, and the first thing I noticed was the number of sink flies in the dining area. They were on the windows and walls. It was not a huge amount, but enough to make me reconsider ordering. However, I carried on and ordered the bacon sandwich with a side of tater tots. I'm not sure how long the sandwich usually takes, but it was at least 15 minutes before I received my food, which I guess was fine for the first order of the day. As for the food, it was good. The flavor was unique enough to distinguish it from a regular egg and bacon sandwich. Since I got it to go, the presentation was a little mushed, but the packaging was wonderful. I had seen a few "influencers" who do not live in Chicago raving about this "restaurant" and I just laughed. I had not been there to sample the food but definitely would not refer to Egg Tuck as fine dining. That said, they do make one hell of a breakfast sandwich! The Queen is a frequent patron of this fine establish and since we were home, she asked if she could get me breakfast. I decided on the Royal West (Signature Patty, Over Medium Egg, Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Onions, Pickles, Fresh Chives, Brioche Bread). The sandwich also comes with Sriracha Aioli and their Egg Sauce (House Mayo), but I opted not to get that on my sandwich, but I did get smoked bacon and avocado added to it. The Queen got the same thing but the spicy version with everything on it. I also got some tater tots as I thought those would hold up on delivery better than the fries. The sandwich itself is impressive to behold, golden in color and quite fresh looking, if fresh itself could be described as a visual concept. What impressed me the most was the bread itself, before I had even tasted it. The bread sort of presents as a file folder, conceptually, that you can stuff food into. The slice of bread was very thick and even after splitting it to allow food to be placed in the middle, each slice was still thick. While it was toasted to that lovely color, biting into it had some give, but it was not hard to bite into. I was impressed at how well the bread functioned in holding all of the ingredients together. I thought it would be a messy ordeal, but I was able to hold the sandwich and eat it. I know the bread is described as brioche, but upon my first bite I thought it was a milk bread as there was a slightly sweet flavor to it. The Queen said it could also be the meat patty as that was some sort of Korean patty that sometimes has a sweet taste to it as well. I would have to agree with Yelper Mahika A's description of this being a fluffy egg sandwich, it truly was. Everything was soft! The tater tots were okay, just your standard tots, but I love potatoes in general and definitely with breakfast, so that is why I got them. I am happy that they deliver as I would definitely order food from them again. The delivery was on point as the food was still warm when it got to us, so I would definitely order from them again. And being able to eat at home, I was able to have some champagne to wash the sandwich down with to make sure I was cutting some of the cholesterol to my arteries as this is not a health friendly meal, but that is why it tastes so good! read more

Everyone needs to try this place out. This breakfast sandwich is the best breakfast sandwich you will ever have in your life I promise. The New Orleans cold brew is also incredible. A cold brew is usually my coffee order at any coffee shop, and I really think this place does it better than most boujee performative coffee shops. It's delicious with either oat or almond milk. I'll be dreaming about this sandwhich for a while now. My friends and I decided to have a morning run to breakfast here. We came in pretty hungry and sweaty. You order on the tablet at the entrance and they call out your name to the side. It took around 15-20 minutes to receive and we sat in the back. To say this is the best fluffy egg sandwich i've ever had would be an understatement. It is so flavorful and creamy. Every bite is delicious. They need to open more locations around the nation & I especially need one in seattle. I had the original and my friend got the avocado. They taste pretty similar. Not sure how they make these so good but DANG this is a good egg sandwich!!! The egg and toppings are perfectly tucked into buttery, toasted bread that is sliced 3/4 the way down. It is PACKED with yummy goodness!! We had the avocado egg sandwich, it was perfect!! There is plenty of seating and you order at a kiosk. The person working was quick and efficient with getting our order out! There is not much to the inside, a few tables and the ordering kiosks but it is a nice vibe. TikTok led me here and I have no regrets! The dine in area isn't much to speak of. There is seating for maybe a dozen people. Maybe they do a lot of carry out? Anyways, we were here to eat egg sandwiches. You order at a kiosk and pay, then grab a seat. The server brought the sandwiches right to us. I got an egg and bacon. It was spectacular. This is not a cholesterol friendly meal which made it extra delicious. We also split some egg tots with the egg fried. Also super good. It may not be very "millennial" of me, but it is rare that I order delivery. I don't want to pay the markups, plus delivery, plus tip on something that will spend 30 minutes in a car and be delivered cold. However, on this particular day, my fridge was empty, and I ordered Grubhub from Egg Tuck. Now, in cases such as this, I allow a little more grace in my reviews. I'm not a monster, I appreciate that something delivered won't be the same. This is all the more reason why Egg Tuck has gone above and beyond all expectations and into the realm of perfection. Every. Dang. Ingredient. The bread: of a superb quality, griddled/toasted to perfection. Solid enough to not fall apart in the presence of other notably moist ingredients. Conveying a little sweetness, but not enough to overpower. Same thing with starchy notes - everything within was able to do its thing without it screaming "HEY, I'M OVER HERE! NOTICE ME" Bacon: I mean, with me and bacon it's hard to go wrong, but not impossible. It was cooked well, and in appropriate amounts. Cheese: like the bacon, I will rarely complain. A satisfying, thick slice of quality cheddar with just the right amount of melt. I'm not knocking Kraft singles, but they can't even legally be called "cheese," and must instead be labeled "Cheese Product." Nah, this was the real deal. Egg: I've not had scrambled eggs made by Gordon Ramsay, but if I did I think they would be a close relative of these. They were the lightest, softest, airiest scrambled eggs I've every had the pleasure of ingesting. Divinity, I say! Sauce, Spice, and everything nice: The egg sauce in tandem with the sriracha aioli was remarkably savory, with the fatty notes carrying and enhancing the flavors of everything else while also offering moisture. With the use of sriracha, there was also a just-right amount of heat as well. Finally, the chives added a wisp of eathiness and freshness. Breakfast sandwich perfection! If I could order from this place everyday, I would. From the sandwiches to the iced churro latte to the tots, everything I have tried here is so yummy! The eggs are always perfect and the soy chorizo was surprisingly good coming from someone that loves regular chorizo. The bread is dangerously addictive so my only suggestion is to maybe offer a low carb option for those of us that love the eggs but need to take it easy on the bread. Finally was able to check out Egg Tuck! I saw this place all over my Instagram and was happy to get the chance to swing by while we were in town. I dream about this egg sandwich. The buttered bread and soft fluffy eggs are absolutely mouthwatering. I loooooved this so much! We tried the fluffy tots which were also incredible. 1000% recommend this place to anyone! When we arrived it was super busy and noticed everyone ordering on a touch screen and then when we got our order a table opened up so we snatched that and ate our food in restaurant even though we ordered to-go. We walked past this place when it first opened, and the line was way too long, so we waited for a weekday morning to try it out. There were a handful of people around 8:30 am on a Friday. We got the Royal West, Gochuracha Royal West and tater tots. The sandwiches were SO GOOD! Two greasy brioche bread hugging a huge galbi/short rib patty is the perfect treat on a rainy morning. I tried this place while we were a couple blocks away for my son's Drs appt. It was VERY tasty!! We all enjoyed our orders (royal burrito, fries, and royal sandwich) the Korean pork/beef patty was SO good. Very good sweet and savory flavor with a mix of spicy and cool/creamy with the"egg sauce". The seasoning on the French fries was subtle and not too spicy (which my 11yo appreciated haha). And I LOVED the pickles on my sandwich and the brioche bread complimented all the flavors inside as well. Service was mediocre; not bad, but not great either. The ambiance was decent, but dirtier than I'm comfortable with (not surprised considering the amount of foot traffic). The food: I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich and added avocado, and a ham and cheese for my son. My son's ham and egg was stuffed full of egg, and was a hearty sandwich. My sandwich on the other hand was served on cold toast, was mostly avocado, had undercooked bacon, and hardly any egg besides the top part of the sandwich. The eggs were fluffy, seasoned, and delicious, but besides that the sandwich was underwhelming and slightly disappointing after seeing all of the hype on social media. If the sandwich was cooked and put together as well as it was packaged then Egg Tuck would be a winner in my book. Besides the disappointment with my sandwich, I was also disappointed by how long it took to get my order (around 25 minutes), how dirty the tables and floors were, and how stingy they are with the room temperature water. I don't recommend wasting your money here, especially if you're talented enough to make your own scrambled eggs. read more

They have 2 of them. After ordering, you wait until they call your name with the food. I really liked mine. It was filling, wasn't crazy expensive, and the bread tasted really good - like the bread on a grilled cheese sandwich. My bf on the other hand, didn't like his because he was expecting the eggs in his sandwich to be cold. He's a weirdo. My only gripe about this place is you have to ask for water. The 1 star is unfortunately due to the obscene level of non-recyclable plastic packaging given with an order for just one sandwich and a side. I saw everyone eating out of bulky plastic containers, so instinctually I ordered my food "for here" hoping it would come in the cute little paper containers they show in their photos. Unfortunately this was not the case, the sandwich came in an oversized plastic box, with another paper box and plastic wrap inside of that. Imagine hundreds of people a day receiving this amount of plastic waste!! I can tolerate some, but this is too much.
