This is a hopping place. Food is very good. It's worth the time it might take to get in and get seated and get your breakfast but once you're in, you'll see this place is a machine. It pumps out breakfast food to go and for its patron sitting in the restaurant like a well oiled machine. Seems like it should be a large larger place to accommodate the business that they do. I ordered the Avocado BLT. It was delicious. The bread was nicely toasted, the avocado, lettuce and tomato was fresh, and the bacon was delicious. Just an fyi they put ketchup on the BLT. I requested no ketchup. The side of fruit was fresh, it had watermelon, pineapple, and cantaloupe cubed pieces. The side of Cole slaw that accompanied the dish was really good. Overall very impressed with size, flavors, freshness. The waitress was really nice. The wait staff kept coming around to fill your coffee. Very attentive staff. The berry compote served with the pancakes is good but I didn't finish mine as the taste of the pancakes reigned supreme! Ambiance of restaurant is great and service was quick and friendly. I have often heard good things about Breakfast House and have been wanting to try for some time. I just now realized there are multiple locations as I came on Yelp to write this review. My first experience was via Door Dash order in which I've done twice. I first ordered the Croissant Sandwich which was really good! It includes virginia ham, white cheddar and scrambled eggs on a grilled croissant along with a side of roasted potatoes. Its a nice size as well...like shareable! I also ordered the egg white omelet in which it was ok...also came with the side of potatoes and could be shared. I actually came by to check out the actual restaurant and its your normal everyday diner. Staff is very nice and gives menu tips if asked. I got the Breakfast House Hash and was very excited about it. Unfortunately it lacked the flavor I thought it would have. The dish includes two poached eggs atop a mix of chicken sausage, andouille sausage, roasted potatoes, onions, and red peppers. I had to douse in hot sauce and it helped but still didn't really do it for me. Big enough to be shared. I would come back and try again but would definitely bring someone as portion sizes are very big. read more

I've been here before a couple times for breakfast and they have a huge menu! Very typical American breakfast spot if that's what you're in the mood for. This time we ordered lunch and I got a chicken wrap, which was exactly what you'd expect. The service was great! Our server was very attentive and came by the perfect amount. We sat outside because the weather was nice and it was perfect! Their sidewalk seating isn't super busy and feels so comfortable with shaded seating. We didn't make a reservation and were able to walk in and get seated right away! Also, this place is BYOB, which is amazing! While looking for a good breakfast while staying in the area, we stumbled across the breakfast house. We were worried about the wait but when we walked in we were able to sit in a couple of minutes! I would say plan accordingly because the line was looong when we left. The food here was amazing! I enjoyed the Supreme Chorizo Hash, that had literally all of the flavors and included guacamole (I love). With this meal you get the option to have toast or their fluffy buttermilk pancake. You know I already had my eyes on a side of pancakes so this combination gave me the best of both worlds. And I was able to add my favorite addition, blueberries! A friend of mine, knowing how much I love brunch, saw Breakfast House and wanted to treat me. So, I found myself back at a spot I reviewed quite a while ago. It was a mild Saturday morning, and Breakfast House was already busy, with seating both inside and outside. I love how they maintain that cozy, at-home vibe, even on the outdoor patio, which is complemented by flowers near the tables. Despite the crowd, we were seated right away. I looked back at my previous review to see if my concerns had been addressed. Last time, I had the chicken and waffles but felt they could use more seasoning. I was hesitant to order it again, but as they say, "closed mouths don't get fed." This time, I asked for a bit more seasoning on the chicken and requested they make it as flavorful as if they were cooking at home. I'm happy to say, the chicken and waffles were exquisite this time around. I also had an egg and a side of breakfast potatoes, while my friend enjoyed a delicious vegetarian dish. Everything was washed down with some coffee. I'm so glad I got the chance to revisit Breakfast House, and with the improvements made to the chicken, it's now one of my top five chicken and waffle spots in the city. A cozy little spot to start your day. I was easily able to find free street parking right next to the door. I had no issue getting a table and was waited on right away. The coffee was hot and strong!! And when I chose my breakfast entree I was super happy everything tasted incredibly fresh. From the guacamole to the crème fresh to the chorizo to the tortilla Ms and the eggs just brought everything together. I can usually eat a lot but this portion was MASSIVE and I couldn't finish the whole thing myself. And was satiated for the entire day. I don't think they do reservations and I showed up ready to wait. Initially the person taking names at the door said it would be a 40 minute wait for 2 people, and I accepted my fate. But then they turned around and said actually there's a table open! So I happily was seated right away. However, once my friend arrived, it took quite a bit of time for the waitress to come by to take our order. Maybe 20-25 minutes? However the deliciousness of the food definitely won me over! Food: I got the Supreme Chorizo Hash which was the first thing on the menu and labeled as the House Special. And it was so special!! My taste buds were in heaven!! The texture and blended tastes of the over-medium egg and runny yolk mixed in with the potatoes and chorizo and mound of avocado....wow. And the portion size is massive! Definitely two servings. I was so full after eating half that I took the rest home. It also came with a side, and I picked the fruit to balance it out. A perfect pairing! My friend got an omelet with a side of pancake and she also loved it! She said the pancake is a highlight. Other: I appreciated their online menu! They have a QR code posted on the table so it was easy to access, and the online menu itself features beautiful photos of the dishes which is always so helpful! The exterior of the place may seem very ordinary, but the menu is surprisingly sophisticated. Food quality is very high. Prices are reasonable, considering the post-COVID-19 inflation I'm still getting used to. Quality and service are what they focus on. Some standouts are the sour cream pancakes (luscious texture; and it doesn't matter if you like sour cream, they don't taste like that), breakfast burrito is my wife's favorite, special bacon pancakes has some chocolate chips. The manager Roberto is someone special. A lot of young staff, so there's a bit of turnover, but they work well as a team. This is one of several metro locations. read more
