Had just the most wonderful brunch here! The space is so airy and beautiful, the vibes are relaxing, and the folks are so extremely nice. Service was impeccable and they really went out of their way to check on us. :) I got the Spartan Bowl and we split the Banana French Toast. The French toast was delicious but definitely best split - it's very dense and rich. I really enjoyed the Spartan Bowl - the steak was super well seasoned and the portion was huge! Had a great time here during my trip to Chicago, I hope I can come back one day!

This place is absolutely incredible! Healthy and flavorful food, the sweet potatoes on the side were fantastic Got the ham and egg croissant and it had a LOT of ham and egg on it. I think it may have had the shakshuka sauce on it as well and added a great flavor. Beet and goat cheese dip was more of a blended dip than I was expecting but had a nice mild heat to it. 10/10

Prasino.  Restaurant Review August 24, 2026 A soon-to-be favorite for anyone who steps through the doors--it certainly is ours already! Nestled in the heart of the Jewelry District, just steps from Millennium Park and the Loop shopping district, this new gem is perfectly located for downtown workers, locals, and visitors alike. The atmosphere strikes an ideal balance: casual yet elegant, warm, and exceptionally comfortable. The transportive décor immediately gives you the feeling of vacationing on a Greek island. That same fresh, vibrant energy carries over to the kitchen, where gourmet Mediterranean dishes are served at remarkably reasonable prices. The service is attentive and thoughtful from start to finish. Every dish uses high-quality ingredients so fresh you can practically smell the Mediterranean breeze on the seafood and the sun-drenched pastures in the meats and produce. We sampled items across the entire menu, and while every bite delivered, several standout dishes deserve special recognition: * Spicy Avocado & Feta Dip: Bright, creamy, and packed with just the right amount of kick. * Fig & Prosciutto Flatbread: A masterclass in balancing sweet, savory, and crisp textures. * Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon & Smoked Salmon Benedict: Incredible daytime options featuring rich, perfectly smoked salmon. * Tuna Poke Bowl & Pesto Chicken Panini: Fresh, vibrant, and ideal for a satisfying lunch. * Chimichurri Steak  * Mediterranean Salmon: All Perfectly executed entrees--each delicious enough to warrant a return trip on its own. Beyond the full dining experience, they cater effortlessly to on-the-go schedules with a broad selection of fresh pastries, smoothies, specialty coffees, teas, and refreshing signature cold drinks. Do yourself a favor: discover this wonderful new spot and make it your own. You are guaranteed to enjoy it just as much as we did.

As a tourist, I had intended to go to the popular bakery two storefronts down the street with a line out the door. But when I walked by Prasino, I was attracted by clean and bright interior and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I came here instead! The food is made to order, healthy, and reasonably priced for downtown area. I had the Ciabatta that's loaded with ingredients and flavors, and came with a side of sweet potatos. This is a cafeteria style restaurant where you order at the counter, grab a seat, then food is delivered to your table within a few minutes. The servers were friendly and attentive. It's a relaxing space to dine in. The warm wood tone aesthetics, variety of seating options from single table to booths and sofas, and wifi and outlets make this a comfortable space to linger.

When visiting Chicago last week I was looking for coffee spots within walking distance of Grant Park and I found fairgrounds. I'm so glad I chose to stop in! The indoor seating area is small with one larger table, a single seat & table, and some bar like seats. I was able to snag the single seat with a small round table to myself. It was so cute inside and while I wish there was more indoor seating there was a lots of space to sit outside which I also enjoyed after finishing my food. I got the tahini caramel latte, the staff was very kind in helping me decide on a drink, I made a substitution to have it made with almond milk and it was delicious! So rich in flavor and a great coffee taste without being too sweet. Also you have to get the breakfast burrito with an extra side of salsa. I've never had a breakfast burrito and salsa like the one I ate at Fairgrounds and I'm still dreaming of it! The burrito was piping hot, had so many different bright flavors and the salsa on the side was very bright and fresh. Absolute 10/10
