Ate here several times. Nothing is on dishes. All styrofoam servings like take out even when you eat inside. Food was served quick. Won ton soup was average. Broth was average. Overall was ok. Tried chow Mein, rice, beef broccoli, sweet and sour, Szechuan beef. Everything was ok. Rated above china panda. Real Chinese chefs. Where were the Chinese customers? Overall average. It's not bad for fast food. Better than china panda. read more

If you're looking for poor customer service then this is the place to be lol. The older guy and lady in the front are always bothered every time you have a question. These people don't give a shit about you or your questions. They just want your money. I won't be going back read more

The people are so rude ! The food is not even good to put up with the lack of customer service. The lady and older guy look like they get bothered every time someone orders or ask a question . read more

Great service. Great food. Great dinner. Always have my food ordered on time and have been very respectful. Clean place and quality everything. I highly recommend!! read more

Very rude. Would not take my order correctly even after I repeated it 5 times. Still ended up with the wrong order. Ate what I could stomach. Will not be going back ever. read more

Only giving a 3 cause service was fast and people nice. I got the sweet sour with chow mein, sweet sour sauce was good but it was all breading hardly any meat...huge fried pillows with sauce. The chow mein had a good taste but there was pretty much only noodles hardly any meat and not much cabbage etc. Price was good but Panda Express is better. Won't be going back. read more

This was a solid experience. Great prices especially just yo satisfy a craving. Super nice man and woman at the front counter. I called in my order and when they say 10 minutes- they mean it. Crab Rangoon is solid too. We'll be back for that once in a while craving! read more

Egg Roll King - Honey Garlic Chicken Combo - Chinese Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I'm a fan of this Egg Roll King. Why? Well, for one, they are busy. Though being a busy business does not a good restaurant make. But, it is a start. They have good food served hot and indoor seating. My wife and I decided to go and walked in around 6:00 PM during a weekday. The staff was friendly and I was able to put my order in. My wife gave them her order in Mandarin, which is currently outside of my abilities. I ordered the Combo plate with Beef with Szechaun sauce and Kung Pao Chicken. Both have a chili mark, but to my taste buds, they are mild, not spicy at all. But, you should try it. Some people I know yell scream and holler when they have normal yellow mustard! The food comes out within a few minutes. It's normally a good temp. If you're fortunate enough to have them make it right then and there, it comes out blazing hot! I'm not kidding. The kind of hot which can burn the roof of your mouth just like a pizza out of the oven! I enjoy their soup. Specifically, the hot & sour soup. Yes, it's thick, hot and sour. Makes my mouth water, just thinking of it. The food came out in a Styrofoam take home dish. You know the type with three chambers. Well, this one came out completely filled! The Kung Pao Chicken came out hot and tasty. This is one of those dishes that forces me to eat healthy. I know, you're thinking that it's filled with vegetables. You're correct. It's filled with a mess load of celery. I really don't care for celery much unless it's in my chicken soup, Bloody Mary or Kung Pao Chicken. My second dish of the combo I ordered was Beef with Szechaun sauce. Very good. It came out steaming hot! The sauces on both dishes were good. Meaning that they were not swimming in sauce but a decent amount of sauce. Not overly sweet nor salty. There is a lot of rice that is served as well. You do have your choice of fried rice or steamed white rice. Quantity? Abbondanza! I definitely could not finish all of the food. I was stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey! ---------------- Bottom Line Yes, I have and will come back here again. It's close to my abode and it's good. TIPS: They do have limited seating inside. Environmental decor is clean. But, keep in mind this restaurant was meant for take-out and it's a store front. Plenty of parking too! You can walk in and place your order, or phone in a take-out order. NOTE: They do have tables and chairs but there is no table service! read more

I ordered the honey garlic shrimp, general chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried wontons, and shrimp chow main, with fried and white. About the only decent thing about any of those was the white rice, which would be real hard to mess up. I can't speak to fried rice because I got two white rice instead. I asked what was in the wontons and was told pork, there was absolutely nothing in any of them. 90% of the garlic shrimp was soggy breading. This is my second time trying this place, the first was in 2017. I will never be back. read more

Egg Roll King - This is the garlic shrimp breading after digging the tiny pieces of shrimp out - Chinese Near Me - Reno, Nevada

This review is for the Prawn appetizer. The prawns are huge and they are fried to perfection. Not over cooked and really delicious. My kids love them too. Which is huge. The best fried prawns I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. read more

The last few times I've visited this establishment it's been difficult to want to come back. The last time I was there I ordered crabmeat Rangoon and got fried wonton wrappers?, I went back to ask them to fix this issue. Got told by the older gentleman (who is hearing impaired) that he heard what I ordered and there was no mistake on their end. Frustrating to communicate that accidents happen sometimes when were all wearing masks, but it was ok if they just redid the order. But the main complaint with this establishment lately is.... food is barely luke warm, and steamed rice is old and dried out all the time. read more

Decided to try this restaurant last night as it is so close to our home. We just moved to Reno and have been Panda fans for a long tine.. Egg Roll King is so much better!! Great portions, good prices, excellent service , take out took less than 15 minutes and the food was outstanding!! Highly recommend you give this place a try! read more

We have tried many of the Reno area's ERK stores and they all offer the same good level of food ,price, and service! Their carry out boxes are always stuffed full contrary to other local Chinese fast food establishments. Their combo platters offer three choices not the usual two. Rice or chow Mein plus two other choices rounds out the meal, I can barely finish the meal and many times have a bit for the next day left over! The choices are the usual: sweet and sour chicken or pork garlic,Black bean and lemon dishes plus several spicy hot offerings round things out? read more

Absolutely inedible. I received my food within two minutes of ordering it. This was my first clue that it would be of subpar quality. When I got home, I opened the box and it seems like they gave me one of the wrong items (I ordered honey garlic chicken and they gave me some kind of meat with sweet and sour sauce on it). All of the meat breading was soggy. All items were lukewarm. The chow mein was flavorless and mushy. Everything was beyond disappointing. I really like cheap, hone-in-the-wall Chinese food, but this was shockingly bad. I was starving and I ate about 1/10th of it and threw it away. I now have to get something else to eat. tl;dr This was some of the worst Chinese food - nay - food I've ever eaten. Shocking. read more

Nice service, super quick, ended up getting food poisoning, don't think i'll be going back :(

Food is so delicious and fairly priced! Perfect little spot. Food is typically ready within 15 minutes. They are open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, closed Mondays. read more

Wife brought home food from, let me rephrase not food. Worst slop I have ever eaten. Disgusting period. I'm still apologizing to my stomach for the little bit I ate. So bad I didn't even put it in my garbage disposal bc I didn't want it in my pipes. REALLY people eat here keep this place going? Make the extra drive and get quality Chinese food. Hope I live through the night pray for me. Oh heck almost forgot it was either glass or a rock that I think I cracked a tooth still hurts. You better believe I will visit this s hole and let them know. read more

Won't serve smaller portions for children. They make you insist on a portion which is for adults. Also rude

If only there was a 0 star.... such rude people behind that counter. I will never ever come back to this place. The man behind the counter I'm sure was the owner and I just can't believe this place is still open read more

If you enjoy the rudest service in town, sub-par Chinese food, then this is for you! The old man behind the counter is a major asshole. The lady (wife) isn't much better. I asked the rude jerk to read my order back. He started yelling at me, saying he doesn't make mistakes! Can you imagine this? Then the old, sour looking lady started chiming in and getting nasty mean. I canceled the order, said FU and left. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

Nice to have an Egg Roll King in the area - before they opened here, I'd have to travel by Reno High School or Oddie Blvd to get some quick Chinese food. Service is as you'd expect in a Chinese fast food restaurant, not the friendliest but they get the job done. Food is fine, no complaints. read more

For a place way up in the North Valleys, off of the main highway, and tucked to the side of the giant Big Lots building, the food here is amazing! Pretty much everything on the menu here is great (with the exception of their dishes that use pre-made fried chicken bits). In particular, this place makes a mean Mongolian Beef, fantastic soups, and some killer fried rice. The interior decor is a bit strange as they just have giant framed pictures of their dishes lining the faded wallpaper walls but, for me at least, the oddness makes this place all the more charming. The owners and chefs also brighten up the place as they are always very cheery and seem to genuinely be excited about every customer who comes through their doors. Give this place a try and I'm sure you will come out a fan! read more

I enjoyed the wonton soup. Everything else was gross...Broccoli Beef, Kung Pao Chicken and Hot and Sour Soup. Threw it all away...Yuck!

It's a tiny dive of a Chinese take out joint, sure. But the price is right, the food is generously portioned and flavors are surprisingly good. Are they the king of egg rolls as the name bluntly boasts? Meh, can't say. I'm not much for egg rolls, which is to say I eat them when on the plate but don't often order them specifically. But, I can say that they have some of the best darn pot stickers around. I've eaten hundreds over the years. I can also vouch for the broccoli beef, honey garlic chicken, lemon chicken, chicken chow mein, pork fried rice and veggie delight. The interior isn't much to look at, so get your meal to go and enjoy the bang-for-the-buck in the comfort of your own digs. read more

Egg Roll King - Delicious food! Great service! - Chinese Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Many people believe that Chinese food is easy to come by here in Northern Nevada, but I tend to disagree. Being from Chicago, I have had my fair share of some of the most delicious you could have ever imagined. Well now that I have transplanted myself here I have been on a search for the best in town. While I do not believe that this is the best in town, it definitely ranks as one of the highest for taste. I ordered the vegetable egg foo young, chicken fried rice and some egg rolls. The egg foo young was pretty good, and the gravy for the patties was good with a slight garlic flavor suitable for the patty. Many places I have been to here have the vegetables outside of the patty, all situated on top, but I prefer the veggies to be in the patty not on top. The rice was not some of the best but was quite good. Not too oily, and the chicken was still very tender and juicy. The downer of the evening happened to be the egg rolls. They seemed to be more like a spring roll than an egg roll. Kind of disappointing but I will still come back here to try a few more items on their menu. read more

I loved Chinese food, so happy have one near. Was my2nd visit last month., There food is okay but i was not happy what i experienced, i ordered sweet and sour pork since they never add pineapple on our last order, i was told to guy to the counter that to add pineapple on it. On my 2nd visit, But it seems he is not happy about it. Instead they talked with the lady on there language..Until my food was done. They putted in on the table they never told me .instead they spoke by there language. Again I just assumed those food in the bag was mine cause i was the only person inside by then. i grab my food bag and leave.. such a poor customer service. They never see Thank you.. read more

Best Chinese takeout in the North Valleys! We've been going here for years, once we discovered it. The food is hot, delicious, and the portion sizes are very generous. The menu has great variety and I don't think ice tried anything I haven't loved. We get the sweet and sour chicken, wor won ton soup and the Singapore rice noodles the most often. More than enough to feed us with plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day! Like I said, it's great for takeout. There's some seating for dine in but don't expect a terribly rich dining experience. All food is served in styrofoam containers regardless of whether you're eating in or not. The staff is efficient and the goal is to get you your food as quickly as possible. The prices are fantastic. Honestly, I could probably rave for days. I can't drive past without salivating for Singapore noodles anymore! If you're looking for Chinese takeout, look no further. read more

After a day of driving for the far north of Califronia for 5 hours it was time for nouriahment. Google maps has an app to see what place are on the way. Their sub sections were helpful.. places where the locals eat. Being an Asian mmm. The door was so authentic in flavor, wide variety of closer to Asian style, specials and a grateful clear broth won ton mein with crunchy egg noodles. I also juge my Asian place on their noodles In addition they had a commoners noodle... chow fun.. I knew right there we were in a authentic place. Thabo you for the great food .. oh ys and a place to sit and eat.. and many customers lined up to the door read more

Usually they're good but the last time I ate there the honey garlic chicken and sesame chicken we all fried batter. Like seriously no meat inside it was awful and the egg rolls were way too greasy. I ended up not eating even half of my food and I got food poisoning. I'm not sure if I'd eat there again and it's sad cause I like this place usually. read more

Super fast, super fresh, super yummy. I ordered the honey garlic chicken and szechuan beef combination with fried rice. The beef has lots of veggies and the chicken had actual garlic bits and chicken pieces and not just batter. The rice was nice and moist, not oily and had more than just soy sauce. Most importantly, it doesn't seem like they use msg. For about $6.75, you get a big portion that's able to feed two people. I'm impressed. read more

I ate here on 18 April 2016, and found the food excellent. I had the Kung Pao chicken and Szechuan beef, with pork fried rice. Both entrees are listed on the menu with a star as hot/spicy. I like spicy, hot foods and added the hot mustard, supplied at the restaurant in packets, to both dishes. All vegetables were crispy. I imagine they were steamed and were definitely not overcooked. Both dishes and the fried rice were great. Other reviewers have noted that it's enough for two meals. True that. I'm eating leftovers now a day later, and they hold up very well. I went just after lunchtime, about 1:15, and was served very quickly. The decor is plain and simple; the man who appears to be the owner was very friendly and courteous. And to get two meals for $8 including tax and tip: What a deal! I live nearby, and will definitely be back. Farewell, Panda Express. read more

Fried rice was a little hard. The chicken chow mein was literally just noodles with small slices of cabbage. The only reason it's not 1 star is the price and the general chicken was edible. Going to panda next time. read more

I give it two stars because they do have an awesome ginger beef dish, but the service is awful!! The man at the register is very short when taking orders and don't you dare make any changes or ask any questions, he will rudely make gestures, shake his head and make a comment in Chinese as if you're being an inconvenience to him. Their food is cheap, however their service matches the way they treat their customers. I'd rather pay more than get treated poorly, therefore, more likely take my business elsewhere. read more

Rude service, refuses to take orders. Poor customer service hangs up phone instead of rectifying orders

This place is a joke says open until 9 well went there 830 pm and there closed! This has happened twice go somewhere else that gets there business hours right! It's horrible service! The first time got there close to 8 and they closed although it said 9! Never ever seen this that's horrible customer service forget it go some where else that's open like they say they are period! Just thought would give it another chance and well never again! read more

Man at the front counter was very rude when we picked up our order to go. My significant other handed him her credit card and when she held her hand out for the hand back of the card he threw it on the counter top. Then following that when handed the food my significant other said thank you to no response, then repeated the thank you thinking they didn't hear, again no response. To top that off food was very bland to the point where we just bought food another place to have a descent meal. Will never visit this place again. DO NOT RECOMMEND. No respect for paying customers. read more

Ordered shrimp with lobster sauce take out. Ordered two one for myself and one for a friend. We both threw them down the disposal. Extremely watered down to a soup (dish water would be tastier) and few over cooked shrimp. No flavor even after adding soy sauce. Even the rice was bad. Never again. Looks like they are cutting cost. Shrimp with lobster sauce is not a soup. Oct 29 Went back just to see if they may have made a mistake because I was served soup not an entree. Well got the same horrible porridge. I went home cooked it myself following a recipe on line. Wonderful, I don't know their chef but he needs to go back and learn how to make a simple American Cantonese entree. BTW I learned it was very simple to make took all of 15 minutes. read more
