I rarely write bad reviews, but this was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The egg rolls were dripping in grease - I used several paper towels to sop up the grease - and all I tasted was the old oil it was fried in. The beef chow mien was also greasy. Very disappointing. read more

Sad shadow of its former self. Prices doubled, food quality is way down. Went and got some hot and sour soup and the soup was luke warm which is horrible. Combo plate of lemon chicken, honey garlic chicken and chow mein. Chicken was also luke warm w barely any sauce. Chow mein had nothing in but noodles and was also luke warm. We wanted to give this place an opportunity because they were close for so long due to the pandemic. Today's visit wasn't that great. We asked for the shrimp soup, pepper steak, and wonton soup. The gentleman taken, the orders is surely, takes your orders with zero enthusiasm, and does not make you feel welcome. They got busy around that time, and they're only two of them. They serve the food quick enough, but we decided to leave the place. The pepper steak has way too much green pepper in it. The shrimp soup only had about five of them, but my son enjoyed the wonton soup as he had a lot of vegetables. We may give them another chance, but I doubt it. I think I'd rather go downtown and get real good Chinese food. read more

I ordered Vegetable Chow Mein with extra broccoli and Hunan Shrimp with white rice. The chow mein was good and vegetarian as I wanted. Unfortunately, the Hunan shrimp was disappointing because the shrimp were mushy. This was particularly frustrating since I had specifically ordered it for the shrimp. In fact, the mushy texture ruined the entire meal, as every piece of shrimp was not firm, which is how shrimp are supposed to be. read more

Have been coming here for years, sad to say the food is not as good as it used to be. The sesame chicken had no sauce whatsoever and mostly breading. The rice was just okay and the cashew chicken was the same, just okay. The chicken chow mein had no flavor and was pretty dry. The crab rangoon was good. Egg Roll King in Lemon Valley really missed the mark. I grew up eating egg roll king and usually do not expect much but my most recent visit was disappointing. The food was bleh, the service was unfriendly and the dining area could use a deep cleaning. The chicken with black bean sauce was mostly onions and the chicken was almost nonexistent. Sadly, the egg drop soup had no flavor at all. When I received my order I asked for hot oil and sweet and sour sauce. The lady behind the counter slid it down my direction with some attitude like I was asking for too much. The old man with her had a lot of sass too. Then again, he's always been sassy for as long as I can remember. Lol As for the dining area, I noticed the chairs had a lot of grease build up. 5:30 pm and shopping at smiths. Decided I didn't want to cook so called to order Togo. Their Phone is broke. Drove across the road to place order. Long long line expected since it's dinner time. Counter guy was very rude. Yelling at people. Had to wait about 10 min to order, then 15 min for food. While paying, I used a debit card. I always throw cash in the jar depending on how fast they take care of me. The old guy at the counter took the signed debit receipt, turned to the lady at the food window pointed at the zero tip, started yelling and making lots of gesture. The girl looked at me, and just shook her head and discuss. The guy looked me in the eye said a bunch of Chinese things, threw his hands up in the air and then slam the cash register. As I sat down waiting for the food, the guy kept looking at me yelling some stuff and the girl kept nodding in agreement and looking at me. Since when is tipping to pick up some food an entitlement. A friendly guy at the counter, asking how I can be helped, greeting me nicely. Telling me in a friendly way that my food will be ready. Sorry about the line, something else other than yelling at customers and slamming stuff around. You are not entitled to a tip. Gratuity is for service and expediency, Good quality food, nice and friendly. Not only do you have to earn it, but why would I tip before getting my food and checking it. No one goes to sit down at dinner and tips the waiter before they get their food. Though we love the Mushu here and the Singapore noodles, not sure if I will be back. read more

I was craving Chinese food and I was out in Lemmon Valley. The closet one to me was Egg Roll King. I have never been there before, so I wanted to give it a try. It wasn't too busy, so I was able to put an order in right away. I got the sesame chicken and sweet & sour chicken with chicken chowmein. I also got crab rangoon. It was only a 10-15 minute wait from when I ordered till I got my food! So it is fast food, haha ;) Prices are fair. Not expensive at all. The taste of the food is satisfactory. Chicken wasn't too doughy. The chowmein was full of chicken. The crab rangoon was great! My favorite part of the meal. There wasn't a lot of sauce on the sweet and sour chicken, but it actually was good because it was enough for flavor. Not overwhelmingly sweet. Recommend if you are out in the North Valleys! read more

First time I ordered (was $76) for family of 3, hot and sour soup, I can only taste soy sauce with a few speckles of carrots,maybe some onions, not sure because after first taste from all of us, went straight to garbage. Mongolian beef has a decent flavor but was very salty we only had 1/4 of it.. so I gave then a second try a week later thinking maybe it was a mistake. I ordered, I emphasized NOT SALTY TWICE on Mongolian beef. Well, it came even saltier.. couple of bites, my insides of mouth started swell a bit.. Needless to say into the garbage.. Oh, the only decent thing to eat was egg rolls, hence the name, but they forgot to put in sweet and sour sauce.. General chicken was very soggy.. So I guess we need to try some different Chinese restaurant since non of us wanted their food again. Oh we just moved to cold springs so we don't know enough about this area. Why do they make it so it's impossible for us to need soy sauces they pack tons of ??? Was trying to place an order 45 min before closing, called multiple times with no answer and drove by all the lights were off.

My wife and I both got a hankering for Chinese take-out and we ended up ordering from here for the first time since it was close. Ordering was easy on the phone, was told it'd be ready in about 15 minutes. I drove down and went inside. They have good indicators for social distancing and have a plexi-glass screen between the workers and the customers. The food we go was your typical Chinese take-out quality...not like sitting down at P.F. Changs, but good, and nice-sized portions. We ended up getting two meals out of our order that totaled $32. We'll be going back the next time we have that "hankering". read more

Did a quick drop-in to this tiny restaurant. Husband was craving the house chow mein and I was craving the hot and sour soup. Chow mein is super simple, filling and tasty. I hadn't tried this place before and I can say I honestly probably won't again.. the chicken chowmein was only gristle, but it did have cabbage and onion so the flavor wasn't bad... the sweet n sour pork was so heavily breaded I'm not even sure there was any meat in it. The garlic honey shrimp I couldn't wait to try... so excited and was beyond a huge let down... once again something that is 3/4 breading and 1/4 shrimp, it was extra chewy shrimp that still contained the poop shoot. This is the only Chinese place out by my house or rather the closest to my house. If we're too lazy to drive anywhere to get decent Chinese food, I guess we'd go here again. I also got the Wonton Noodle soup and it was just okay. The broth really didn't have any flavor but the wontons were good! Since moving to Reno I've been looking for decent cheap Chinese take out food. As of now, I think this is my top choice. $32 for potstickers, veggie moo shu, general chicken, and pork chow mein. Cheap, fast, and actually had flavor (unlike a few of my previous attempts)! I'm calling this a win. The food was hot, no weird textures or ingredients, and not covered in grease. I wouldn't go out of my way to pick this up, but if you live on this side of town in my opinion this is your best option for cheap takeout. The Szechuan beef and chow mein was absolutely delicious. The honey garlic chicken is good if you like something a little more on the sweet side. I added extra chili oil that they had on the table to the noodles--fantastic! This is a little hole In the wall place, where service is fast and take out is your best option, since you order from the counter.
