First time here, and thought the food was pretty good. The potato cakes had great flavor and were cooked perfectly. Their bacon is delicious and they were very generous with meat in the omelette. Portions are huge and we saw most patrons leaving with to go boxes. Even late morning this location was packed so service was a bit slow and we didn't see our server more than a couple times. Welllllll. I had high hopes for this place but it did not deliver. Good things first are the waitress was great. She did a great job on checking with us and refilling drinks. She did recommend the German Pancake and it was good. We had berries on it. I would have liked even with just powdered sugar. We are outside and I liked that also. It was a little chilly and they have heaters that they can angle to the table. Ok. The not so good stuff. Is basically all of the other foot we tried. Honestly, when we searched up some pics of Egg N' Joe, we were not blown away. Although we lived close by, it ranked low on our list of breakfast priorities. However, one morning, amidst breakfast cravings unmet due to other restaurants being closed, Egg N' Joe was the only one available (6:30 a.m.!) We took a chance, and how glad we are that we did. Our smiling server, who seemed almost uncannily happy for such an early hour, ushered us to a table and took our orders. My wife got a basic breakfast, and I had an omelet (of course). It didn't take long for both coffees and food to come around, and so we tucked in. My only complaint about the omelet was the thickness of the cheese. It didn't offer flavor so much as it did rigid texture. Otherwise, the ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was perfect. In fact, take a look at that fruit bowl: I was so pleased to see something other than the classic, sad honeyew and cantaloupe combo. Egg N' Joe has taken the side-of-fruit game by storm! Bananas, pineapples, and grapes -- all my favorites. How did they know? As we dined, our sever checked in periodically. Again, his friendilness was contagious! I think we'd just go back for that guy! I was so hungry I did not get any pictures, I do apologize! We went out today to grab some breakfast, this was our first time going and I must say AMAZING! The hash browns are the best I've ever had. Hot and crispy. Pancakes come in a order of 4 so, we split them and it's a perfect amount. Everyone else got the ranchero breakfast which is very filling as well. I have been meaning to try this place for awhile but due to it's location, which I try to avoid at all costs as it's next to a Costco, Sam's Club and Wal-Mart I haven't had a chance to do so until today. I am kicking myself for not trying this place two years ago when I first saw it. The food is outstanding! I had the Eggs Benedict, which were perfectly cooked. The yolks were not too runny, and the Hollandaise was rich and full of flavor. The hash browns which I ordered crispy were on point. My wife had the biscuits and gravy which she said were heaven, and as she's an aficionado of biscuits and gravy don't any of you try to argue with her or she will lay a Texas sized whoopin on your behind! The waitress was very attentive and they are doing well in their current social distancing standards. We will be back the next time we're in the area. read more

Awesome place for breakfast! Stopped here last Saturday after an early morning flight from Baltimore. We were starving. Everyone was pleased with their orders. I tried the Valley of the Sun omelette. It's basically a bacon and cheese omelette topped with salsa, avocado and sour cream. It also comes with a biscuit and home fries or fruit. I chose the home fries extra crispy. Everything was tasty but the avocado was a little too hard for my liking. The biscuits remind me of the ones Bob Evans served. The service was friendly but the food took awhile to come. Inside is pretty casual and family friendly, not sure if they serve alcohol. read more

Great place! First time here and was pleasantly surprised. Aaron S. Was our server. He was friendly, prompt, and our order was accurate. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Our food was great! I was looking for something on the lighter side and the veggie omelette was perfect. I had to make a couple modifications and it came out just as ordered. My bf had the Ranchers breakfast, and it was good as well. I was pleased to see mimosas on the menu. They had a variety of flavors as well as bloody Mary's. There is a nice patio for good weather, and the indoor seats quite a few people. There was a short wait (20 minutes), which might be rough in the summer as there was not a shaded area to wait outside, but it was fine today. I am really looking forward to coming back and trying some of the crab breakfasts and the German pancakes. Would love it if they added the Yelp wait list! read more

This has been my go to for breakfast when we eat out. Everything I have gotten here has been really good. We have eaten inside and the service was great and food came out in a timely matter. The first time we came was when I knew I would be coming back for more. The German pancake was my favorite. I added the cinnamon apples and loved it. Great texture and flavor. It is pretty big so it is enough to split. We ordered a takeout order and I was impressed with the service over the phone and when picking up. The girl on the phone was very nice. The order was a good size and when we got home everything was there along with enough utensils and sides to go with the dishes. Love this local breakfast spot, but the service isn't consistent. Shout out to Jackie, she is incredible and took care of us when our server couldn't (somehow midway through the meal we became invisible). Jackie took care of us even though it wasn't her job and went above and beyond. The stuffed hashbrowns and potato pancakes are amazing! We did walk-in take-out for our first time visiting this restaurant today (Sunday). My dogs were getting groomed across the parking lot, so my husband and I decided to order food and take it to Discovery Park nearby. They had tables available (patio and inside, only every other table is filled), but we still aren't comfortable eating at a restaurant due to COVID. We ordered at the entrance, sat outside, and got our food in about 10 minutes (speedy!). I had an omelet and my husband had the biscuits and gravy, both of the items featured on the front of the menu. Both meals came with the option for fruit or hash browns (we both opted for hash browns) and the omelet came with a biscuit. The portions were generous! Overall, the food was good but lacked any interesting flavor/spice. We could have easily made everything at home. The omelet didn't have any spices - just vegetables/meat and a very small amount lime ranch dressing on top. The hashbrowns weren't spiced from what I could tell. My husband said the same for his biscuits and gravy. What was REALLY good were the biscuits. They were buttery/moist. And this is someone who is not normally a biscuit fan. We'd eat here again, but it's nothing I'd be raving about. read more

Loved my experience at Egg N' Joe! My favorite part about the place was honestly how clean it is. Especially during Covid, and anytime, it's nice to feel like you're dining somewhere that really cares about the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant. Time for a review update. Their specialty is the German pancake, and it is good. Different from what most people think of as a pancake. We split one (it's big) and it was good. We also got the chicken fried steak, and it wasn't so good. Not much flavor. I never thought I would say this, but Denny's chicken fried steak is better. (Hard to believe, yes?) Didn't have a skillet this time, so just have to stick with my comments last time. Service this time was noticeably better. Appropriately attentive, friendly, and prompt. If I had ordered something besides the chicken fried steak maybe I could rate higher, but it was really underwhelming. The good service saved them from two stars. read more

We were seated outside on the patio and they have heaters on this cold morning @57°. Thank goodness for heaters. It did start to rain and they promptly got us a seat inside. We ordered and I enjoyed my coffee and crepes very much, along with the company of my cousins who I hadn't seen in awhile. We sat and chatted for hours and I was so thankful our waiter never came up and tried to get us to move out as I could tell they were extremely busy. For context Just a week earlier I was eating at Momo's hotpot in Carson California and the waiter said to me " you are approaching your 90 minute limit", which I felt rushed to eat and leave. So not getting the glares and a verbal warning to leave was a genuine and pleasant experience and I made sure I took care of my waiter. The staff was great the food was delicious. I would give this place 6 stars if I could!! The food was so perfect and fresh! My waffle was just slightly crispy on the edges and so soft and fluffy in the middle! The eggs were actual eggs and the bacon was made to order and so yummy! The environment was clean, bright, and comfortable. Plus, the customer service was beyond top notch! Marci reminded me so much of the friendly, slightly sassy, and warm service I'm used to from the Northwest.
