THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A BREAKFAST WITH CRAB IN IT! Ordered a crab eggs benedict, and it had big ol' honkin' chunks of tasty crab on it. *REAL* crab, not "krab". The kind that used to swim and feed on rotting ocean goop. The kind that you have to coax out of a shell. Seems like every place which has crab on their menu uses that fake-ass bullshit and calls it "crab", which is a *HUGE* pet peeve of mine. Not Egg N'Joe! Also their German pancake is made from the stuff of children's dreams. Service was great, prices were reasonable, and all in all I was thoroughly impressed. read more

Great breakfast place. We go there every time we're in the area. It's a little pricey and the wait can sometimes be long.

Never disappointed going here! The German pancakes are so good. Actually everything we've ordered has been so good! Service is pretty great too. read more

Just came here for breakfast this past Sunday! My dad came first to reserve a table but he was immediately seated lol. That was at 8am- and when the rest of us came there around 8:20, it was pretty full. When we left at 9:20, there was a line of people waiting! But duh. Anyway, they have a table outside with coffee and creamer on it for people to drink while waiting!! I ordered a skillet. The Sundevil one of course #forksupppp!! I got it without chorizo because I don't eat meat. It was very good. Full of fresh veggies, like red & green peppers. Didn't even need the meat! My son got chocolate chip pancakes and he loved them and the kids portion was actually a lot of food! My dad and brother both got some type of "Special" off the menu and they loved it all! My brother's did look really good. It was some biscuit/gravy meal. Service wasn't awesome. They didn't check on us much and we had to seek out our own silverware. The cost is average for a breakfast place. I wouldn't say I was blown away by this place- because to me it compared to an IHOP rather than like a local diner (moreso what I was expecting and hoping for).. NEXT TIME I VOW TO GET THE GERMAN PANCAKE!!! read more

NO TAKE OUT OPTION on WEEKENDS. EVEN w/ Covid AND even though their site advertises takeout. The woman that took my call at 9am on Fathers Day was quick to sound annoyed that I was misinformed that they DO NOT do take out on weekends and only select days and hours. "Even with Covid? I would think you guys want the extra business...?" "Nope sorry" and hung up. Super disappointed. It's not an option for my husband to eat out and it was his Father's Day breakfast. read more

How do you have a patio and not allow dogs? Only if they are service dogs. If not they have to sit outside the gate. One of the staff members was rude as hell about it too. read more

Food was really good. Service was good too. The cappuccino was honestly worth returning for and we were visiting from CA.

Let's start with the positive cute place. Menu looks great. The service sucked sorry to say it is a Wednesday around 10:30am place is not packed or super busy. Our server was so slow and he was never around. We were there for an hour and I had two cups of coffee which I had to ask for and had to ask for water refills. I hope this was just an off day. read more

It's just ok, casual atmosphere, simple and affordable but there are better breakfast places around town.

Food was great, the service was even better. Nick was very pleasant and professional. Thank you for your wonderful service. We will be back. read more

Family and I are trying all the different brunch spots being new here to AZ. Read a TON of good reviews about the food at Egg N' Joe so we decided to try it. Place was packed and it was early, but everyone not in view of the kitchen. Asked for a booth and sat right in front of the kitchen to see ALL THE STAFF STICKING THEIR DIRTY FINGERS FROM THEIR PHONES UNTO GUESTS PLATES, TAKING PIECES OF PANCAKES AND DIPPING IT INTO THE SHARED SYRUP FOR CUSTOMERS. SO WE DOUBLE DIPPING NOW. ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING. To be eating and talking over customers food is definitely a health violation as well as sticking your fingers into the syrup and being in your phone and then touching food. I don't know you like that to be eating off the plate I'm paying for. NEVER WILL COME BACK. read more

It's okay. The Dutch baby is an overrated crepe - I've had authentic ones and this wasn't it. The BLT my mom ordered came out later than all the other tables food... which made no sense as it's a cold sandwich. I'm sure there is other options that were better but my experience just wasn't it read more

I was surprised how good the food was today. It's a chain but everything was fresh. The staff were pleasant. Oh yeah, the coffee was hot.

Great food and friendly service!! The service was fast and the waitress was so friendly. A casual environment but not loud.

Went during COVID and sat in their outside patio. Umbrellas were perfectly placed so that all tables were shaded. Every time I saw them walk past our table with someone else's meal I said, "I want to order that next time!" Lol. I have a lot of visits to cover all the things I want to try! Every plate looked delicious and had large portions. My friend and I shared the German and Potato Pancakes meals, each came with two eggs and choice of meat. Was expecting the German pancake to be light like a crepe but it was more dense and in between a regular pancake and crepe. The potato pancake was the winner for me! Best potato pancake I have ever had. Crunchy bacon bits, cheesy, just the right amount of onion. Delicious!! Highly recommend but a little greasy so warning to those who are trying to limit oily food. This place is pretty popular so expect a wait if you visit for breakfast on the weekend. We waited 30 minutes but it was totally worth it! read more

Decided to try this place for lunch with a friend and boy was I impressed. It was busy, but our server was great, and the food was ahhmazing! I ordered the Club sandwich with avocado and it was the best I've ever had. When I was done eating, I went to box up my leftovers, but it accidentally tipped and my sandwich fell on the floor. I was so bummed. When I went to pay, the cashier notified me that our server, Marci, had seen what happened and had ordered me a new half sandwich to go. She told the cashier not to let me leave until she brought it out. She didn't have to do that, but the fact that she did, really made my day. At that point, I felt the need to write this review. Marci, you were great and I'll definitely be returning. Thanks so much!! read more

Went here for the first time and have to say it was a very pleasant experience. Our waitress Marci was amazing, she was so helpful and honest about menu items etc and was spot on about everything she really was the highlight of the visit. She was one of the best servers I have ever had at any restaurant. As for the food it was typical in my opinion of most breakfast spot. We tried the german pancake since that is what they are known for and have to say I don't get the hype. It's just like a weird eggy crepe like thing. I would never order again, there was nothing wrong with it just not my thing. My husband got the rancher breakfast and really enjoyed it other than his eggs being over cooked. The portion was huge he couldn't even finish it. My son got the country fried steak and thought it was okay. My other son got the stuffed Hashbrowns and really liked them a lot. I ordered the egg white and veggie bowl, unfortunately mine I was quite disappointed in because of all the oil they used. My bowl literally had a pool of it at the bottom. Overall it was a great experience because solely of our waitress, if I was to go back it would be because of her since the food was just okay. read more

The amount of food was small portions. I was hungry after I ate my two small eggs Benedict. I ordered that and a side of hashbrowns about the size of my palm and it came up to $18 and I believe that was way too expensive. The iced tea was over $3.50. And we got charged for three of them even though there was only two of us. Good thing we caught that charge. read more

Nice breakfast place. Decent food and good service. I would rate this good, not great mostly due to ambiance.

Stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was very busy but we got seated in approximately 10 minutes. 4 people in our group. 4 breakfasts with 4 coffees. Total bill was $56 plus tip. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Good portion sizes too. Just a bit on the loud side in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and our waitress Hannah was great! read more

Awesome breakfast with extremely consistent service. I've been here at least a dozen times and sampled quite a few breakfast items. Still haven't got up the nerve for the German pancake though. Eggs always cooked properly, the hash browns are shredded as they should be! Biscuits are awesome, really delicious. Potato pancakes delicious, light and fluffy waffles. The Benedict's are good, bacon is crispy. My only criticism is since there aren't pots of coffee on the table the staff struggles to keep them refilled. If you want milk for your coffee just ask otherwise the prepackaged creamers are on the table. read more

The East Valley has a lot of very good breakfast spots--this is one of them. First the service. From the time we checked in--for a relatively short 15 minute wait on a hopping Sunday morning--to the time we walked out, staff were invariably friendly and welcoming. Our waiter, Brandon, went through the menu with us, highlighting his favorite items in each section and making a few recommendations based on dish popularity. Our drinks never sat empty, but we didn't feel a presence hovering over the table. Well done. Now the food. The problem is that there are too many things on the menu that look must-try, particularly when you're only in town for a couple days. Following Brandon's recommendation, our daughter got the potato cakes & eggs. She said they were every bit as good as he described them. I got the chicken fried steak & eggs with hash browns stuffed with bacon, cheese, & onions. I splashed a bit of Cholula all around, but the bites with no hot sauce revealed that the steak breading and gravy were well seasoned on their own for those who don't want that little extra heat. My wife got the lingonberry crepes with eggs and chicken sausage. Chicken sausage can be bland, but this wasn't--she loved it, as she did the crepes. The eggs? Well, she ordered them cooked hard, but they came out soft and slightly runny. While she tried to flag our waiter, a waitress saw her and cheerfully took them back. The replacements were properly done. When Brandon brought us the check, he also dropped off an envelope with a letter from the manager thanking us for our business and offering us $10 off our next visit. If this was to compensate for having the eggs recooked, wow! Some places it's hard just to get the order corrected. This is what an internal expectation of excellence looks like. As it happens, we don't leave the valley until tomorrow afternoon...we'll be back here for breakfast in the morning. read more

Was in the area picking up a farmhouse coffee table when we did a quick Yelp search for a grub spot, since I love eggs and coffee, I immediately chose to go. Was no wait which was good for 1pm on a Sunday, got my coffee and milk right away, while we were looking over the menu. We decided on the German Pancake and chicken fried steak with extra crispy hash browns.. Unfortunately the hash browns showed up soggy and minimal gravy on my CFS, the presentation of the poached eggs and sausage with the pancake combo was lackluster, and hard to eat on their own plate.. were they supposed to be on the pancake?? other than that, the Pancake was surprisingly delicious (I thought the lemon wedges looked odd), the food was good and so was the service.. I'll probably come back sometime for the chicken fried steak burger and the crabacado. read more

This place was awesome. We took my wife here for her Bday. We called ahead and found it was an hour wait. They gave us an estimated time to arrive so we didn't have to wait there. We get there and get seated right away. We had a party of 13 and they tried to fit us in a booth. That didn't work but they were fine with us grabbing the nearest table to us. It was close to lunch time and the breakfast rush was done. So much scrumptious items to choose from. I go with the Bacon, Tillamook Potato Cakes, and Eggs. I also order a Classic German pancake for the table. Never had one and I seen a bunch of pics so why not? My wife decides to get the Country Fried Steak and Eggs. The food doesn't take long to arrive. I get my plate and I have 2 crispy potato cakes, several slices of bacon and my over easy eggs. I am not impressed by the portion size but the taste totally makes up for it. The crunchy outside gives way to a very well seasoned potato cake with cheese. The bacon as good as it gets and my egg was cooked perfectly. Runny. I mopped that plate up. My wife said that her meal was good too. Her meal came with a biscuit which I happily finished for her. Don't know if it was made fresh but it looked and taste like it. I would order a half a dozen to go if I could. Now to the German Pancake. When it gets delivered, the waitress gives us the direction to spread the butter across the pancake, then squeeze the lemon slices to get the lemon juice. Mix both over the pancake to glaze. Lemon juice and butter? Maybe on a crab. But for some reason it worked. It tasted like a lemon tart. It gets soggy if it sits but I was able to cut into pie pieces and roll it up into a croissant type shape. We decided we have to try the German Pancake with the fruit fillings. All in all, everyone was satisfied with their meal and the prices were not outrages. The servings for the kids plates were large but like I said, I could have gone with another Potato Cake on my plate. Oh well, we are still going back. read more

Okay so I've been here a few times but have never splurged and got the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. Oddly enough I'm not a huge sweets person for breakfast but my mom and I decided we would split these. Just the smell of cinnamon when they were brought to the table was so amazing. They are super fluffy, delicious homemade cinnamon swirled pancakes and an absolute must-have for any pancake fans out there!! Our server Brandon was very patient with our indecisive ordering as non-morning people at breakfast ‍He recommended these pancakes and I'm so happy he did! We also ordered the Denver omelet and added hollandaise on top, definitely also a must! I found some of the egg/bacon platters to be a little more on the plain side with flavor. Also the coffee mugs here are SO cute and just asking to be photographed, so I happily obliged. read more
