We ordered eggs and chicken tenders and a veggie omelet. Eggs were cooked perfectly to order, and chicken tenders were good. The only disappointment was the frozen hash brown patty. My husband had expected "real" hash browns. The veggie omelet was so good--soft, thin, crepe-like eggs and loaded with vegetables. Grits were perfectly cooked. And the biscuits with honey! Edie's has changed for the worse. It has been a while since I had a biscuit there. In fact the last time I had one was when they were next door where Bread n circus is now. Edie's used to serve the best buttermilk (Bulgarian style) biscuits!!! I picked up a biscuit last Wednesday and to my surprise what I got was a yeast based monstrosity. I was soooooo disappointed!!! If I could give a zero I would. Visit this place a few times for the biscuits with my Boyfriend but, every time we would have to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes for my food to be given to us. It is very apparently that this is due to the fact that we were a interracial couple. People could order the exact same thing or even MORE than us and they were still getting their food as soon as they walk in. Being greeting from the moment they set a foot in the door by management with handshakes and smiles. Long story short, would never endorse this business. Can't beat the Edie's platter- 3 eggs cooked to order, choice of 1 meat, choice of hash browns or grits, and a huge biscuit- all for $5. They have fresh fruit trays with melons pineapple, and grapes. I watched a black officer get treated like he had a disease. Three white officers came into the establishment and had an enjoyable conversation with cashiers and management. I watched as those officers did not pay for their food. The black officer walked into the establishment and was greeted with a bottle of Germ X; in addition to paying for his food.
