Absolutely loved this place! It's been years since I've been, and I'm very glad to have made a trip back. The food was fantastic and came out quickly. The service was perfect, the ladies were so friendly, sweet, and attentive. Gets a bit loud at times since the place is small, but that's south Louisiana for you; we're all talking lol. Prices were very reasonable as well! I'm definitely satisfied with my visit.

Always Delicious pancakes, eggs, ham and grilled potatoes.

Abbeville institution We stopped by this homely restaurant for brunch on New Year's Day. The food was delicious and the service was fast and efficient. All the staff and customers were super friendly and chatty at this restaurant which simply oozed small town charm and hospitality!

Best little diner in town. Staff is friendly and remembers you like it's an episode of "Cheers." Try the duck p and definitely have the breakfast with the buttered biscuit cooked on the fryer. Your life will change for the better.

Best place to go for a good home style breakfast! Love the daily lunch specials, and the way they treat their breakfast and lunch guest.

The Southern Spread is another great restaurant in Abbeville! It has a unique cuisine that marries…read moreCajun and home-style foods, with a touch of class. It's both familiar and different, a delightful play on themes we all know and love. One example was the Bougie BLT I had today. It's the Melt of the Month, and is what happens when a BLT and a high-end grilled cheese sandwich have a love child. There's other adult grilled cheeses that are really great. Then there the things on buns, which include burgers and roast beef. I haven't made it to the plate lunches yet, but I intend to someday. I am also highly tempted by the whole-meal potatoes, there's a seafood and a beef version. Sides are available, but I just can't get past the loaded mashed potatoes and the seasoned fries. Both are incredible. For the more diet conscious there are some very nice salads and wraps. Soups and gumbos round out the menu. Service is always very nice and the orders are served promptly. Given these things, I certainly will have the Southern Spread on my short list of places to eat in Abbeville!

. OK, just got back…read morefrom our first visit here. Everything is confusing, up-front, but the food is very, very good and it is a nice place. Let me take it item-by-item. "Food Truck", yes there is a food truck, but it is parked in front of a nice medium size restaurant-cafe. Plenty parking in non-shaded private corner concrete lot, well-marked. There is sufficient parking even for a couple truck/boat-trailer rigs. Easy street access; place is about one block east of the V.P. Court House & VPSO HQ, fronting on Charity Street (Old LA HWY 14) in the business/banking/government center. This is in an extremely competitive restaurant neighborhood, with a number of excellent established eateries. In fact, we often drive the 45" to eat at several of the older places here. Entire place is very clean & neat, including restrooms. Their kitchen closes @ 2:00 PM Sundays. Arriving about 1:20, we were the only customers. Sunday menu is limited to breakfast & brunch type items. Foods are typical for region. This town is famous for good cooks, great Cajun & Southern foods. Waitress is nice, but is unsure of menu items; the maitre d' is more knowledgeable. However, once we got our cheeseburgers & fries, the meal was excellent. Very good burgers, good fries. Overall, very good food, digs, & overall value. No real disappointments. We'll definitely be back, but likely on a weekday for lunch. Will add Southern Spread to our "go-to list", especially when pulling our small boat. This is a definite "Try it, you will like it place" ! Rick .

NASTY ATTITUDE GIRL IN TRAINING FOR MANAGEMENT IN THE ABBEVILLE, LA. LOCATION..... I WOULD HIGHLY…read moreRECOMMEND, DON'T EAT THERE. I went to Burger King 3 days in a row to get lunch & or either dinner for myself and my son. Today 6/29/22 was my 3rd day that I went. When I went to the window to order my onion rings and then asked about their frozen drinks that they are ADVERTISING for $1.00 I was told once again for the 3rd day that the machine was not working. I then asked then why are y'all advertising them if being this is my 3rd day in a row coming to Burger King and they have never had them available, then why advertise? Well the NASTY, RUDE and VERY LOUD girl on the mic then told me well the machine is not working so what do you want me to do? I started to talk and she started saying and, and, and, constantly repeating herself. I immediately told her that she was very rude and I wanted to talk to a manager. She told me she was a manager. I told her well if you are management then I am going to pull up to the window. As soon as I drove up she was still being extremely rude. She asked me what she wanted her to do if the machine was broke. At this point it's far beyond the drink problem. It's now about her RUDENESS. She and I are constantly going back and forth. I told her I wanted the phone # to corporate office which she walked away to so call write the phone # down. I asked another girl what was her name and she said she did not know. I said you are working with your manager and you don't know her name? She replied, she is not a manager. When the very rude girl came back she told me her name was Sara and spelled it out. (SARA). When I then asked to speak to the REAL manager he told me her name was Sade Williams. I then tried calling the phone # she provided to me and I could not get thru. I drove off without getting my onion rings and pulled on the side of the road and called the phone # again that she provided. WELL of course, she gave me the wrong #. I then googled Burger King Corporate ofc. and found the correct #. I called and filed a complaint on her and then went back into Burger King and asked for management and told him not only did she give me a false name but also gave me the wrong # to Corporate. I told him that's what kind of management y'all are trying to train here. I told her that even tho you gave me the wrong #, I still filed a complaint on you. That is one of the rudest girls I ever dealt with in the fast food business. I will never eat at this location ever again. Burger King (Burger King 920 North State St, Abbeville, La. 70510)
