Went for breakfast on our way to Tabasco factory. Place was busy. Order at the counter. We both ordered omelettes & coffee. They gave us coffee cups at the counter. There is an area to doctor your coffee. They take your name and seat yourself. They have their own condiments. Order arrived a little later. They put bacon in my spouses veggie omelette. They also put my biscuit on her plate causing some confusion as to whose order is whose. The food was ok but nothing special. While they use ceramic coffee cups everything else is styrofoam and plastic. read more

We had breakfast here and thoroughly enjoyed it! We loved the nostalgic feel of a small town cafe' and the friendliness of the girls at the counter. The food was really good. They had run out of biscuits so I'd love to go back to try those! Also, we noticed that have plate lunches and found out that you can check their Facebook page daily to find out what they are. I think this will be a lunch spot for us from now on! Price was about $26.00 for two of us but we did add an order of pancakes to our order so it probably would've been around $22 or so for breakfast for two people. read more

I've eaten a sampling of Tons menu, from the crawfish etouffee to the fried chicken, salad, chicken fried chicken and delicious old school griddle fried hamburger, and it's all good. The atmosphere lends itself to a sort of nostalgia that makes you feel like a kid again. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food, on top of being dang tasty, is affordable. Food is fabulous. I've been twice & both times it was great. However the service was not so great. The first time I went the lady was rude & very short with me & my friend. Ton's is a family owned business that has been running for over 50 years. My whole family grew up eating there. It is our favorite place! We currently live over an hour away and will make trips to broussard often because we get lonesome for the food and people. The owners are wonderful people! The food is fresh, Cajun, good home-cooking. When you bite into their burgers you can tell that they are made fresh daily, never frozen, and the flavor is amazing!
