This has always been our first stop whenever we fly in from the Pacific NW, but I must admit we were very disappointed during both of our visits on this trip. They seemed to have changed the type of bread on their Poboy sandwiches which greatly affected the pleasure of eating them. The quality of their meat was still very good, but their gumbo was thinner and not as well seasoned. We have never had to add salt before. The ambiance was pleasant. The tables and carpet were clean, and there were plenty of staff hanging around waiting for something to do. The cashier could have been much friendlier and accommodating. Although I ordered a whole Poboy, when I asked if they could wrap each half separately she quickly refused, and only offered to cut the sandwich in half. This has never been a problem before. I guess now they couldn't spring for a 2nd sheet of wrapping paper?! We've been coming here for over 17 years, but sadly this might be the last time.

The service here is awesome. Everyone is sooooo welcoming and friendly. The ambiance is that of your typical cafe style restaurant. The food here is the star of the show. Whenever I visit for a few days I stop by here each day for lunch. They never miss, they always Hit!!! The chicken and sausage gumbo taste homemade.. best chicken and sausage gumbo I've ever bought from a restaurant. The Chris special is packed with flavor from the stewed roast beef and the saltiness of the ham.. the breading is not too thick and browned to perfection. 10/10..

This was my first time trying them. The salad was alright, I also had the whole roast beef poboy, also just ok.

Chris' is always a safe bet! This is the place you come for that standard, Louisiana poboy. There's nothing fancy, but sometimes that is just what you need. All Poboys served with chips, unless you want more. I will gladly suggest a cup of gumbo before the sandwich, but to each their own. Also, make sure you don't sit in these areas UNLESS you have 5+ in your group. They're serious!

Great Oyster Poboy just as I wanted it to taste. I ordered takeout here and service was fast.

Shrimp was cold. Looked like it been cooked. Looked like frozen shrimp. Why they don't add tomatoes.

She said we are out of those too. Wouldn't it be better to either say when we come in what you're out of or better yet have a sign that says we are out of pizza and calzones?! She copped a major attitude when he asked what do you have? She replied rolling her eyes we have sandwiches, soups and salads. We ordered our food and then we paid with a gift card which she couldn't get to work right and called the manager over while repeating that's she was done. We sat down and the food came out rather quickly, however my husbands bread was hard as a rock and had hardly any meat on it at all. For the prices there should be more meat than a thin slice! My sandwich was fine. I love Schlotzsky's and Florida no longer has them so we always seek them out when we leave the state however we will not be back to this particular location.

We came in and went straight to the counter to order. We received great recommendations from the nice lady at the counter. We were given multiple options on breads for the bun (white, wheat, sweet, etc..) The orders came out fairly quick and oh my Texan heart. These burgers are so freaking delish... the flavor was amazing. We both put them away if ya know what I mean, and didn't stop until we finished. This is a for sure gem! We loved it!

Found everyone parked on the back. Had a worm welco.e and seated right away. Staff is super friendly and attentive. We ended up ordering off the menu from the and had the Shawn's burger and Rodeo burger. Both of us kept it easy with a side of fries. I love the Sweet buns they use. Remind me of a yeast roll all our food was really good, balanced flavors. Only wish I could have asked for my burger to be cooled medium or even medium-well. The burgers were over cooked, but not to the point you couldn't eat them. I know ow some people like a grilled crust on their burgers. The fries were so crispy and seasoned just right. Definitely keeping Broaddus on our list to revisit
