    Freshly squeezed margarita
    Stacy E.

Saturday for lunch had such a fun relaxing cheerful vibe! The weather was beautiful so they had Carnelian Jazz Duo playing on the patio outside and the music was heard throughout the restaurant since the doors were left open! The food was great! My burger patty was big and tasty on top of a fresh salad! My husband had the breakfast and enjoyed it. The coffee was so fresh that I could smell it before my husband sat down holding the cup with an inviting aroma. Service was fast, considering the place was packed out. Margaritas are all caps always delicious and freshly made. Yes, I recommend this place especially on a Saturday for lunch on a beautiful day

I visited here during Festival International which took a bit of extra effort with all the festivities going on. I had heard from several people that they have a great burger here and I'm always looking to sample a great burger. So I put my order in but a bit later unfortunately I was informed that they had run out of beef for my burger. So I was forced to make another choice and went with the Chicken Salad Wrap with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and I had already ordered a Hibiscus Iced Tea. Overall the wrap was nice, the sweet potatoes were good and the hibiscus iced tea was refreshing but I still really would have rather had the burger. So at some point I still have to try the BURGER... My video review of Scratch Farm Kitchen is here: https://youtu.be/4wpCHCkKi0A

    Boudini with cheese hash

Absolutely amazing!!! The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is absolutely gorgeous! Such a great environment, very peaceful and calming. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The Boudini was absolute One of the best breakfast meals I've ever had. Left with a cold brew with honey. Overall a really great experience. Will definitely be back next time I'm driving through!

    Lunch Burrito

This charming eatery provides a delightful atmosphere and a cozy interior. I tried the lunch burrito, which was packed with fresh vegetables, rice, cheese, your picking of protein and slaw. It was good and I really enjoyed the sweet and spicy sauce that came on the side but the lemon flavor on the vegetables inside the burrito wasn't to my liking. While a bit overpriced, the overall experience was pleasant. Four out of five stars.

I always make time to stop in for a quick bite whether I am in Lafayette or just passing through. I love, love, love all the fresh ingredients and local options! This place is one of those restaurants where literally everything is good! Service is friendly and helpful. Ambience is very laid back. On a pretty day, we will grab a table in the courtyard and enjoy.

    Lavender Lemonade at the bar

This place had the best chicken salad I've ever had in my life, and the lavender lemonade was so pretty and delicious. It was very busy at lunchtime so you can tell it's a popular spot. It's a very cute and colorful place that feels very inviting. Highly recommend!

    Pretty plate...YUM!!

I absolutely love this place. It's such a cute, cozy spot with a very eclectic decor (love it). The employees were super nice and more than willing to help me and my bestie decide what to order. Even the patrons were awesome. There was a sweet couple behind us who were regulars and told us, "you've got to try this" and on their way out asked how we liked everything and were glad we liked what they recommended. I mean, that's the vibe here. Now, the food was great. Fresh and delicious. I got the pretty plate which included a protein, two veggies and a small salad. I chose a veggie patty, lima beans and broccoli. The veggie patty is one of the most unique ones that I've had and I mean that in the best way. It was so good. Now these lima beans...I'll just say they were so good until I bought some more to take home;-). The broccoli had a "sweet chili-like" sauce on it, which was a nice touch. The lavender lemonade is a must try if you like lavender (either you love it or hate it). This place is the reason that it's become my thing. The only complaint that I have is that I wish they stayed opened longer. I'm so glad that I found this place. I'll definitely be going back soon (tried to go back yesterday but got caught in traffic and had to turn around...yep, definitely going back ).

    Fresh bowl. Yum!!

Small and eclectic so you might pass it but it's perfect! Friendly people with great suggestions. Hubby and I got a bowl with a combo of hash, protein choice (pulled pork is awesome), egg, pickled veggies, guacamole and just flavor y'all!! Daughter got the KISS plate and said it was the best toast because their butter and mango jam was so good! Coffee nook was so cool, choose your cup. Only there no artificial sweeteners here so pick from monk fruit or sugar which was fine with me it was great coffee. I loved it, would definitely recommend.

Two big thumbs up!! Spent the night doing the festival and hit this gem before heading to NOLA. We ordered the hash bowl, a side of yogurt and a side biscuit. Fantastic! We chose pulled pork on the hash which also inc a perfectly OE egg, potatoes, veggies, pickled onions and japs. It was served with an out of this world green goddess sauce. The yogurt was light, homemade vanilla with berries. Yum! And my biscuit!!! It was a skillet biscuit with homemade jam that was a cross between a pancake and a biscuit. The vibe is open and warm, you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The menu is on the wall and they let you know what farms and provisioners they get your food from. Overall awesome experience. Highly recommend. I

    Breakfast burrito with boudin

One of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette. A little pricey but the food is always delish and totally worth it. It's counter service and the people are usually a little rushed, but pleasant. Food doesn't take long. Very farmy crunchy vibes.

Pretty pick (grits and hash potatoes)

Let's start with the dessert! The desserts are all right there in a clear display case when you're at the register. Such smart placement because I could barely get through the order before I ordered the carrot cake! It looked so mouthwatering and moist! They hand it to you after you pay, so you have to have the discipline to not eat your cake first (or don't!). The cake was just a good as I expected. The icing was light and not too sweet. The cake was very good, butttt when I got near the end, there was some type of fruit (mango? Idk) and I did not enjoy that one bite at all. On to the major plate, I had the pretty pick. You get to choose a protein and 2 sides plus a salad. The salad was a pretty large as I was expecting a small side salad. It comes with a small cup of dressing. Would have liked a little more dressing for a large salad, but the salad was good either way. The chicken breast is baked and made with some type of wine. Chicken Breasts are a little dry usually. This one was not too dry but just alright. The potatoes were alright but could have used a little more bell peppers or something. It comes With beet ketchup which I couldn't finish since I don't really like the taste of beets. The best thing was the grits. I literally cleaned the bowl. It was super packed on a rainy Saturday. There's a nice size parking lot next to the establishment. The waiter was ripping and running so we didn't get a water refill. We enjoyed the emotions otherwise.

Such a fresh quality freshly grown. Everything is delicious. I really like the turmeric unsweetened tea too.

My friend and I both loved the grits, as it was hot, buttery, and laced with pieces of corn kernels. We also really enjoyed the fluffy biscuits, warm beignets, and sticky cinnamon rolls. Usually cinnamon rolls tend to be too dry but the one at Parish was super moist and smothered in that ooey gooey cream cheese icing. I also appreciate the option to customize and swipe out sausage meats and veggies. Case in point, I was able to get the eggs benedict with turkey sausage instead of ham. Even though there is a bit of a line at the door, the meals come out fast and hot once your order does get placed. The drinks were pretty standard but my friend really enjoyed his espresso martini and my Paloma mimosa was sweet and packed with flavor. All in all, I really enjoyed every dish and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

Once we finally found it, we were very happy both because - yay we found it - and it smelled so yummy inside. I love a breakfast place with a full bar too. Drinks before 10am, yes, please! So, we get in line to order our yummer biscuits. I like places that have counter type service where you pay for your food and sit. It can make it easier when you have a big group or in a hurry. I ordered the fried chicken hot honey biscuit, the Cameron! ahh hot honey! I would have ordered the crawfish one, because I so those coming out of the kitchen, and holy hell! It just wasn't crawfish season when I went, so noseys to ordering crawfish out of season. I also ordered alcohol, because why not. I got the most amazing Irish coffee! It the predecessor before all these martini espresso followers. I took a very messy and sticky bite of my hot honey chicken biscuit - which was huge by the way - and I was in bliss! I really liked everything about this place. And it was all so clean and the staff were friendly too. I will be back next time I am in town to try more of those biscuits and maybe another Irish coffee? :-)

The interior of this location was very nice and welcoming. There was a good mix of seating options that seemed accommodating for both larger groups and smaller parties. The music selection was also enjoyable and added positively to the overall atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp and andouille omelette. I will say the presentation was very stark and uninteresting. Just based on how it looked, I would not have expected much from the dish. While I cannot quite pinpoint how it could be improved visually, it simply came across as boring on the plate. That said, the omelette itself was better than expected once I started eating. The bites that included both shrimp and andouille sausage were the strongest and most flavorful parts of the dish. Overall, if I were judging strictly on appearance, my expectations would have been low. Taste wise, I would give the meal about a 6 out of 10. I did notice several other dishes coming out to nearby tables that looked more appealing, so while this order did not fully impress me, I would not rule out returning. Next time, I would likely try something different from the menu.

There's no host stand or clear seating system, so the entrance felt chaotic. We weren't sure what to do until a nice local told us to just grab a table. After sitting down, it took about 5 mins for a waitress to stop by with the menus. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch items, but the ordering process is confusing. We were told breakfast orders would be taken at the table and lunch needs to be ordered separately at the cafeteria style counter. My husband went to the counter to order lunch while I stayed behind, waiting for the server to return with drinks and take our breakfast order, she never did. The smothered pork dish looked worse than school cafeteria, and unfortunately tasted like it too. It was overly salty and the pork had a weird taste to it. Since we had already paid for the lunch item upfront and still hadn't been able to place breakfast order, we decided to cut our losses and went to another restaurant. Overall, wasted 35 mins and left frustrated and disappointed, definitely won't come back!

The main issue here is the overall service experience and the food quality. The interior is old school but immediately chaos; there is a Luby's style ready serve food line and tables as well for dine in. We didn't know but apparently you just find a table and sit down, we were standing around waiting to be seated for a bit. Apparently you order lunch plates at this hot food line and then order breakfast via your server at the table. This makes no sense. We waited 35 minutes for staff to take our breakfast order and beverages unsuccessfully, so I went up and ordered a lunch plate of smothered pork and just paid up front. The guy working the ready made food line was also pretty rude and didn't want to be there; great! It was definitely below Treebeard's level and was very salty and not very flavorful. The sauce that they poured on the rice was extremely salty as well. Meh food quality and the absolute chaos of the brunch dining experience made the brunch meal very unenjoyable for our group. We left afterwards and went to another restaurant to eat.
